Maybe that's why Ichigo can go Vaizard without the Hougyouku(sorry if I spelt it wrong? Just a thought, what do you guys think??

We have seen in this gaiden just how against hollowfication Urahara's efforts have been. I doubt after the experiences he's gone through that he would start creating vizards on purpose just for the heck of it. (With Ichigo, there was a possibility that he would become a vizard, but I don't think that was necessarily Urahara's goal.)

Also, given Isshin's comments about the vizards being criminals, I doubt that he himself is one too. That would make him rather hypocritical judging them as he did.

1. Was Ichigos mother a human or a shinigami? Human -> Ichigi is special. -> Both human, while also Shinigami.
2. Why would Isshin let someone experiment with his body? Especially if it is hollowfication.
3. He has an inner hollow, like everyone. Because he became a shinigami again through Urahara in a special way, his hollow was passiv, but active when he was in lethal danger. Unlike the hollow from the people, that became shinigami through death and the SS academy.
-> Because of his special cirtumstances, his fights in the SS, his hollow came out and later on he was able to take out his mask by his own will.(It just appeared in his clothes...) -> later he got the normal vaizard training bla bla bla...^^
4. There is not even one vaizard, that has gotten hogyoku "treatment" in order to get vaizard/hollow powers.

Mmmm... And why Urahara showed us hogyoku while saying "This thing is remedy for them! Probably." when he attempted to cure soon-to-become vaizards in the end of the flashback arc then?

I see it as Vaizards were created (as Vaizards we know) through hogyoku, while Ichigo gain his hollow side thanks to the shattered shaft treatment.

Aizen said, that Urahara never used it. Urahara tried to stop/destroy the hollow parts in the Vaizarads, but we never saw anything that is clearly showing us that the Hogyokou was part of the process.

You may see some things, but Kubo showed us other.

Vaizard = Shinigami with hollow powers. They were Vaizard the moment tousen and co slashed them, they just could not controll their powers, their hollows controlled them. Urahara just helped them to withstand them.

Y'know, it is really hard to NOT read this as "I'll use this thingy on them to cure them"...

And so? Did it function? For that we have no proof. We saw how Ichigo got to control his hollow. And it seems like the other Vaizards got the same treatment.

Nah nah, we have proof!

Nah nah, we have proof!Sure enough, it didn't work as he expected -- it didn't turn them back to shinigami. And sure, they had to subdue their Inner Hollows -- they already said that themselwes.

BUT. That you posted is essentially the solid and undeniable proof that he used it on then-to-be-vaizards!!!
Meaning, Vaizards came in direct contact with hoguoku, while Ichigo not.
