Quick summary....

Something about the sceneary and then a scene of Ryoma's Rivals all beaten and conversing how the times are changing and such. It seems that all of them had their special moves broken.

Ryoma enters. Yukimura says, "So it seems you're finally here" and Ryoma says, "Sorry to keep you waiting"

Match begins and Ryoma starts it suddenly with his signature Twist Serve, which is returned.

He then goes for a Drive A which is returned and followed up with a COOL drive.

Everyone is stunned by how easily COOL Drive was returned and how Yukimura truly is "the Child of God"

Ryoma says, "not bad"

And also how Sanada went from 'I'm bleeding out into my legs' to 'I'm going to show that arrogant rookie'.

Great chapter, although we couldn't see the real power of Yukimura yet.

I think Ryoma used the left handed twist serve cause in one chapter he says that the right handed twist serve had less power beacuse he used it against right handed players and he aimed for their faces. So to use it with the left hand means that either Yukimura is left handed or that Ryoma wanted to use a full power twist serve. Still I wanted to see how he returned the cool drive. Hope that next chapter(in two weeks:() will show more of this match and show at least a technique of Yukimura.

Page 12 was an error in drawing I think. because if you look on page 13 he still has it. Konomi probably just made a drawing error. Yukimura seems predominantly right handed as well, as all other scenes feature him holding the racket in his right hand. This includes the scene where he challenges Tezuka in Sanada's flashback. It is possible for him to be at least partially ambidextrous as shown on Page 12...but as I believe that page has drawing errors on it, it's up to debate

And after all this we still haven't seen Yukimura hit a single shot yet. We have no idea how he returned any of these shots. Sure, Twist Serve people have been returning since Sasabe and Drive A has been returned before, but I don't get how COOL Drive returned from the baseline. We just kind of get this, explosion and the ball is behind Ryoma, like, Wind of Sanada's FuuRinInKaZanRai plus Moon Volley plus Dragonfly Illusion.

eeek this chapter was fairly good; i'm still not impressed with yukimura's playing style although he returned all of echizen's shots; i'm still trying to grasp whether he's more as a "perfect tennis" player or maybe a genius prodigy of some sort...

I really like how Yukimura is like a super version of Shiraishi, but with no real special moves.

I love how he logically just isn't surprised by anything. With the Big Bang, he shrugs it off as being only power with no skill. With the Entaku Shot, everyone remarks how it looks liek theres multiple balls and he's just liek "that's not possible, there's only 1 ball there). Then with Kamikakushi he just blows it off and says that nothing can really disappear.

I especially like how he just blows off Muga and says that it's only an energy waster.

I really like how all these "godlike" moves are just seen through right away as pure flash and "regular" tennis can defeat them.

I can't wait to see how Hyakuren is defeated and then Saikikanpatsu....with Yukimura finally having to face true perfection in Ten'imuhou

i dont like the way they made muga look weak! sanada beats the 2 doors just like that! these are supposed to be considered some of the best techniques in PoT (3 doors).... yukimura will most likely beat the 2 doors since sanada is inferior to him (obviously) and he is the so called child of god... it wouldve been better if echizen was the only one hu can use muga then the first two doors will be beaten only by yukimura until the third door is opened then pwns with it. or they should leave tezuka with haykuren only, then chitose with saiki.. and ryoma having all 3!.... they shouldnt have given tezuka 2 doors... and then make it lose just like that...

So Ryoma powered up, but lets not forget Yukimura is playing in "normal mode". If we are to be realistic....(well, in POT "realistic" has a whole new meaning, but still) Yukimura should win. Now we are talking about the POT manga, so I guess some mireacle will happen and Ryoma will somehow beat him. Though wouldnt it be cool if he lost?
That aside, I really love how Yukimura shrugs all the so called special moves as if they were nothing. He is supposed to be on a higher level than Sanada, so I guess its normal that he returns all of Ryoma's specials just like that :P

Damnit, we still don't know how it's possible to return the 'Rai' shot that Sanada used. It's really starting to piss me off. Normally, there is some weakness that is exploited, but 'Rai' is still this mysterious, awesome shot.

Well Rai is pretty much 2 skills in one....

You have the teleportation part which in my opinion is the real skill and then you have the super powered angled shot part. I think Rai sort of proved that Hyakuren Jitoku no Kiwami had a limit to how much power it could return 2-fold.

In terms of sheer power we probably have something like this....

