Then whats the point of calling it a double chapter.

LOL! yeah! double chapters should be twice the length of a normal chapter! thats why its called 'DOUBLE' not 'SINGLE'!

-Is it just me? or does it look like Sanada has some sort of Aura around him.

Alot of people in this series lately have some kind of aura around.

kangster113
March 29, 2007, 02:19 PM
looks like they were losing just to wake kirihara up or something.

Sanada seems to have a new kind of furinkazan, which this time is LIGHTNING

and seems to me that echizen's gonna get owned and he won't be able to play yukimura.

why won't yukimura play ??!?!??!?!

March 29, 2007, 02:35 PM
Eh? Sanada has a new move to his "element attacks" ?? :blink
If so, I'm not surprised at all. Echizen sealed off all of his attacks during their last encounter anyway.

But yeah, this must be a great blow to Echizen. Using his SoSA, he can't even beat his opponent. But I don't think Echizen is finished yet though.

Well, my reason is simple. If everyone up to this point "evolved" and has new moves, why not Echizen? He is training under Nanjirou after all. His father should have taught him one or two new "killer" moves as preparations for the Nationals.

Requiem
March 29, 2007, 02:51 PM
Echizen has sealed "Wind" only in someway, "Fire" can be countered by Higuma Otoshi (as we have seen in AtobeVsEchizen) in theory but i think that Sanada's true "Fire" can be countered only by Kirin Otoshi.
Echizen doesn't even know what kind of move are "Mountain" or "Forest" ^_^

Sai_the_Shaman
March 29, 2007, 03:12 PM
I have a feeling that Echizen is going to suddenly open the 3rd door now, like I've been predicting. Next chapter we should see Ryoma entring Ten'imuhou no Kiwami and maybe a glimpse of Sanada kicking ass. I have a feeling from the little phrase he says before the match that he developed a new move to add to FuuRinKaZan.

Well to be honest, even if Sanada shows all 4 of his FuRinKaZan at that time, Echizen would just copies it with his SoSA and then use it back against him. I might usually think too far and deep about something, trying myself in someone's shoes and imagine the possibilities.

If I was Sanada at that time, I would think it's pretty useless to show all my master moves just to be copied and been used back against me at the end. Well, that what I will think if I was in Sanada's shoes at that time ^^

I have a feeling Yukimura already has it and just hasn't shown anyone

I wouldn't be surprised, considering that most of the people in the series are already pro-level. But I'd rather see him use some brand new technique or play style that can counter Muga and it's advanced "door" offshoots. If Tooyama can do it, then Yukimura sure as hell can, too.

Fayte
March 29, 2007, 05:07 PM
Ive been saying this since Chitose said to Tezuka "Kintarou is the closest one to Pinnacle of Perfection"

Konomi saves the best for last. The best in Kantou was Sanada, hence why he was also the last. Anybody who says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about.

If this is the case in the Nationals, Rikkaidai is once again, last. This means that Kintarou is not the one that will be showing us the PoP. Somebody on Rikkaidai will.

Being Yukimura and Sanada were the first to achieve SoSA, Its only natural they are the first to achieve PoP.

I enjoyed it too, neither of them have win or lost, I think is perfect, maybe a little excessive, but it fits well :D

can't wait for the final, and the line-up for the match *__*
Seigaku must put his best single player this time (if you remember a line-up with Echizen-Fuji-Tezuka was only against St. Rudolph) and the Golden Pair to fullfill the Best Double Pair's dream. Kawamura will not play, so there are a Double for 3 player (Inui, Kaido and Momo) : Momo/Kaido have just played and Inui/Kaido have been together 2 match already, maybe Konomi can surprise us with Inui/Momo pair

Rikkai MUST let Yukimura play (or I will kill Konomi) and Sanada in single, Kirihara instead of Yanagi, can't play double so the 2nd year Ace will be their last single player. So Yanagi in double, but with who ? Maybe Yanagi/Niou again, since we didn't seen anything of their match, but I want to see Yagyu

The line-up for me:
S3: Tezuka Vs Kirihara (Akaya is waiting this match since Volume2)
D2: Inui/Kaido Vs Yanagi/Yagyu or Inui/Momo Vs Yanagi/Niou (Momo and Niou are both trickster :P)
S2: Fuji Vs Sanada (Quadruple Counter+Final Counter Vs FuuRinKaZan+Rai, can't wait to see this match ;))
D1: Oishi/Kikumaru Vs don't know yet
S1: Echizen Vs Yukimura (unfortunately :()

... I agree with your position on the surprise on Inui/Momo, and the golden pair HAS to play doubles 1 (and win, but there's only one scenario for me where that can happen), but your Tezuka is in the wrong spot. Fuji is a natural genius and everything, and he's AWESOME, but as much as I hate rematches against enemies ALREADY beaten, Fuji needs to fight the new non-injuring Kirihara demon mode. Tezuka is NOT the singles 3 kinda guy. Singles 2 vs. Sanada is what I've been waiting for. Your Rikkai positions seem good for me, but maybe put Yanagi/Niou//Yanagi/Yagyu in Doubles 1, because Yanagi is one of Rikkai's top 4, after all. Echizen vs. Yukimura will be my heaven.

And on a fairly unrelated note, I couldn't really tell the way things went in the final second of the match. Did Kintarou split the ball in his shot and Ryoma hit what he saw coming, which turned out to be only half of the ball, and then the smile on his face he had at first would be thinking he hit the whole ball over to Kintarou's side? Or did Kintarou's shot just weaken the ball while putting a huge force on it, so that when Echizen hit it, it split in two, and the remaining force on the ball spun half of it off his racket and the other half was successfully shot over? These specific questions may never be answered....

Anyway, I vote for a rematch after Echizen beats Yukimura.

Kirihara vs Tezuka would be pointless. Tezuka is on a different level. Fuji and Sanada would be pointless, Sanada is on a different level. The only logical reasoning is:

Tezuka vs Sanada
Fuji vs Kirihara

Even if its a rematch, it must be done.

Sanada is on Tezuka's level. In Kantou, and in the Nationals. Fuji was not on Sanada's level in Kantou, and if Sanada improved as much as Fuji did, Fuji is still at the same distance from Sanada. Its logical. Fuji had trouble beating Kirihara in Kantou, whom Sanada completely destroyed. That showed us the difference in levels in Kantou. In the nationals, Sanada will most likely be a stronger Shiraishi in terms of skill.

So far we have seen Fuji's improvement against Shiraishi. That made him better than the former Nationals Kirihara. The new Nationals Kirihara, who improved against Nagoya, has now gotten himself up to Nationals Fuji level. They are both however still not at Nationals Tezuka or Nationals Sanada level.

excuse me, but in my opinion, tezuka the strongest that everyone thinks including me should be fighting agasint Yukimura who is was the national champs last year which logically means he was singles last years and shows that, he is top in the nation even higher than sanada, wouldn't it be better for tezuka to battle against yukimura that's the whole point i watched this anime anyways. Fuji will have to go with Sanada that's for sure, but you guys favour Echizen too much, echizen had never played Akaya in the manga only in the anime. So Echizen should be against akaya or on the reserved and watch the games closely since it's tezuka and fuji's last year. Thtat's the prediction I came up and Tezuka better play Yukimura or else i'ts pointless beating Sanada? and what? can't play yukimura? and echizen beats yukimura and beocmes best in japan just like that? he's on top of everyone's head all the time when he's just a kid? the author wouldn't be that simple minded. Also chitose said fuji would be in their way in the future so is he implying something? you guys should understand more details and look more into it.

wow horrible hypothesis.

do you know why Fuji had problems with Kirihara? because unlike some other people Fuji likes to toy with people. He doesn't hit his first shots with his counters. Throughout the whole match he only used his counters 3-5 times at most. I bet if Sanada played against Kirihara hed be using his invisible swing, etc. at the start due to his kind of nature. AS you read before against Kuranosuke, it said at the end that Fuji was filled with alot of regret because he wasn't played 100% from beginning to end. Fuji is definetely not under Tezuka or Echizen or Sanada or Yukimura. There is a reason why he is a tensei meaning natural-talented-genius. Its just different characteristics of how people handle situations.

Actualy to tell you the truth. I think Tezuka>all right now. Two pinnacles? And fricken a Zero-Shiki serve? That freaking Goku going SJ10. BTW 1) Sanada definetely will not obtain any pinnacles because in my opinion he doesn't deserve any. 2) Fuji vs Sanada would be great. Combos versus Combos, fantastic.

