Heh, I always find it funny how "magicians" are doomed to doing things slowly, because doing things faster would only spoil the "magic."

Just about when the video was done loading (=forever) my computer switched to a blue screen full of gibberish and a count... at about 9 I restarted the computer and it wouldn't load windows! So, I turned it off and on again after a minute or so... Then it worked but I'm scared to try and watch it again :sweat

Which makes the event all the more tragic... not only did it take ages for just one of the videos to load it also caused the mess mentioned above...

...I'll apply for it when I go back to Kavala, but I'm applying for a student discount too which will only complicate things more given all the paperwork and bureaucrats involved... Still, after all this Leonidion (my hometown) isn't close to any big cities which in simple terms means dsl wont' be getting down here anytime soon and I'll be here three times a year, 2-3 weeks on Christmas and Easter and 2 months in summer.

When you get broadband, be sure you have a firewall up and ready to go before doing too much on it. I've gotten a few viruses because I didn't do that. My firewall's up now and working, but I was still kinda lucky, considering, that my computer didn't contact a REALLY bad virus....

Alright I had found this amusing piece at youtube.com . I have to say, by far the best thing I have ever found.
Really this is for you old Mario gamer's, that have played Super Mario 1-3 from the great NES.

This is the scene in Kill Bill Vol. 1 of the fight between "The Bride" and "GoGo", altered though with the sound effects from the Mario games, music especially from Super Mario 2(Though not a real Mario Game, but made part). But this will give you a good laugh, I know I was busting up watching it. So, I do hope you share the same experience. I know for a fact I will not be able to watch this scene in the same way again :p

I really have to say, the person that put this together did a great job. I would congratulate him/her on a job well done. Enjoy, and comment on what you thought. ^^

Heh heh well ya, I was expecting the ending music as well. But I think how they delivered it, was something I wasnt expecting. The way it was slightly spaced out worked brilliantly. I did like the steel ball effect, I also liked it when "GoGo" dashed towards "The Bride" and had that little running sound effect from Super Mario 3. Great stuff.

Well, I was mainly hitting this for the old Mario Fans. But so long as you enjoyed it's all good. ^^

i remember that house... i saw it on the news. the commercail they are talking about showd the house for a few moments, then the miller lite symbol came up with "enjoy the lites", a play on words.

did you know, however, that the guy that lives there designed it himself? he is a software engineer. he set the music to a radio band so that his neibors didnt have to listen to blaring music all night. although, with those lights, im sure they were still upset. eventaully the man turned them off, because of the high ammount of cars hitting each other in front of his house.

I thought I'd share this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvIax8I6oDI) (it's the first part, the others are in the related videos).
It's a documentary on martial arts, where they try to see if what we are told through movies and books is true.
Can a single punch really knock down or kill someone? Can a trained fighter really strike faster than a snake?
It's really pleasing to see scientists amazed by the data they read on their computers when the 'ninjutsu' expert tries his killing blow ^^

Can you run them smoothly? :blink
Most people even with really good machines say that these videos jerk a little (same for me btw).
Also, most monitors these days don't really profit from the very high resolution. 1080p is already the limit for most, so 4096 (It's the setting "Original" above "1080p HD" if anybody wonders) won't change anything it seems (exept for running slow on non-super high tech machines :D)

Even on 1080 it looks great though. If someone has a reaaaally huge and good TV or such a monitor to attach to a computer, 4096 should be amazing :amuse

Oops, fail. Didn't realize I was watching in 1080. :sweat Yeah, they're choppy when I try 'Original'

Omg this is hillarious :D Some guy steals a hacker's computer and leaves it totally original (no formating hard drive or stuff), so the hacker can keep track of everything this guy's doing easily... and that guy really likes uploading pictures of himself, for example! :D
