The worst movie I ever seen is Initial-D the movie.
The storyline is almost totally different from the anime/manga. The acting is lame except the actor who plays bunta ( I like his acting). Team Emperor outfit is like WTF!? and I can't accept the fact that Sudo's EVO III crashed in the movie. The only good part of the movie is only the racing scene.

If you guys think Daredevil is bad... then you haven't seen Dracula 3000 and Ice Queen. Watch them both and you will love any other movie (even though the very last minutes of Dracula 3000 are great :P, you'll understand if you ever feel like seeing it and wasting your time).
Oh, and I didn't really find Daredevil that bad. I guess it's because I never read any of his comics.

The Die Hard's are classic. 1st will always be best.
Just watched Clockwork Orange. How the Hell did they manage to release that in 1971?! O.o

I don't know, I went out to see Catwoman a while back and I think my mind is permanently scarred for life. That's the only movie I have ever walked out of in the middle of it. It was that bad. Halle Berry in leather didn't make it any better, either.

This has probably already been commented on but I watched the Da Vinci Code. Not read the book (and don't aim to). I thought it was just ok. Didn't deserve to be slated like it was, but certainly nothng special either. It was a bit like watching an Indianna Jones movie that's twice as long and less than half as exciting.

catwomen was truly a killing expreince. but Jisinai be glad you didnt see it till the end, my god that was truly one of the worst fights i've ever seen.
@ Neo, living of the dead 3 was not that bad, it just followed the others movies a bit but i think it essentially kept what makes living of the dead.
been a while sense i posted a movie. cant really think of a bad film now....wait..... it actually was a good film overall, but it had a truely terrible story line...Arahan.
but what kept it a good film i found was the action. and the terrible once line jokes.

true true. read the review somewhere. seems QT didn't actually have much to do with the movie at all. they're just using his name to market the movie. reviews weren't that great. then again...same goes with the Da vinci code and that hasn't stopped ppl from going to watch it

What is wrong with hollywood?lately all the films that are coming to theatres are all continuation films.I mean final destination 3, X-Men 3, pirates of the carribean 2-3.The list goes on and on.I think they cant find good scenaries anymore so they drag the old ones.
that is why I am looking for different country films.
you guys should watch "My Sassy Girl" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293715/) if you havent watched already.it is the best romantic comedy I have ever watched.there will be a hollywood version in theatres in 2007.
and there is"...Ing" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381838/).it is more like a drama than a romantic movie.you will absolutely cry when you watch this.
look at the ratings for these films.believe me they deserve even more.koreans know how to make good romantic movies.I would like to have some more suggestions if there are any korean(south) among us or some other fareast movies.

you dont mean this film (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0192657/), do you?
I dont think I would like a film whose plot is "North Korea's 8th Special Forces hijacks a shipment of CTX, a potent new liquid explosive, and threatens" . Man, I nearly hate holywood action films.this plot seems just like them.
I will look at the horror movies you mentioned although I watched a few holywood versions.

hm... the whole package is not actually about action though...
the main story is that the guy is one of the anti-terrorist squad..
it's like 24.. warning of attacks, and they have to stop their attack before it happens
but the plot twist..
he didn't know his wife is part of the terrorist squad.. she's a sniper..
her wife doesn't know he's the leader of the team...
so partially it's like mr and mrs smith.. but in a much more serious situation..
nothing comedical about this movie
and of course this movie was long long before mr and mrs smith..
a really touching and sad movie..
and the climax.. don't click on it if you think you wanna watch it..
she killed his friends..
she tried to kill the president..
in the end.. he had to shot her.. (one very sad scene.. the whole cinema was in tears)

Somebody have seen 'Silent Hill'? It's a very cool movie, and for those who are fans of the games, it is very worthy to watch...
Nice animation and creepy...
And it's very related to the games, so is not so useless to watch... (not like Resident Evil, non of the story is very related to the games).
In the end, there's a lot of blood... lots.
If you thought that videogames adaptations aren't that good to see, well, this is an exception.
In my opinion:

Yeah, but it's not exactly an adaptation of the first game. The movie is before the 1st game, that's why the main character is a woman.
And, yeah, it's a really cool movie.