What do you mean when you say, "Echizen had never played against Akaya in the manga only in the anime"? It's actually the reverse. Echizen played Akaya in the manga; in the anime, he played Sanada before the Kantou finals instead of Akaya. Also, I highly doubt Konomi would put Echizen on as a reserve player seeing as how he's the main character and the nationals is what it's all about. Tezuka said Echizen needs to become the pillar of support for Seigaku and I really think the best way for him to accomplish that is to grasp the national victory for Seigaku by himself. So I'm pretty sure he's going to be in Singles 1 playing against Yukimura.

alright guys, I didnt' read the manga but I only read the part from sanada vs echizen and fuji vs akaya up.... and in the anime echizen vs akaya was in the training against the US people with Kevin. Anyways as you can see it's been so long that a captain vs a captain since tezuka vs atobe there were no match after that. Why would hte author always put echizen in singles one? it doesn't make sense to the story no more, it's like he's trying to promote echizen hardcore, from what i see is nanjiroh will teach him the pinnacle of perfection and fuji will level up after the reaction u see in 340 when fuji saw echizen used it? Fuji will improve drastically adn for tezuka you guys should knwo he's the top of the top and only yukimura should be worth going against him. It would be best to put Tezuka VS Yukimura you guys know why? first for captain vs captain, they both were missing in the kantou tournament so a lot of heat or wish is there. second it can be a good match for echizen to sit and watch and understand how strong fighters go against each other, just like tezuka vs atobe. Echizen will learn a lot and after that echizen can improve somehow with the new story about chitose and that kid there with red hair, then everything done echizen can beat tezuka or something. but Tezuka vs Yukimura is a must. and tezuka to lose to echizen will be made by the author that's so obvious. it's a match that we all know will happen because the author loves the main characters who isn't even that cool acts like a kid that he is. Echizen has potential but doesnt' mean he's the best right now. he still has a lot to learn and if he beats everyone? then it means it's the end of the story. If the author builds new characters that are stronger than tezuka and yukimura would any of you like it? it just feels like a new world . that can be done with a new series and I would name it King Of Tennis. or God Of TEnnis. anyways that's my conclusion and it's not a horrible hypothesis because I have many reasons to believe so not just a wish or dream . it was all lead by the author, me made me into thinking this like in the end of the anime yukimura said let's have a godo match tezuka, and tezuka was like since we both are healed let's have a good one. How can that be a horrible hypothesis? when that's what was implied from the anime?

oh ya guys, don't you guys think this is really weird, why does echizen gets to play all the singles 1 after? are you guys saying he's stronger than tezuka and fuji already? if so then I'm pretty dissappointed, even though he should become pillar of support doesnt' mean he should go against the strongest ones all the timess. and let me tell you guys this. Fuji is not under echizen level but do u guys know why he lost to kuranosuke? u guys will never know because you guys don't understand, the main reason is Fuji throughout the whole anime actually the manga , he never faced anyoen super strong like tezuka or sanada , he can never improve or was pushed to the limit only with kuranosuke and in the anime he did faced tezuka but that was a made up match, to satisfy the audience. If fuji played as much games as echizen i bet fuji will be way stronger than echizen and if he has a dad that's super crazy of cousre he'll be come super duper crazy. And echizen vs atobe was dissapointing already, atobe losing to a kid? hahah didn't anyone here wanted the rematch of atobe vs tezuka? i think tezuka is always above atobe and should get a rematch. Tezuka going against kabaji and having a hard time that's quite hilarious but if we think about it kabaji never lost in the anime. he was tied with kawamura. Echizen vs Kintarou was a good match I had to admit it fits they were same age around and same skill level, made perfect sense, tezuka vs yukimura , same age around and same skill level makes another pefect sense? it would be fair like that. If not then echizen is hogging all the lights and by the way Echizen isn't even that smart, he jsut copies and come up with cool drive things, if he was smart like tezuka or fuji come up with crayz moves and no one can beat then it's crazy , his moves are easily broken and all he does it copy other moves.Always copy that's it, even trying to open the gate of pefection pinnacle is a copy of his dad, jesus please learn something new like invent another gate or three gates combine , somethin glike tezuka 2 gates combine u know, or fuji with final counter. dont' you guys agree/ I think my deductions makes perfect sense without favouring too much on echizen, I belive echizen will beat them eventually but now? come on a kid beating all the 3rd years? what's the point of the anime? hahaha then maybe even kintarou is better than fuji tezuka sanada atobe and yukimura? hahah lolz it just goes against logic.

and one more reply if Echizen gets the national victory for Seigaku this year, then it's pointless for next year, no more tezuka nor fuji, and echizen will end in a tragic like nanjiroh with only one super strong player and the others lose. This national can be a lesson to teach him, then next he can train others like tezuka train him or something or somehow try to get the national title would makes more sense other s team will lose their captiains nad strong playres too. hey wouldnt' it be crazy after tezuka beats ykimura and fuji beats sanada and then they all go against chitose and kintarou and then chitose reveals that he wasn't 100% serious with tezuka 's match? or has a new team member that's as strong as yukimura and tezuka's level? and after that they create a world tournament for junior high just for this year? to see how it would turn out? and then tezuka fuji echizen goes. and another team would be yukimura sanada and atobe? woulnd't that be wild? hahah anywasy that's just a wish after. but Tezuka and Yukimura i had that dream since the anime was out when tezuka and yukimura were both in the hospital and sanada said that we iwill have yukimura at the national and oishi said we'll have tezuka by then. since then that's all I've dream to watch of cause obviously tezuka is above any others and even sanada, sanada lost to echizen? and if he wins tezuka that means all this time tezuka was underneath echizen's level. Anyways those are my deductions.

wow horrible hypothesis.

do you know why Fuji had problems with Kirihara? because unlike some other people Fuji likes to toy with people.

Okay, sorry Prince of Tennis master.

I bet you also think Fuji is better than Shiraishi. Give me a break. Another Fuji fan, what else is new.

-Tezuka IS better than Fuji
-Sanada will not obtain any pinnacles because you say so? Wow okay.

Just so you know, there is a 15-25% chance Sanada will get PoP, and a 65-75% chance Yukimura will get PoP based on my observations.

If you knew anything about my past theory's, I have not been wrong. I said Renji will win 6-1 showing only the end of the match, Sanada will win 6-0 showing only a glimpse of the beginning of the match. I also gave a list of things that could happen with Ryoma and Kintarou and said that it will most likely be a tie. What do you know? I was right.

Fuji beat Sanada in Kantou? Don't make me laugh. Echizen was the only one who could possibly do it because he is the main character and the story is about his growth. What would Fuji have done? use those leet counters? A tsubame gaishi perhaps? or a whopping higuma otoshi? or how about hakugei? Shiraishi showed us how good they did.

While Fuji would be trying to "Play at Sanada's level" He would realize how he can't because he IS NOT AT HIS LEVEL and he will just get raped like how he did with the first 5 games against Shiraishi.

******This is all without Sanada going into SoSA.*******

So before you gun down other people's Theory's acting like you are somehow intelligent because of your opinions, think first.

hahah sanada is a loser haha lost to a kid? hahahaha lost to a 12 year old kid hahahah that's just plain sadness, Sanada better than Fuji? lolz I never think so, hahah you are just too naive, it sounds like Echizen is better than Fuji already is what you are implying. You really need to watch the anime more anyways, so you are saying echizen will battle yukimura? haah to be honest, all the matches so far, I have not misread the ending even once, I knew all the possiblity of who would of won and have an idea how the author works. The way you are saying things just doesnt' make sense ahahhaha you can ask the whole forum is fuji that bad? hahah triple counters? i think it's 8 counters he has now, triple coutns plus upgrades which are 6 and fourth coutner and fifth counter the genius. Well I'm not a Fuji Fan but Tezuka Fan sorry if you can't tell from my previous post. And by the way there Sanada Fan. your sanada lost to a KID hahaha at least fuji nor tezuka yet lost to a KIDDDD...... hahahahah JOKES that's just a Plain Joke. Oh Ya Tezuka Beated Echizen before. and in the anime he beated Echizen 3 times, one was to improve him, second was a 3 point warm up game before atobe and 3rd was before he left. So sorry sanada boy , Sanada just doesn't have what it takes to be top, he's already under yukimura whether you agree or not. If sanada is on top of fuji, wouldn't that means he's on top o f atobe since atobe doesn't have the self activation? atobe still battle evenly with echizen. just because sanada had the self activation and those wind fire moves doesnt' mean he'll win fuji. lolz everyone can tell the stronger the opponent fuji faces the more he evolves. Well during the game shiraishi beat Fuji, I didn't said Fuji should win that game but if fuji had more formidable opponents liek sanada or atobe or tezuka before that match , definitely he'll win shiraishi.

and one mroe thing you got another poste wrong with me, i never said sanada will not obtain the pinnacle , that was someone else's poste even if sanada obtains it doesnt' mean he'll be top. Sanada will always be Yukimura's dog just like kabaji to atobe , it's like that.... and sorry for the bad words i use but it's just being straight out. I'm not sayimg I'm smart. All I'm saying is that I think Tezuka Should Face Yukimura, don't you guys agree? since those two are considered TOP, why would echizen face yukimura? then what's the whole point of tezuka? tezuka facing sanada doesnt' make any sense, if tezuka wins sanada, it's an obvious win since he beat echizen and has two pinnacle and is super strong. but if he loses then it's even mroe ridiculous because he should just go home and sleep what's the point of playing a person who lost to echizen? I'm just being honest and eveyr opinion i put up are based on logic. I'll say once again, I'm not saying I'm smart I just hope you guys see my view that strongest should fight strongest wouldn't that be intense? anyways I'm sorry if I offended anyone but the person who said sanada can't get pinnacle was another person, I dont' care whether he does or not and I think Fuji might get to that point next game if he plays singles and against Sanada, I assure you , FUJI WON"T LOSE again.

hahah oh smokes I read the wrong msg I thought you were replpying to me. anwyays sorry about that hahahaha well I think sanada and tezuka would be a good match because they are both serious but we all know tezuka has the upperhand and 99% he'll win so rather we watch tezuka vs yukimura, wouldn't you guys agree if we put kintarou in 3rd singles vs echizen and fuji vs sanada then, wow wouldn't that be magnificent everyone would want ot know who wins.

