can anyone figure out what's going on with the random hunter corpse lying in/next to the pool of blood in the second pic?

does anyone else think it would be hilarious if osaka was transferred back but tokyo wasn't? seriously, oku would make me die from laughter if the transfer was confirmed, but only for nerdo and the osakan bitches.

Unless the nerdo is not a beginner, I can't see him bringing back anyone right now... unless he is the one who actualy killed nuri O_o. So, if this is true, we won't have kurono back.

HS death seems probable. And if he is dead, all I'm saying is: I called it and I hope you HS fans realize that nobody in this manga has plotarmor.

if this is the end it was the great ending to a great arc...i've been going all year with this arc. i dont understand the people that are even tho the arc is over they are STILL saying wahhhhhhhhhh im so glad the arc is over the arc is finally over blah blah blah and then you go on to tell your opinion on whatever the f you want. then after bitching you should write and draw gantz and make it 1000000000000x better.

i really liked this arc and the ending is fucking awesome if you guys cant see that... all nerdo did was want to get out of gantz. he went through alot of crazy shit and he is the first person on the osaka team to want to use his points to save someone for katou, because katou showed him the difference between egotistical idiots like the multi clearers on osaka.

Nerdo probably has a decent amount of points from when he ran around with nuri's head...

I doubt that Kei is actually dead, it's going to be great, Katou is going to say "I want to revive Kei" and Gantz is going to say "Wrong."
On the down side of that, Kei is probably paralysed in a hospital or something.

well the main point of this mission would be the element of surprise. The theory is that nuri preps himself for the blow and thats how his regeneration works. We still dont know if katou gets the points nuri could have died before katou blasted him

It worked on him this time only because of HS, if it weren't for him, he probably would have "perceived" the attack and regenerated from it, but since he got slashed from behind, he was caught off guard by Katou as well. Also I would assume it's because he was severely weak from all those attacks he was taking from everyone as opposed to last time when he knew exactly what was happening to him, then Nishi used the gun. This situation is entirely different, he's been hit again and again by attacks he has no idea where they are coming from.

Kurono is a very special case, he died at the vol 20 and Oku used his death to introduce Kato as the new man character.

Anyway, i hope we see the Osaka Room one more time in the 279. I fear that no one would ask anything to anyone...:p

katou deserves the kill. he was the only person who cared about anyone elses life in the fucking mission, the only one that had the courage to stay and fight, and he got his freaking legs and his new slice blown to shit for it.

@shizon - hs is a douche. its too freaking easy to figure out what he would do with the 100points. if katou gets the points, hs still has to go on gantz missions. thats good story if you ask me.

i don't get the feeling that hs would leave. he'd have to stay to make sure chigusa survived long enough to get out/revive her if she dies. after her vulnerability was proven in this arc, there's no way he'd leave her. if he didn't care, like he claimed, he would have just left her body lying on the ground after fighting the samurai. instead, he carried her limp body all the way back to the tokyo team and probably found her a relatively safe place to rest before helping against nura. if she doesn't die by the time he gets 100, he'll keep his points in reserve for a rainy day. also, if oku wants to introduce point banking to the series, then hs would be a plausible character to use to that end.

hmm if kei is bought back i think the next mission is gonna be a vampire hunt and HS will have to pick a side lol.... meaning he is gonna die in that mission. or become a good guy, which i don't want..

well with the kill on nuri, we noticed when katou was aiming nuri turned to him and went ?! lol meaning oh shit!?

After Oka sliced Nuri, the alien went K.O. immediately. Even if he was prepared for it, Nuri still went K.O. for a while.

It seems that is a bit different now...Hikawa sliced him and the alien is still fighting, can't tell for sure until the Chapter is out but it seems so.

Maybe Nuri's brain in this last form was more resistant.

he'd go back to headquarters and say, "i quit, bitch!"

seriously, are the vamps able to detect the chips without special equipment, which they probably wouldn't think to use on a fellow vamp? most of the times they've found hunters have been due to missions and randomly placed scouts. if they could detect the chips, then izumi wouldn't have been the only one being hunted before the oni mission. most of hs's actions in this mission have been fairly covert/in line with vamp allegiances. he killed aliens in self defense and killed a hunter. outside of that, he hasn't been around the newsworthy/popular events. i also doubt that people hung around to take photos of the final fight this time (in the oni mission, the human observers weren't directly targeted until the boss went crazy so they were around to capture the interesting stuff). i think just about everyone, including the sdf, ran away after nurazilla showed up and displayed his long range attacking capabilities. as long as there are no pics of him slicing nura, i think he could get away with pretending to still be a loyal vampire, assuming he believes they pose a threat to him. you've got to remember that before he "disappeared," he killed akira, who turned out to betray the vamps, izumi, and kurono, who was considered the leader of the team. he's probably got a bunch of medals waiting for him when he gets back. if there's no evidence against him, there's no reason to distrust him.

