I can't watch individual episodes of Code Geass repeatedly. I have to start from episode one and end at the most recent episode; one straight shot. Same for any Macross series
We're at the halfway point. Can all these issues really be concluded by the last episode...?
Rolo sucks. Sayoko is cool breeze.

Hi guys ^^
From my time been a Code Geass forum lurker, here's some reliable speculation;)
So far, one speculation became true :D
1. Karen will be put on "house arrest" by Nunnally.
2. Near the end of R2, Suzaku, while fighting OoBK, uses Nina's nuke because our Einstein told him that it was just a "stronger" weapon. Asahina manages to partly disable it, but dies in the process.
3. Lelouch is the "Forsaken Son of God(s)".
4. Orange-kun will be on Lelouch's side in the future.
5. Guinevere does something that throws the Imperial Family into chaos.
6. The Geass Ruins will be activated, starting Ragnorok, and thus the "death" of God(s).
Joke Speculation: C.C. stands for "Cheese Crust".

I watch the RAW (one or two times), watch the episode, subbed by Eclipse, two times. And when the season is over, I will watch everything again.

*ignores schwindel's spoilers because the last one he read ruined shirley's death*
interesting developments this ep. first, the possibility of orange-kun's geass canceler enabling new orders has been confirmed, and that just blows my mind. lelouch now has an ally that can bypass one of the limits of his geass. he can even reprogram himself and suzaku if he wants. w00t.
when i predicted that lelouch would eventually force rolo to live outside of time, i didn't think he deserved it. now, i do, so i hope it happens.
something about nunn and ep 12 that i just realized. does she have a knight yet? if not, kallen could fill that position and keep an eye on/protect nunn for lelouch. would be very interesting to see how the black knights react.
[hr]
Or they just could seal him into a plum/steel box and throw him into the ocean. muhahaha
geass isn't allowed to copy off of baccano!

Wow..with the latest developments,Lelouch now has his own *Knights*...:blink
Toudou,Rolo,Orange-kun,Kallen...on par with Knights of Rounds..cool!~~:D
maybe there will be a massive battle among these commanders?:darn

Isn't Suzaku Nunallys knight right now?
DragonKiss
July 08, 2008, 10:27 AM
whats Baccano?well,he is still Euphemia's knight right?i think that even though euphie's dead now,Suzaku can't just become someone else's knight......
now that Nunally's governer of Are 11 now,she too is entitled to a Knight..maybe she'll choose Kallen?xD

It's one of the best Anime 07.:P
If it is someone it would be Suzaku. I do not think that she knows Kallen so well. But I do not know if Rounds can be Knight for someone anymore. Did he give up his dream of Knigh Nr 1 up now, since Nunallys work.

Too bad an anime of this stature doesn't have it's own sub-forum.:mad
Hmm...Suzaku pretty much the man Lelouch trusted to protect Nunnaly..however with the current engagement with the OoTBK..i wonder if he still has time to protect her,in case something happen:blink
You know,i think that Kallen will defect to Brittania as Nunally's knight because i think apart from that, how can she escape?besides,it IS Nunnaly..not someone else..
jus my 2 cents

She does not want to escpape and her position is the best in the current situation. She created the united stations of Japan, what brought allot more freedom and equality to the 11s.

are u refering to Nunnaly or Kallen?what's make you think kallen won't want to escape?
Schabrak
July 08, 2008, 12:10 PM
I thought you meant Nunnaly.^^ But Kallen would never work for the Britains even if it's Nunnaly... she is a member of the Black Knights... there is a higher chance for her to become Charles successor than working for the Britain goverment by her own will. The only possible way is by brain washing again.
Hm.. now that Lulu can use Orangi. :D He could, by chance, free some of the brainwashed nobel people of Charles and gain their favour.

July 08, 2008, 01:39 PM
Well, if it became that way,i feel bad for Nunnaly's sake.she was used like thou in the past and then she'll gonna be used again by the emperor..remember that the emperor wont mind using his own children as pawns?
well,i far see an awsome combo of Lulu and Orange-kun.^^
One with the power of the King and the other with Geass canceler..totally bad ass..=P

The geass canceller. While I suppose the existence of such a thing was to be expected, I can only view it like I view the Death Eraser.
bittman
July 08, 2008, 07:07 PM
And since we know C.C talks to Marianne and Charles talks to Clovis, Death Eraser probably exists.
Yay, death became pointless! (ok it probably doesn't since that would make Code Geass 10000% unrealistic compared to the 75% it has at the moment)

while she may be the most loyal member of the black knights, she's also the only one among all of zero's subordinates that knows who nunnally is. if she were offered the position, she'd certainly have to bite her tongue, but i don't think she'd refuse. i'm also under the impression that as governor-general, the only two people close to nunnally that she can trust are suzaku and kallen. of course, it would be another very difficult position for zero/lelouch to be in. also, given rolo's actions in this last ep, it would definitely be a good thing if kallen became nunnally's knight.

Well we did need the emotional crying Lulu. :p no living Shirley, no "live" order, no lovely emotional scene.^^
It's a good thing, that it will end with the second season, because it will be action non stop from that moment. Fanservice episodes are good, but thay can also be included as specials in to DVDs like they did in the first season.

And lol @ Suzaku the traitor rant in general. I'd rather Suzaku become knight of the one than see Lelouch as Emporer of the universe.
Oh, and going back a bit, Kallen as Nunally's knight is a no. She would have to be flying the Guren with an atomic bomb strapped to it for it to be believable. Why would the enemy say "Sure, you're on our most wanted list, but we'll give you your unstoppable mech back because you are on first name basis with the 90th in line (48th I think actually) to the throne." ? It would only work with brainwashing, which means it wouldn't work because Lelouch has the Geass and Orange-kun which makes brainwashing a thing of yester-year.
And after thinking about Shirley's death...seemed kind of pointless actually. People were saying "well it was needed", but truth be told what has it done? Made Lelouch emo? He already was. If his Geass had powered up (or Shirley had slept with Lelouch) I would have been a little happier at least. I mean, it wasn't even mutual love, just love and like relationship.
Guess we'll see how this goes...

remember that comment v.v. made about the emp's actions towards nunnally coming back and biting him in the ass? nunn's proven to be quite unpredictable when it comes to governing the japanese, unless you consider imitating euphemia predictable. following that vein, it would be a huge sign of reconciliation for her to name kallen as her knight. like i said before, kallen wouldn't refuse. it's not like the emp can do anything to counter that move. nunn's position as governor-general is designed to force a stalemate between himself and lelouch. neither of them can make a substantial move in japan without risking the full wrath of the other.

I’m not saying either part is right. I just find stupid that you would side with the country that invaded your country, enslaved you, took your name away, was killing everybody in the lower side like cockroaches. I just want to be peaceful and change the system from inside. This from the guy even killed his own father to prevent bloodshed but then turn around and becomes the enemies champion and kills all around the world for that countries selfish needs. Does the word dumbass comes to mind. His case sounds like a V8 commercial.
On lelouch he has bloody hands to, but can you blame him? His doing it for revenge. His doing what Suzaku should had be doing, helping his country out. But I guess in Suzaku’s mind his helping his countrymen by preaching the idea that if your enemy is stronger than you have to roll over and take it up the tail pipe!!!

We learned a bit about Shinkirou's weapons, it seems like it has hadrons cannons on its arms.
We got to see Charles and Marianne young, V.V. almost dead, a cruel Lelouch trying to kill his brother and hardcorely bad Suzaku who's going to drug Kallen.
But the best is still the end, the next episode is gonna be the best so far.