I haven't watched it yet, but I heard that Superman Returns is a great movie.
Anyway I watched two movies recently; the omen and Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift. They both weren't bad movies and both had good points but The Omen needed a better ending and Fast and the Furious should just not worry about a story and just make it about driving.

Errr..... from the looks of the trailers, poster and pics, I don't think it is a great movie and have no intention to watch it, but you all (that had watched the movie) seems to love it. Maybe, MAYBE i'll watch it. Anybody watched the movie and thought it was bad?
Note: Looks like there will be another movie adapted from comics and animations. Its Transformers. It will out in 2007. This one is a live-action one! The trailer is up a few days ago on its official website. Here (http://www.transformersmovie.com/) And its a Michael Bay (Pearl Harbour, Armageddon) film.

Someone told me Hostel had a lot of women, and then like a small portion at the end was disgusting gore. I'm not into that kinda movie so I don't think I could bring myself to watch it. ^^;;
Just watched Pirates, and it was what I expected. Mildly entertaining, but nothing exceptional. Coulda done with a bit stronger plot (it seemed rushed in parts to me).

It's a kid's movie by Dreamworks but quite funny. I really enjoyed it.
It's not as cool as "Ice Age 2" but it's really nice.

I saw Over the Hedge a few weeks back and I was really disappointed in it. Ice Age is one of my all time favorite movies, so I expected Over the Hedge to be just as good. Sadly, I didn't find it all that funny. Though it was an okay movie, but nothin can beat Ice Age. xD
Two other movies I saw recently were The Lake House and The Devil Wears Prada. The Lake House was a very sweet movie and I'm glad I saw it. I'm not all into the romantic movies, but The Lake House was really worth it. The Devil Wears Prada was also another great movie and well worth the $6 or $8 to go see it. (for me it was $6...)

"Pirates" disappointed me. Yes, it was a good movie, but I found it sadly lacking in many areas. Not as much funny banter or dialouge b/w the characters, and it seemed very rushed. It wasn't as smooth as the first. It seemed really choppy to me. Still, I did enjoy it.
Anyone else excited to see "Clerks II"?
I love Kevin Smith's movies. Except "Chasing Amy."
I'm a little hesitant to see "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," though, because lately, Will Ferrel has been a bit dissapointing.

Anyone got any ideas about M. Knight Shymalan's (sp?) "Lady in the Water" or "The Descent?"
Lady in the Water might be good, I like some of Shymalan's work (Signs, mostly) but I hated The Village.
The Descent looks a little too horror/gory for me. I'm not into that kind of thing.
Anyone else got predictions??
karasu

nooooo wayy..shyamalan's work was disappointing.. only his trailers were good..
signs had really2 good teasers and trailer.. i raise up my expectations..
only to get disappointed real bad..
and the plot twist for "the village" were too weak.. one word destroys the whole movie, "exile" that is..
i was looking through imdb to find out what the village was about..
and i read the intro bit...hm..seems interesting..
then i watched it..in the end, i was like... wha? why? why does it have to end like that? any point of this at all? and then i realised we're not supposed to know that they're living in exile.. we were supposed to see them as people from medieval era... then he's gonna surprise us in the end that they were living in a secluded area... what a weak plot twist...
but all of the actors didn't convince me at all that they were medieval people... bad bad movie...
looking at 2 strikes..i'm gonna expect a strike out with this one.. not even gonna watch it.. the plot isn't that interesting at all..

Yeah, I really didn't like the Village. Your right about the whole weak plot twist thing. Watching the movie, I wasn't expecting it, but when it happened I was like...wait, that's it? that's the best culmination you could come up with?

Yeah it's just a stupid horror movie probably, I don't watch horror movies becuase I'm afraid I'll start laughing in the middle(great example: child's play)
I really was never a fan of Ghost Rider, didn't read many comics anyway. But stuff like Sleepwalker and Ghost Rider seemed pretty stupid to me.