About HS "death" ;

Someone notice something on ritual scan forge, they said that is looks like Hikawa was trying to avoid the lasers that were coming from Nura's eyes. So that means that they Katou actually got the kill with the H-gun blast, since he was still "alive" when he got slices. So HS KO'd him, Katou finished him.

Maybe also he'll instaure a new way of thinking in the vamps mind about the current situation with the vamps. There seems to be no actual leader in Tokyo, except for him. After that mission, now that he knows that the Gantzers are forced to participate or else their heads explode, he'll probably have more sympathy towards them.

I really dont think it would be that hard for HS to stay in the game. Even though it seems like years to us in the gantz universe the hunts are only a few hours long and once every 12 days. But yea if he survives I see him staying in, could be to protect the chick vampire or could be just so he can learn more about the hunters, keep your friends close and your enemies closer right? Seriously though if kaliayev is right it would suck to be in gantz.

@gantzfan - Plot armour does in fact exist in Gantz. The very fact that Katou survived this mission at the expense of Anzu's life is a testimony to that. Also I will not bring up the 200 miraculous ways in which Kei survived the first phase... You just don't get it on the same scale as LotR etc. when noboy but Boromir could actually die...

Also, I'm depressed that there will be at least 4-5 chapters inside the Gantz room before we leave it and can move on with the story... We won't be seeing a new mission until next year! The horror! Well at least nuri's finally down...

nerdo is saying he will revive her instead of going free. he def doesnt have 100 points now we can assume when he gets them he will use them to revive her.

Actually, Kaze has a LOT of plot armor. Well, not exactly plot armor: Oku and all of us fans like the big buffoon. In the real world, he would have the life expectancy of a Chihuahua who's constantly tackling a pit bulldog. But we all like the guy, so Oku hasn't killed him yet. In the fight with Nurari, it was extremely unrealistic that Nurari just beat him senseless then left. Same goes for the Oni mission; Kaze should have been dead long ago, but somehow his luck just keeps holding. It's getting more and more unrealistic that he somehow escapes death every time even though he is physically battling monsters who are much more powerful than he is.

Not so for Takeshi. I predict that he will get killed in some horrible way next mission.

In fact, none of the rest of the team has complete plot armor. The star of this show is Gantz. He is the only character with 100% bulletproof plot armor. He has to live till the very end. The whole team can die, and we'll all keep reading, just as long as Gantz continues to be the same sadistic bastard who sends all those dearly departed to their second deaths.

I've been wondering about that pic of Nerdo telling Katou that he will rez Anzu. Katou's lying in a pool of blood. Evidently, nobody shot him with the pistol to cauterize the wound, like he did for Kei during the 1000 arms mission, and I would assume somebody has been doing for the wounded in every mission since, as they don't bleed out. It's altogether possible that he will die before the transfer. Wouldn't that be a shame? Katou kills not one but TWO probable 100 pointers, (Nura and 1000 arms) and dies in the process both times? :)

Will Nerdo even remember that Anzu died? I don't think he will rez her, because he got hurt early in the mission. Katou might go to Osaka for nothing. IF he lives.

One overlooked possibility: Nishi knows about the other teams; he might have been in joint missions before; he was hunting the big enemies when he attacked Nura, so he probably got a lot of points. He might just decide to rez Oka. Or some other badass character that we don't even know about from before he was killed.

hmm info about gantz...well they don't know much about gantz, plus the whole country knows about the aliens fighting the 'people in black' so why would HS head blow if he said look i am n the people we r fighting r force to fight aliens, vamps say dude we know, we saw it on tv n stuff
the plot should be going somewhere know, oku hinted on 1 page 1 about how will the country react to this invasion tradgey.

Think of it this way. You're in a Gang and people seen you in this gang said gang. You guys have a street war, killing one another and bystanders get in the way. Which you start blabbing out how you're in this gang yadda yadda and such. This makes some people want to know who's your leader and find him and confront him as well as the gang members. Not only will you be in trouble for blabbing but you'll be in trouble with the other gang members. This is way Gantz kills anyone who blabs about any info on him, because it would get the FBI,cops, Japanese, German, American government Vamps would go hunt Gantz and kill him.

