Nope, he doesn't know about it, or so it seems ^.^; Sweden's a very beautiful country by the way and Stockholm is one of the most amazing places I've been to.
We used to be! We won the Six Nations Grand Slam two years ago and we used to be best in the World for a while... (though, that was many eons agoT.T before my time) But at the moment we're knee-high in the shits *sob, sob*
Is  rugby that popular in Sweden
The Boff
June 04, 2006, 08:32 PM
nah it aint.. its a local thing. i dont know how long but like 15 years ago our local schools started to compete
in every sport available and then some nut created a new sport. indoor rugby. its played on a basketball court with
big mats in each end where you score. and its played with a 4 kilo medicin ball. no protection all out kick ass. its fun.
i played for 4 years and then ive been a coach for 3..
but there's a huge difference from british rugby.
Verena
June 04, 2006, 08:44 PM
What's the difference, apart from it being in-doors?
You're a coach? Awesome x3 My little brother plays it now x33333
The Boff
June 04, 2006, 08:47 PM
mostly rules and how its played, since the ball is so heavy you almost never pass it and youre not allowed to kick it.
this was actually my last year as a coach.. but it was fun while it lasted

38. I love Miyavi and Dir En Grey
47. I'm half way through writing a novel x3
38. WOOO another Diru fan!!! :D which album/song you like most? who's your fave guy?
(sorry, over excited coz it's rare to meet another fan..) I'm really looking forward to their latest single this 26th june... Ryoujyoku no Ame.. and hopefully the new rumoured album later this year...even though unlikely..
yeap, karasu was actually from one of their song.. Karasu..
47. i'm thinking of becoming one too.. got the idea, got the plot, but always stuck in the "time" part due to other business... what genre are you writing?
Verena
June 04, 2006, 11:45 PM
Bawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! *tackleglomps you* Kaoru is the smex x3 "Cage" such a HOT song *drools*
Hmmm, I guess it would be aimed at Young Adults. It's about prejudice and misunderstanding. Action/drama/romance type of theme. It doesn't have a name yet. How about you?
karasu
June 05, 2006, 01:14 AM
hahaha.. my gf is all over Die... my fave guy is of coz Shinya.. i'm a drummer and we both look up to Yoshiki :D
hmm..cage..delicious... :D o wait... cage, not cake.. still delicious..
i really really digs Embryo, The Final and Undecided.. but all their songs are so good.. there are other reasons why i choose karasu as a nick anyway, thus Karasu :D
crime fiction all the way :D
hm.. this is one plot i'm currently thinking.. (hollywood people! movie ideas alert!)
a plan master... a guy who's capable of creating any plan to do anything successfully, and he took pride that his plan never involves hurting other people physically and such... he was paid by a group of criminals to create a robbery plan and so he did, without knowing what they're gonna rob.. but the fact that they kill people unnecessarily during the process of robbery and they were robbing a hospital out of all places.. for money and organs... but his plan is flawless nonetheless, they weren't caught..
few months after, the plan master's daughter's sick.. and in need of organ transplant (now it's obvious where this is going).. the available organs weren't compatible.. so the plan master fought for the chance that some of the organs that were stolen might be compatible... can he break one of his own flawless masterplan?
i'm thinking of a sad ending though.. i kinda hate if he successfully obtained the organs and, hail all lady luck in the universe, it was compatible... it's just too sweet of a coincidence...
i can imagine the sad ending.. he's all bloody from the action and fights.. he came to the hospital bringing the organs cooler box, the only one he could salvage.. the organ was analysed.. and he saw his daughter.. the doctor came into the room and shook his head... "daddy, it's alright.." and a few months later, he stood in front of a little grave...

"The Final", meh friend Kelly is in love with that song. Lol, we're there in science, precariously listening to our iPods singing along quietly while others turn around and look at us like we're nuts. Good times x3 Shinya looks so... womanly O.O! It's amazing!
Crime fiction? Wow. Tough genre to master.
I'd rather not post anything about mine on here. I could send the first chapter to you, if you'd like?

