I just bought the Art Book for H-K! It is oversized in height and all in color. It is sooooooooo cute. it's called The Art of Hana Kimi and was under $20 at amazon.com. I love it!!!!!

I find that the artwork for Hana Kimi is more focused on the guys, as they (Sana, Nakatsu etc.) seems to be drawn hotter than the main female lead. Besides, there seems to be hint of yaoi, but its not?! I thought it was an enjoyable read but it din remain impressive enough to be etch in my mind.
Anyway, for those who're curious, there's a taiwanese drama based on the manga Hana Kimi that is just aired recently in Taiwan. Will put up the link later. :amuse

I don't think Hana-kimi will be animated though. It's pretty old, compared to ouran high that's still ongoing. And the excitement for it has died down since the manga's completed.
Especially with shojou anime, they animate what's hot on the recent ratings.

I enjoyed Hana-kimi though. Very fun read. I'm interested in seeing the Taiwanese Live-action...

Hrmm, It is true, Hanakimi is somewhat similar to Girl got Game.. Haha. just noticed, forgive that nonsense. Although the characters in HanaKimi are more shy and much more romantic, in Gx3 the characters seem so loud and fun, ( in my opinion ).

Awww I absolutely loved Hana Kimi! I read it whole in about 5 days! :P
I really recommend it to read for any shojo fans, especially people who like stories about love involving really cute characters in a quite realistic story.. +cross dressing +open on different kinds of sexuality +lots of humour :)

really Mizuki and Sano are such a cute couple :) what I particularly liked about this manga were the characters! -really sweet, really funny and really realistic at the same time (maybe apart from Kayashima! :P). and I like how its so open about gays - Umeda rules!!! :) and about hetero guys who are not afraid to admit that they like another guy - like Nakatsu (at least from his point of view for most the time :P) or Nakao (such a sweet boy :) )

I wonder if I am the only one who was not really satisfied with the ending... I really had hoped that she would graduate together with the guys.. and with all the people supporting her for it to end so suddenly was kinda disappointing for me.. well I guess I prefer happyends to realistic ends! :p

Also at least the special ending volume could have been a bit longer and more detailed! we didn't get to see how is Umeda (and if Akiha is still after him :P), Io-san, or Ritzu.. and I wanted to see Sano's dad and Shin finding out about Mizuki! :D Maybe I'm too attached to this manga, but I do admit I got quite attached to all the characters :)

If any of you don't know, Japan's Fuji TV is making their version of HanaKimi with Oguri Shun as Sano Izumi, Horikita Maki as Ashiya Mizuki and Ikuta Toma as Nakatsu. Personally I can't wait. Oguri Shun is one of my favorite Asian actors <3

If its good, I hope a studio recognizes and animates it to :D

This is such a good manga! One of my favorite shoujo, gender bender.
l like the art in the middle, cause it improved much from the beginning, but the at the latter parts, it tend to change.. but still nice.. and High recommendable!!!

I'm still wondering how come they haven't made this into anime, such a funny and good story. But yeah, they already started the drama the jap version, I've only seen the first 3 episodes, liked it, though they changed some parts..

I finished reading Hana Kimi quite some time ago and it's really good. Definitely a reverse harem and totally hilarious. There was a hint of yaoi here and there but surprisingly, I'm not turned off by it. In fact, the way it was potrayed was rather hilarious. I kinda pity Nakatsu because he tot he was turning gay and Kayashima was a hoot! I tot the ending wasn't too bad and their kids are so cute!! I suppose they could have put in more details but a happy ending is good enough for me.

I watched a little of both japanese and taiwan version of Hana Kimi but I kinda prefer the japanese actress as Mizuki better. She kinda fit the cute, pretty boy look that I imagined she should have while the taiwan actress looks a lot like a boy actually. :XD

Anyway a recent special chapter was released this month in Hana to Yume #18! And it features Kayashima~~~!! <3 I put the download link in the Translation Request in hoping someone takes up the job! It's about 30 pages long.

I... haven't read anything about that either. First time I've seen that. I know that the special that was released was a wedding special (not with Sano and Mizuki) it was very good, I liked seeing how they all ended up, Nakatsu is so cute :tem

There is an english group that subbed the japanese drama, I don't know about the taiwanese drama. But the Japanese drama can be found here by the subbing team SARS-fansubs. Its Hanazakari no Kimitachi e under past projects and through BT:

i thought mizuki was so cute in the manga, i just wanted to squeeze her and do her hair or something XD i think nakatsu's feeling for mizuki were interesting (he thought he way gay, and decided he didn't care if it came to that). i feel like he deserved better in the manga... at least to get a great girl of his own.

I don't have the yomikiri of za Hana to Yume, but I've got the one you guys mentioned before about three days after Mizuki left Osaka Gakuen, unfortunately, I don't have a scanner at home, so I can't scan it. But I can still tell you about the story.

The heroine of this chapter is Hanayashiki Hibari, she heard that her "hummingbird" had left Osaka Gakuen, and wanted to find out why, so she disguise herself as a boy who is going to register to study in Osaka, naming Arima Azumi. And she asked Noe and Kadoma about Mizuki, but was unsuccessful. Later Noe, who wishes to work in an animation company, drew the mystery Hibari out, but by that time, Hibari had already retreated.

And actually, just a few weeks ago, there is another Hana Kimi yomikiri in Hana to Yume, about sano and Nakatsu's past, I will come again later and type out the details.

So we have the chap that's 3 days after Mizuki leaves (January 2008), the one about Nakatsu and Sano (July 2008), and the one that came out yesterday, right? Now all we need are the raws -_-