One overlooked possibility: Nishi knows about the other teams; he might have been in joint missions before; he was hunting the big enemies when he attacked Nura, so he probably got a lot of points. He might just decide to rez Oka. Or some other badass character that we don't even know about from before he was killed.
I seriously doubt it... I mean he wants to get outta the game so bad, especially in the earlier chapters remember?

But he also saw what happened to Kei when he left. Hikawa was in there and knows what all of them look like. No one will be safe if they leave, they'll be sitting ducks without their memory. Izumi went down with a fight but almost made it thanks to the suit and his memories.

No need to merge. It's clear that the Tokyo Gantz can at least send the team all over Japan. Also, since Nishi and Izumi knew about Gantz team in other countries, it's possible that they had done another team cross-over mission thing at some point, meaning Gantz should be able to send it's team anywhere. If it can do that, then there is no need for a merge. If Nishi has actually worked with other countries before, then it's probable that the teams won't be merged.

Because I'm obsessed, I went back to the convenience store and read it again.

I noticed a couple minor things I didn't get right the first time.

1. Katou doesn't shoot before HS dodges; he shoots after. The sequence is that HS sees Katou aiming, HS flies off (literally seems to fly), Nuri eyes notice Reika (while looking for HS probably), and Katou remembers his brother and Kurono right before hitting Nuri with the finishing blow (it actually reminded of the last scene in the movie Jaws for some reason, but anyway)

2. I now am reverting back to my original translation for Kuwabara... he's asking for sex -- not to be killed... Kuwabara is awesome.

By the way, the thing that has shocked me most is that, according to the spoiler script, Higawa is dead, smashed by the H-Gun! I can't believe that he is dead, he is to cool to die! He was just fighting Nurari, how could Kato shot him?! If he's really dead, I'll hope that Kato dies in every chapter, till he'll really die.

Don't worry. Katou was not transfered yet either. But they will.

I'm glad to know there is Gantz next week. It must be that there isn't any kind of action. It is easier to draw. There were a couple of chapters like this in the begining of the current arc.

After rereading Gantz over the past 2 days I'm left wondering...Did they ever completely confirm that Kei was dead in the first place?

To me it seems more and more likely that Katou will try to revive Kei, only to find out that he isn't even dead and was rescued and resuccitated in one way or another.

I think that would qualify as a pretty good twist too...anyways can't wait til the next chapted to see how the points are divvyed up.

That double page spread of Katou after he gave the finishing blow and the girls walk up, is badass. I'm curious as to what they are all gonna say to HS after this and I hope Kurono comes back. It's pretty clear HS started fighting because well, he just wants his finger back for one and to get the hell out of there since he had a bomb in his head. But perhaps he can actually sympathize with them a little, of course, keeping his badass nature in tact. Someone can feel remorse for the people they kill ;P

In the streets of Osaka, Kato lies in the floor. In Tokio Ayumu is still waiting for his brother.

Some people are already in the room. Finally Hikawa and the vampire girl arrives to the room, but Kato isn't transfered yet.

Ayumu prays for his brother. And asks god to someohow bring his brother back.

Kato wakes up and says his brother name...finally he is transfered back to the room.

The scores begin.

Kato watch his score and think if he should choose the 1 option while thinking in Ayumus face. The Old man also recomends Kato to choose the 1 option very gently. Reika and Sakurai doesn't say a word about it...

But finally, Kato revives Kurono.

Next Chapter, Kurono has been revived. There is joy but also a new development will come!: 11 September (YJ# 41)

there are not two kuronos. gantz made the copy mistake with a girl that committed suicide. i dont think tokyo's gantz gets many suicides, kishimoto seems to be the only one in the manga.

Well, i'm disappointed, many points were lost, and Tokyo gantzers did pretty much like doing "oh, ah" instead of fighting for real. Also, too bad Sakata died, Cherry could die instead of him. Oka scored pretty fairly, however he died, from the beginning he was appearing as one-shot character, such as Homo or Satoko. Hell, even those were better developed than Oka.

I think that gantz's scoring is based on how much pain in the ass aliens were to the players. If Host Samurai had a hard time with alien folks with swords, then he'd fight few chaps more, and propably scored much more points. He scored only 20 per head, beacuse the fight between them lasted for about 2 chaps, even shorter. Cut finger and tie has nothing to do with the scoring.