Dash Hadoukyuu -> Gin's 1-100+ styles of Hadoukyuu -> Hyakuren's Limit is probably here -> 108th Style Hadoukyuu -> Taka's mysterious unnamed power shot -> Rai -> Super Ultra Great Delicious DaiShaRin Yama Arashi -> Some Super Ten'imuhou shot and probably Yukimura's level of power

Though I could be wrong and Hyakuren's limit is changeable depending on the limits of the person using it.

On another note, I don't see Yukimura opening any doors or using Muga at all. While, Muga was shown to be a god-like technique and so have so many other moves. From what I've seen in this chapter, it's clear Yukimura is here to prove that all of that is just flash to trick the mind. That it really isn't needed as long as you can still keep hitting the ball over the net. I really think that Yukimura's presence is sort of meant to bring the Tennis in tenipuri back to reality a bit. I think the most we'll see from him that isn't "regular basics" is maybe one or two super moves that can over power Hyakuren and counter Saikikanpatsu (Though, I don't think he'll use any to counter Hyakuren though....How he's gonna stop Saiki is stumping me however).

Once upon a time,Ryoma used his SUPER ULTRA GREAT DELICIOUS CRAZY MOUNTAIN STORM! and shot a tennis ball into the space....chuck norris then decided to play tennis with him,hitting the ball back with his roundhouse kick. Then,God himself(The Flying Spaghetti Monster) decided to help ryoma,making it a doubles match! Then when Chuck Norris was at a tough spot, then CAPTAIN FALCON used his FALCON PUNCH to help him. The greatest double match ever, "The flying spaghetti monster + Echizen vs Chuck Norris+ Captain Falcon" ended in the extinction of all dinossaurs.

I disagree. I firmly believe Tezuka could return the SUGD shot with PoHW, if it was done by Kintarou. The reason being is that Kintarou is no longer in the same class as Sanada or Yukimura. That being put into consideration, the strongest shot right now would be Sanada's Rai in my opinion. Although we didn't see Echizen copy the second stage of Rai, so it is unknown how Yukimura would fair against it, or if it is even worth mentioning with the obvious difference in skill between Echizen and Sanada. Echizen can copy a technique, but it will never be as good as the original technique.

As for your other points it's as i've been saying, Yukimura is the Demi-god of Tennis, i think he's based on Federer, his appearance and his lack of special shots (so far) indicate this.

This match up until now is pretty incredible, but I want to see a technique of Yukimura. Knowing the author he would give Yukimura some techniques but Ryoma will probably have to go into PoP to be able to draw out Yukimura's real skill.

It's also really bad that we can't see how he is returning Ryoma's shots. When he did the cool drive we didn't see anything. Now Ryoma does this great shot and we just see when Yukimura has already returned the shot. Still I'm expecting some techniques from Yukimura and pretty powerful techniques.

Well so far Yukimura has proven that every single special shot in the series is nothing that special. In the end of the day it's still just a ball and it can be returned. Well I'm positive Yukimura could break the Tezuka zone and saying how it is really nothing special and beat people by simply using passing shots like an actual tennis player.

Maybe Ryoma should just start playing like a normal tennis player? Y'know, play from the baseline, force to opponent to run and pass them. That could work instead of doing all sorts of special and useless techniques.

he saw that the FSM and ryoma were playing against chuck norris and capt. falcon... horio was enraged on what he saw.... because he found it sweet for the FSM and ryoma teaming up... so he shouted "RYOMA!"... after hearing his name being shouted by his love, ryoma looked at horio, then chuck norris hits a SUPER CRAZY EXTRA TASTY ROUND HOUSE KICK to return the ball and hits ryoma in the face and knocked him unconcious which threathened his life... horio rushed towards ryoma and held him in his arms... the FSM saw how deeply inlove those two are, so he decided to give up its life for ryomas recovery... ryoma got his conciousness back and told horio that he would never leave him for another man..... then they opened the pinnacle of love and hits a SUPER DUPER ULTRA GREAT DELICIOUS CRAZY MOUNTAIN STORM OF LOVE and sent chuck norris along with captain falcon to their extinction. then ryoma thanked the FSM... and with horio... they lived happily ever after... :D

Well I'm still in Japan, but somehow I got a tl out....anyhow time for my thoughts

I like how they're showing how Hyakuren can be used in several different ways. In regards to the comment about it being a defensive tech. My thought is that it's doubling the power and speed of Ryoma's pace. because stepping can be like a ball being hit. on impact of the step, the pace will be doubled and such. It's sort of like Shishido's teleportation step I think.