Oh well.
I'm actually trying to get my hands on a supernintendo so I can go back a revisit some of my favorites: The Super Mario games and Donkey Kong. Haven't played those in years. My friends and I used to get together and play those. It was the best. Those were the days....
I used to have the original Nintendo. God, I loved duckhunt. I used to think I was the coolest when I used that "gun" to shot the ducks and the clay discs.
Wow. Waaaaaaay offtopic. Lol.
but, speaking of movies.....
The third Pirates of the Carribbean "At World's End" is slated for a May 25, 2007 release! No plot info as of yet, but at least we only have to wait less 10 months! http://www.film-releases.com/movies/film-information/movie-5468

Final Fantasy rocks, but I didn't really get much out of FFVII AC. Every now and then I like to watch it again to watch all the cool battle sequences, but it was way too short. I think it could have used at least 20 more minutes of story somehow. Maybe show more of the banter or fighting from the other characters.
And I regret every day that I pawned my Super Nintendo (times were tough) and lost it, along with all my games. Wish I could go back and do something about it, but ah well... at the time I barely had time to play any games at all and I always felt that it'd be no problem to get it again. Biiiig mistake. Especially some of these games... Ogrebattle for example... ahh well.
Duckhunt... that takes me back :D
As for the third Pirates of the Caribbean game, yep heard about that - also heard Keith Richards ( the musician that Johnny Depp based his character of Jack Sparrow on ) will have a cameo as Jack's father as well in that one. You can probably guess where he's going to meet his father, if you saw the end of the second movie. Although I didn't like the second movie that much, I bet the next movie WILL be better because of where they'll all be going. Hope so.

During the last week when I didn't have access to MH, I did rent and watch V for Vendetta and I'd give it a thumbs up. Very well made movie. Did the comic a lot of justice, I think, and I really like how V was portrayed. Phantom of the Opera meets Batman, I guess - not your typical superhero at all.

Gold Knight
August 08, 2006, 12:50 AM
A Watchmen movie was actually in the making, but unfortunately it's a dropped project. Studios are intimidated by both the magnitude of the challenge AND the lack of a "happy ending," it seems. There's a producer who's constantly promoting it to studios tho, so we'll just have to wait and see.
But whether Watchmen is made into a movie or not, I have to throw in my ten cents there - it'd work vastly better as a TV series than a movie. That's a REALLY involved storyline, and I don't think 2 hours is enough to really capture the essence of the masterpiece.

Anyone seen 'The Night Listener' yet? It's that new one with Robin Williams and some creepy kid who listens to his night time radio talk show. I want to see it, but I don't want to waste money if the movie isn't any good.

Well the preview looked quite ok, and some of the feedback was pretty good but the people on imdb only gave it 5.7 out of 10. But don't be frightend by that. The rating on imdb is rarely really fare to the movie... anyho, read some on the forums and read some feedback there. Then you'll get a pretty good idea about it I guess ^^
The Night Listener on IMDB (http://imdb.com/title/tt0448075/)
There's also another movie coming out and the preview looked interesting...it was called Wickerman, or something....hm.
"The Wicker Man" to be exact. It's a remake of quite a good movie from 1973 with the same name, so fans of the old one is allready bashing the new one. But the rumours are that the new script is quite good and that the choice of actors was more or less fitting grate... But I don't really now, just rumours. Read some about it, see the original and think about seeing the new one. I don't think I will, but I love the original :pleased
The Wicker Man (1973) on IMDB (http://imdb.com/title/tt0070917/)
The Wicker Man (2006) on IMDB (http://imdb.com/title/tt0450345/)
Are you serious? The guy who played Smith is V? Wow, definently didn't realize that.
He is actually a really grate actor on stage and in front of the camera. So I really saw him fitting the role of V before I saw the movie. The V for Vendetta comic is grate and the movie was a good adaption, though I still considder the comic to be much better then the movie.

Well, we are talking about movies, so it's on topic ;)
I prefer comedies, romances and action movies. Comedies because I love to laugh (duh), romances because I am a romantic at heart XD I love a good movie where girl meets boy (or vice versa) they have angst and problems, fall in love, happy ending. I especially like the ones where the hero saves the heroine (like he's a cop and she's being hunted down by the bad guys for some reason) and they fight off the bad guys and end up gettting married and having kids XD
Action movies are good because they get the adreneline going, and keep you interested.
What about you?