Great episode.
Didn't expect Suzaku to do that to Kallen, especially when his reasons for doing so are baseless (he doesn't know who Zero is). But, as he said, any method is all good now.
I'm really curious about the relationship between C.C, V.V., Charles, and Marianne. Why does V.V. hate Marianne so much?
It seems like Lelouch is losing control of his organization. I can see everything falling apart soon.
I wonder what'll happen to Kallen...? :(

we'll get that explanation, but charles won't be lasting long after. i think the flashback scene combined with v.v.'s "lies" were supposed to mark the end of his reign. plus the whole time of atonement thing (charles has a hell of a lot more to atone for than lelouch). schneizel still needs to start his civil war and use nina's device, and i don't see charles being a major figure in that.

1) Charles has always been seen as the final boss, but to me Schniezel would put up a more epic battle. That said, Charles won't fall next episode since that would make the Britannian side just Schniezel and a few knights which would be ok, but not epic enough.
2) I would say that Marriane was contracted to C.C and Charles was contracted to V.V in a sort of equals attract scenario. That said, we got a hell of a lot of Marriane this episode. In fact, the 10 seconds in this ep probably equates to the total amount she had before. Please be in the next ep Marianne~
Oh and did anyone note the lacklustre ending? One scene? Must be an episode that is so full of spoilers people could explode thinking about it.
EDIT: Oh yeah....the homo brother still lives. Clamp have done well in making us hate him as he slaughtered even more nobodies. Whatever death I wanted for the Eunuchs won't compare to that kid.

@bittman
ever since that chess match, i've seen schneizel as the final boss. since the emp set the whole thing into motion, i believe his own death is part of his master plan. even if he dies, he could live on through v.v., like marianne has through c.c. besides, why would they keep presenting these seemingly minor developments in schneizel's camp if he wasn't going to make some massive changes to the composition of britannia.
bittman
July 13, 2008, 11:54 PM
I never said I didn't see Schniezel as a major boss, in fact I think it's Schniezel v Lelouch that will be a major part of the final double episode battle (assuming we get another double final). That said, in both of their battles so far, they have both referenced the Emporer and queried what exactly he would have done.
With that in mind, Schniezel and Lelouch have similiar battle styles which focus around the strength of morale and tactical maneuvers. The Emporer has been alluded to make a more ruthless charge without care for what is beneath him. With this philosophy in mind, the Emporer would be the better final villain, though Schniezel would be the better large scale military battle.
EDIT: To further clarify, when the final United States of whatever vs Britannia comes about, I expect the sides to be led by Lelouch and Schniezel respectively while the Emporer stands at the goal with maybe a few powers at his disposal (Geass / V.V / Knight of the One)

Probably just like what Rolo did to Shirley for Lelouch's sake, only for different reasonings.
I also wouldn't be surprise if this "killing Gods" thingy that Charles wants to do, has the same reason as Lelouch wanting revenge on Charles. well, I hope not since that would be too predictable :XD

So suzaku is gonna use refrain to brainwash kallen. Well figures is the closest thing to a geass he can use. I really hope lelouch gets her back!!! Suzaku doesn't need anymore people at his side. Bastard!!
I must say that i'm a little conflicted with rolo at this point. I'm pissed that he killed shirley, but at the same time his doing everything to please his brother, lelouch. His like a little cute dog that keeps shitting in the carpet while you are training him to do it outside.
I'm also questioning if the emperor actually sent the kill order for mariana. i'm starting to think that it was V.V. The same way she/he (I really don't know WTF it is) sent the kill order for Lelouch. Its probably the reason why the emperor said V.V. lied to him. But I guess we are gonna have to wait and see.
Things are really picking up pace and moving fast. I'm surprised how fast lelouch took over the geass cult. I though that place would have been well protect it, put up a descent fight. Instead it was decimated in one swoop.
I also find curious that the writers used V.V. to establish a similarity between charles and lelouch in this chapter. Probably cuz Charles did the same thing with britannia?
I'm wondering what villeta is planning to do?

It was normal that there wasn't any resistance at the Geass Cult base, it has been hidden for centuries and the place where it is often change, moreover unless you get someone who's already been there it is almost impossible to find it.
Fortunately Lelouch had Jeremiah and Rolo, that's why he was able to trace it and take it down in no time.
C.C. also said it was not armed at all and only inhabited by researchers focused on the powers of the Geass.
V.V. is a he, Charles calls him Nii-san.

looking back on this episode, suzaku is a freaking moron. i've been trying to figure out a plausible reason for his actions and have decided that he wants to put lelouch on trial the moment he returns to japan (or at least expose his identity to the masses. heh, that may even backfire). that being said, it seems incredibly unnecessary, even for the hypocritical justice freak named suzaku. first, if he's willing to drug kallen and noticed that lelouch didn't attend shirley's funeral, then he already knows the truth (or at least is willing to fabricate a truth that fits his desires. hmm, sounds like the emp, and lelouch for that matter). this means that he should be able to act without drugging a pow. second, he must know that kallen's testimony would never hold up and is an affront to those values he ignorantly spouts every five seconds. "btw, in order to get the witness to say these things about this villain, i had to give her drugs. i was completely justified in effecting this coerced testimony because i have faith that lelouch is evil. XD." third, he must know that no justice system would be able to punish lelouch, given his geass, his genius, and the external threats that would be made by the black knights. this means suzaku's being a complete hypocrite again. if this is what he intends to do with the info, it isn't a matter of justice. in reality, it will be another "boo hoo hoo, lelouch killed euphy" moment. his goal will be to isolate lelouch from ashford and nunnally, and this represents a personal attack, not a necessary evil for the sake of peace. i wish he'd just realize that if he's really gonna do anything to stop lelouch, he needs to learn to take some responsibility and just kill him, and subsequently himself (that is, if he still wants to make any appeals to justice. of course, he wouldn't be able to do that thanks to the latent order. bwa ha ha, infinite guilt for suzaku). how did this guy become more of a child the older he got?
also, how negative are the effects that refrain has on piloting skills? could knock kallen out of the fight for the rest of the series (i can't imagine junkies making dependable pilots).

Whiping out everyone in the cult...
Drugging some for result that helps noone...(I really hope this doesn't happen its too awful)
These two have turned seriously evil in the second season.
Also Nina needs to stop existing.

meh, didn't really have a problem with them massacring the cult. in my mind, the only thing wrong with it was that it will start a trend of disillusionment in his soldiers. if he had been more honest with them about how much of a threat the cult was, they probably wouldn't have had as much of a problem with it. besides, the emp probably would have destroyed the cult himself at some point.

Am I the only one who noticed this
http://ryus3ns3i.free.fr/cgmask.jpg
in both the opening and the last episode?
It seems to be related to the Geass -was shown right after all the girls with the same sign as C.C. on their head in the last episode- and the Sword of Akasha -same clouds and strange mask-.
Schabrak
July 15, 2008, 06:30 AM
It could be the mask of god?XD But is the whole planet jupiter god, or are the immortals just living there? Even if Charles and V.V. are brothers... , to them it must be just something like a pact. 3/4 of Code Geass have been shown and we do have not nearly a real clue to what immortal witches or god are.

I felt bad when he was wiping out the cult...then i saw that kid's geass and realized they must be stopped.
C.C mentioned something about hers and Lelouche's wish, perhaps this was the wish she had in the first episode?

