Team 7(old school) Vs Pain and Konan

As it is right now if this was to take place who wins? This means at their current power level :eyeroll

Sasuke,Sakura,Naruto and Kakashi vs Pain and Konan

if it's gennin team 7, pein and konan wins...or should i just say pein. no offense, but that's a dumb match up. If you're talking about present day team 7 and not pretimeskip 7, they might have a small chance, but pein would still win.

@ BEAN, When I say old school I meant the team as it use to be, No Sai or Yamato, the original. Im talking about everyone at there current power levels.

To answer my own question I think, Team 7 wins this. Sasuke and Kakashi both have the MS, Naruto's the shadow clone master and Sakura can heal with the best of them. Kakashi and Sakura should be more than enough for Konan, while Naruto and Sasuke both at full strength together could handle Pain from what we've seen so far. 2 or 3 tail's Naruto shadow cloning his ass off, using frog summons and rasengans. While Sasuke uses His new MS,snake summonings,chidori and multiple jutsu's could beat Pain. Granted Pain probably has more ability's we've yet to see.

as of now, pain and konan would win hands down. pain killed jiraiya, jiraiya is a guy who could pwn team 7 and kakaishi (hell u can throw in tsunade and orochimaru and he would still win)

Pain's Summon alone would be too much to handle for them.
Chidori, Rasengan and alike all fail at the Absorbing guy.

Naruto cant some from a dead spot with any of his Bunshins, coz Pain has none...

They might have a chance if they know just what they are about to face. but not knowing what each of the Pain's body can, they will lose pretty sure.

Even one massive summon will be turned against Pein; used to counter his other giant summons until Sasuke gets close.

And I'm sure Sakura and Naruto will do something besides watch Sasuke be awesome. Not much, but look at it this way: Absorbing Pein absorbs jutsu. Not pure chakra, as far as we know. He can't endure the attacks from 3 tail Naruto, nor can he absorb Susanoo's totsuka, or Sasuke's Kusanagi. Now, what if Sasuke used his Sharingan not to supress the Kyuubi...but enhance it's influence over Naruto? Not saying he can...but it's not entirely impossible. MS controls the Kyuubi, so I won't rule that out.

So we've got a bunch of giant frogs fighting Pein's giant summons, Sakura to tear Konan's paper apart, and Sasuke to umm...be Sasuke. I mean, Long Hair Pein is probably just a body specifically designed for Taijutsu from what I've seen. Taijutsu vs. Sharingan = autofail unless you're rediculously fast. Pein would have to atleast be Itachi's speed to get the drop on Sasuke (he isn't). Absorbing Pein can't absorb Genjutsu, and on top of that, since all the bodies share eyesight, Sasuke or Kakashi would only need to genjutsu one of the bodies inorder to render them all stupified.

Technically Speaking. Sasuke with Prep would hold his own for awhile and with the kiss of kishi he can win. But Sasuke with prep plus team and Sasuke and co have a huge chance at taking down Pein. Specialy if they know his secret.

Thing that was setting Sasuke and Itachi so far apart was Experience and MS. MS is in his possession(most likely has something between EMS and MS) and Sasuke is gaining experience fast. S-class after S-class and winning with his Sharingan wide open. Now about to take on 8 tails. By the end of the manga Sasuke will be able to w/o pis solo all characters in naruverse.

Just this detail bugs me. Genjutsu is by definition, an infection of chakra systems. Pein has 6 bodies, therefore 6 chakra systems. As far as I know, genjutsu doesn't spread like disease, it affects everyone or it doesn't.

The way I see it, a minimum of 6 genjutsus would be needed to trap all 6 bodies. If only one was caught, I'd take it it'd be like Pa toad said, Pein's vision is like small security cameras. If one was caught in genjutsu, one "camera" would show something different from the other 5 and he could just chose to ignore it.

Anyways, I wouldn't really say much since we know very little of Pein at this point.

Pein solos. Their only hope is Sasuke and I doubt even he could stand up to Pein full power as he is now. And I don't count his MS because he hasn't mastered it.

Even after Pain was handicapped, full knowledge of his powers, help from Minato,Toads and Hinita, Naruto still would've died in Pain wanted to kill him instead of capture. So if you think Naruto can defeat Pain think again.

Also, I'm not so sure if Kakashi can defeat Konan, i think he would need Sakura for support.

No he wouldn't, Naruto is practically the same shinobi that fought Pain. He is training on a Jutsu but its not finish. Kyuubi mode don't seem to make much of a difference since we don't much about it powers.

Yea it depends on whether or not if Pain knows about Naruto abiites on how fast he would kill him. I'm sure Naruto will be much stronger,and could possibly defeat Pain by himself, but we can't prove that.

Just like Sasuke, we have to judge him from his last battle and powers displayed from his fight with Danzou. Yes he has EMS, but we have no ideal on what it can do.
