My cousin has two children, and her husband is one of the seafarer being kidnapped on that ship.

We've been calling her constantly to see what's going on, and how she is doing.

These are actual people being kidnapped here, and I don't find it funny.

Since I know one of the crew member being held hostage in this ship, all I'm asking is a little bit of decency, that's all....no need to delete this thread.


Having said that, just some few info about Somalia politics since we're at it.

Somalia is in a current state of anarchy at the moment, and it's been the case since the government was overthrown in 1991, and the country has experienced mass famines ever since, killing millions.

Right now, there is an Islamist type of insurgency that are ruling the streets of Somalia, much like Iraq was a few months ago.

The Gulf of Aden, in between Somalia and Yemen, is an international water that is relatively unpatrolled and overrun by pirates. Piracy in this region has been a plaguing problem for years, and to no avail, little has been achieved to curb this issue.

The good news is that these pirates have a history of treating the hostages well in anticipation of hefty sums of ransom money, and having kept in regular contact with the people involved in the case, they've told me that they are trying to resolve the issue peacefully and via diplomatically, in order not to endanger the crew member's lives.

As to the One Piece Flag itself, I have no information regarding that, but I assume that the pirates have used the logo, and probably found it in the internet...I don't know. I'm pretty sure they aren't doing this to promote the manga One Piece.