Kid really kicked ass in this chap, I think he could be one of the toughest gantzers in future.

Panda's score is just ridicioulus. To think that an such lazy animal can score faster than Reika or the baldy is strange.

yeah its kei alright. Has anyone considered what HS will do seeing the guy he just killed coming back like this.
Fortunately for him Kei is back in the suit and has probably forgotten all of the events following his last departure from the room. The way it ended with Reika's words and him questioning them I'm almost sure that will be his last memory, why else focus on his thoughts then?

Anyway like I thought Katou and Nishi are the only ones with over 50, and HS is in 3rd. No one will question Kei's judgement as leader in bringing back those 2 in that order now. Hoi Hoi must've been out there panda mauling his oponents. From what I hear Panda's are pretty dangerous in real life (or was it koalas?). Maybe he'll be the one to bring back Izumi at this rate...

uh, no. nura's point total was calculated before anyone fought him. points are calculated objectively; scoring has nothing to do with relative threat level.

i do not like the problems presented by the possibility of a permanent character save.

Hey guys im new to the forums but iv been a huge gantz manga fan from day one and you guys seem like alot of fun, and so this is were i will settle to discuss gantz you will all be seeing me alot now lol.

Heres my 2 cents on all this.

I belive that alot of stuff that oku does is is very significant. Over time I discovered that this manga was much better planned then most. For example I believe he knew how it would end from day one. For the life of me I had no idea why he would keep Hoi Hoi for so long, but now I see. I am almost 90% convinced he will use hoi hoi to bring Izumi back. Now before you think that's absurd think of this. Gantz has proven in the past that he can communicate with the animals. This is demonstrated when he insulted the butter dog. Now that hes shown that Hoi Hoi can score points somehow, weather it be eating one point fish aliens or what ever, he will some how express to gantz his desire to see Izumi back when he achieves 100 points. Im starting to believe Oku plans everything.

@kozar927: Nice theory. If Hoi Hoi ever survives to reach 100 points then that is probably what he's going to do; revive Izumi. It'd be a little weird, but at least it's possible the top four players will be stuck in the room at the same time, (Kei, Katou, Nishi and Izumi). (edit: As good as HS is with a sword, he's going to have the same weaknesses Kaze has if he doesn't use the equipment)

Anyway, it looks like that we'll have about half of Kurono back by the end of the chapter... I predict the rest of him will show up next time, and we might get a mixture of confusion, tears, and probably a flashback of Katou's brother... he just can't help himself with those flashbacks...

Man I can't believe Kurono's back after one damn mission. I mean they could have kept the suspense running longer. Now, Gantz is like a mob game i.e.

What's weird is that they brought back Kei when he was free. Tae was also free, actually never a gantzer, but she got revived home. Kei logically should have the same fate. Bringing him back REALLY cheapens the value of human lives. Kei died like a rockstar, now he was revived like a Arnie in his crappy movie. I wonder how they will explain to him, again, that he died and he's back in the room, slaving for the guy that treats him like a little perv. He will need better strategy than just running up front to some aliens because the game just cranked. I think the aliens are going to reappear faster than they think and the next mission will be very soon. It's an all-out war and there will be no treaty, no holding back. They don't seem to be able to communicate. And now with the presence of a God in the manga, everything changes. The Gantzers must come prepared. I think it'll hit that direction, an über-overpowered alien that has a clique of demonic foes. My prediction is the western legends such as the devil, Jesus and others.

njt , if you do not mind, would you be able to teach us a little about Japanese mythology? It could be a good guide to the future.

@TheGenius: Gantz probably stopped recording Kei's data when he bought his freedom, which is why he and Tae have different revival experiences. (Tae was recorded outside of Gantz as a civilian into the memory, not as a Gantz player)

Sorry I don't keep up with the Gantz discussion forums...but why are people assuming that Gantz needs to transport people in order to get them in his memory? Doesn't Gantz grab people from all over the city just before they are about to die, people who have presumably never had anything to do with him before? I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that the Gantz system simply downloads a copy of everyone within range just before they die. If not everyone, then at least the people who are dieing when he is looking for new players and people who have been in his systems before.

I would thoroughly hate that. So you must be part of the " Kei was alive" theory. I cannot think that a mangaka would create so much deception when he wrote that Kei was dead. Usually, when they fancy such theories, they take a characters point of view and afterward, skip the subject totally. Oku writes too many comments about it all.