Woah, what an epic episode 14. Loved it to death.. Lulu is quite a good actor to put up that smile on his face when seeing Rolo who just confessed that he has killed Shirley. Aw, I feel so sorry for Lulu that his plan did not work out in the end. I was so looking forward to see Rolo dying in this episode, he was at the edge of it! Cornelia's and Lulu's (combined) attack was awesome. And the end of the episode was epic. Lulu vs the Emperor. Can't wait for this week's episode. By the way, Suzaku has become quite cruel during R2. Willing to use Refrain to get Kallen to tell him Zero's true identity. -.-

Here are some information and spoilers concerning the next episodes which I have found at the CG community. Thanks to Koshimizu (as always).
General info:
Progress report by the story originator and main writer, Ichirō Ōkouchi.
I've finished the script for Code Geass! Finished!
It's not "to be continued", nor "end of this season". It's over, finished, the end.
Starting from the planning of this anime, it's been 5 full years. Although I've been having plenty of jobs, this has been the longest one for me.
My computer fell silent when I was writing the last episode. I had to try to recover it while making the final check on the last episode. It's quite a handfull.
But the work in studio isn't done yet. And my job isn't completely finished either.
Laughter or tears, the ending is only 4 months away. As for the production staff, who will see the ending in a few weeks, I wish for them to join me in the joy of seeing the end of Code Geass soon.
It's also mentioned in the DVD introduction page. Ōkouchi said "now I can chat in leisure since I've already finished the script."

From The Television Weekly
During the battle with the Cult, Lelouch is sent to the mysterious place with Jupiter overhead. There stood the father who had abandoned them- Britannia Emperor. Is it time for conclusion for this destined father and son confrontation?
In response to Lelouch's questioning about the truth of Marianne's death, the Emperor plays innocent and replys, "use your own geass to find out".
His opponent is no other person than the most powerful emperor in history. Lelouch, regardless of the appearance, challenges an erasure.

Okay, as expected, epic episode and I loooooooooooooooooooooooved the insert song they played during the middle of the episode in this cogwheel-room. Yet, at the same time, it was quite a scary episode, especially in the beginning. Lulu had a nice idea up his sleeve but then... the Emperor is immortal O_o.
How shall he kill him then? Arghs.
And we got to know C.C.'s former Geass power. Quite a strange one if you ask me. The power to be loved. And now, she just contracted with Lulu because she wanted to die which is her true wish since she can't die after the power of the nun had been transferred to her. I almost screamed, no, I indeed screamed, when I saw the Emperor bending over C.C. as if he wanted to kiss her. Blek~~~
I am glad that Lulu was there to disturb this "the-Emperor-will-kill-me-now-but-it-looks-as-if-he-wanna-kiss-me"-scene. Unfortunately, C.C. has lost her memories and well, she seems to act kind of clumsy as of now. >_>
But glad to see that Suzaku's finally certain that Lulu is Zero.
And Schneizel appeared again and through Nina-baka's success, he's become more stronger now. Beware, Lulu.
RyuSensei
July 20, 2008, 08:18 AM
Indeed epic episode, the Emperor has now V.V. power, he can't be geassed and is immortal that's kinda dreadful, however I really liked how Lulu used all the mirror system to try and geass him, as expected of him it was really well thought.
Like you said we got to see C.C. past and it's pretty weird uh, I'm so waiting for the next episode, C.C. seems soooo clumsy when she try to get off her clothes, moreover it might just be me but I didn't spot the Geass mark on her forehead >.<, did it transfer to Lelouch?! or did she lose her?
We also get to see Lelouch telling the truth to Cornelia and another Knight of the Round near Kallen in the next episode.
Way too epic.

Now it's confirmed: C.C. lost her power so now she's a memoryless mortal.
As for Lelouch Geass it's still a bit confusing :/, since we didn't see him put his special contact back it's whether he lost his Geass due to his contracter losing her power or he just get back the same way he transfered to the Sword of Akasha, with his contact on, that'd be the best for him o.o.

i have a big question
are these spoils true?
Lelouch, who tries to return to humanity from his path as a warlock, loses his precious things because of it.
1. "Lover": Shirely
2. Partner: C.C.
3. Sister: Nunnally
4. "Rag": Rolo
5. Believer: Diethard
6. Organization: OoBK
7. Friend: Suzaku
8. Identity: Zero
Cornelia is captured at the Geass Cult by lelouch, but escapes to Schneizel.
~First half has occured.
Union of Nations is made up of Chinese Federation and leftover of EU.
~Occured
Suzaku gets to know that Lelouch got his memories back. He confrontws Lelouch, and when Lelocuh confesses that he is the reborn Zero, Schneizel, who had someone follow Suzaku, sends in forces to arrest Lelouch.
~Part one confirmed, part about meeting confirmed as well.
The talk between Lelouch and Suzaku is released, and the OoBK feels betrayed by Lelouch's confession of his Geass powers.
Believing Suzaku had tricked him, Lelouch decides to go the path of the warlock.
Nina had put her nuke on Lancelot, thinking it as a "stronger" bomb. When Suzaku uses it during his fight with Lelouch, Tokyo gets blown up. Nunnally's survival is unknown.
~Nuke exists, we know that much.
Charles activates the Geass Ruins to bring forth Ragnok.
Karen, who had escaped, nearly joins the other OoBK. However, a sentence from Lelouch makes her believe in him again.
~Spoiler in question about Kallen's fate that's being discussed.
Rolo's Geass has a big weakness: It puts a strain on his heart. Rolo, trying to save Lelouch, uses his Geass too much and dies.
~The weakness is confirmed.
Schneizel, who had been collecting info on the Geass, plots against Charles.
C.C. loses her memories and becomes a normal girl (effect of Charles' doing?)
~Confirmed]

ugh, that had to be the worst episode we've been exposed to:
"har har, i outsmarted the emp. oh wait, crappy plot device made him immortal. oh wait, i also got my geass off on him. the writer must be smoking crack cause whatever just happened is a complete contradiction. then, the emp makes fun of me for using tricks. five seconds later, he uses tricks on me. for some reason, throughout my entire trial, i was still in the cockpit of my knightmare." the emp is just a little bitch and a very poorly written character.
and that geass is gone. looks like lelouch is gonna have to stop lying and start acting like an idealist revolutionary if he wants any results.
i guess it wasn't all bad. at least we finally got some more info on c.c., schneizel's ready to start a coup, and nu might finally join up without any pesky guilt. even so, i think the scenes with the emp were very poorly executed.
p.s. that scene in the preview with cornelia was totally orange-kun's idea. and w00t, time for a new knight of the round.

