It's directed by JJ Abrams (director of "Lost" tv series). The monster designs are awesome. I hope this is really really gonna be worth the wait. :D

So, if it's just monsters come to destroy Earth, this seems a lot like "The Mist" to me, but wide-spread and in a creative format.

I think it was said that the monster has to do with some army/government cover -up, not alien.. ie: chemical spills etc.

Once I heard it was a monster flick, I was turned off to be honest, the original trailer looked really good and I thought maybe it was like a war on U.S. or maybe even aliens, but Godzilla thriller flicks are .. not my preference of movie to watch.

Yeah im expecting this mofvie to be the bomb,i dont care how the mosters look,as long as it aint Godzilla but as far as the trailer kicks ass then the movie must kick ass to,damn January 18th,thats a long time to wait,but i already waited more then 2 months so ill be patiant.

But damn taht monster that u posted Imp was realy creative,not any Godzilla type.

When i saw the trailer at the pics i thought the noise the monster made was strangely like the one the monster/cloud makes in lost, so i wasn't surprised to hear the guy from Lost was making it.

Also I thought it was an alien as well...i thought it fell from the sky like a meteor or something....