Well if that really is Kurono in the spoiler pic then that means Izumi can definitely be revived (and that biker guy who died in between the second and third mission, but who cares about him?), my guess is that there's a save file for every gantzer even if you choose option 1. Oh yeah I think I know how Hoi Hoi might have gotten 40 points if that turns out to be true. Remember the crapload of 1-point aliens that stood before Nuri in the chapter we found out it was a 100-pointer? Sure a whole bunch of them melted when Nuri started transforming but there were so many that some of them may scattered and ran away, unfortunately they had to meet the likes of Hoi-Hoi!!! But seriously if that's how it went down that means Hoi-Hoi took down 40 of those bastards, Hoi-Hoi for the win! lol

They never confirmed the identity of em when he got hit by the train so its not like they would say this boy died twice, and with all the chaos going on their world im sure one death wouldnt be reported to heavily, but maby im missing your point.

that was because of gantz... this time gantz didn't do anything, gantz took katou n kei when they died from the train, but he didn't take kei would hs killed him.
remember the big problem happen at osaka and i guess if there is a death in toyko a hour before the tradegy people will investigate it for any connextion.

there would be no phoenix down unless say that oka used 100 points to bring another copy of himself so that there are 2 oka's just in case one died.
so that would be pick number 3 and look where yourself is on the databank and ask for that, gantz would easy make a copy since he copy them all before they get hurt. he prob makes the other body explode then produces a copy. like nnot sure in the manga but at the end of the 1st mission they had all the dead gantzers explode in the anime. or maybe the laszer gantz use's scans over the injury and heals it to how it was before the mission. that would be like cut and paste instead of copy lol

Also i think that Gantz firstly was quite a silent game, all that hiding and shit. He had to somehow deal with the dead gantzers and tons of huge aliens flesh.
The idea of all-out scale war is very young, it began in previous mission. But i wonder what happened to those gantzers, who have fallen in Nuri mission?

About this hate/love theory:
It's kinda interesting how driving in the same cart can unite even the worst enemies. Before this mission it was appearing like host samurai will pwn some gantzers even before mission start. And what happened? He suddenly stopped fighting, and so gantzers. They now outnumbering the vamps stood a chance to wipe out the big one, the one, who killed rapers in dino mission, who almost killed baldy afterwards, who killed izumi, finally- those, who killed Kurono in front of the "good ol' gantzers team".
Something's fucket up here.

well the love/hate theory its kind of a truce or seize fire pact. they all have to battle to live and escape gantz but the way things are going and i am sure kei dying and the osaka dissaster will make them question about if they should fight to end all of this or try to go home even though are they still targets. kei won't remember izumi's death or himselve being killed by host samurai but he will remember their kind of face off before the oni boss but he will stay calm and question why host samurai is here. i am sure host samurai is gonna demand some answer's about the points and why kei is alive.

Coming to think of it, he won't remember the scoring since the last "save game" was right after oni mission. He didn't went into gantz memory, while being freed outside. Also, when freeing someone, gantz doesn't really need "versions-up-to-date" of gantzers.

um, wouldn't all the remaining vamp corpses just burn up at dawn? i doubt the police would be able to connect anything to vamps if their evidence disappeared. plus, it probably would have taken a lot longer for the police to get any news about the attack on kurono than it did for the attack on izumi (his was right outside a subway station where lots of people would have found out and called it in, after running away that is). outside kurono's apartment, the vamps killed anyone who was curious enough to poke their heads out the window (meaning the rest probably fell victim to the bystander effect) and knocked out the power. hmm, maybe the power outage was the reason tae was calling him.

i just realized something. isn't the figure in the pic too tall to be kei kurono (still looking for ways to deny)?

the police would get there quick....if a fight happens on the streets here the cops pop up in 20 or less mintues.

hmm well they could because his death happen just before all of this and not to forget the akira head and the dead vampires with no upper bodies thanks to kei. but what i am trying to say is even if its miles away they would still comfirm that a student was killed on that night by the looks of it as a sword. plus with lots of dead vampires and another student dead from a sword. the police would notice its got to be the same killers that killed izumi from the sword attack.