Well, he could have become immortal when C.C. still had her great Geass powers given to her by the nun. But I somehow think that she lost this power because the mark on her forehead is gone. :/
So I doubt that Lulu can become immortal unless C.C. gets her memories and thus, her powers back. Yet, I wonder if C.C. would really transfer her immortality to Lulu. I mean, she wants to die but she also knows the pain of living forever...
I never expected that she wanted to die.

no because she has no more geass, she had just immortality power
the geass power ended when she became immortal(like charles)

As if to pierce through this confusion, a Britannia special envoy visits the Ikaruga. Who may this person be?
Turn 20 - Emperor Assassination 「皇帝 暗殺」
Lelouch got out of a tight fix because of Rolo. However, there is only one road that he should already tread... Is the world facing a new phase?
So, from the spoilers we had earlier....
☆Lelouch, who tries to return to humanity from his path as a demon king, loses his precious things because of it.
1. "Lover": Shirely -> confirmed
2. Partner: C.C. -> confirmed
3. Sister: Nunnally -> very likely
4. "Rag": Rolo -> very likely
5. Believer: Diethard -> very likely
6. Organization: OoBK -> very likely
7. Friend: Suzaku -> well, somehow... confirmed, right?
8. Identity: Zero -> confirmed
☆ Cornelia is captured at the Geass Cult by lelouch, but escapes to Schneizel. -> first part confirmed
☆ Ougi meets up with Viletta during the Union of Nations's takeback of Japan, and begins to doubt Zero.
☆ Before Ougi betrays the Order, Diethard takes Viletta hostage and threatens Ougi to continue his job as a vice commandor. This is because Ougi is able to hold all these members of different characteristics together.
☆ The Union of Nations is made up of Chinese Federation and the remains of EU. The commandor is Xingke. -> first part confirmed
☆ In sasongugomu (no idea what this is), Asahina died in the nuke attack. His last words become the keywords that made the OotBK's betray Zero. -> nuke attack confirmed
☆ The Knights find out that Zero was a Britannian prince and think he was using them as playthings. Ougi leads the mutiny to kill Zero.
☆ C.C. loses her memory as C.C., and becomes an ordinary girl. -> confirmed
☆ Suzaku gets to know that Lelouch got his memories back. He confronts Lelouch, and when Lelocuh confesses that he is the reborn Zero, Schneizel, who had someone follow Suzaku, sends in forces to arrest Lelouch. -> confirmed!
☆ The contents of Lelouch and Suzaku's conversation are recorded, including his Geass that can command people. This becomes an important factor that led to the OotBK's betrayal. -> first part confirmed
☆ Believing Suzaku had tricked him, Lelouch decides to go the path of the demon king. -> very likely
☆ Nina had put her nuke on Lancelot, thinking it as a "stronger" bomb. When Suzaku uses it during his fight with Lelouch, it blew up Tokyo, killing nearly 10 million people. -> confirmed
☆ Nunnally's survival is unknown. Ashford, being in the outskirts of Tokyo, remains intact. -> confirmed
☆ The emperor wants to connect ruins in all parts of the world to Ragnarok, to destroy the old world and create a new world.
☆ Kallen escapes in the new Guren. In the end she weren't able to stop Lelouch and Suzaku's quarrel. Kallen stands in the crossroads of selection, can't decide whether to betray Zero with all other Black Knights or not. A lie from Lelouch hurts her feelings and she decides to leave him. However, when she's thinking about leaving, Lelouch's last line becomes the key to express his true feelings to Kallen. -> Kallen's escape with the Guren confirmed
☆ The weakness of Rolo's geass is, it strains his heart. When all of the Black Knights betrayed, he is the only one striving to lead Lelouch to the Shinkirou. Britannia army and OotBK joined hands in the pursue. To stop them, Rolo overuses his geass and dies. -> confirmed, death is very likely (A/N: Yeaho)
☆ Guilford ends up taking Orange's path.
☆ Schneizel, who had been collecting info on the Geass, plots against Charles.
☆ The OotBK requests the emperor to liberate Japan in return for turning over Lelouch.
☆ Diethard forsakes Lelouch too ("your broadcast ends here"). Tamaki also betrayed. The only one that's not betraying is Kallen. -> very likely
☆ Ougi betrays Zero twice. First time it's right after meeting Viletta, but Diethard stops hime. The second time is after Schenizel exposing Lelouch's identity, and even Diethard is in doubt, so there's no one to stop him.
☆ Lelouch feels responsible for C.C.'s losing memories. He wears a ring on the ring finger of C.C.'s left hand, and say, "please stay with me". C.C. calls him master (or husband? not sure) and does not leave him.
☆ The reborn Jeremiah joins Lelouch with a godly mech. And becomes his personal guard. -> very likely, his loyalty to Marianne is very strong
Mech
☆ Gareth: the prototype for Gawain's mass production. (Like Vincent to Lancelot.) Without Rakshata's technology, the hydron cannon can't function, and is replaced by hydron machine gun. Has slash harkens in the form of magic hands. The origin of its name is one of Gawain's younger brothers. Also has rabbit ears. The survivals of the Galston Knights will be riding these.
☆ Percival: Knight of Ten's KMF. Hadron machine gun and drill.
☆ Galahad: Knight of One's KMF. Twice the size of a regular KMF, uses a large sword (Excalibur) which is said to be the most powerful in both defense and offense.
☆ Freya (should be Prayer): Nina's nukes. A few prototypes are made; Lancelot is equipped with one.
☆ Great Britannia: Wakamoto's new flying ship. Made based on Avalon.
☆ Guren with long name: Lloyd modified the captured Guren Aerial Form into this, with his original technology. Combining the intelligence of Rakshata and Lloyd, this is the most powerful KMF in history. It's totally different from previous Gurans. Lloyd's weird is all over it.
☆ Sutherland Sieg: Enhanced and modified from the Knight Giga Fortress- Siegfried. Feels like the Dendrobium in Gundam 0083 tardust Memory, with powerful weapons hidden inside. It's even larger than Galahad. The pilot is new Jeremiah. The color of its booster is also orange, like Siegfried. Maybe it's this one: ttp://i-bbs.sijex.net/imageDisp.jsp?id=geass&file=1215455233272o.png

He wasn't inside the Knightmare the whole time. He just got transported back there. The Emperors clothes are still bloody from when he shot himself. If it was all just an illusion I don't see a reason why he would really shoot himself.

And C.Two. looks really cute. It looks like she's reading a comic book about witches?
Yuki no mahoutsukai. The snow witch?
I guess Lelouch gave her that book since he once said that he finds white snow to be beautiful in reference to her forgetting her real name or who she once was.

NYAAAAAAAa, C.C. IS TOO CUTE IT SHOULD BE A CRIME TO BE THAT KAWAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII :wtf
Anyway, good episode as usual, we got to see a new Knight of the Round, the Knightmare frame of Bismarck, C.C. supercuteness, Toudou almost embarassed and also anxious about how Zero was "afraid" of the Emperor's message.
Schwindelmagier
July 27, 2008, 07:37 AM
Ah, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....
EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This episode was so awesome and I somehow like C.C.'s slave-like act. The scene where Zero got angry and shouted that C.C. shall shut up, pushing her to the floor was great. Although I doubt that so many blood can spill out of such a small scar on the finger. But the symbolic meaning of the blood dripping down the black king of the chess board was great. Very well done, Sunrise.
I was like "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah - wtf O_O" when the Emperor suddenly appeared on the screen and seemingly I was not the only one. I was as shocked as Lulu and Schneizel to say the least. Amazing turn of events. Can't wait for the next episode. Lulu has to meet Suzaku so that they can wrap up the deal. Suzaku will protect Nunnally (because Lulu called Suzaku to protect her at all costs and then revealed his identity as Zero to Suzaku) but Lulu has to meet Suzaku for this.
........................ Ah, can't wait! :fangirl
By the way, watching Kallen beating up Suzaku like this was really funny. :D
RyuSensei
July 27, 2008, 07:42 AM
C.C. slave act was awesome, she even let some pizza for Lulu's breakfast since he didn't have one and then like "It's for you goshujin sama" and then Lulu pushed her away, and then she was like "Don't hit me pweaaaaaaase" nyaaaaa~
I might have fallen for slaveC.C. :wtf

Aw, I just noticed it because I was looking at some screenshots but Lulu is really crying when begging Suzaku to protect and save his sister. *cuddles and hugs*

The Knight of Ten is really scary. He's quite mouthy in front of the Knight of Seven and Knight of Three. D:
But I love his hair. I assume he's quite a fearless opponent who loves to smash antagonistic KMFs to pieces.
Kallen should have beaten him up, too.