Tieuson, I think it'd be better if you read the manga and not watched the anime to make your hypotheses since there are sometimes BIG differences. And plus, I'm sorry, but your hypotheses are so long-winded that most people wouldn't bother reading all of it, and it's kind of hard to understand. Could you please shorten it down or something? You know, maybe just one long post instead of THREE?!?! (sorry)

lolz you guys are right, but the more i poste the better isn't it? to live up this place, yes I understand that my poste are hard to understand because it's grammatically incorrect. I keep on using run on sentences because I only spend 1 minute for one poste. Anyways I just think tha Tezuka is the best and Yukimura is his only rival. lets see if my prediction is right, tezuka nad yukimura can battle each other , they don't have to be in singles one, they can be in singles 3 like the match with fuji and shiraishi. something of that nature.

Hey guys, do you know when the next chapter is out? doesn't have to be subbed, even raw is fine. I really want to know because it's so thrilling, I'm just waiting for the list of the matches. Hope tezuka nad yukimura will face each other and at the start too, inorder to heat up the events. I'm new to this forum so I don't know how long they usually poste up the new chapter for POT. thanks.

Here are my two cents on the chapter and a small match up prediction. I like that the match was a draw because I think the last match of the series should be between Kintarou and Ryoma in a full blown set (or if Konomi really wants to impress me he'll make is a real professional match and have it be best 3 out of 5 sets). For the next chapter I think the match ups will be (this is all really based of my own super wishful thinking):

S3 Tezuka vs Akaya (This is just wishful thinking on my part I want my whole God vs Devil thing to happen)
D2 Inui/Kaidou vs Renji/Yagyuu (Yagyuu and Kaidou going at it seems cool since they had that whole thing during the pre-nationals and Inui and Renji are rivals)
S2 Fuji vs Sanada (I want to see the Super 5 counters vs Sanada's 5 elements, assuming thunder is his new element)
D1 Golden Pair vs Niou/Marui (I think this because I think it would be really awesome)
S1 Ryoma vs Yukimura (this is inevitable regardless of what people's opinions are IMO)

Those are what I want to see lol.

Oh, uh, hi, I'm kinda new here, so I hope I don't annoy anyone (one the first day).

Well, I think that regardless how the match-ups of the others gonna be, it will look kinda like this:

Single 1: Tezuka vs. Yukimura
+Reason: This was like....destined to be, I mean like...they promised to go all-out with each others at the beginning of the National Tournament. Also, because there was also the one thing about Muga no Kyouchi. Well, beside Chitose, we all know that Tezuka and Yukimura (and Sanada) was famous for their Muga no Kyouchi. I'm not saying that these guys are not famous for their original skills, it just that they're known Muga no Kyouchi users. Anyway, I'm thinking that this one match is sort of unavoidable (well I don't know, the author may pull the trigger at the last moment). Also, because the two seemed more adult-like than the rest of the players, so it kinda matched.
Single 2: Fuji vs. Sanada
+Not so sure here, but from the way I see it, this would appropriate (considered what I thought about the Single 3). Well, Fuji might beat Sanada thus draw out his Muga no Kyouchi (maybe). Or it could go another way, Sanada smack Fuji thus shatter his title of "invincible" (it was only broken after Shirashi match). Maybe it could end up like this: the two both approach the net then swing their rackets at the ball which will result a double smack down, thus the match is canceled (Chance of happening: 0%).
Single 3: Echizen vs. Kirihara
+Well, both are considered somewhat like "growing genius", so it would fit to have a match of the two. Well, they've crossed path before, but this time we may see what their true potentials are capaple of (Devils Kirihara vs Echizen's unstable Teni Muhou no Kiwami) It would be interesting to see two arrogant and immature (maybe) players smacking each others. We may get to see how Echizen "splits" Kirihara to half, or how Kirihara beats Echizen into a bloody skin sack.]
*We all know that the author kinda favored Echizen so I won't get my hopes high on his opponents.*

That's it! That's what I think! Tell me what you guys think about this.

My Estimation.

Singles 1: Echizen vs Yukimura (Echizen win)

Being "Prince of Tennis" is about Echizen and his growth, he is always fighting the strongest on all of the teams. Tezuka will not take that spotlight away from him(as seen with Atobe) Echizen will most likely start losing, Yukimura brings out PoP, Echizen fights back unlocking his own PoP. (Chance of happening: 55-65%)

Singles 2: Tezuka vs Sanada (Sanada win)

The main reason I am saying Tezuka instead of Fuji is because right now Tezuka is the only one besides Echizen who can handle Sanada. Judging from how he was not represented showing us what he can do (Besides Thunder) against Nagoya, shows that he will have the spotlight in the Finals. If I am correct, Sanada's growth will be too much for Fuji. My estimation is that Tezuka starts beating Sanada with his 2 mugas, then nearly the end of the match Sanada gets PoP and defeats Tezuka. (Chance of happening: 15-25%) *This match would be so beast >_<;*

Singles 3: Fuji vs Kirihara (Fuji win)

Although this would be a rematch, I think the angel vs devil will come up again. Fuji and Kirihara both improved a great deal since Kantou. However Kirihara improved so much, He is at Fuji's level now in the nationals. Now that Fuji has nothing against Kirihara, it will be much harder for him to win.

Doubles 2: Renji/Yagyuu vs Inui/Kaidoh (Renji/Yagyuu win)

Friends against Friends. Being Renji didn't get the spotlight in the Nagoya match, he will most likely win in the finals.

Doubles 1: Niou/Jackal vs Golden Pair (Golden Pair win)

Golden Pair finally must win a game >_>

Singles 3: Seigaku
Doubles 2: Rikkaidai
Singles 2: Rikkaidai
Doubles 1: Seigaku
Singles 1: Seigaku

Seigaku wins: 3-2

I normally would be agree with Fayte because I don´t like Fuji but I don´t think that Sanada will get the strongest technique of the main character before him or ever.
My prediction:

S3:Echizen vs Kirihara - Echizen wins.
D2:Inui/Kaidoh vs Renji/Jackal -Rikkaidai wins.
S2:Fuji vs Sanada - No game.
D1:Eiji/Oishi vs Yagyuu/Niou - Seigaku wins.
S1:Tezuka vs Yukimura - Yukimura wins.

Scene
Momo is in the hospital with Taka because they don´t want to let him alone.
Seigaku asks if they can put a player who already played.
Rikkadai say yes but they should be able to put a player who already played too.
Last Match:

Yukimura vs Ryoma -Ryoma wins

A bit impossible but I like it:eyeroll
Sorry for the bad English:darn

Do you honestly think Fuji would be able to make a tie with Sanada? The only way a Tie could happen is if "Both" players are unable to continue. There is no possible way Fuji would ever in his life make Sanada unable to play. Sanada making Fuji unable to play is highly possible, but not the other way around.

So in my opinion, I highly doubt there will be any "No games" in the finals, since the only one who does that is Kawamura and another power player. Fuji has no physical strength what-so-ever. He is a technician, not a power player. Sanada on the other hand has alot of power in his shots. I don't think it was ever emphasized in the manga but in the anime they said Sanada's normal hit was like kawamura's regular Hadoukyuu in power. Then again thats the anime. I do believe that however only because of that time Kirihara tried to do Sanada's "Fire" and couldn't because he wasn't strong enough.

I don't quite understand why Sanada would ever beat tezuka when he lost to echizen? lolz, then there's no point in echizen beating tezuka basically? and Fuji will win sanada if they battle, I think after the lost from shiraishi , fuji has advance, and if tezuka battles yukimura , Tezuka will definitely win. all we can do is wait to see the orders first... so let's see who's prediction will be right and how the ending will be. Sanada is strong, but let me say something he lost to echizen and would of lost to atobe if yukimura didnt' stop the match, and that atobe would lose to tezuka if he faced tezuka instead of echizen because the world of ice was broken when tezuka zone or nanjiroh zone was used.

Well, I get what you're saying. I know Sanada is GREAT. He is even called the emperor. But I think that you're not giving Fuji enough credit for his abilities. Sure he lost his last match but I think its due to the fact that he used his trump card too much until it was finally broken. His newly improved counters worked, didn't they? I think if he had used Hakuryuu instead as his last shot , he would have won since the opponent wasn't used to it yet. Sanada is a great player with speed, power, technique and he also has Muga but he isn't the unbeatable. I think that you're just too big a fan of him to admit that he isn't invincible. And in your scenario, I think that Sanada wouldn't be able to beat Tezuka. You said that Sanada has a lot of power. Powerful shots are no match for the Pinnacle of Hard Work. Tezuka already has 2 pinnacles while Sanada has yet to show even one but maybe he does have one. I'd rather think that Seigaku will lose both doubles than have Tezuka beaten by Sanada. I think most will agree on the last part.

Its not me underestimating Fuji, it is you underestimating Sanada. We have already seen Fuji grow in the Nationals. He will not get better. However we have yet to see Sanada's growth. You do not realize it, but you are thinking of Kantou Sanada going up against Nationals Fuji. You have yet to see Nationals Sanada so you do not have a true basis for thinking.