Thousands dead in Osaka and you actually think a police officer is going to stop and think, "Hey, wait a minute... wait just a goddamn minute... there was a teenage boy in Tokyo that got stabbed fifteen minutes before the aliens invaded... jesus christ... WHY DIDN'T I SEE IT BEFORE!? This kid was obviously killed and resurrected by an enigmatic force, and summoned periodically to fight evil at night!! Those guys in the suits finally got him... There's only one explanation for those suit-wearing, child-killing bastards... To the untrained eye they may appear to be simple gangsters, but no! That's what they want you to think! The truth is far more subtle. They are actually aliens sent from Mars to assassinate teenagers from Tokyo, so that the invasion in Osaka may progress unhindered! I have a very hard time with this whole save on first injury. I think it dosent always work that way. I think its a concept all too challenging to be consistent with it. I dont think even Oku thinks about it as much as some people here. Its just too hard to define exact peramiters for memory save phenomenon.

I don't know about anybody else but i really want to see a confrontation between the gantz team and the vampires because I just see it as unrealistic for host samurai not be mad at the fact that the guy he just killled an hour ago just come back in tip top shape, I would like to see a fight in the gantz room, there might even be one , I think it said in the spoiler something about,"hope but a new development occurs next chapter!" Maybe this will be it.

not necessarily. remember, tae lives within 500 meters of kurono (both of their houses were within the boundaries of the tae mission and it didn't take him very long to run to both). if she decided to go to his house after he didn't answer, she would have found the corpse of the ex-hunter. actually, at this point, that's the only scenario that would make me feel better about a past save of kurono being revived in 279/280.

I'm interested in HS reaction.

He might try to tell the other vamps to stay aways to this particular gantz group only.

Now that he has 40+ points he's going to to be curious about the 100 point reward. And he knows, fighting Naryu, that he needs the other gantz people to score points.

My prediction for HS reaction will more of curiousity in an uncaring manner but not violent.

However, since Kurono is back he will remember HS as the one who killed his brother. That could spell tension or trouble all-together.

I do like the idea that the orig Kurono didn't die, so there will be 2. One for Tae and one for Reika! Can't wait to see Kurono and Reika's sex scene :D

we were talking about a cap for missions. It looks like you can only get 100points per mission and only 100points. as far as the oni mission went, everyone already had points prior to the mission, and thats why after the oni mission people had 100+. Katou had 0 points at the start of the nuri mission.

man you have long posts full of pointless things on how you think the story should be. kurono is not on a high throne. gantz likes kurono, and he fucks with him to see his strength. im guessing gantz loved the fact that katou won that mission with osaka's team being there. kurono coming back actually makes the story even crazier. Think about it, there are plenty of reasons. not to mention your a kishimoto fan... ugh... at least reika can fight... kishimoto let friendly dogs rape her. and the ganja quote and the rasta quote... man all i can say is lol.

Half the team got zero points because they DIDN'T KILL ANYTHING. Katou was killing aliens stronger than the ones Takeshi killed. The only explanation is that there is a point cap during missions. The maximum you can earn per mission is 100 points.

Bringing him back REALLY cheapens the value of human lives. Kei died like a rockstar, now he was revived like a Arnie in his crappy movie.

I find it brilliant, actually. The fact that that was the intention all along, that no matter how one things his life is significant, either he gets smashed by other creatures in an instant, or he gets revived again and again to relive a life of endless fighting ahahahaha. Brilliant. It means there's just no escape, TG, even if you wanted to. There is no peace.

i simply refuse to believe that oku would give hoi hoi 40 points without showing the creature since 241. if she is truly badass enough to score that well, then i wanna see her fight (scoring 40 points as an animal is like melding izumi, kurono, and kaze together and then pumping the chimera full of steroids). when you think about it, the tokyo team sucks for ditching hoi hoi every stinking mission.

p.s. kaze has brought a rifle with him on every mission since the ring, yet he never fires one. why the bloody hell did he even bother picking one up in the first place?

If I were Inaba I'd stick with hoi hoi from now on. think about it... 40 points. either hoi hoi rammed 40 1 pointers like a bowling ball or he really did fight AND kill at least 2 aliens at the same level as the two samurais that HS killed.... there's definitely something about that panda bear. I'm glad oku didn't just forget about it like he did the dog in the first few missions (even though they added his death in the anime)

who knows... maybe you guys really are on to something with the whole hoi hoi reviving Izumi.

One of the gantzers points out that he liked Izumi, and might be interested in reviving him. [[Which would be weird considering most of them would just encourage each other to free themselves.]]

Hoi hoi jumps around when they say Izumi's name, and the gantzers say Hoi Hoi wants number 3. Then, the gantz database opens and hoi hoi points at Izumi's picture.

Izumi is then revived, mad about dying, etc. He asks who revives him, looking at Kurono, or maybe Nishi. The gantzers tell him it was hoi hoi, she jumps on Izumi and hugs him.