well, now i'm positive anya is lelouch's sister. here comes my prediction of the most f'ed up plot twist we'll be seeing in geass. before the assassination attempt, anya was the real nunn. the emp replaced her and lelouch's memories and put a false nunn in place just before things went to hell (he probably had some incredibly bizarre deal going with marianne with regard to the future of her children). this false nunn ended up being paralyzed and blinded during the assassination. what does this mean? this means that lelouch will be protecting someone who is essentially a stranger and attacking his real sister. well, the emp really is a fracking douche. then the real question is whether or not suzaku will figure it out, assuming he agrees to defend lelouch's sister.
oh, and these borders are weird. why is england a part of the eu? and bismark is definitely an anomaly. from what i can tell, britannia doesn't have any of the territories heavily influenced by germany under its control. also, waldstein is a noble family from areas within the czech republic.

with this spoil,it is th end of code geass
but it might be false cause only the half is confirmed....
Episode 21 => Karen fights against Gino (Knight of Three), who loses and becomes captive of the zone 11.
Ania and Mordread are stolen, Knight of 6
Suzaku is fighting against the Knight of 1 (Knight called his "Calahan" and it uses a huge sword named "Excalibur") and is massacred, and is saved by Xingke
Zero loses Ogi (traiter) and Todo (he loses, it is not known if he died or not)
Episode 22 => Lelouch will go to the Chinese federation and meets Suzaku.
This is the 30th anniversary of the emperor, Schneizel launches a challenge to get the throne and foments a rebellion against the emperor.

Launch of the final battle between Lelouch, and Schneizel and super United States (they are 3, it is a beautiful shit).
Episode 24 => Lelouch reaches the level of Schneizel through a good strategy. It Pine Schneizel.
The Knight of 12 is killed by Jeremiah who Kamikaze.
The knight of 1 will kill the super-USA alone. (mwahahahah) :p
Lelouch saves Suzaku which darkens on the basis enemy hoping to be killed because he can not directly commit suicide.
Episode 25 => The Sword of Akasha draws on the Avalon, many Knights are destroyed.
Lelouch climbed the march a "temple" taking CC by the hand.
Episode 26 => VV and the emperor wanted to destroy the world and recreate.
"Lelouch force the emperor to survive his contract, and transform the world in a Better World"
(I do not understand here ...)
[u] Spoils varied: [/ u]
=> Nina has equipped a bomb Type Freyja on various Kinghtmare, including Lancelot of Suzaku.
In his fight against Lelouch, Suzaku will swing the bomb Freyja in Tokyo and kill 20 million people by mistake.
Unable to commit suicide and could not bear such a crime, it is slowly sinking into madness.
=> Marianne, Lelouch's mother, was a research scientist about Geass.
Nanally not Lelouch's sister, she is the sister of Rollo.
The real sister Lelouch is Ania, the daughter completely crazy that the pilot Mordread, the Knight of Six, which takes still photos.
That is why it has photos of small Lelouch on his newspaper.
Marianne adopted Nanally following a failed experiment on Geass
Nanally can walk, she can see, and she has a Geass, it's just the "spell" of the emperor who paralyses.
There has never been an attack against Marianne.
The cerceuil's mother Lelouch is empty and Lelouch's mother, Marianne, is still alive.
It is the emperor who has manipulated the memories of everyone.
=> Ogi, for love for Viletta will betray Lelouch.
Diethard will kidnap Viletta to force Ogi to continue with the black knight.
=> A taped conversation between Suzaku and Lelouch will be distributed among Black Knights.
The Black Knights will not be very happy.
=> The whole world will learn the true identity of Zero.
This will not please the Order of the Knights blacks, who, believing they have the Union of Nations, no longer need to Lelouch.
=> Ogi will betray Lelouch, Diethard too.
Ogi will conduct a Rebellion and will return the order of knights against black Lelouch.
It will negotiate independence from Japan in exchange Lelouch.
=> Rollo, learning that his sister is Nanally will want to go save her.
To do so, he will freeze a whole district of Tokyo.
As his heart idling + + depending on the number and the time it freezes people, he will die.
=> Anyone who reaches a level high enough Geass becomes able to withdraw its Code Geass an immortal, and thus kill him. (Charles kills VV)
Any immortal is capable of doing the same, and kill another immortal.
(Charles immortal withdrew its code CC)
Anyone with a geass who reached the top level becomes immortal.
The level of the highest Geass is immortality.
=> CC no longer immortal, Charles has withdrawn its code.
she will remain the stupid slave girl she is in the end of the episode 15, with the knowledge they had as a child, her memory are those of a girl at the time of major pests black, circa 1450 AD
(CC to 700 years)
=> CC knew Marianne when she was chairwoman of worship(chef of the cult), 21 years ago, VV was her disciple, and all laughed cheerfully in the villa aries where Lelouch grew up.
=> Lelouch will, following its Handsets, lose confidence and be abandoned (by abandonment or death) by the following figures:
-- Ogi (betray 2 times)
-- Diethard
-- Shirley (already dead, but the site dated)
-- Nannally
-- Rollo
-- black knight
-- Zero => his identity be revealed to the world, it does not hide more
=> Cornelia who was captured, will escape with Schneizel.
Schneizel order to suzaku to go kill Lelouch.
=> Once the passage is quite vague:
Lelouch will take the path of "Demon King", the demon king
=> Take with tweezers:
The human being has apparently colonized the planet Jupiter before returning to the age of Pierre following a war
The planet we see behind the girls who all have a Code Geass is indeed Jupiter.
This world is called "The Old World of Ragnarok."
The Codes are Geass connections with the world.
=> The Emperor will try to connect all the sanctuaries of Geass them, which are actually remnants of the world of Ragnarok, and connect to the Sword of Akasha
all this in order to "destroy the old world and create a new"
=> After the bomb dropped on tokyo, Lelouch and Nanally wines are dead.
Lelouch joins Cornelia to destroy any trace of Geass the surface of the Earth.
Lelouch destroy his left eye to destroy its Geass.
(I remind you when the apocalypse, the Antichrist is blind ...)
=> Karen doubt Lelouch, she does not betrayed but takes her distances with him, because he admits he is responsible for the death of Shirley, even if it is not true, he is plagued by guilt.
=> Once Zero death, Lelouch will have in his entourage following people for help:
-- CC, Cornelia, Guilford, Jeremiah, Sayako, and Villetta (which will fight against Ogi therefore)
=> Jeremiah / Orange-kun will become the custodial staff Lelouch
and return with a "divine Knightmare"
=> Guilford Knghtmare steals a Knight of round(knightmare!) and joined Cornelia.
=> Lelouch wife CC (they say "he puts the ring on his finger") and makes happy (SEX SEX SEX ???!!!)
=> A new vessel named Wakamoto is built on the model of Avalon.
=> Karen get a new Guren worse
=> Schneizel leads long research on Geass.
he HAS HIMSELF A GEASS.
Schneizel began the conquest of the world, he is the true villain of history.