I like touching stories with a lot of heart or real tragic lives of people and outstanding visuell stuff ( What Dreams May Come for example if you know it)...lost in translation was nice too =) and for sure romantic movies, did you like the newer version of romeo+juliet? most action movies are just entertainment for nice 2 hours and not more ^^ nothing that remains too much in brain :) same for comedies...i somehow liked hitch the date doctor xD well but mostly i dont go the cinema because i only watch the best of the best =)

The Boss wants him to kill The Rabbi's son cos his son got killed. The Rabbi wants him to pay $33.000 that his friend owes. What makes it worse, if he managed to kill The Rabbi's son, he's gonna be killed by Goodkat (The Bruce Willis), an assassin. and Lucy Liu is hot!

I’ve thought about it, and I have to say “Three man and a leg”!!! It’s an Italian movie from back in 98 or something… About three guys and an art piece, and their incredible journey…
I watched it with some friends at the cinema… Man, we wore laughing so hard other people started to talk: “I don’t know what to look at, the movie, or these kids rolling on the floor laughing!!! What’s funnier???”
One and a half hour of pure teenage madness….. was nice.

it actually had a little bit of storyline (unlike many other martial arts movies). it was a very simple story but it was still there. and the fights were awesome. there's this beautiful scene with Jet Li and a Japanese fighter sitting and discussing the philosophy of tea and fighting. beautiful.

i agree with u DesiSkull, that guy knows how to move.... ahh en there is another moving about martial arts i thinks is called "The Protector" u should go and watch them
ahh tht must me it. cus one of my friend did mention about a movie that he didnt know the name and he said some new martial art guy too. so im think this is it. i will download that movie.
i just finished watching Fearless. it was really good! Jet Li choose a great movie to retire with.
the choreography was great, Yuen Wo-Ping knows his stuff. But the cool thing with this was that
it actually had a little bit of storyline (unlike many other martial arts movies). it was a very simple story but it was still there. and the fights were awesome. there's this beautiful scene with Jet Li and a Japanese fighter sitting and discussing the philosophy of tea and fighting. beautiful.
see it, buy it and then watch it again!
cant believe its already released out on ur side. but here in usa it comes out on the 22th of this month. good thing u didnt spoil the movie lol so thanks.
PS i watched crashed the other day. what a nice movie.

Yeah!!! that is the protector. I watched it yesterday. Toni jaa from thailand, the new martial artist on the block. I think this one was probably better than his last one. Some of the scenes are quite good. At least i am glad he has his own unique style. and someone is taking over from Jackie chan, jet li, hung, chow yun fat, and the others.
anyways, i really donT believe Jet Li is retiring. He will come back after getting tired of boredom and probably play some old grandfather or a martial artist master/teacher later. Just wait and see :p

haha it would be cool. being J. chan the oldest than Jet Li and then Tony Jaa. but its highly unlikely. neither chan or lee would want to take a suporting role. besides chan does more like comedy/martail arts movie and Li just does hardcore. but i positive that Jaa wouldnt mind working with either of them

You know what you are saying is only one of the possibilities. the guy is just in his forties-- How can you be soo certain about what he will do in the remainder of his days as a movie star? Action lead stars like Toshiro Mifune all end up doing a variety of films not just being the action lead star all through their film careers.
One should also consider why he says this is his last action epic? what is he going to do now?

and i saw him in Saving Private Ryan(no "saving ryans privates" jokes please). so i was just curious of what other stuff hes been in. and i come across a movie called Slither. its a horror/sci fi thing. i watch it. LOL.
it was one of the worst movies ever, if you base it on plot which i always do. but it was a lot of fun to watch. a lot of laughs at a lot of stupid comments. and one of the coolest moviedeaths ive ever seen actually. blood and guts flying everywhere :D. so if you ever wanna see a pointless but funny movie i recommend Slither. and the movie had one boobshot and thats always nice =D

Haha! Hero is one movie i cant forget. Remember the scene where Jet Li and the other casts show off their sword skill in that room full of scrolls? I gasped (out loud) when all the scrolls crumbled from the shelves, thinking: "WTF?! Who's gonna put 'em up back on the shelves?!! AAAARRRGGH!!!"