Being that Sanada was already better than Fuji in Kantou, he will most likely "Still" be better in the Nationals. Its not like Fuji improved so much and Sanada didn't (Although alot of people's logic suggests this)

If Konomi knows what he is doing, He would not make Sanada go up against somebody like Fuji who is not at his level. Even if he did, Fuji would only lose again, and I don't think that is the case. Being that Tezuka already won against Chitose, It leaves him most vulnerable for a loss in the finals.

I am not saying Sanada is really strong because he is my favorite character, I am saying this because I know the PoT characters, and Konomi's mindset well.

I'm seeing a lot of Fuji and Sanada "conflicts" running around recently. I just thought about this! Maybe Seigaku will lose doubles (due to some injuries or other reasons). I'm 90% sure that Tezuka is playing Yukimura, and the other match will be set up to be some sort of "replay" which will lead to Echizen vs. Sanada (again), Fuji vs. Kirihara (again). This may sound kinda dumb, but think about it: Tezuka vs. Kirihara => pointless, it's just simply illogical to set it up that way (Tezuka is like....world stronger than Kirihara), Echizen vs. Yukimura (Ochibi gonna win, why? Because he is the prince => wow, he has too much light here, which is really ridiculous), and Fuji vs. Sanada will make no sense at all: (we know that Seigaku "sprouts" new stuffd for every match they play) what? Fuji lose again? This will make a crap out of my face! And if they let Sanada lose! That will make a crap out of my face too! These two just can't lose to each other for their battle will be somewhat pointless. Asume that we switch the places of Echizen and Tezuka around, this will just leave Fuji vs. Sanada match again. I say this doesn't work, and is not going to work now and then, unless Fuji sprout some Mugas. So, what I'm trying to say is Muga player against Muga player, non-Muga player against non-Muga player, that's make some sense (to me). If Echizen is set to play with Yukimura, then I'm gonna freak out (I know Echizen got the Teni Muhou no Kiwami [the unstable one I should say] but winning against Yukimura will make him seems too good, a little unbalance there). It should be note that Tezuka promised to play against Yukimura at the beginning of the National arc.

All right:
Tezuka vs. Yukimura
Echizen vs. Sanada
Fuji vs. Kirihara

That's what I think! Tell me what you all think about this! (No one know their mistake until someone point it out you know, and by no one, I meant me).

I would agree with you but there is 1 thing. If they were to have rematches, all the people who previously won, will have to lose. If they don't then it would be retarded.

So Sanada and Kirihara win. That would mean both Rikkaidai doubles would have to lose. It would just be the exact opposite of the first Rikkaidai vs Seigaku.

Also, having the deciding factor be Tezuka isn't what PoT is all about. (besides the fact it already happened in shitenhouji's match) In every other match, Ryoma was the one who always carried the teams win. (hence why he is the "Pillar of support")

I'm just not sure about Tezuka having the spotlight, in the finals no less.

Hmm....you're right. Sanada would have grown. I'm just wondering though.....How come Fuji was the one that noticed that Ryoma used the Pinnacle of Perfection when it is claimed that no else was able to reach it yet except Nanjirou? He also seems too knowledgeable of Muga when he is depicted as someone who haven't achieved it. Dunno.Maybe this is just wishful thinking but maybe Fuji is keeping us in the dark about his true abilities. Wishful thinking......Don't mind me.=P

Well Fuji only "saw" Echizen do something that he never seen before. So naturally one would think pinnacle of perfection. However the next page shows us that Fuji was wrong, when Nanjirou states "No."

ah it's hard to predict what'll happened because sometimes the author make unexpected thing like when tezuka play double with inui (it wasn't that much double in fact:notrust )
and fuji vs sanada's talk who knows maybe fuji isn't going to play against sanada or akaya maybe he'll play against some one we don't think about !!!!!!

anyway we hope to read exciting chapters :)

S3: Kaido vs. Jackal
My guess is the return of the stamina game.

D2: Golden Pair vs. Trickster & Bunta
The golden pair's revival w/ a healed Oishi versus Rikkai's most unpredictable players.

S2: Tezuka vs. Kirihara or Fuji vs. Sanada
Kirihara gets his long awaited match.

D1: Fuji/Inui vs. Gentelmen/Sanada
I think the awakened Fuji that we had a small glipse of will come alive in this match. The two tacticians will play to their partner's strengths. But Fuji is going to open an ENTIRELY different door and surprise everyone. Something unheard of. Yes I'm a fanboy of his, but I think he'll do something crazy to win this one.

S1: Echizen vs. Yukimura
It's like a prophecy that this happens. Kin-chan is goign to be screaming like mad and give Echizen power during the match. And Yukimura is going to be SCARY SCARY!!!

The other option is that Tezuka looses to Yukimura after Echizen wins versus somebody else. And Echizen is so tempted that he challenges Yukimura. Meanwhile, I hope the next two chapters are entertaining and some insight from Samuri Nanjiro.

This Should Be THe Orders!!!

S1. Tezuka Buchuo Vs Yukimura Buchuo
S2. Fuji Tensai Vs Sanada Emporer
S3. Echizen Ryoma Vs Kintaro or Akaya whichever.
well as long as the first singles 1 and 2 is what I predict then it's good. that's all I care, echizen can be the ruler of the world if the author puts him there. The real skillz is in tezuka , fuji , yukimura, sanada, atobe and nanjiroh. I always think that Nanjiroh is a lucky bastard because during his era there might not be anyone as strong as tezuka fuji, atobe etc... hahah unlike echizen. About how the author thinks, you guys are right, he sure makes unpredicted orders and storyline, but one thing, he set us all up into thinking tezuka will face yukimura... and if that doens't happen then all I can say, is this anime was a waste, And my two year of following it was all in vain. To be honest I htink the best match so far in this anime was tezuka vs fuji, the made up one, or tezuka vs atobe, those were the matches that made me shock or worth watching. Tezuka vs chitose was just ownage hahahha any other matches were pointless, sanada losing to echizen? oh my god that was just sadness. Fuji vs shiraishi was a good match, but all i can say abou thtat match is lets look at shiraishi side, he didn't came up with anything, his move was broken, and all he did was counter fuji's final counter that's it. Usually, when someone win's it's etiher the determination, strenght, skillz or moves, but shiraishi and fuji, haha that match just showed no matter how strong or smart you are, when you have to lsoe, you'll lose because the author said so... lolz

and let me ask all of you one single question, do you guys think at this point, Echizen is Stronger than Tezuka? hahaha if yes then that's pretty dumb, hahah sorry to be direct, but for me tezuka is now the strongest so he should face yukimura? right? why downgrade himself with a match with sanada? even if he wins doesnt' mean he's better than yukimura? and if he lose it's even worst.. I guess you guys are echizen's fan, but for atobe to lose to echizen and sanada and now even yukimura, hahahaha then all those 3rd years just go home and sleep losing to a freshman. then tezuka still has the advantage because only TEZUKA beats echizen.... even though we see echizen improves, but tezuka also improves.... before tezuka told echizen to become the pillar of support, but come on , now tezuka is healed, tezuka should grab the national champions in his own hands...

Just like before, when chitose came out, you guys were all fond of him and said he was strong, hahaha and look? he was owned like a dead duck by tezuka, chitose sanada and yukimura were counsidered almost same ranking hahaha tezuka has advantage... remember when sanada said only he and chitose and yukimura can go muga? hahah how about tezuka? haha sanada's talking were pointless...

One thing i don't understand is why you have so much faith that Sanada would be the one to improve out of all characters in the story except Echizen?

This guy comes in late in the entire series before the Nationals, and somehow this guy with some yellow-colored jacket team just somehow 1) Will rip Fuji into shreds and 2) Defeat Tezuka.

I'm sorry if your guesses come correct I have nothing else to say, but this is some crap thinking of the author. Why the hell should he give such improvement to some guy who is just seriously in my opinion- "who cares". And the PoP thing with Sanada, thats even more crap. Why should we give this herald power to some seriously in my opinion i just an off-side character. He has no witty personality such as Atobe or like Kintarou, worth having, really he's just mello and has this "great power".

All in all, i think its stupid to give him victories over really good players, say he will crush certain players, and give him the greatest ability of the whole series.

I agree with you here buddy, and thanks for pinpointing out everything, why the hell would sanada be able to beat tezuka? or own fuji? hahahah he's just a dog for yukimura... even yukimura himself might not own fuji, PoP haha tezuka kintaro or echizen should be gaining it or even fuji since fuji is smart and can learn fast, sanada? what does he have? no brain guy who lost to a freshman , even if he does improve, wont' be much.. not like tezuka two pinnacles plus zero shiki drop shot or fuji, triple counters evolve , fourth counter and final counter.