I have a thought that Saiki will also be shown to have more than just prediction capabilities. I have a feeling that Ryoma opened Saiki earlier than the last page and Saiki was what gave him the insight to know how to use Hyakuren completely. I think Saiki's other ability is something like giving one the wisdom and knowledge to know how to use a move and all it's facets completely. That would be an interesting twist. Afterall it is "Great Wisdom" and I doubt that would only mean prediction ability.

As I said before, Ryoma is opening things in steps and I think at the end of the next chapter, or the chapter after next, we'll see Nanjirou come in and do that whole "Do it!!" line and Ryoma will open Ten'imuhou. Then the chapter afterwards, Nanjirou will give the explanation about what Ten'imuhou is and all that jazz.

Anyhow that ends my thoughts.

i like the part where ryoma improvised by using the muga chi on his legs and right arm instead of using tezuka zone to catch up with yukimura's shots... :D

Ryoma's "Zone" isnt as good as Tezuka's "Zone", thats why i think he couldnt use tezuka zone....

Evolution, using the PoHW in his legs and feet allowed Ryoma to use move in position to return the ball. Yukimura saw that Ryoma activated PoHW but didn't have the Tezuka Zone to use it properly so he started to simply hit the balls with precision away from Ryoma. The Tezuka Zone draws all the balls into his hitting range so Tezuka didn't have that weakness. Ryoma simply found a way around it and as Sai said he used it differently to accomplish the same goal.

I actually think Sai is quite on and I was about to type the same thing. Ryoma simply activated PoGW to overcome the PoHW's weakness. Notice that Sanada had just commented on how Ryoma grew so fast that he lacked comprehension of his skills. Comprehension allows someone to know how to use their skills in the proper way. Its like Ryoma comprehending that he must switch to his right hand to hit his twist serve properly to right handed opponents.

I agree with Sai, I think Ryoma activated PoGW and basically used PoGW to gain comprehension of his skills which allowed him to use PoHW in his own way.

LOL, Sai I was thinking the same thing about how in a couple of chapters you'd see Nanjirou show up and tell Ryoma to stop being a kid and just show them his TRUE ability. Then Nanjirou will tell them that Pinnacle of Perfection is seeing through every technique and being able to concentrate on the basic parts of tennis which never change no matter the technique. Basically what Yukimura is doing but on another level because Pinnacle of Perfection gives the player the ability to create any shot in any situation because they have a mastery of the basics.

Yukimura was completely owning Ryoma yet instead of wondering what's going on Ryoma simply stood back up and raised his level of play. It seems almost like Ryoma has been testing Yukimura's strength all along.

No matter how strong Yukimura is he still isn't as strong as Nanjirou so its not like Ryoma should be scared anyway.

-Playing right handed for the first half of his match with Hyoshi

-Playing right handed even against Kirihara

-Toying with Kei tanishi for half the set

Hmm, never thought of it like that. Actually reading your comment somehow reminded me of Newton's third law of motion (for every force exerted, there is an equal and oppositely direct force applied). I guess the stepping with PoHW could be like using the returning force as it would use the force of an incoming ball.

I hope the match doesn't just end up being Ryoma going PoP and then owning and winning. Though Yukimura is already showing skills, I kind of want to see something unique from him. Right now it seems like he's just like an even better version of that Bible tennis guy (forgot his name) since he's kind of sticking to basics and seeing shots as they are without all the fancy ways other people describe them (disappearing, etc.).

This The Prince vs Child of god thing is becoming boring.

--if i recalled in the manga, when fuji played niou, the match was merely a reincarnation of the "fuji vs tezuka" match, which was settled in the anime (as a filler)...Do you guys think the anime will follow the same route as the manga did or will they have to change the match to where it doesn't simulate a remake of the filler (basically change niou's playing style and avoid a repeat of the fuji vs. tezuka match)

--and if you didn't notice on the other preview, the doubles match between inui and kaidoh had shown that yagyuu replaced renji as the doubles partner of akaya

I have to disagree...

The OVA does have to do with the series...the anime differed from the manga and created plotholes and inconsistances...thus the OVA's had to fix them....i'm bored so i'll name some:

-In the OVA Ryoma beats Oishi for his spot back after the US open...in the manga this was tezuka because Ryoma never left

-According to MR. Inoe..Ryoma's COOL drive was done during the US open, in the Manga it was done to Sanada

-When Tezuka uses Hyakuren...Fuji mentions Muga no Kyouchi and Ryoma is suprised...which is silly considering he abuse MNK

-Fuji/oishi explain Hyakuren in the OVA, but it is Yukimura and Sanada that explain it in the manga

-Renji didnt have Kamaitachi, and Sanada lost his Fuurinkazan...thus when ryoma used these techniques in MnK against Atobe..the OVA couldnt show it because it was never done

-Tezuka suppossedly healed comepletely in Germany..yet still had to go to Kyushuu in the OVA

Thats all i can think of right now...

