Yeah, the background is somewhat plain. However, the rest is great as I like group shots. There's no reason for Juvia to be on the cover unfortunately. When it's her time to shine, it will happen hopefully. No Patherlily until he officially joins I guess.

I don't know if this the right thread to ask this or if it been asked before and already answered. But did Hiro do colorspread's of Fairy Tail or Databook's? Another question is the Fairy Tail manga going get speed up published like the One Piece manga Viz media did for the english translated ones? Here in the US latest issue is volume 12 this week but the volume 13 won't come out til December.....I don't know why even though in Japan they on there way to volume what 22? One last question who's translations are used for the mangastream scans of Fairy Tail?

1) Zancrow hair is freaking blond, damn..didn't see that coming.
2) Urtear battle suit is awesome in color and so is all the clothes the seven are wearing..except for capricon's, I don't like his.
3) Disappointed that they used makarov vs Hades for background..I understand the logic behind that but still..wished they emphasized on it more.

All I can say is: Zancrow is REALLY Natsu's super saiyan 3 form :S. Kain is fatter and pailer than I thought. He makes the pillsbury dough boy look tan. Speaking of Tan, Azuma is that a lot. Ultearsoffyounglad'sviginities' battle suit comes with leggings, Meldy's battle suit is purple, Rusty really is a Kabuto/Johnny Bravo contact fusion, and GOAT!...is...a...goat...>.>...<.<...GOAT!

Great cover as always but still cover of volume 19. wasn't beaten up even by this. Still, Zancrow in color looks even more awesome insane than in only black and white, I wasn't expecting golden hair (I expected something like bright scarlet) but it's good choice. Urtear looks awesome too. And that background... man, freaking awesome epic. Can't wait for HQ version, english release and of course next cover.

Hmm... here's hoping Kagura gives a good fight tomorrow against Yukino considering her stats are pretty maxed out. But I'm guessing Yukino will win pretty easily since Mashima intentionally kept her stats unknown for tomorrow.

Fairy Tail will be having a light novel adaptation. It will be written by Miu Kawasaki, one of the writers of .//hack. The illustrations will be done by Hiro Mashima. The words written on the cover says something like, "heart of dwell" (kind of weird but that's just what I've read somewhere)

The problem with trying to count "Cool" as six, is that not all the cools are equal. For example, Yuka clearly has a slightly higher defense stat than Jura, but both are just listed as "Cool".

Slightly more. One for each OVA, then this since volume 25 as compared to only one or two in the course of volumes 1-24. It makes sense from their standpoint as the special editions are more expensive than the regular editions, with an accompanying higher profit margin. Selling 60-100 thousand SE instead of normal copies is a nice boost in revenue.


I think this is like the 3-4 I've seen from them. It loses its value and exclusiveness if every other volume has a special edition cover, in my opinion.

To some extent, yes. Negima ha virtually every volume have an LE version, even when there was very little reason for it, and it kind of made them forgettable unless they were really good.

As for Lucy, that may not happen as we see it since he had already changed RT's part. But I feel Raven tail may yet appear in the future, sometime in this arc. About Lucy's 12 keys, it's still in the middle of the story and seems far from the peak of it so do you think Lucy might start gathering unknown keys that's tooo rare that might even be forbidden?

Pretty much anyone important in Rave who wasn't part of the main cast died. Including Sieg. If he's doing the same thing as in Rave that pretty much means Jellal's already got a noose around his neck.

She's on the cover because volume 36 contains the chapters they break her and Lucy out of the cell. The one that's out of place on the cover is Loki who doesn't appear in any of the chapters in the volume. Volume 36 ends on chapter 308, he doesn't show until chapter 309.

With Natsu's face like that, the cover should've just been him, Happy and Lucy on there. Epic face. Zasz you're right though that Minerva's face looks a bit...I'd say bland. Alternatively, the cover should've featured the female trio, in some sort of split panel cover.
