July 08, 2006, 03:47 PM
yea, there are spots around kakashi's head.

As for the japanese, you have to remove it then redraw the image underneath

vlado
July 08, 2006, 04:34 PM
Not bad :) the left side could use some heavy redrawing but eaven with my curent level i couldn't get that to looks good :) gotta ask fnuk how to make that look nice :)

NeoShweaty

redrawing? you mean making the blacks black. I have no idea how to blacken that without messing up the speedlines. Thank god i dont mess with jump scans.

If you're aiming to join any HQ groups, you should get accustomed to working with images that are 1100px in height.

Btw could it be that you used the HQ raw for the cleaning? I just saw the HQ and cleaning it isnt that hard...thought you did it from the LQ xD

vlado

lol , des with ivotas perfect raw that is spotless you aint gonna see raws like those we still work for 4-5 hours only to make it look HQ :D

and the pain brush tool :D

lol 'pain' brush...very apt name :smile-big anywayz, @kyubi those look really good!

How do i remove it?

neo and vlado has already commented on this but heck, here's my 2 cents worth...i use the lasso, draw around the words and hit the 'delete' button. primarily because i'm not very good with the 'erase' tool. i found myself erasing more than i should and so...a lot of 'undo'. the lasso sorta gives me a 2nd chance. then again, i'm an absolute noob to cleaning :smile-big

When you have to delete text over art for like ever panel of a manga, maybe even multiple times per panel, then you get pretty good at the erase tool. (i am referring to me and mr. fullswing)

I always create a new layer and select the text somehow and fill it with white. That way when I want to look at what it was like originally, I just disable my layer and voila.

I should get into the habit of using multiple layers. Yeah, for the topic starter, use multiple layers when editing. It helps to have different layers for the different steps

multiple layers...that sounds hard, and REALLY time consuming. But i'll give it a try. I mite need help though

NeoShweaty

really hard? just open a new layer and work. Just instead of erasing anything, make it white. Rather simple

shinwei
July 12, 2006, 02:32 PM
All you gotta do is click the New Layer button... and that's it.

vlado
July 13, 2006, 11:30 AM

Or just push CRTL+Shift+N well layers is one of the best features for editing =)

Having multiple layers (including copies of the raw) will also save you the time in case you make any mistakes. Trust me...I speak from experience :darn
...But that's just my opinion, other people might think otherwise.

As for your cleaning, great job! :amuse But you might want to redraw some of the broken white lines.

The only reason NOT to use multiple layers... is laziness.