June 05, 2006, 01:38 AM
hehe, i'm already very much distracted by MH eventhough i'm supposed to do my assignment (5000 more words and 4 more programs to go..) but you can send it to me i'll read it when i have a break..
speaking of which.. i never listened to Miyavi, are they good? J-Rock or Visual Kei?
currently searching through P2P program the cd-store.. for their MP3 umm lyrics?
[br]Posted on: June 04, 2006, 11:35:53 PM_________________________________________________hmm wikipedia said he was in visual kei band then later j-rock solo..
"He has claimed to be his own favorite artist."
"He admires Toshiya from Dir en grey and the late Kazuki from Raphael."
hm..wikipedia sure likes to contradict itself :D
might give him a try...
any song recommendation?
Verena
June 05, 2006, 01:45 AM
"Pop is Dead" and "Are you ready to ROCK" are pretty crazy songs. But "Ashita, genki ni naare" is pretty goregous x3

accidentally i got this live miyavi song "shiawase nara te wo tatakou" (that "if you're happy clap your hand" song)
i almost burst to laughter when i listened to it in the bus coz i wasn't expecting it...

21. I would also like to be a Paediatric Gynaeycologist

I read through your "bad habits list", he he, it was funny!!
I also interrupt people and I also chew my fingernails.
Your sleeping position is very funny!! :grin
9. I've had <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eczema">Eczema</a> since I was a baby. Atopic type, contact, seborrheic, and, recently, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dermatitis_herpetiformis">dermatitis herpetiformis</a>. Luckily, I am <i>totally</i> clear at the moment, since I've been a good girl. To control it, I eat a "special" <s>bland</s> diet with lots of organic foods.
That sucks, I've also some type of dermatitis, and usually it's not that bad, but sometimes it looks pretty bad.
It used be be a lot worse some years ago at high school, I also had pimples, and people often asked me what was wrong with my face...
Now I use a special cream and shampoo that prevents my skin to become dry, so yeah, I'm looking pretty good now. :p
But it was hell when I was a teenager, had low self esteem and all. ;)

Your sleeping position is very funny!! :grin
Thanks. :) It's a horrible habit to interrupt people. I'm really not trying to be rude. It's something I'm working on. :D Glad I'm not alone, though. And my sleeping position is a constant source of embarassment...especially when I fall asleep in front of friends. XD

Ugh. The questions, the questions! Boy, do I know where you're coming from!
"Are you diseased?"
"No."
"Is it contagious?"
"No."
" Ew!"
"What?"
" It is Herpes? An STD?"
"..."
Etc, etc, so on and so forth.
People can be really thoughtless, you know? And it's rough being a teenager and having to deal with it. Plus, in high school, I had all the allergies flare up (side-effects from some medicines caused hypersensitivity) and the Celiac thing. :o So, like you, I had a few issues creep up on me in high school. It's a bad feeling. :crying
You use special shampoos, too? :grin I go to health stores to buy natural products that won't irritate me. (though I have to read labels regardless) :s I have a cream onhand for "emergencies"... Luckily, my skin is doing really well now. It gets alot better in the summer. Glad that you're looking good now, though. :D It's a nice feeling.
Yeah, I mean, I have a house, a loving family, caring friends, I get to eat food everyday, there is no reason in the world that I could be unhappy!!! :grin
Yes, I'm inspired by optimism! I'm happy now, too, so there is no place for sadness! :dance

Right now the shampoo "Selsun" is doing the job for me and I also use a weird cream, but I don't remember the name.
The problem with high school was stress... when I was stressed or nervous it used to get worst.
I've found out that sunlight and sea water are great solutions, it really helps.
Guess that now I finally understand why my dad decided to move to Costa Rica...

Ah, I haven't heard of that shampoo. Hmmm. :) I forgot what I'm using. Something without chemicals or parabens. I use a lot of glycerol soaps...
STRESS! YES, it made it so much worse. ;_; It's a vicious cycle isn't it? You <i>get</i> stressed and in turn are stressed over the skin, which creates more skin problems and more stress. Argh. >_< <s>Tried...meditation...</s>
Sunlight and sea water helps me as well. Though without the sea water in abundance here, I've found that swimming and being in swimming pools actually helps me. That's why I love summertime. ^_~

@ Siedhr:
Nice that you love Vagabond, cats, and fantasy. I do too. ;D And guess it was too "troublesome" to correct the two 7's eh... that's a nice looking number anyway :p ("Troublesome" is a Shikamaru reference in Naruto, in case you don't read it.) And hmm... if you find out there was a God, and that there would be an afterlife depending on whether you acknowledge him/her or not, you still won't do anything eh? Well, you're pretty honest... ;)
hmm... anyway, hope you realize New Replies won't show you what people say unless you post in THIS thread... lol.
@ To any others whose entries I missed commenting on so far, sorry about that, I only read the last post. I'll come back soon, tho.