Well, right now I'm more concerned about whether Suzaku will or not betray Lelouch. The preview just gave some scenes of Lelouch (and Suzaku) in front of the shrine entrance and talking, as well as some Gundam Knightmare Frames jumping around here and there. Oh, and if you connect this episode with the part of "Suzaku and Lelouch's conversation will be leaked" spoiler (noncommittal about the truth - just assuming so), then it'll somehow make sense.
Graarwh, I just hope Lelouch won't commit suicide at the end of this series... He's lost too many of his possessions lately. *sobs*

C.C. is his slave right now, she thinks that he's her master, not her husband or boyfriend.
And if all the spoilers are correct and Lelouch has been fooled by the Emperor for years and actually really loses everything, he'd prefer dieing over living for nothing, moreover it would be better for us to see him have an epic death than wander alone in the world.

i had heard of albrecht in a history class (czech history is one of my concentrations for my major) so i figured there was a line.
don't know any weinbergs but i do know of a gottwald. gottwald was president of czechoslovakia after benes and was a real douche (stalinist).
the emigration of the waldstein family would make sense since they were interested in repelling napoleon. however, given the fact that they'd be trading one oppressive empire for another, i can't really explain why any other czech family would emigrate.
i just read the wiki for the history of britannia and it seems incredibly shortsighted. a roman failure during the gallic wars would have had massive repercussions on european history. instead, the only things that are different are that the american colonies failed to gain independence and napoleon won his war.

There were many migrations from middle europe to east europe from before the nationalsozialism, so it's no wonder, that there were many "germanish" Family names there back than. As an example. My grandfather or his family "migrated"(don't know if it was forced...) from niderlande to ukraine in the 19th century or in the beginning of the 20th century. And his name was Gottlieb.^^

The suspense is killing me.....
They want suzaku to carry that BFG on his knightmare. Which can do a lot of damage. I hope he doesn't blow up japan and nunnally with it by mistake.
kaliayev
July 31, 2008, 04:29 PM
i hope he does blow up japan. he'll finally actually be doing something similar to what he did with his paps. plus, i really want him to try to kill himself (almost all of my latent order predictions involve a suicide attempt that will fail) and since he wasn't the one who killed shirley, that would be the next best guilt trip. i also want nina to have a breakdown and realize that she's a complete bitch. "oooh, i'm gonna create the atom bomb in memory of my imaginary relationship with an idealist princess." since they're both heavily related to euphy, it would be a wonderful tragedy.
bittman
July 31, 2008, 08:42 PM
Since Suzaku is the secondary main protagonist, I think it's pretty obvious that Britannia have made a mistake in giving him the BFG. Even if this is the guy who has the least conviction in the entire series, he's a main character (now) with the ultimate weapon meaning it will be used to destroy something indestructible...*coughCharlescough* and, in true winning style, probably with Lelouch and Suzaku pulling the trigger while holding hands in a strictly heterosexual way.
kiomi
August 01, 2008, 03:53 AM
it is true that he is the second main protagonist but i dont think he has the ultimate weapon
i think that guren will be stronger or jeremia' s new siegfried
Schwindelmagier
August 01, 2008, 04:11 AM
Indeed, Guren is now the strongest KMF in Code Geass thanks to Lloyd. Yet, the bomb the Lanceot owns is as strong enough as to erase around 10.000 people from the surface of Tokyo. Ashford Academy barely survives and the survival of Nunnally is unknown.

Suzaku, you goddamn bastard! How dare you step on my Lulu's head like that!!! *kicks Suzaku in the stomach + Kallen-punch* And then, you're so contradictory, you offer him your help. Schneizel's interference was awesome, the spoiler were indeed true. Yet, seeing Lulu almost crying twice in this one episode was heart-breaking. Luckily, my Lulu is smart and took precaution. And his Gefjun Net-train came in use, too. The Knight of One is quite a scary opponent. Bismarck's Excalibur is quite powerful, he even could dodge Xing-Ke's attack as if it was nothing. Watching the Gino-Kallen-interaction was really cute. They would be such a great couple. ^__^
Now, Lelouch takes the path of a warlock.

In general:
* Suzaku v Lelouch exceeded my expectations, but in doing so made both of them seem inhuman. Their reactions were completely illogical and nothing like how people should really react, Suzaku moreso than Lelouch.
* Schniezel (and even Kanon) is getting badass. I can't see how Area 11 will be taken back with that sort of confidence.
* Luciano's 1 minute of screentime was enough to make up for the lack of mech battles lately. Galahad's debut was ok also, but really all it did was go "Look at me, I have a bigger sword".
* What ever happened to the western front? Considering they looked on the verge of destruction when Xing ke halted the ship, they seemed to last pretty well many hours later.
And quick predictions:
* Luciano dies
* Suzaku doesn't use Freya in this battle, though doing so would have ensured some sort of victory
* Tokyo takeover succeeds (small part of the city only) or fails, but they don't retreat far.
* Gino and Kallen have xxx scene (sorry, just haven't seen Kallen in little clothing for a while, so any reason will be accepted)

i didn't think their reactions to one another were that unrealistic. which part did you find hard to believe?
bismark's knightmare is ridiculous. they need to stop introducing these all powerful britannian knightmares that have been around for ages and are powerful enough to easily win any war.
did anyone get the impression that the little scene with c.c. meant that she was putting on a show?
prediction:
bismark's knightmare will be outclassed in two episodes cause that's how technological advances work in this anime.

@schwindel
i think he probably told him about the emp too. turning everyone against these grotesque creatures that manipulate history through unnatural means would be a great card to play. it would establish him as the only powerful and honest "human" leader and garner him a great deal of support, or at least wipe out a few enemies. plus, he does have that nuke. if he forced suzaku into a position whereby his latent order would cause him to nuke tokyo, he could spin it against lelouch. "i had no intention of nuking tokyo. it was a negotiating piece that i wasn't going to use. however, [insert long explanation of geass] zero forced suzaku to use the nuke on the city." zero's mask of justice crumbles before he can even try to take suzaku's advice.

I thought the C.C thing meant one of two things
"Aw, it's a sweet wedding ring master made for me"
OR and HOPEFULLY
"Silly Lulu, i can heal why'd yo go out of your way to give me a bandage?"
Rooting for the latter btw
bittman
August 07, 2008, 07:46 PM
Actually, C.C's smile was faintly disturbing. She looked crazy rather than genuinely happy, but maybe it was just the animation style in it.
Someone replied earlier asking why I thought the Suzaku/Lelouch chat was unrealistic, let me break it down a bit. Suzaku has always been an easy to read and understand character that the crowd feels a sense of empathy with given his light intelligence and shaking conviction. Yet here he is, chatting with his nemesis which started well with Suzaku's yells and Lelouch's denials, but then Suzaku said crap like "deceive us until the end" just because he knew Lelouch lied about one or two things. Realistically, a person would have either not have picked the lie from an expert such as Lelouch (who has never been caught lying by much more intelligent characters) or would have beaten him senseless to find out the truth rather than choosing the psychological option.
Just saying: If I was in Suzaku's shoes, I would get the truth rather than accepting lies so casually.
kaliayev
August 08, 2008, 02:51 AM
what you're talking about seemed pretty consistent with his character. suzaku's probably realized that people need someone, like lelouch, who they can call a hero. he's a guy who seeks justice and redemption. for him to tell lelouch that an appeal to these ideals would require that he actually take on the image he has created for himself seemed realistic to me. better to try to get him to reform than to force him to spiral further into his own abyss.
p.s. this episode actually made me like suzaku slightly more (enough to make me regret my prediction that his latent order will force him to nuke tokyo). even in the face of his worst enemy/best friend, he'll come to the conclusion that he should use an idealistic approach rather than seek simple retaliation. had he drugged kallen, i would agree with you about ignoring lelouch's appeals. however, since he's continued with his attempts to overcome his baser motives, it was more consistent for him to give lelouch a chance.

