Ok, so this movie has been talked about in the movie thread for too long. SOooooo here is a thread dedicated only to spiderman 3. Leave any thoughts or hopes for the movie here. ^-^

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I have to admit, my knowledge of the comic isn't that great (I know, shame on me )
hehe I only read Spidey comics to clone thingi with appearance of Ben Reilly and his fight with Venom, so actually about new stuuf I dont know anything, besides spoilers from Ichi in the Spidey-comic topic :D

And about 3 movies or more, I think there will be more, Like Ichi said, it's moneymaker ^^ Also, I read somewhere, when Spidey 2 was in cinemas, that there are going to be 6 movies, and if it will be popular in this 6 movies, there will be even 3 more, up to 9. Butlike i said, it was when SPidey 2 was in cinemas, so info is quite old.

Topher isn't necessarily my problem but I used to watch that animated show and in there Venom was absolutely huge, he had muscles like whoa, and this incarnation looks a little wimpy compared to that.

You guys can see more of Venom in the "final trailer" of Spider-Man 3. Personally I think he looks just groovy.

But I agree, Sandman looks like he's going to be great.

Venom is cool, but they need somebody of the build of Chiklis (that Shield guy who plays Thing in F4).

Still, Chiklis would be cool---or that guy who jumped from the pier to M J's rescue in Spidey 2---thought he was gonna be Venom. I just ran off with the hope that he fit the bill.

Another itch: Why am I still sad about Carnage not being that "third villian?"

All the talk about three villians in Spidey 3, and bam, no Carnage :darn

I agree with those who said that Venom looks a little puny.. I hope, if he will be in the film, that he will be more build-up..

Of kors I think that Venom will be only born in the end.. but how You think about it, maybe he will be the third villain :x

Spiderman was pretty cool. Watched it yesterday...but 2 scenes were just tooo bad, the scene when he jumps in front of a big american flag and when they are talking on the bridge in the park...

I saw Spider-Man 3 yesterday for a special screening, the movie opens today (May 2nd) in my country and i'm gonna watch it again. Why? Why not. :D

Just got back from the midnight showing (well not just but a little while ago) and i loved it. there were a couple parts that could have been done better and others that were a bit wierd, but overall it was great

COMPLETE SPOILAGE!


First, let me just say, I was VERY dissappointed that Venom didn't kill Spidey when he had the chance. Why do villians waste so much time? He could have easily put that rod through Spidey's throat, or just lobbed his whole damn head off!! :twisted:

In all seriousness, I wished Venom had been in the movie a little more. The action with Venom was incredible, and I thought the look worked well on the screen. I thought that Venom should of had a scarier voice, but it's no big deal. I also thought he was beaten kinda easily, but oh well.

The Sandman was GREAT! They really did a great job with his powers and making him a legit threat. Him teaming up with Venom at the end was spectacular, with Sandman being this huge sand monster, I enjoyed that a lot.

I also liked Harry a lot too, the fights with him and Peter were well done, and it was even cool to see them team up at the end and make up before Harry died. I'm still not crazy about Harry's get up, but again I thought it wasn't too bad in motion. They did a great job making Harry and Peter's feud even more personal.

Also, Bruce Campbell, one of my gods :D was just hilarious in his scene, I laughed my ass off.

Of course, J.J. was great in his scenes too, I wish they would throw in a few more, I don't know that ANYONE nails their role better than J.J.

And who says the movies don't cater to comic fans? We even got a clone saga, MJ bitch slap! In all seriousness, just like when it happened in the comic, that just made me uncomfortable, I didn't really like it. I know that they were trying to get across, but Peter already came off as enough of a douchebag just showing up at the club and doing what he was doing.

By the way, "bad" Peter looked like some emo kid from high school, it was just.... jeez, how about all his dancing and pointing in the street, talk about a white boy. Hahaha.

Connecting the Sandman to Uncle Ben's murder didn't bother me either. I know some people were worried about how that would work out, but in the end I thought it was just fine.

One final thing I want to mention, and maybe it's just cause MJ is one of my favorite characters or whatever, but I wish her and Peter had said SOMETHING in the final scene... ANYTHING. I mean, I took it as they'll be alright, but still.... just SAY SOMETHING TO EACH OTHER DAMMIT! I think she should of at least told Peter that Harry made her break up with him. Not that Peter kissing Gwen in front of MJ (as Spidey of course) wouldn't of been grounds... in my book anyway :P to break up, but still. They definitely should have said something.

Well, that's all I can think of that I want to say... for the moment. :wink: I totally loved the movie, like I knew I would. Seeing my favorite villian on the big screen was great. I'll probably go see this movie a few more times while it's in the theather.

Saw the movie last night! Really liked it - a few parts I was slightly disappointed with but nevermind. I wish they'd expanded venoms part a bit more & cut down slightly on the love story side of it. Ah well...and yes, a venom vs carnage movie would be godlike!

This movie is TOTALLY shattering all the box office records, both in the U.S. and worldwide. We may never see another superhero franchise do this sort of thing again.

I haven't seen Spidey 3 yet - planned to go yesterday but ended up being too sick. I'll probably wait right now, though, until it's captioned at a special theater in Knoxville, probably next week.

well they have already pretty much confirmed that they will make 4, 5, & 6 (the only factor being that If Raimi doesn't direct, they need to recast both MJ and Parker). since they've already used the big villains (Goblin, Octopus, Venom), you know one of the movies (most likely 6 but possibly 5) will be Carnage, and so we would definately see a Venom return for that movie

I seriously thought the movie could've been better. It seemed like the whole Venom story was rushed through. Not only that but they even killed him off too. I enjoyed it as a movie but as a story, it was a bit too rushed.

I think it missed a good helping of "character-protein." ;) If that at all sounds cheesy... I'm just honoring the movie. :p Don't think Raimi studied the (many) "mirrors" of Peter well enough. Even so, I analyzed the movie a bit...

Now SM3 makes just enough sense that I've changed my reaction---to all of its plot-fattened... pleasures: I think its a crackpot way of being genius It's a very "playful" character study :D Kind of like a farce of the other two ("I, Peter Parker, can laugh at how far I've come---not enough. But we've healed the scars, right? Right?" :D )

I can't remember where, but there was someone who said the 3rd Spiderman would be the last. So I wouldn't get my hopes up :(

I watched SM3 and only I can say: superb movie, as I expected to be, and even more :D

First of all, until finally movie arrived, I thought Venom will be not in the movie, just will be "born", and vuala, he was there. But he could be longer, or just film could be longer with Venom scenes :x xDxD Sandman rocks, goblin rocks, for me everything rocks, and hope to see movie 4, it would be cool hyhy ^^