7 is definitely a magic number. :) And it was too troublesome (why isn't there enough Shikamaru in Naruto, I wonder).
And hmm... if you find out there was a God, and that there would be an afterlife depending on whether you acknowledge him/her or not, you still won't do anything eh?
That would be cheating, I believe. Hey, god, I'm now know that's it's convenient to believe in you. :tem
This is a question I've asked almost all the believers I've met: If I'm a good person during my life would god still send me to hell? The majority said yes. So I remained my old atheist self. :tem
Anyway, I'm steadily making my way through both of the threads. Very interesting and unexpected stuff about some people. I'll be back when I have some more to say.
Oh, and speaking of fantasy, are there any George RR Martin fans around here?

His early stuff isn't that great. Especially compared to A Song of Ice and Fire, his masterpiece. It's as if it's a different writer.
It's a fabulous fantasy book, written in a very realist style, where characters live, speak and die like real people. The setting is in an alternate England (some of the action is inspired from the war of the roses) and there's not much magic, at least at first. Medieval times, so there are knights and maidens and kings and queens, and some dragons. It gets you hooked instantaneously. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to be entertained, challenged, amused or reduced to tears. There are four volumes so far (from seven or so we hope), the action is tight packed and very unpredictable and colorfull.
I cannot recommed this book highly enough to everyone. Here's a spoiler-free review of the first volume: http://www.westeros.org/Citadel/Books/Martin01a.html. I also have all the volumes as ebooks and could give them to anyone who wants them, though you should also buy the books from Amazon as I did afterward. Money well spent.

Actually, I was referring to A Game of Thrones, which is the only book I have by him. But I'll go back to it sometimes, I'm sure. I just wasn't that captivated by it when I started it and moved on to other things - I got it last summer.

i've really wanted to meet someone who has photographic memory...
so, is it true that you never forget anything ever since you can remember?
Its not COMPLETELY photographic. I suppose my mind is mildy photographic. I can memorize something if I look at it once (like a poem, words and their definitions, what page a pcture is on in a text book). As long as it's releativly moderate in size, that is. If it was an epic book or something, then I might have some trouble. What I remember usually depends on the content, and whether or not I was truely paying attention to it. If I were studing for something like a vocab test or an unit test in history class, then I could remember things after a glance, but if I happened to be half-watching a tv show and someone asked me about something specific that happened in it, then I may not be able to remember.
Photographic memories come in various degrees. I had a teacher once who remembered ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. When he told us he had a completely photographic memory, we asked him to prove it. He told us to open the text book and give him any page number in the book. We did, and he recited WORD FOR WORD everything on that page, including the caption under the picture. It was scary.
As far as forgetting goes...again, it depends on the content. I can recite any poem I've ever read, and I can tell the names of every person I've gone to class with, or even gone to school with. I sometimes forget trivial things, like um...what I wore to my own birthday party when I was 9.
@LadyHatake
I really do want to know if you really do have a great photographic memory. Any tips on how to memorize 5000+ SAT words in less than 3 months time? XD
Oh God. the dreaded SATs. I took my third one back in May, and I should still probably take my subject tests, but...I'm lazy. (Like Shikamaru)
Vocab? hm. Well, you definently won't need all 5,000. First, cross off any words you already know. That should whittle the list down a good chunk. Then, put the remaining words on index cards and study them whenever possible. While eating breakfast, waiting in a checkout line, etc.
Alot of words occur more often than others ( i.e. Colloqial, Clandestine, etc) you could probably find online which ones come up most often, and you could try to focus on those. No matter what, though, you'll get words you don't know, so don't stress toooooo much.

I can relate to that. My name is usually short for Daniella for most girls, so some that try to be "speshul" call me like that. No, man, it's Dana. It's short and spunky and it fits me and it's on my ID. Or some teachers who can't read, at first call me Oana (a name I loathe).

Yup Mary Jane Watson-Parker is her full name. It's a gift from my friend for my birthday but she gave it too me about 6 months late, since she was studying abroad. I got another one, the black U2 iPod. But since i got MJ, Bono never left his box anymore.