Cornelia is with Schneizel, Tamaki and Ougi are angry. I wonder why Siegfried has to hold the Shinkirou in between his drills/claws? Maybe Orange-kun wants to prevent Lulu from doing something stupid. O_ô
I guess Suzaku is crying but it rather looks like the laughter of a maniac.

Thanks, but you forgot to put the URL into the link. lol
Well if there ever was any doubt whether Schneizel was good or evil, I think his smile here confirmed it.

And I always suspected Rolo would want to kill Nunnally out of jealousy after how he dealt with Shirley. And even further back than that, when he lied to Lelouch about mumbling her name in his sleep, etc. I'm wondering what that'll mean for his character. If she was going to die anyway, why portray Rolo as someone Lelouch should hate? I guess it's hard to define if he really loves Lelouch, or if he just loves having a family. I also didn't know whether to blame him for these things before, or blame the circumstances of how he was raised. But this time it was obviously intentional for selfish reasons. But to blame Rolo for how he was raised by the Code Greass order is almost the same as blaming Lelouch for accidentally killing Yufie and making Suzaku kill Nunnally. In other words, while it may be true, there could be circumstances behind it. Like for example the Code Geass order never intended for someone like him to have a family. I'm not sure what to make of Rolo. In one way I don't like him, but in his devotion towards Lelouch, I'm a bit torn. I guess we'll see if his love is genuine or only selfish soon enough.
It was awesome to see Karen come back and own Suzaku to pieces though. Her new Guren reminds me of Viola's unit from Zone of Enders 2, with the halo on the back.

(Couldn't find a better picture.)
It was pretty shocking how many people died in this episode. Some of them I really didn't expect to go so soon, like Guilford and Asahina. Especially the way he said that he lost to Todo. ='( But a few moments before Suzaku started having those flashbacks, I got the same feeling I got right before we saw Yufie's eyes, and though "no..." I was hoping it wouldn't happen, but when he started having those flashbacks and about atoning, it seemed obvious what was coming. Question is how he will deal with this.

Looks like he's laughing insanely in the preview.
http://c.imagehost.org/0957/snapshot20080810235859.jpg
And especially how Lelouch will deal with this.
I hope he comes face to face with Nina, and shoots her before she can finish whatever sentence she is about to say.

I glanced over the ones someone here put in this thread a while back, but is was super vague and was really a list of battles and not the important things like whose panties we see next. Needless to say, I've already forgotten them.
Okay, now that I've watched the episode more there was one thing which made this episode: Suzaku. I mean, sure there was some Rolo, Guilford, Asahina (not main/female, so he doesn't get a monologue), Gino (who is always awesome), Anya, Kallen, Lelouch, Nina and Schniezel, but Suzaku was actually exceptionally awesome in this episode for a few reasons:
1) He continues to reach out to Zelouch
2) He understands the impacts of war and his own power
3) He was the underdog for once and actually lost
4) He is the one enemy Lelouch cannot break. In fact, Lelouch has made himself an unbeatable enemy with his simple "live" Geass command. Suzaku is an almost peerless devicer with high standing morals which most of Britannia throw on the wayside to only pay for later (thanks vampire-kun). What often holds him back is his desire to receive penance for his actions many years ago, but Lelouch has flipped this switch off in favour of self-preserverance. At the moment, if Suzaku keeps FLEIA (haha engrish) and gets Lancelot upgraded (obviously coming from the opening) I'm thinking he will continue to be the one objective that Lelouch cannot "clear".
Also, it's been a while since we haven't received any monologue in the previews. Next week must have too much character development or something spoilerfic (probably like Nunally living. As if she died. I mean, that would mean Sayako would die, but she's too ninja for some nuclear weapon.)

some spoilers have proveen to be true so....
Mostlikely next episode we shall see anya coming up as lelouch's true sister. She was brainwashed so many times by the emperor she hasn't been able to remember. The main reason why she has photos of lelouch, which it would mean that lelouch was still branwashed by the emperor cuz he doesn't remember.
Now i'm always at the edge of my seat everytime i see an episode. Cuz its just so freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

about schneizel:
that was way too predictable. seriously, lelouch is really slipping if he wasn't willing to accept that as a plausible strategy. the funny thing is that schneizel left the king out in the open again and lelouch actually took it this time. i guess lelouch needs to go back to the chess board before he tries anything stupid again.
about emp:
so this guy has known for a long time that he'd become immortal. i've decided that in order to keep himself entertained (given his comment about the emp's concerns, schneizel clearly knows what's going on) during such events, he decided to turn history into a series of greek tragedies, with everyone killing their beloved and kin. i'm still pissed off about the huge plot hole of his character. he's had his geass since he was a kid and has clearly used it abusively to alter awareness about certain people on the national scale, yet he didn't fulfill his contract until he was in his freaking sixties. and, in this whole time, he never lost control of his geass like lelouch and mao did.
@bitt
starting to like suzaku too, eh? his character probably would have been better expressed in a novel than in an anime. did this episode clear up the problems you had with the last one? about clearing suzaku, it wouldn't be very difficult for kallen to do that, assuming she'll still follow lelouch's orders (she's crying in the preview so it is debatable). suzaku just got lucky (or not) with the fact that the latent order still had one thing to rely on by the time it took effect. if he removes any possible escape clauses (ie welding the escape hatch shut) before the next time he fights her, he can get himself killed.
he's probably laughing at the fact that he can't kill himself. it is a pretty ironic problem for a tragic hero. i'm really curious where he'll turn after this. i mean, everybody, except him (he'll still blame himself cause that's how he is), was at fault in this one. schneizel had to have planned this shit out from the get go, lelouch wouldn't listen to him plus he put the order in place, and one can only trust the emp as far as one can throw him and he's pretty big, while suzaku isn't.
why the hell did todo stop his freaking assault because of some stupid crap the other guy said? no matter what lelouch is planning, killing schneizel is clearly something that would benefit todo's liberation forces.
who prompted anya's schizophrenia this time?
nunnally can't die until my prediction about anya is tested. whatever happens to her after that doesn't really concern me. plus, sayako was in the same ship, which means she could jutsu her to safety.
p.s. why is cornelia smiling? she should be pointing a gun at that manipulative hunk.
p.p.s. does anyone find it odd that lelouch still has rolo's call sign show up as "rolo lamperouge?" it should say "douchebag that killed shirley."

The black knights are rather silly, kind of like biting the hand that feeds you...
regardless of WHAT Zelu has done....there is no way they would have made it anywhere without his expertise, his geass is one thing but this the most important statement:

about schneizel:that was way too predictable. seriously, lelouch is really slipping if he wasn't willing to accept that as a plausible strategy.
What strategy? To use Freya? Suzaku was the one who presented the warhead. Lelouch would never believe that Susaku would fire that thing. And with all right. It was an accident. Lelouch made the right call. It was the Geass that caused the accident. Suzaku refused to fire it until the very end.
And if you mean sacrificing Nunally, it's not as if he had any reason to believe that the situation would improve if he waited.
the funny thing is that schneizel left the king out in the open again and lelouch actually took it this time. i guess lelouch needs to go back to the chess board before he tries anything stupid again.
Huh? Are you suggesting that repeating the same strategy twice in chess is better? :blink (You said that because Lelouch did things differently, he needs to go back to chess school.) If you keep doing the same thing, you become predictable, and that's when you need to learn more about chess.
This was simply Schneizel being good enough to read Lelouch, not Lelouch making the wrong move.
And speaking of that, you sound pretty wise after you have all the facts in your hands, and criticize everything that didn't work as being wrong, but what do you suggest Lelouch do then? He needed to save Nunnaly fast, because she would be used by the Emperor, and Schneizel. Leaving her was obviously not an option. He had to try. And would have succeeded if it wasn't for that one Geass command he gave Suzaku.
why the hell did todo stop his freaking assault because of some stupid crap the other guy said? no matter what lelouch is planning, killing schneizel is clearly something that would benefit todo's liberation forces.
Did he really stop? I don't know. I thought he only paused to review the message. If he wouldn't still resume the assault afterwards, then that would probably be stupid since I imagine nothing in that testimony would change the fact that taking down Schneizel is a good thing.