Are you Retarded?

are you referring to me? sanada friend? can you look at the whole post, does anyone disagree with my opinion? only you do, because something is wrong with you... I asked you a simple question, do you think echizen already overcome tezuka? does echizen has any pinnacles yet? if not why the hell would he have the right to face yukimura? tezuka vs sanada? hahahah that's hilarious, tell me what's the point of that match? for sanada to win to be cool? what if tezuka wins? does that make tezuka any cooler? nahhhh , a match not even worth watching, it's like you ask sanada to play akaya, not even worth watching.... anyways Of all my post so far no one disagrees with me because everyone knows the strongest should fight the strongest, tezuka vs yukimura, fuji vs sanada, echizen bench should be good. that's the right order and if author makes tezuka bench then wat would u say? hahaha and if the matches arent' like this? let me say one more thing, do you know what does it mean when echizen beats yukimura? no eh,,, i bet you never think of this because you are too ignorant. let me tell u this something u never thought of. Yukimura was last years' champ and was singles 1 , meaning he is best in the nation , best in j apan and the year before i don't know if he was singles 1 or not but they won too. so basically if u talk about rank, yukimura is even higher than tezuka, because yukimura was top of japan, and if echizen faces him and beats him then echizen never has to play with tezuka fuji sanada nor shiraishi or kintaro again. or even chitose, just one match shows that he's the best? wow so lucky, why won't this match be for tezuka? which makes more sense.

All in all, i think its stupid to give him victories over really good players, say he will crush certain players, and give him the greatest ability of the whole series.

Why? I'll tell you why. He was the strongest opponent in the entire series in Kantou. You said "why give Sanada the greatest move in the series". Do you not recall him having the "old" greatest technique? SoSA? Yukimura, Chitose, and Sanada. They were the first 3 to get SoSA.

Back then, we all thought SoSA was the greatest up until Chitose mentioned the 3 doors.

SoSA Users(in order from when they got it):

1st- Yukimura/Chitose/Sanada/Tezuka
2nd- Echizen
3rd- Kirihara

If Sanada had the strongest technique of "Then"(SoSA), AND was the first to have it no less, Why wouldn't he be a candidate to have the strongest technique of "Now"?(PoP) The reason Sanada was purposely made so strong was so the main character could grow. If every other character improved so much from Kantou to the Nationals, Sanada would improve just as much. Being Sanada was the main focus in the Kantou Finals, and he lost, this suggests he has something big going down in the finals of the Nationals.

I am not saying any of this because Sanada is my favorite character. I am saying this because I have been observing the situations and the scenarios of each match since the Kantou tournament and comparing them to the Nationals.

First of all, I think you have no thought process what so ever in every single one of your "Triple Posts". You are just another Fuji fan that thinks Fuji is the greatest thing since sliced bread. NEWS FLASH! He got dominated in the first round of the semi-finals.

Secondly, Sanada got beat by a freshman that is THE MAIN CHARACTER. Are you seriously this dense? Sanada HAD TO lose to show THE MAIN CHARACTER'S "IMPROVEMENT" (Let me make that word clear in your mind)

Third, You are acting as if Yukimura is already the greatest tennis player, WITHOUT EVEN SEEING HIM PLAY. Ignorance.

-Read the manga, Watch the anime, think, don't triple post. What great skills can teach you.

Everything I say is a "Theory". Stop acting like you know facts when you obviously don't.

okay there little kid, hahah sanada's little dog, sanada's yukimura dog and now you are his dog, hahah think before you talk, I said I am only tezuka's fan, now grow up, hahahah look at you and the way you talk, all you talk is about Fuji? i said Fuji should fight sanada, hahah but that's not the point, my whole point is Fuji is smarter than sanada that's for sure ask the whole forum, Fuji is called genius, not because of some dragon ball technique muga comes out , era flies out? waht's that? tennis? hahahhaha anyways use your head man, I said tezuka shoudl fight yukimura, why the hell you change the topic to targeting fuji? can't find no weakness in tezuka during hte nationals little kid? haha what a loser, can't say anything bad about tezuka then pick on little fuji, if fuji haven't lost that match waht could u say? nothing eh u little kid, what a sore loser, what's wrong with losing anyways I bet every mature people here agrees that losing is the best way to improve. thus fuji improves while he was losing and for sure after. hahahah your theories are retarded man, you don't think of the story as a plot, you only look into characters, What did sanada do? why you give him so much credit? how you know he improves? and yukimura is not the best ? last year rikkai won the cham dimwit and Yukimura is S1. oh my gosh ask the whole forum haha doesn't that make him best in japan since their school is first and he's first in the school? grow up man, think more wisely, so far what have you seen of Sanada? wind fire, muga? hahah and lost to a kid? main character so what? i don't see tezuka losing to echizen? Let me say one more thing u read the manga, u should know , even atobe would won sanada like Yukimura said to sanada eh? and atobe is obviously under tezuka and trying to catch up to tezuka why would he watch tezuka's match and hope and pray to play tezuka so much? Grow up man, look at the wide view, all you do is pick on little fuji, I think fuji is a genius and is really smart doesn't mean I'm his fan , read all my poste, I said the strongest should vs strongest, tezuka vs yukimura and that's the whole point i watch this anime, I'm a tezuka fan, so what you have to say for tezuka? nothing eh? guess nottttt.... cause tezuka haven't lost to a kid yet.... there's no point of this argument, look at all your post man ppl reply and argue with you, no one except for u argues with me... you should rethink it clearly in your head.

and about triple post or quatriple post doesn't matter, look and get a life, I'm new to this forum just sharing my opinion and all you do is call people retard , not even well mannered, grow up LOSER, hahaha you know who you fit? you fit the role of no one in prine of tennis because no low lives like you... hhahah I'm just here giving my opinion that's it not saying anyone stupid or dumb, and look at you hhahah sanada's dog... bite me for his rep? ask the whole forum man, if people really think sanada should be the strongest then they'd argue back to me, everyone knows in their heart Yukimura is stronger than sanada, why don't you hope sanada will one day beat yukimura, that's what yhou should be aiming for if you are his fan... see I have to teach you everything and teach you how to think... because you are just empty.... even if Sanada b eats tezuka, fuji or whatever, he lsot to echizen hahaha and he is under yukimura, a guy like that? why would you support him, you are a weak character in real life that's hwy you support such a weak character who has no potential of becoming number 1, in this anime, Tezuka has potential to become number 1, Yukimura is Top in ranking, Echizen has potential because the author says so, and Fuji definitely has more potential than Sanada , why? not because I favour fuji but because we seen so much matches of Fuji, man grow up.. we only see a match of sanada against echizen and one with atobe almost losing... Atobe had no muga for god sakes and would of won sanada , fuji doesnt' even neccessarily need muga even though I think he'll achieve something liek that or something new... see you never thought of all these points eh? facts? yes they are facts because I got them from the manga man... I'm not makin gup stuff and sa ying my beliefs I'm saying what the author is leading the smart characters to think of and these are all logics with back ups..

Tieuson, for someone who is supposedly 24, you're making a lot of childish assumptions about people on a forum. There's certain forum etiqutte about double and triple posting, that's why there's an edit button. Unless you've just discovered the internet a couple days ago and are brand new to forum posting, yeah, it could slide. But you've been asked and asked enough by forum members to stop the double and triple posting.

Second, your posts are in such a disarray, people won't even bother reading them. Please, if you know a bit of simple grammar, just punctuate correctly and break up your blocks of text. Seriously, it's gotten old and you just need to use the edit button.

Anyway, I'm hoping the next chapter will show some Nanjirou. I'd like to see what he'd teach to Ryoma, especially since it's going to be 99% related to PoP.

Tieuson it is pretty hard to listen to anything that you have to post here, mainly because of your inconsistant info. Fayte obviously has some of the most knowledge here and you are in the ranks of new pot fan. How can you flip and flop from manga to anime and not mention that Echizen beat Tezuka too (in the anime, he flew back for that match, it was the last episode)?! That was supposedly Tezuka going all out (for the anime that is, and the OAV is another discussion)! Sanada is a beast! Tezuka is a beast! Yukimura seems to be a beast! Echizen is the main character and Fugi is a player with natural abilities that far surpass the norm... I just think that you should read all of the manga and watch all of the episodes.

I personally agree with Fayte on Sanada's skills having greatly improved like everyone else's.

I think the whole fact that he would probably have been beaten by Atobe in that unofficial match made everyone think he was weak. But, it is Atobe we are talking about. Atobe has always had his super aura of greatness (I'm probably over estimating Atobe too cause I think of him as the best character) and he also had Koori no Sekai, a move that seemed only beatable by Tezuka/Nanjirou zone.

Also, I can imgine that after Sanada was told by Yukimura that he wouldve been beaten that he would have trained his ass off to retake his position of being able to beat Atobe (though it remains to be seen if he can still beat Atobe). Also, we've only seen Sanada use a little bit of Muga no Kyouchi in the last game against Ryoma and it brings to question about if Ryoma still would've won had Sanada gone all out from the beginning.

So, currently Sanada must be a lot better than of what we saw of him last. I do think Fuji has gotten really good and I think he could have a good match against Sanada, but in the end I think Sanada will win. Though I still want to see Fuji's counters vs Sanada's Elements.

On another topic. I really really want to see a full powered and improved Golden Pair. If Oishi is healed (and hopefully has some new shots) and Kikumaru now has great stamina, they are going to be beastly. Also, hopefully they can go into Synchro at will.

anyhow, hopefull the new chapter will be out later today so I can translate...

