Good ep, especially like the Gran Rey Cero bit. Next episode seems to be the showpiece, although what did it say it was going to air April 4th? That's a bit lame.

Well, I watched the stream and I have to say that the audio was a bit messed up. After the first few seconds, you can still hear the music fine but the voices become barely audible. It was still a good episode with lots of action though, and it didn't bother me too much because I wouldn't be able to understand what they're saying in a RAW episode anyways. Just putting it out there.

EDIT
After watching the stream again, (without my headphones this time) I found nothing wrong with the audio. Looks like I need new headphones!

I love how the anime is progressing.

For some reason, the gran rey cero was not as impressive animated as I had hoped it would be. Matched Grimmjow's color scheme, but other than that a bit of a let down. Plus side: Negacion Box came out nicely, and green vs red cero action did too.

Overall: One very good episode, imho.

I liked the animation, though not perfect by any means, it was decent and fit well,
with that current action-bgm I wonder whether we'll hear "Number One" as BGM again sometime soon... *likes the song* XD

and, if they take pauses in the anime now, it's totally fine with me... rather they take pauses than fitting in some weird fillers into the middle of an awesome part. And it prevents them from going down the DBZ route: too close to the manga, thus adding too much non-canon information which gets proven wrong by the manga a week or two later...

a 14-day schedule which is shortly behind the manga should still provide enough info for the anime, while keeping enough material for use to be comfortable with not running into danger of catching up.

Nice episode. Grimmjow was awesome. Ulquiorra vs. GJ, though, brief was probably my favorite part of the episode.

Also, the omake at the end was hilarious. Matsumoto can get guys to do anything. :hbunny

Great episode. I really like the pacing that Bleach is at. When I was watching the orihime heal scene, I couldn't help thinking that if it was in Naruto, the healing would have taken half the episode! At this rate, they'll catch up to the manga soon, but I would much prefer a filler arc then enormous filler in each manga based episode.

Well thats why there wont be any episode next week and the week after that, right? They aint gonna ruin this phase so they wont any Donkanongi.

I agree with you. I have to say, Bleach anime rocks. I love the animation. I used to like the way the anime portrays the blood (it just drop a whole lump sum of blood onto the ground instead of splatting it nicely and aesthetically) but I think the whole blood thing is getting better already. XD The animation has improved a lot. And HM rocks with the background music. I love the Cero sound.

Random thought: that line where Grimmjow said "maybe she was hurt on the 'inside'" was really chilling. The way Dattebayo's translator put it, it almost sounded like rape. :O

Overall, the episode was okay. I was disappointed at how Ichigo's "jump-in Bankai" was animated--given how squeal inducing it was in the manga--but they did a good enough job with the low budget. And the next episode looks like it's gonna be insane.

I loved that line. Caught me completely off-guard. Never thought Grimmjow would actually suggest such a thing, and it worked so very well.

I'm still wondering when they're going to drop into fillers. There's a bunch of cliffhangers coming up, so which one will they choose to leave it at?

Except the filler starts up in April, so they can't possibly get to that point.

Yeah, it's coming out next week. There was an announcement in the episode itself IIRC.

This fight, along with many in Bleach, seemed like it would work better on film. I'm expecting something on par with Ikkaku's fight with Edorad, if not better.

Right when Ichigo goes vaizard, his mask is drawn incorrectly. You can see the three lines coming down from the top right. That's how it was before he became a vaizard and the mask would appear. It's not post defeating his inner hollow. But then in the next sequence it's fixed. It bothers me sometimes that the animators can't be consistent.

New Bleach 166 is out. What an episode!!! It's available for streaming at Animetengoku.com. I'd start a new thread but I don't know how to paste links to the page. :(

Thanks for the hint, though I prefer waiting with threads until we got a torrent/ddl raw though as streaming is not really optimal overall.