Wow, it's been several days and i still can't believe how many characters got killed off this last episode.:amuse
Code Geass sure does love to thin out the ranks. In most regular animes a major character dies like once or twice a season. Code Geass R2 seems to be working on achieving an average of 1 per episode and i have to say..... ITS AWSOME!:D
I like Code Geass's way of doing things so much better then animes were the main characters are completely unkillable. There is so much more anticipation.:tem

uh, did you not read the prediction i made before this episode arguing that schneizel would put suzaku in a situation whereby the latent order would force him to nuke japan. then, he'd use that to cripple lelouch's support. don't talk as though schneizel doesn't know what suzaku's morality and latent order will lead him to do. schneizel already proved his ability to read suzaku like a book in ep 17. if he wasn't able to read suzaku, he never would have allowed him to be deployed. seriously, in ep 17, suzaku was associating with a known terrorist and wanted to make peace with him. he knew suzaku's loyalty to the cause was suspect. if i had a soldier like that, i wouldn't send him out at a critical point. but then, i can trust he'll do exactly what i want because i know about the latent order that will cause him to survive no matter what the consequences. why else would i give him a weapon of mass destruction? if i start "losing" through conventional means, i still win. if he didn't think suzaku would do the job, he would have given the nuke to luciano, who would be happy to blow some worthless elevens up. of course, he wouldn't be able to spin the vampire's acts of aggression in his favor. now, schneizel probably has a record of the conversation suzaku had with lelouch during the battle. someone just became an easy scapegoat.
with regard to "suzaku would never fire that thing," in the middle of the episode, lelouch says that suzaku is capable of any atrocity. the guy killed killed his father, betrayed his country, and most importantly (my ass), he betrayed lelouch. meanwhile, schneizel's employed a chick who almost blew up ashford academy not too long ago. this same person also openly said that she was researching how certain theories could be applied to the creation of a weapon of mass destruction. if anything, lelouch should have every reason to believe that schneizel's got a nuke and decided to give it to someone who was capable of using it.
and why the bloody hell would schneizel leave the guren in the governor's office if he didn't want it to get used? that knightmare was originally on his vessel for testing and alterations and then he decides to leave the most powerful knightmare they have in a facility that he knows will be attacked. ooooh, i'm sure he didn't see a sudden turn in lelouch's favor coming. it even gave him the opportunity to get rid of a few of waldstein's, who is loyal to the emp and not him, troops in the process.
And would have succeeded if it wasn't for that one Geass command he gave Suzaku.
there was no real indication that nunnally was in danger. granted, she was clearly being used by the britannians, but lelouch was just being incredibly paranoid. the emp and schneizel weren't about to kill the best political hostage they had (if they were interested in that, they would have done it the moment lelouch declared war). sending a guy, who had clearly displayed his extreme jealousy towards your sister, out to save her isn't exactly doing everything in your power to keep her safe. of course, neither is pushing your enemy to annihilate the city she's in. seriously, what does beating suzaku to a pulp have to do with saving nunnally? when kallen showed up, the battle was won. he could have easily gotten nunnally out without trying to kill suzaku. the former should have been his higher priority.
Huh? Are you suggesting that repeating the same strategy twice in chess is better? :blink (You said that because Lelouch did things differently, he needs to go back to chess school.) If you keep doing the same thing, you become predictable, and that's when you need to learn more about chess.
This was simply Schneizel being good enough to read Lelouch, not Lelouch making the wrong move.
i'll agree that schneizel was clearly outplaying lelouch. however, when you're facing someone as skilled as schneizel, then you need to be on your guard. instead, lelouch decides to perform an unnecessary act of revenge against someone who just told him that he had a nuke in his pistol and also brought up his latent order less than 24 hours before said act of revenge. face it, lelouch should have been wary of what seemed like an overwhelming advantage that had been gift wrapped for him (moments after he had just gotten his ass handed to him by anya and luciano), cause he had already seen schneizel try to give him a present. i'm saying he should go back to playing with plastic/wooden/stone pieces against schneizel cause he's just not ready for the real deal.
Did he really stop? I don't know. I thought he only paused to review the message. If he wouldn't still resume the assault afterwards, then that would probably be stupid since I imagine nothing in that testimony would change the fact that taking down Schneizel is a good thing.
asahina probably found out the details about the assault on the cult. asahina clearly thought that was enough to get todo to stop following zero's orders since he sent the message to him in the middle of the assault and then went off to apprehend rolo. of course, just by taking the time to read the message, his window was closed. his forces didn't have the benefit of putting a shield up and starting a retreat (yes, schneizel's ship started leaving the battlefield when todo got the message) moments before the nuke was fired.
is anyone gonna address my question about anya's moment of schizophrenia from this episode?

in the chinese fed, it was prompted by c.c. this time, as far as we know, no one was around to repeat it.
from what i can tell, the modifications to the guren happened on his ship, where they also modified the lancelot. either way, he knew they were going after the government office. if he didn't want them to have the guren back, he would have kept it out of their reach.
p.s. lol at the scene where milley's running away, leaving her cameraman yards behind her.

i put an "either way" in there because i personally can't tell the difference between the hangars and figured schneizel would be keeping his greatest asset as close to him as possible. that is, until he wanted to use it, in which case he'd want to be pretty far away from it.
oh, i don't know, maybe because he wanted to kill suzaku, which wouldn't be possible without canceling his prior order to "live."
p.s. does anyone have a clue what the toromo institution is? schneizel mentioned it in ep 15 of R2 and ep 20 of the first season.

Schneizel sees the nuke as his trump card, not Lloyd's toy. He couldn't care less about the Guren.
It is possible to kill Suzaku even with the live Geass. It doesn't make him invincible, just harder to kill than his self-sacrificing personality normally makes him. Plus, Suzaku was as good as dead. He only got away because the nuke was a big distraction.
I think one of the novels mentions it.

Man, that was crazy. It was a good idea to watch 16, 17, and 18 in one block!
The Geass website correlation chart currently lists Nunnally, Sayoko, Asahina and Nunnally's caretaker as 'whereabouts unknown.' Part of me was sort of hoping they really died, to make things more interesting; the other part wants them alive because Nunnally is cute and has a mysterious past, and Sayoko is just bad-ass. My guess is that FLEIA sent them to wherever the Sword of Akasha is. Just because.
So, now that Asahina has dropped dirt of Zero, I wonder who will be left on his side? Orange, definitely. Kallen, maybe. Diethard... who knows. Kaguya? It would be nice, she's awesome.

actually, i was also talking about the nuke. because the lancelot was next to the guren when they decided to mount the nuke, i assumed that the guren was on his ship before lelouch's little war.
asahina's gotta be dead. there's really no point in keeping him around at this point. if he's still alive, he's barely hanging on so can make a sentimental farewell speech to todo.
diethard would never leave the knights. he's the only one who doesn't know the truth but is still gungho about turning zero into an incredible symbol of power. he promotes the concepts of power and propaganda over justice. if anything, he'll be happy that zero is actually what he wants him to be.