--sanada's playing style (using invisible swing the entire match vs. fuurinkazan
--niou's playing style (which i feel they can fix considering in the anime, wasn't there a guy who read habits during the doubles match --forgot his name)
--the explanation of mnk since it was soo poorly explained in the ova (considering if you never read the manga)



bleh; lets hope konomi doesn't CHANGE too much to make up for its inconsistency with the manga_

i am wondering how the tezuka vs sanada match would turn out since fuurinkazan was not shown in the anime... i was thinking if konomi would just consider the whole FuuRinKaInZanRai as an ace to beat tezuka... that means, konomi could make the match fairly even until sanada uses the shadow and lightning techs. well thats how i see it... tezuka would be able to keep up wid FuuRinKaZan but is going to be driven up into a pinch where he decides to use phantom.... that seems possible.... as for niou, trickster might also be introduced the same way as FuuRinKaInZanRai....

LASTLY...it's harder to make your own dynamic matchup...than it is to just follow the manga. The OVA itself is fine. I believe what happened was that the OVA wanst even going to be made...but the huge PoT fanbase demanded it and thus here we are....but since they weren't planning it they had silly things in the Anime...but the OVA has fixed these little problems. Besides they could always act like nothing happened and assume the viewers read the manga (Yagyu's laser is a good example)

Lastly....has anyone SEEN the ova?

Apparently what just happened to Ryoma at the end is what Yukimura was talking about when he told Ryoma he better hurry up and lose quickly. No worries, Yukimura will win the current game and then Ryoma will push through his technique to stage a comeback. Looks like Yukimura gives players more than just the yips, maybe that is why his own body gave out from using that technique.

my opinion: the tezuka vs chitose match just didn't appeal to me like the manga introduced it, there wasn't much emphasis in the match itself, seemed kinda bleh...

Y e a p; i have to agree with you as far as how ova 18 was presented; it just wasn't like i thought it would be...as for ova 19; it was perfect; Tooyama's style, personality, etc. was emphasized exactly how they did in the manga...


and the finals preview, i hope its a slip up too although yagyuu isn't a bad alternate neither, so we'll see how that goes...



One last point, towards the end when seigaku encountered rikkaidai (never happened in the manga)...i thought that the meeting was great; showed how confident rikkaidai was and also added some sort of twist (build up) to the national finals...

If Ryoma unlocks the final door there shouldn't be any way Yukimura could stand up to him. Ryoma already has outdone Tezuka in that he learned how to move PoHW to different areas of the body as needed plus he combined it with PoW. Give him a 3rd door and its bye bye Yukimura.

Here's my belief on the last chapter.

Echizen, did not open Saikikanpatsu no Kiwami. The reason being that we don't ever see the sparklies around him. Also in the beginning, Yuki makes a comment asking if it was really Saiki. I believe Ryoma was trying to force Saiki open and that lead to the nosebleed. Think about in other anime when psychics uses their powers too strenuously, they all get nose bleeds too. So I think that Ryoma was trying to force himself to open it so much that it caused a shock to his body and a nosebleed.

As for next chapter, I expect Ryoma to fully open Saiki and for us to see Yuki's true strength and maybe an actual special move.

Hmmm, from the looks of it, the next DVD is a DVD 0 that will feature the Yakiniku battle and then DVD 1 onwards will be the Rikkai matches.

I don't understand the need to replace Renji with Yagyuu....unless they want the official score between Inui and Renji to remain as Inui's win....It would've made much more sense if they reokaced Kirihara with Yagyuu and then made Fuji's a rematch against Kirihara...

Anyhow, I hope that it was indeed a slip up and that it will be fixed when the DVDs come out

I did not expect Super Ultra Great Delicious DaiShaRin Yama Arashi to look like that at all, but it was still pretty cool, despite kinda dramatic. I guess they took the DaiShaRin (which literally means big wheel) a bit literally....

I was very disappointed with the Chitose/Tezuka match. For one, they rarely showed Saiki's glitter glow and they completely left out the Zero-Shiki Serve, which is going to be important for the Sanada match. I hope for the finals they release certain matches over the span of several episodes....like maybe one DVD per match. At least for Sanada vs Tezuka and Yukimura vs Ryoma.