You are completely right about Atobe! To be one of his pawns would be an honor... I have been thinking alot though, if characters were split all up into teams of 7, what would be the best way to make 4 teams?! Balance of power that is? Anyone?!

and? my pionts are right? sanada woudl lost ot atobe? why are u guys stillt rying to talk? basically sanadsa is under atobe at that situation before national, and of course under tezuka? u guys sya sananda can imrpove? atobe cant? after he lost the match to echizen? atobe can improve too, and tezuka can improve even further after he won chitose, who knows? things u guys are saying, are just predictions... not facts, I'm using facts from the stories, and about the tezuka vs echizen match, everyone in here knows that match wasn't real it was made up just like tezuka vs fuji because the author wanted to end the series due to some difficulties with the company or whatever... that's hwy I never mentioned that match, psyclone smash? there's no scuh thing as a psyclone smash in the manga and it shoudl be called cool drive and make it like that, basically they replaced it. Did you see tezuka use his PoHW? guess not . that's my point man. and this is more fun see it's getting lively, then all my plan worked, yo fayte I'm sorry about everything but it was all my plan to set up so people can poste more of their opinions ahhahahahah and it worked . tahts' why i kept mentioning eveyrone in the forum, as long as people are replying this forum is lively niceeee... well my best charcter is Tezuka, and he will own everyone , so let's hope he face yukimura..... Sandaa elements vs fuji's counters.... I dont' think fuji will lose a second time.... and if tezuka loses a second time oh my gosh then that' sthe saddest thing that can happen.... you guys know why i dont' support echizen as much? because he's just a main character that the author made up and after making up tezuka nad fuji sandaa atobe all those cool characters, I never even payed attention to Echizen's match no more, because if echizen does beat any of them, that's just pure sadness a kid beating u? don't u guys agree?

Hey guys I have one thing to talk about... instead of debating who is stronger in POT we can't tell unless the match occurs, let's talk about attitude? I think tezuka has the best attitude because he's always serious and sincere... tries his best and always try to develop his teammates.... so he is the best..... Atobe should be under him because atobe is super cool and confident like a diva.. doesn't atob'es confident and style reminds you guys of another crazy character? NANJIROH guys hahaha same style , nanjiroh played like atobe when he first started tennis, go all out and use brute force. I'm talking about the atobe in the tezuka 's match not later on when he improved. Then third should be Yukimura, like the natural cherry blossom and wind, so down to earth and relaxing like a water drop.... all three has great characteristics. Sanada? definitely cool, strong . tough and rough... but it's like another version of tezuka but more manly and strive for power more... doesn't act like tezuka and tries to develop his own teammaters. that's why he wasn't in the ranking.. Fuji? like a breeze , gentle and always relaxed, this allows him to think of new counters and think of more strategies, tahts' why there are weakeness and strength to him, he doesn't try as hard as tezuka so he can't be as good, but he relax alot and allows him time to think of new moves. Remember when Nanjiroh created the nitoryuu? the coach said that only top pros does that to overcome their barrier. and we see that a lot in fuji.... By the way, to be honest, the zero shiki serve with tezuka? I thought of that since the match he fought with atobe, hahah that was like more than 2 years ago/ hahahaha sweet, but one thing tezuka is missing... a strong smash... anyways what do you guys think?

Everybody on these forums are obviously siding with you on every post you make, so I shouldn't bother trying to argue with somebody with your level of cunning. Good to have everyone back to normal, and just to clear myself from looking like an idiot, I did know that echizen didn't win against Tezuka in the manga, I just didn't feel like getting into the flaw of the anime and the OAV... But the real thing I want to get out is the fact that I feel that SenGoku is so screwed with his team. Does anyone else think he would fit into another team better??? I just feel bad for him, because he is pretty good. I just don't know what team though...

Well, Sengoku is said to be a really good player, but honestly we haven't really seen enough of him to have me believe he is on par with the current level of play the characters. He is sure to have improved some since we saw him play Momoshiro, but other than that match we really haven't seen him. If he was to be transferred to another team, I think he would be a good choice for Fudoumine since 2 of their members (can't rememebr the names of them) seem to be basically useless and Sengoku would be a great addition to them.

EDIT: btw, assuming the chapter comes out tomorrow, I won't be able to translate till night since I'll be driving home to LA from SD and then I will be playing tennis myself lol. But if it does come out tomorrow, I will definitely have it translated by the night time (PST)

I am saying this because I have been observing the situations and the scenarios of each match since the Kantou tournament and comparing them to the Nationals.

true and all very true. But really if Tezuka loses, i think all hell will break lose, I mean its Tezuka, the only way he can lose if his injury magicaly reappears :]

I guess Sanada might be able to beat Fuji, but I wouldn't say its overdomination rather a neck-to-neck battle.

And Echizen, i believe he needs to play either Sanada or Yukimura, unless there is a International Tournament after this.

all-in-all. atobe wins. :]

In my opinion, I really don't think Fuji is at Sanada's level. Thats like saying Fuji is at Tezuka's level, which everybody would agree he is not. Fuji is at the level of Kirihara or Renji, but not Sanada or Yukimura. They are both at Tezuka's level.

Ok, here I come :P
I think you're right AND wrong. The point, here, is the way of presenting things. Let's rather say that Fuji has the potential to beat Sanada, while Sanada is much more likely to have a greater "known" strenght.

To me, and I have seen i'm not the only one, Fuji only lost to Shiraishi because he hadn't gone all out from the start, I mean he started to play seriously at about 5-0 ^^ And even though it's very likely too that Sanada wasn't at full power against Echizen at the Kantou, Fuji DOES looks like he has a greater potential (he kinda like doubled his skill between the 2 tournaments, right? ^^) while Sanada has reached his peak with the SoSa together with the FU RIN KA ZAN RAI thing (ok, ok, we don't know half of his techniques yet and he sure has gained another one, evolving too, but I can't see why he would have THE killer move in one of those, I mean it's more like Fuji's counters, moves to deal a specific shot or situation...)

If I had to rank Fuji, I would too place him very close to Sanada right under Tezuka followed by Yukimura (Echizen is out, since he's the hero he can win everyone if he and Konomi wants to^^), but because of his big potential it's very hard to get know his exact level... So I would go for a neck-to-neck battle, with 70% chance of Fuji losing.

About Yukimura, it's true we don't get to see his play, but you cannot reproach us to assume he's the greatest player in the series ! I mean, even Tezuka seems to acknowledge his strenght (and it's from the guy who slapped a 6-1 into the face of someone who was presented to us as one of the best tennis players in Japan, Chitose :P), and right from the start we knew that Rikkai would lose the Kantou Finals because Yukimura wasn't here. So all this time, Konomi had planned to turn him into a monster, with only Tezuka and maybe Echizen able to handle him. It's obvious.

What's more, before this semi-final I would have said too that Sanada was about as strong as Tezuka, but it's not possible anymore. The Tezuka right now is unbeatable. The slightest chance to see him lose is to put him in Singles 2 against Yukimura, and we know it won't happen because if it goes into a 5-set match Yukimura would be nowhere but in the Singles 1.
Well, now that I've said, why not?^^ Tezuka-Yuki in 2, then Echizen-Akaya in 1, for the gain of the match, both captains having agreed that we had to let the young ones to decide the victory and see who had grown more... The main argument on this one is the recent power up Akaya gained, making him look like a true Devil, and this match would look like a Good / Evil fight, very stupid to my mind but not impossible...

Its true that Fuji didn't take it seriously against Shiraishi at first, However he also got dominated at first. Remember Sanada toyed with Echizen and he was still winning. Imagine what he would have did if he tried.

In Kantou, Sanada was at Tezuka's level. Actually, better because of the injury Tezuka had. However, I think because everybody now thinks Tezuka is a god, Konomi might suprise us. If Tezuka and Sanada vs eachother, there may be a chance that Konomi might put Sanada on top. Its just an observation though. I have no proof of this.

Oh my god, Fayte, you're the first one to find it, thanks so much! Hopefully the RTS thread will show up soon. I didn't even come here to look for the RAW.

Anyway, Yuzo, the problem with your last post is that Sanada is a 3rd year, so Yukimura wouldn't consider Sanada a "Young One" to decide the victory vs. Echizen. I want it to be Sanada vs. Tezuka, and let Sanada at least prove that he's really strong, but there's still no way of him beating Tezuka. The only thing I've truly truly looked forward to for the past 3 months is Echizen vs. Yukimura, and Tezuka vs. Yukimura would be more of a consolation prize for me.

Also, I think that Fuji has a truly strong tennis, but I also think that even with the new moves, he's only the equivalent (or SLIGHTLY less that equivalent) of PoHW-Tezuka. Wisdom/Hard Work Tezuka is something that I think only Yukimura and Echizen could even try to win against, and I think Sanada will do well but that Tezuka will still be the clear winner. It is my personal opinion that Fuji is just a little bit stronger than non-evil-demon-mode Kirihara (I think the whole "not evil anymore" thing made him stronger by default, as this is a Shonen manga), and a little weaker than Sanada using Muga and all of his elements. However, if Sanada manages to group these with opening a door, I think he could combat Tezuka more equally (but still lose) and have a more clear victory over Fuji. This is obviously just speculation, but I think Yukimura has opened at least one door by the finals match.

Thanks again for the RAW, fayte!!

