A new series from JUMP SQ! This manga is based on a TV anime series of the same name, that began in the fall season of 2007. In the year 20XX, humans face an unprecedented crisis in their history when extraterrestrial dragons decided to select Earth as their breeding ground. Unfortunately, where the dragon eggs hatch, they absorb all the nutrients from the surrounding land, turning it into a barren wasteland. That's what happened to Tokyo two years ago, where our hero Kamishina Jin, lost his loved ones. Now, he's joined the Dragonaut units, with Toa, a mysterious girl who saved him, to stop the dragons from destroying the rest of Earth.

Wow, this is really different from the anime, i much prefer this jin over the anime jin.

Indeed. Since this Jin is not so deceptively confused about everything and his relationship with Toa isn't so damn *wanting to punch him in the face for idiocy*. Not to mention neither of the two characters are Emo-from Hell. There's also some connection with the big-tit red-dress scientist with glasses. And Toa is actually some what of a comic relief. Score!

It is a pity that the anime and manga are so different: the two main characters in the manga heroes are not in anime history in general appearance also differ current events (death of the family, manga - it is because of the attacks on Tokyo in anime - during flight) . Read chapter 3 and anime still prefer.