X-Men 3 wasn't as good as the first two X-Men movies imo now that I've got a chance to watch it again. I initially had mixed feelings about it when I saw it, liked parts of it, hated others, but there were some things I wished they hadn't done and that really ruined the movie for me.
Eragon looks good, but I'm not sure about the dragon designs - they look a bit too flat-nosed. But I'll definitely see it, but I'm not expecting it to be as good as the LoTR movies. (I'm a little disappointed that more fantasy-themed movie didn't come out since the last LoTR movie, though.)
The movie I'm most looking forward to right now is Spider-Man 3, after seeing the trailer for it. I can tell Sandman is already going to be visually awesome.
I'm planning to get Superman Returns this week - I really liked that movie.

Yesterday, I watched SCARFACE for the fist time (I wanted to watch it because I bought the game last week) and it's a really cool movie.
It's not that violent (I imagened worst) and funny sometimes...
But, saying f*** all the f***in' time is funny in the biggining, boring in the end.
But that I really didn't like was... THEY KILL MONTANA!!
I mean, whatha f***!!! He didn't deserve a dead that stupid. But watching Al Pacino saying:
"SAY HELLO TO MY LITLE FRIEND!!" was very cool. His acting in that movie is unbeliaveble.
It's a bit old (1983), and goes to slow (it's a 2hours 40minutes movie!) but a really great movie. A Classic!
My rate: 9/10

Yeah, I'm not too interested in watching Deja Vu. It doesn't look too exciting. I could be wrong about it though.
I haven't seen Casino Royal yet. I definitely want to watch that.
The last movie I saw was Borat. Damn funny movie. The humor is completely wrong yet so right. Hahaha!

X-Men 3 wasn't as good as the first two X-Men movies imo now that I've got a chance to watch it again. I initially had mixed feelings about it when I saw it, liked parts of it, hated others, but there were some things I wished they hadn't done and that really ruined the movie for me.
i totally agree with you on this. I like the first two more than the third. Immediately i finished watching the third i had an unfilfilled feeling in my gut-- and kept telling myself they could have done it better.
Anyways, i am waiting for Rocky 6-- christmas time

Well, the so-called movie makers in my country made some awful movie. but since there wont be many members familiar with those so-called movies, i'm gonna named:
- Catwoman (why can't they just call it "We're just using the name Catwoman")
- Battlefield Earth (it's the 31st century and they got working M-16.)
- Glitter (Mariah, you got a great voice, but acting? don't lose that day job, k?)
- Highlander 2 (if they're from outer space, they should be named the aliens)
- Batman & Robin (Holy crap, Batman! We're it! Nipples on Batman & Robin but not on Batgirl? Where's the fun in that?)
- Anacondas: Hunt for the Black Orchid (there are no Anacondas in Borneo, trust me)
- Spice World (They got Girl Power! All they need now is Acting Lessons!)
- Postman (Kevin Costner should've stayed to be eaten by the wolves)

All these action movies... Soo, anyone seen The Nativity Story? :) Sure, it's not the most action-y exciting movie ever, but it gives you a view of how life was that long ago. Yes, I know that I'm just babbling now, who would pay seven bucks for a historical film? But I got to say, it's pretty interesting.

The books are always better. (Except LOTR those films just pwned, the books are equally as good)

The Host
It was pretty good. It's about some monster that evolved with the help of toxic waste. It goes around terrorizing helpless Koreans. The humor and drama were pretty good and the sfx for the creature looked good as well.

I saw Deja Vu (starring Denzel Washington) earlier today. It was pretty good, about this federal agent investigating the bombing of a ferry in New Orleans that killed 500+ people and the (seemingly seperate) murder of a woman he falls in love with (when she's dead >.>) It was a good movie ^^ A little confusing in some parts though XD

I fell asleep watching Dejavu right when they're explaining how that satellite imaging doohickey works. Woke up just right before Denzel went into the machine. :D