It was a late surprise birthday gift from her and I'm still thankful for having a great friend and also for having MJ. I had to save for 7 months so I can get Bono and you're right, i should probably make him work once in a while.

So am I. Unfortunately you have to go a long way to really find a nice church sometimes. Also, I'm not so crazy about worshipping with others in public as well, I'd rather do it in private. It's not the best approach but that's just me.
I read somewhere, though, that the point isn't to find a nice church, it's just to worship with others so that you may influence others through your voice, your actions, your leadership. Doesn't matter if the place is broken down and there's horrible people in it, one person can make a difference.
But all the same, I'm just not looking to do something like that.

good times...I really appreciate the warm reception :grin
and dont worry - you're not the only one who sucks at tagalog; for me - its hard finding your place with other filipinos (its like we are not asian, but were not obviously not american, but some eclectic little mix of the two - making it hard to find any sense of national identity.) IMO
oh, and trust me - about doing art professionally - definetly go for it (I myself graduated in computer graphics) BUT more, and more I find that companies want to hire artists that simply knowing what they are doing; regardless of education - but having that foundation will definetly make you stronger in their eyes - good luck to you. :grin

study in the Philippines...really?!?! that's awesome!
just a bit of advice though...alot of animations these days incorporate some form of CG-manipulation (even 2-D)...so I would suggest exposing yourself to a healthy mix of both. :grin
but I definetly applaud your adherence 2-Dimensional animation - with the OVER-exposure of 3-D and fancy CG; 2-D has lately taken a backseat and its really quite a shame...I personally feel that NO amount of 'fancy CG' will ever replace the 'golden-era' of classic animation, there is a quality there that never can seem to find itself again. :grin
Dragonzair
September 14, 2006, 01:41 PM
Actually, there's alot of other Animation, which also includes 3D CG, but in the end, we choose one of them for the Major, in the last year.
Reason for choosing 2D is because that is how I fell in love with cartoons in the first place. While 3D looks amazing, one can never replace the magic of animation draw by hand. Like Disney (is a big Disney freak). Hayao Miyazaki's movies are amazing, and in my opinion, can beat any 3D movie, yet it's all done 2D.
So yeah <3

Classics are good you know.... The Tragedy of King Lear is one of the best. Read it sometimes and you'll get addicted like me.... Sure you like Romeo and Juliet aren't you...? (I dislike Romeo and Juliet).

yep those are tarot cards and they belong to the major arcana. there are 22 major aracnas (numbered fom 0-21). however, there are also minor arcanas that are under the major ones. the minor ones are number 1-10 and are classified as Ace of Hearts/swords/wands/pentacles (signifying One of swords/hearts/wands/pentacles) and so on up until 10. furthermore, there are also cards which are called Court Cards. It consists of 16 cards namely, King/Queen/Knight/Page of Hearts/swords/wands/pentacles.
all in all there are 78 cards in the tarot deck.
btw i am using rider-wayt deck. there are other types of decks out there that are different from the standard rider-wayt deck. and each of them have unique cards that may have different meanings than the rider-wayt. :D

The Magician card can also be called The Juggler and can have different meanings depending on the layout that your friend used to lay the cards. It can mean someone who is skillful and practical and can also be clever and knowledgeable.
bakashijinsan
October 10, 2006, 09:37 PM
yeah! it can have many meanings. but one particular meaning of the Magician is "To Take action". There are so many things that ould reinforce the Magician. cards like the 8 of wands, the Chariot and such can also suggest action on your part. but there are also cards that can counter the effect of a certain card. Like for example, if the magician suggests action, the High Priestess suggests caution and passiveness. there's also the Hanged man you mentioned a while ago that suggests a passive behavior. also, a reversed Magician would also suggest passiveness in action.
on how to read the tarot, it is spread in many ways. what i usually use (coz it's the only one i've been practicing since learning tarot) is the Celtic Cross Spread. we lay out ten cards and form a cross first with the first 6 cards and the other four cards are placed vertically in line with the cross. there you can interpret the meaning of the cards in conjunction with the position on the cross.
as for the meaning of the ten positions, here they are:
1. the subject being talked about
2. the conflict/problem of the subject
3. what lies beneath/ something that exists within you but you're not aware of it
4. past situation
5. the obvious situation as of the moment/a transition from what you don't know to what you DO know/alternate future
6. IMMEDIATE future
7. how do you see the question or what do you feel of your inquiry
8. how do other people see you or how do other people feel of the inquiry
9. your greatest hopes and fears
10. The resolution/final outcome/what the cards are suggesting you should do
tarot card readings are not to be taken as a fortune telling thing in such a way that you can not do anything if say i read to you "you're gonna get fired" there is a reason why the cards have said that. so what you can do is try to renounce what you have been doing at work and improve your conduct so as to avoid getting fired.
there are so many people who were saying to me that my readings of them didn't come true. of course because the fate of a person still depends on the person holding it and not the cards.
and btw, tarot cards can never answer a "yes" or "no" question.
here are links on how the meaning of tarot cards and a brief history on it