Edit: After looking at the chapter, I don't think it has anything to do with the order, just a celebration of getting into the final match (well, it's obvious that it's at LEAST that much, but it doesn't look like anyone is discussing the order at all), and I'm really interested in seeing what Oishi is talking about. Damn... I wish this manga would still be going on a year from now, after I've taken Japanese 1 and 2 so I can read the RAWs and explain these things more accurately!

Atobe fans rejoice, he's in a panel! (lol)

I'd like to give my real suggestion.. Sanada is no doubt stronger than fuji so far in the anime.. Stronger, but not smarter, I would say Fuji is the smartest guy in tthis anime... his tennis are real tennis. it's not like dragonball Muga lolz that's hilarious... what fuji tihnk of are moves to beat others... like what you would do in a real life situation... not go bankai and then muga hahaha... So that is why Fuji will have more potential and can beat sanada because if you think carefully sanada has muga already and fuji doesn't . Fuji still had a great battle with shiraishi.. And one more thing fuji lost not because he didn't go 100% from start. he did guys, he used all his counter even fourth and was broken... All you can say he just didn't went 120% at the start but rather near the end, he went beyond his limits and anyone. That match showed us he is better htan tezuka and sanada and yukimura when pushed to the corner, wow Improve all 3 counters plus final counter? come on guys who the hell evolves like that in a game>.. Fuji tensai.. you guys gotta admit he's dangerous!@!!!!!

Oh ya and I want to share my crazy opinion on tezuka, Guys I admire Tezuka because he's such a nice guy. He tried to raise echizen into the pillar of support plus surpass nanjiroh's barrier, he never thought of selfishly dominating echizen day and night. Tezuka is pure strenght and power. he chose his win in the atobe's match over his arm which teach us how passionate he is. and try to the very end. He teaches me many things in life. Confidence, Power, Smart, Effort, Determination and many more. You guys no what? the reason why Tezuka is so cool is because he is the clostest to nanjiroh? Nanjiroh Zone? tezuka zone? they both created it not knowing the other has it.. meaning they are both geniuses and are smart , think alike too. Zero shiki drop shot? wow magnificent... everything from the anime was good but in the manga, Muga Comes into play. it's like dragon ball, or bleach, or naruto , or one piece . level up? lolz ridiculous , even my friends laughed after seeing that. Before there was Fuji's triple counter, wow cool, tezuka zone and zero shiki. niceeee. Rondo towards distruction and tanhauser serve , brilliant, Inivisible swing and swerve, wickeddddd.... all acceptable until muga came to play, that is why shiraishi is cool because he play normal tennis ahhahaha. Tezuka has great personality and should be the best, he deserves the title of strongest man in the world. wow can't wait if the make another season of this to King of Tennis.. Tezuka grown up battles old nanjiroh, that would be great.... and about the raw chapter, I knew something liek that would happen, i said it might be nanjiroh teaching echizen but not orders coming out. it becamse eeven worst hahaha they just celebrate and that's it.... oh well it's like tension breaking.. relief comedy... Guess gotta wait for another month or weeks... oh ya i want to share my real life stories too. guys I've bene playing a game called street fighter vs xmen for 5 to 6 years. First 3 years i became the best in my area and was ignorant thought i would be the best in the world, until infinite combos came out and one guy merked me.... then i learn everyday and imrpove and beat him.... last dec there was a tournament for canada, I thought I wouldn't win so i trained my friends like tezuka , hahah and in the end... I did win beacuse I tried my best. everyone recogizned me and they offer me a ticket this summer to go to the states and battle the best in the states. I believe in strenght like tezuka and try hard, play seroius most of the time .... hope he will fight yukimura and win... then I will win this championship too.. oh ya the main reason I want to tell you guys is, no matter tezuka vs yukimura or sanada, or fuji vs sanada, whomever faces each other.... it will become luck... sometimes luck comes in to play tooo .... even in real life tennis, no one can dominate forever.... hey u guy sknow what? we havent' seen that little echizen losing to no one yet, other than tezuka and nanjiroh, echizen hasn't lost a public match yet... who knows, what if he loses in this final hahahah he'll be shock eh? or yukimura subs kintaro for kirahara/ hahahaha

... kinda have to lol at that, Tieuson. It's really amazing that you've practiced a street fighter vs. xmen game enough to win a canadian national competition of it and get invited to a US national competition of it. However... something like a fighting video game where you can beat the computer just by button mashing (however, I know that the true human-player experts could NEVER lose to a button-masher) can't interest me enough. If you want to talk about real life, then three sophomores and five seniors from my high school have been invited to the ACSL national programming competition this year (sophomores-intermediate division, seniors-senior division, since the juniors have to be in the senior division, they lost to our seniors) based on scores over a 4-part year long qualifying exam. I'm a sophomore, and I naturally wouldn't be telling you this if I wasn't one of those top 3. Programming is probably my future in life, and it's something I'm really interested in and dedicated to studying, so it coincides with your dedication to being the best at that video game. But for the most part, this makes me a Fuji kinda guy, because I have to be able to think quickly and intelligently about ways to combat problems in a realistic way to be a good programmer.

This was a strange chapter xD. I didn't really notice Atobe's hair myself, but now that I think about it, that is really screwed up. Either that's a wig, or Konomi was buzzed big time. This entire chapter was supposed to be a comedy, but I'm sure a few people, myself included, didn't get it because we don't know too much about Japanese culture, and the translator's notes weren't exactly clear to me on some of those things.

... bax, if you're gonna talk about PoT this chapter, at least realize that it's fried meat, not sushi! They're not at Kawamura's resaurant, they're at a Yakiniku resaurant! There is no rice, no seaweed, there probably isn't any wasabi in the entire building!

But anyway, I think the mangaka is just prolonging the end here. I love PoT, but this was 17 pages of nothing. (the first page was just a generic page within Jump, not the actual chapter) Also, like most things, we can usually tell when it'll be finished, so this whole Yakiniku thing will probably go either another full chapter or about halfway through the next one.

... and is two weeks from now golden week? If it is, that SUCKS, because there will be no chapter released next week, and we have to wait longer for lineups....

All I can hope for is that the mangaka will let the PoT crew live another year (in the series), but that hope never really stood a chance in the first place >>

I NEED PoT TO GO ON FOREVER! Like, all of Echizen's growth until he achieves a Grand Slam. Which, after he gets PoP, will take him all of a year.... There should at least be a volume worth of epilogue chapters with stuff like that....

Well, 7 pages of portraits will do that.

I always though you'd need PoP, at least, if you weren't Inui or Fuji. I guess we'll know for sure when the scan comes out.

I'm not sure, but it didn't seem like Chitose's SKnK did any good as it showed a scene of outside with a shouting speech bubble after he drank it. Wait, Inui's not immune to his own drink! Remember during the bowling incident? He tried to intentionally throw a gutterball so he'd only drink the small cup instead of the terrifying big jug (and made Ryuuzaki-sensei throw one instead XD). It even had a panel that had him thinking, "I myself can't drink that jug of Aozu!" and a box pointing to him saying "Maker of Aozu." XD And then there was the volleyball incident, which was HILARIOUS, but I'm not quite sure if he was trying to avoid the Silver Seat or the Iwashi Mizu. In any case, I'm not even sure if it was Inui who made it. That Kisarazu guy was the guy who first held it out, and Inui wasn't present during any of the drinking parts. In fact, he's only in there in the pages where there's a tiny pic of everyone arranged in strips according to what team they're on, and those 5 pages where everyone's seemingly introduced. Except there are 41 total people there and 30 in what we assume are the introductions...@.@ *confuzzled*

The only thing that we know for sure knocked Fuji out is the Aozu. I'm not sure about the Iwashi Mizu since it could've been the Silver Seat.

Yes, we confirmed that last chapter.

Oh, and reading over Athena8's summary (*hugs her for it*), apparently it was Inui's drink! And it seems Chitose didn't survive... ^^;;; Poor Chitose, his teammates forced it on him. Well the line about Saeki was implying something along the lines of "He's a very handsome man, but because he doesn't use his looks (to get the girls), they're wasted on him". So, with that translation, I don't think Yuushi has the hots for Saeki.

Im looking forard to seeing what happens when they start bringing out the Aozu and Akazu....If I remember correctly even Fuji can't handle that stuff. Also, I wonder how much Kabaji can eat, I mean he is a huge guy so he could probably eat like the whole grill at once.

Tenshi123
April 20, 2007, 04:16 PM
The Akazu was only in the anime, but yeah, even Fuji was knocked out by the Aozu. Maybe he's gotten over it? I dunno. Maybe Kabaji'll be able to absorb the drinks like he does everything else? I can't believe that fatty Tanishi (sorry to anyone who likes him) was able to down the drink! So are the only ones who are in Seigaku and Higa Chuu because they were the only ones to drink the drink? And about Saeki, okay, I get it, but you shoulda seen the comments on Athena8's summary. XDDD

Oh, wait, are all the schools still in because they did drink the drink even though they were knocked out? That means the teams without anyone who's immune can only eat like sixty plates though...

That would be kinda cool, but I would like to see Muga dudes all lined up facing each other and bursting out an enormous freaking aura while yelling (like Super Saiyans). Then meat pieces starting to fly around, thus cracking the floor, and smashing down the whole restaurant. Finally, the cops come and arrest them all and simply say: "Yeah kids! You can have your freaking Final in prison", thus made dudes shout out: "HELL NOOO!"

