You always hear negative things about Bush and his administration. What you don't hear are the positives..

While I don't necessarily like Bush 100%, I believe he is a decent President and a decent human being. His recent efforts to moderate a peace deal between Israel and Palestine is commendable, to say the least. And just recently, he embarked on a six-day trip to the African continent, and the media portrayed the event as an attempt by Bush to save his overall world image.

While the world continues to ignore the genocides in Darfur, it amazes me how the UN have the balls to criticize the US for trying to do things unilaterally.

I agree, miyi. (Though you probably knew I would.) While I do criticize Bush from time to time, I think people keep trying to make him look like a completely evil entity and he just isn't. I think he does mean well. He's just not that, ahem, smart and charismatic (especially in the public eye).

i'm a liberal and deeply dislike the current administration but i've never thought of Bush as evil. i think he is an idiot but not evil. Cheney though is a different story entirely

my reason to dislike the current government is the struggling economy.. as for Bush, well he is hilarious some of the time...

While I do believe that a considerable amount of the actions Bush is doing right now stem from him wanting to leave on a good note, as more than likely he's being urged by his family to do so (wouldn't want the Bush Presidential line to end with G.W!) I don't view him as a "bad guy" in any way shape or form. I do believe that he's been a decent president...nowhere near what we really needed, but a decent one for the most part. I think that we could have had two people who were drastically more intelligent (Gore/Kerry) than him in office both Elections he was involved in, and that whenever the man speaks it seems like garbage dribbles out the corners of his mouth instead of saliva, but he's an ok guy.

....What about Africa? ^_^ j/k