bakashijinsan
October 11, 2006, 02:52 AM
i once tried palmistry but never got hooked into it too much and most of the things that people ask of me when it comes to palmistry are general fortune tellings of their lives.
i got bored of it coz the lines of the palm of a person doesn't change overnight and once you told the person's fortune through palmistry, and he/she asks you again, you'd be seeing the same thing over and over again unless you look at their palms after a year or two.
in tarot, you can just ask a particular question and you can get answers that directly hits the question.

ILUVATAR

well actually, to the kind of coffee reffi talks about, when you drink it there are some kinds of "left overs" stayed at the bottom of the cup when you drink it. you let them dry and then someone experienced to that can read signs on the surface of what stayed at the bottom of the cup. i've never seen anyone doing it though o.o, i've never met anyone experienced to that

Lol, classic.
Yea, reading coffee is exactly like Illuvatar said, you brew really rich coffee beans over a live (fire) stove, and the water turns to coffee. When you pour that into a cup, the coffee bean remenants cool at the bottom and then you have to turn the cup over and you can see pictures...
But it's all very symbolic, and mystical and you can't really decypher it unless you've been taught. For example I see a dot, my mother sees a face of a girl that has been lusting over me, because one of her eyes is bigger than the other. I see a mountainy cliff, she sees a dog which looms over the girl dangerously, but its not a real dog, the dog represents another guy that likes her, but she's ignoring him... or w/e crap else.
I mean.. I've had it come true, but I prefer to think of it as coincidence. Just like when my horoscope comes true, it's so random and vague it happens once in a while (however the coffee isn't vague, it's fairly specific). You probably can't find a coffee reader in too many places around the world, definately in the Balkan countries though.. so if you ever go on vacation in south eastern Europe ask for one :p

that's quite nice. for most of the times, my readings somewhat came true while others do not.
but i do have an encounter wherein the querent (the one asking fo her fortune) became mad at at me at some point coz what i saw in my cards was that her fiance was engaged to another woman. :p my querent got mad at me to the point of raising her voice. so i told her, "it might be one of the possible situations."
after a year or so, i heard that she got divorced from her fiance coz she was the mistress and the original wife claimed their husband for her own.
anyway, i don't care that much. i'm just doing it for fun anyways. understanding how fortune telling works gives me an adequte amount of right to laugh at those psychics I see on television predicting what would happen next year. :ginbo :ginbo :ginbo

Why were you fighting so much?
Oh yes. Filthy rich is the only way to be.
You seriously dye your hair white? Thats class, Ive always fancied a streak of white hair, like Rogue from X-Men.
Its soo hard to find a good pair! But yeah, dark jeans always look good on men.

Yea, I'm going to become fcuking filthy rich and my sister's kids will call me Rich Uncle MyOnlyStar.
I don't actually dye my hair white, about 20% of my hair is naturally white. So I dye it to a uniform color or something. I might bleach it platinum someday.
Dark Jeans are the sexiest. I have a pair of black dickies that I got for 40 each, and they're currently my favorites. I also have a pair of 70 dollar volcom jeans, they're pretty supple. My most expensive is a 160 dollar pair, but I don't really wear it that much.
I didn't saw this thread in my new replies button for quite a while. Huhu.. Troublemaker eh? Stabbing? Sticking scissors into a powerstrip? Sounds dangerous to me....
Yea, it was dangerous. If the power strip hadn't shorted, I'd be dead.
I got into a bunch of fights because of the angst of being deaf, and having that as a communication handicap. Still irks me.
Detention was worse, staying behind an extra hour on every other day of school blows.