I am confused by the last part as well. I would guess that it means they are all out, but I don't know.

And It would be funny if at the end of all this, you see at the end Seigaku beats everybody, then you see the owner of the place is like "OHHHHHHHHHHH! Well, I have a feeling that this little side arc will end in with either the next chapter or the chapter after it....I'll kind of be happy when it does cause all the talk of meat is a pain to translate lol.

For the next chapter, with Higa Chuu out of the game they have to now catch up to Hyotei. I have a feeling it'll again go down to Seigaku vs Hyotei and that Ryoma and Tezuka will go Muga no Kyouchi, which spends a lot of energy, which, in turn, makes them hungrier, and win it with a copy of Tong Eating and super Muga no Kyouchi hunger.

After all the Yakiniku battle stuff, I still believe we will have a short training arc covering the 3 days before the finals showing Oishi being fully healed and getting ready for the Finals (hopefully with something more than just Moon Volley), maybe some stuff on Ryoma trying to master the true Ten'imuhou no Kiwami and maybe some other stuff involving them doing a one day training camp with Rokkaku Chuu again...though I think it would be cooler if they did it with Shitenhouji....

Hey John M.D,
Before I read PoT, I had zero clue about tennis. Well, not literally zero, but you know what I mean. Anyway, after reading a few chapters of PoT, I started to understand tennis a bit more (as they actually teach you some facts). Although the main character could get on your nerves sometimes, it is actually a manga worth reading IMO. Not only is it funny, but it also brings you into the world of tennis. I personally do not enjoy tennis very much, but after reading PoT, it has changed the way I view tennis.
There are also a lot of crazy tennis moves in the manga, but I guess most people like me will actually find the moves 'cool' instead of lame. So I'll recommend you give the manga a try, but if you really don't like it, then I say don't even bother with the anime. XD

Tenshi123

Yup, yup! I myself just got hooked on DDR (and I'm actually really good if you consider that I've only just started) and I personally think it'd be cool and funny if Konomi did something like that, but he probably wouldn't because it's not really a sport. I wonder if Fuji and Echizen are ever going to finish that match of theirs. I really hope Konomi doesn't just end it after the nationals! T.T

Although I doubt Konomi's going continue into the next year, because Echizen's probably going to be captain next year, I wonder how Momo and Kaidou (and maybe Arai?) are going to react to having him as a captain. *laughs* At least they have one thing to look forward to: Inui won't be there with his Penal Teas and such. Unless he like comes back and visits just for that purpose! XDDD

So, you think Konomi should randomly put in chapters of all the characters playing DDR, or one of those 'hold a few buttons, and press them when you see the shiny thing pass by' games? I have baaaad experiences with that blasted game, Fayte can tell you about that. Seeing a kid that you don't like do it for two hours is not pleasant. Anyways...

I agree though, sometimes it's nice to have a break from the tennis. ^^ Though, since it's not actually tennis...I hope Ryoma fails to win at least this competition.

It'll be fun to see what else happens.

could someone explain what the end meant?

the beef wasnt cooked enough?

I've just finished reading the chapter and I didn't get it either.

But Uozumi gave us a fairly understandable explanation:

Higa lost in the end because the meat left the skillet by means other than is legal in this game. If the meat hadn't accidentally flung up in the air and hit them, they would still be in.

Hope that helps ^^

Yeah, there was a mistranslation on my part in the end....., I fixed the translation a few of days ago. What happened was that, Kite said that they should change the grill. Kai then says "leave it to me" and starts to change the grill too soon as Kite tell him to wait, because the meat was still grilling. I guess when Kai change the grill all the hot, still grilling meat landed on their heads and burned them pretty badly then. That's my best explanation at least

Ah I finally get it.. I kept reading the last part a few times. I'm glad I'm the only one who doesn't get it.
I like things like this better then the tennis, that gets boring after a while.
I hope Seigaku doesn't win though. that would be boring. and Rikkai should have been there.. but still lose anyway.
I wonder how Atobe would take Inui Juice

I rather see this then the finals..

but what's been bothering me is what (someone) was gonna say about Atobe's hair..

Nobody else thinks 7 pages of just Seigaku being constantly slapped with an endless supply of wet meat is funny?

I do!

I think Konomi was probably threatened by a horde of angry fangirls to give Atobe his hair back or else

Babii-Boo
April 30, 2007, 01:08 PM
Damn Atobe fangirls! :D
I mean, I thought the whole idea of Konomi-sensei drawing Atobe was so that the audience will start 'hating' him - or think he's super vain (I personally really dislike him) but surprisingly, he's got his MEGA fangirls / fanboys.

He's an asshole in an endearing kind of way. That's why I like him.

On the chapter, I found that it was pretty hilarious after a second read-through. My favorite part was Shishido's sacrifice, and Chotarou's tearful farewell. Even with that in mind, though, I'm not all that willing to put up with several more weeks like this.

I don't understand what's going on much, except that Inui got pantsed again. ^^;;; Poor guy! And also Echizen! Oh, boy! And what was with Ryuuzaki and the old man from Chiba at the end?

HikaruYami

It was... funny. Didn't exactly appreciate seeing Inui's ass again, but the idea of him getting pantsed is still funny.

Yes! This sub-plot-mini-arc is finally over (it was only 3 or 4 chapters but felt longer because of the week break), but! Who thinks we'll actually get to go STRAIGHT to the next match, or if there will be more preparation? Will we even see the lineups next chapter!? Tune in next week for--- wait, I only read this manga.

Really, I want to see all the final matchups and matches, but do you all really think we get to do it THAT quickly?

Astray

HikaruYami
May 11, 2007, 07:57 PM
The captain of Rikkaidai is Yukimura. I can only assume that's who you mean. And I mean, this is the FINAL MATCH. The mangaka kind of HAS to let us see Yukimura play. It's been foreshadowed for a while that he would be the last and strongest opponent... EVER. Not letting us see Yukimura play once in the series would be like if Goku had never actually used the spirit bomb to SUCCESSFULLY kill something throughout the entire series of DBZ. (aka, the big finale, the thing that makes you go "woah... sugoi... that end was amazing...." so the mangaka can end the series on the best note possible, since they do technically have to end it at SOME point.)

Nekogal
May 12, 2007, 02:11 PM

I feel sorry for Inui, his crotch got grilled......that really really must hurt like a bitch......

I think the next few chapters will show the remaining 3 days before the finals and build up the characters' strenght more. We need to see Oishi getting healed, Ryoma trying to perfect Ten'imuhou and everyone else doing last minute training.......

We probably won't see the finals match ups for at least another 2-3 chapters

Looks like there won't be any training done by Nanjirou. And if there was training that Echizen did with him, we won't see it until Echizen's match.

I'm also kinda curious what Atobe says to Momoshiro. I guess I'll have to wait for the translation.

lol, well now that we all know that Ryoma has been in Karuizawa during the 3 days period, I'm pretty sure he's been doing some heavy training. I think we'll get to see his training too during his match. Sort of like how we saw Tezuka in Kyuushuu during his match against Kite.

I think the next chapter will most likely be singles 3 with some scenes of Momo picking up Ryoma and heading back.

my prediction

S1 Yukimura vs. Echizen = 7-6 seigaku win
S2 Tezuka vs. Kirihara= 6-0 Seigaku win, hard to believe devil akaya would stand a chance against tezuka's hyakuren/saiki
S3 sanada vs. fuji= 6-3 Rikkaia win, Fuji's 5th counter will obviously be sealed by sanada, with his new furinkazan
D1=yangi/niou vs. golden pair= rikkai win 7-5
D2= marui, jackal vs. inui ,kaidoh= seigaku win 7-6

Fudji has already lost in semi final, so i don't think he will loose again.

My theory.

Singles 3: Fuji vs Kirihara (Fuji)
Doubles 2: Golden Pair vs Marui and Jackal (Golden Pair)
Singles 2: Tezuka vs Sanada (Sanada)
Doubles 1: Inui and Kaidoh vs Renji and Yagyuu (Renji and Yagyuu)
Singles 1: Echizen vs Yukimura (Echizen)

chikkychappy
May 22, 2007, 09:59 PM
I highly doubt Fuji vs Kirihara will happen again. This match-up was mostly pointless from the start, and I remember that it was only revenge that allowed it to happen, similar to Fuji vs Jirou.

Sanada beating Tezuka? Unless Konomi pulls out another "suprise" (a la Renji vs Inui) or if given the plot it really really has to happen, Tezuka will most definitely win. Two doors is two doors.

gigantor21
May 22, 2007, 11:09 PM
My theory.

Singles 3: Fuji vs Kirihara (Fuji)
Doubles 2: Golden Pair vs Marui and Jackal (Golden Pair)
Singles 2: Tezuka vs Sanada (Sanada)
Doubles 1: Inui and Kaidoh vs Renji and Yagyuu (Renji and Yagyuu)
Singles 1: Echizen vs Yukimura (Echizen)

What the fuck!? If you switch Doubles 1 and 2, that's the exact same formation I predicted on StopTazmo!

And chikkychappy, I can't imagine either Fuji or Akaya being in Doubles, or beating Tezuka or Sanada. And since Fuji has already gotten the Final Counter, he's much more expendable a Singles candidate. So a rematch between them makes sense to me because none of the other possible matches do.