I dont really have time to really tl all of the spoiler, but here is the gist of it.

Yukimura basically has some ability to steal away a persons senses and thats why Ryoma's last shot was a home run. He stole away Ryoma's sense of touch and feel.

Everyone is basically shocked and trying to figure out how it's even possible for him to do that and how it caused Ryoma's nose to bleed.

Chapter continues with Yukimura and Ryoma rallying and such. Ending is Yukimura saying: "Boy, you probably can't here now, can you?"

I think Ryoma actually opened Saiki, but Yukimura showed his real power and he was the cause that Ryoma failed his prediction and the shot. I don't think that Yukimura unlocked Tenimuhou. I wish that next chapter we can get a full explanation of what happened.

On a side note: the Ovas 18 and 19 are out. But some things were changed. Tezuka doesn't use his Zero Shiki serve, the aura of Saiki was eliminated(those sparkles), and it seems the directors of the movie did this ovas as we can see Tezuka surfing over some waves(which by the way was really funny). Good thing, the guys in Nagoya talk in english and Akaya is actually covered in blood and was not censored.

If this was Hajime no Ippo I'd say that Yukimura was using attacks to specific parts of the body that would cause weakening of the senses, but that doesn't really work the same way with tennis. Nanjiroh has said before that Tenimuhou gives you a tennis sense beyond anything of normal human senses. You will be able to play tennis without even being concious! (you can hit the ball to the right place without seeing that place, hearing the ball, smelling anything that might help someone with a great sense of small pick out location, tasting anything (how the hell would that help anyone but Kintarou? lol), or feeling where your racket even is!)

The cause of Echizen's nosebleed is Yukimura, not Saiki. The reason is the fact Konomi used Eiji to point out the fact Echizen's nose was bleeding, then the scene changes to Sanada saying Yukimura is finally himself, with an image of raining blood. So obviously the blood on Echizen, and Echizen missing the shot, is connected to Yukimura. An explanation is more than likely to happen in the next chapter.

Well he will definitely open it up, I'm sure of it. It's probably the only way out for Ryoma atm judging from how the play goes.

But many also forgot that Yukimura also reached at least Muga (as far as we know). I don't like Ryoma's chances if that happens, or worse... one of the 3 doors. But yeah, I don't think he'll use Muga.

Let's be realistics now.

Konomi LOVES Seigaku.
And he LOVES Ryoma the best.
He's soooo unfair because of this love sometimes. Or always.

Thinking reasonably, Rikkai is the best school.
The best players and stuff.
Yukimura, now revealed as the Child of God, is showing his supreme power on tennis, that goes muuuch further than just returning any balls as he was doing back later; he is taking Ryoma's senses away. It's virtually IMPOSSIBLE for him to win.

But I also believe, as the guy with Byakuya's signature says, that Ryoma will do something and turn tables, 'cause that's the way any manga works.

However, Seigaku shouldn't win.
I don't think they will... that would be VERY rude and unfair from Konomi's part.
He'd destroy Yukimura and make him look very stupid out of it.
Besides ruining Rikkai... but god knows what will happen now.

Teni Muho No Kiwami - the best technique in PoT
Seigaku - the team of our protagonist... the main team in the series... :)

Rikkaidai - antagonists... however you look at it, they are still seigaku's opponents.. last 2 years champions
Yukimura Seiichi - captain of rikkaidai, probably the best tennis player in middle school...

ok, heres how i see it, and the reasons why seigaku/ryoma should win... :)

1.) this is the first time seigaku reach the finals in the nationals.. and they havent won the championship yet not even once... :) while rikkaidai already brought home the bacon twice... :p

2.) however you look at it, even if yukimura is a nice guy, he is STILL the opponent of ryoma... and has always been on the top... so don't you guys think it would be cool if ryoma beats him?... :)

3.) based on whats happening now, yukimura took away ryoma's senses, which we all assume that will lead him into opening Teni Muho... thats probably the reason why konomi chose that kind of skill for yukimura... so that ryoma will really be pushed into using Teni Muho... and if Yukimura beats teni muho... i dont know, maybe he really is god... teni muho is the best tech in PoT after all....

so do you think for us to have a good ending, YUKIMURA should beat echizen so it'll be the rikkaidai's 3rd consecutive win and yukimura will still be the best?... For seigaku, the seniors will just leave without even winning their first and last appearance in the national's finals?.... i can't imagine what kind ending it would be if that happens... so its best if ryoma unlocks PoP then beats Yukimura and he gives his seniors a memorable last year.... :)

Right before he is about to lose Ryoma remembers everything that he has been through. How Tez and co taught him, he remembers why he loves tennis. He realises that even though he doesn't have his senses he wants to keep playing. Being the pillar of Seigaku all these memories plus the training unlock pop :P

Even though it's pretty much unexplainable, I really like Yukimura's ability to suck away one's senses. As mentioned before (though I think it was in the spoiler discussion), It's the perfect ability to trigger Ryoma into Ten'imuhou. After all, Nanjirou did mention how Ryoma is "trapped by his senses" and by being relieved of them he will eventually be forced into opening Ten'imuhou or lose horribly. It really is a nice Deus ex Machina Konomi built in to force Ryoma into opening Ten'imuhou.

It does make you wonder however...at what point did Nanjirou open ten'imuhou and what triggered him to do so? It could very well be possible that Nanjirou's year in Seigaku was one of those "Once in a decade" years with a lot of super strong players. Thus Ryoma is indeed a sort of Present imitating the Past.

Hence Nanjirou would then be basically trying to remake himself to see who would win when it's himself vs himself (just a random thought)

Anyhow back to the match....

Next Chapter we will see Ryoma struggling as he loses the next 2 games (thus being at 5-5) all the while we will see within his mind and see him slowly figuring out and questioning how to open Ten'imuhou. Then the final page will show Ryoma with Ten'imuhou opened (showing whatever new aura it will have...if it will even have any). It won't be until the chapter after this week that we will finally see Ten'imuhou in action I believe.

I for one think Yukimura's ability is perfectly reasonable. I like it actually. Think about it.

Have you ever stared at a single portrait for a long time? like the Mona Lisa for example. If you stare long enough, at a certain distance, parts of the face begin to move. It is because nothing is changing, and you are staring at the same thing for a certain amount of time. Your eyes begin to fool you.

It's the same with Yukimura. Echizen has in his head, that he will automatically return the ball. These same movements, along with the amount of time viewing them causes Echizen to see differently.

The same is true for most of the senses. Repetition is what causes them to fail. It is a good concept on Konomi's part. I didn't expect it.

As for the Ryoma vs Sanada match....in the anime it was totally...well...stupid.
He just defeated Sanada like overpowering him?

In the manga it was more like a miscalculation. Sanada was better,but understimated echizen and let him get to the match point, and only realised that echizen was better than he expected after he had lost. Which was really cool for me, since it let sanada keep his dignity although he lost to echizen and let seigaku win.

There are some things I hated about the finals though.

1- Tezuka losing. Don't get me wrong, Sanada was better...... But Tezuka was supposed to be Seigaku's deus ex maquina!

2- Inui/Kaidoh match- Just....rushed. Kaidoh got some upgrade that couldn't be used at all, and Inui/Reiji rival thing didn't get solved at all.(Unless you count their first match)

3-Fuji's match....it was GREAT,but making Niou be at his level was just weird. He should have played Kirihara instead....by the way,Kirihara. He didn't get ANY character development,something I was kinda hoping to happen.

4-Golden Pair's match. THE ENTIRE MATCH. Just hope the ovas make a filler version out of this match.

First post. I liked this chapter, even though Yukimura`s technique is kind of unbelievable, I accept it. Only because I want Echizen to kill this technique and win.
At first, I thought Rikkai would win this so the ending would have that learn a lesson kind of ending, but after seeing how one-sided this match is, I think Echizen will win this no matter what. The score will probably be something like 5-0, and then Echizen makes a comeback making the score a tie. Yukimura then opens up another super technique, they end up going into a tie-break, and Echizen wins. I thought Yukimura would have pop, but I don`t think that will happen anymore. Sai explained this somewhere but i don't remember which chapter....anyway Sanada didn't underestimate Echizens' skill...he underestimated his tenacity.

Sanada was playing very seriously...not at his MAX of course but very seriously, Sanada commented on Echizens cool drive and his resolve.

As for your other points...

1- Tezuka isn't Seigaku's Deus Ex Machina...Ryoma is...and after tezukla raped Chitose last round this had to happen

2- I agree..why did Kaidoh get a devil....what was renji's purpose?

3-Yea...Nio kinda came out of nowhere he went from being on par with eiji and Oishi...to pushing Fuji?

4- well we saw this coming too...and they gave Bunta a new technique making us think we were getting a real match or something.

I'm liking the match too but it's very very onesided....reminds me of Echizen VS koori no Sekai
