Okay, thanks to the economy meltdown, I am currently doing nothing at work.... there is just no work to be done cause there are no new projects coming in... not that I'm complaining though :p It has been like this for one month... However if this continues, I will really get worried..... cause an employee with no work = layoff........
Hopes the economy picks up really quick!! :XD

yeah, im gunna have to worry if i dont make it throw school. all of the people losing their jobs are joining the navy and air force => oversaturation of rates => starting next year, the navy is gunna start forcing people out (except for nukes and seals, cus were the vital roles... and they payed a shitton of money to train us, they want their buck's worth) other people in my family are getting layed off now, too.

I don't know... I'd guess that in one year it'll stop the melting, but keep down for awhile. Afterwards we might have a sudden explosion of growth, there's certainly potential for it.

And I don't really think Obama can do that much. The best he can do is help the ones in the worst situations, but the upswing won't come any sooner, if I've understood my economics.

ugg. they're friggin contrails, not chem trails, they occur due to the speed, hight, mass, etc of the plane, and basically are clouds, and as clouds, can dissolve or get scattered by wind.

ugh. this place sucks x.x i've got like 12 hours worth of homework this weekend so far... and thats just comp homework. theyve yet to give us the regular homework. :darn

so check this out; we're in RP, and going over Chernobyl, what went wrong, how we can learn from it, etc. so yeah, these guys had all kinds of conditions they werent meeting to do this test, but they decided to do it anyway. theres a problem, and the core power jumps, making the core hotter. they scram the control rods to prevent fission (shut down the core in a hurry) but the core is already so hot, the tracts that keep the control rods on course melted, and the core failed to scram. the control rod did, however, displace water (which the russians use to prevent fission, so by displacing water, the neutrons were no longer being stopped), causing power of the core to skyrocket (estimated 11000% rated core power). the core undergoes "violent deconstruction" (the shit blew up) killing something like 34 operators instantly, and the rest is history. (none of this is classified (by us) so i can tell you all this)

at this last part, the kid sitting next to me leans over and whispers "In Soviet Russia, reactor fix you" i rofl'd. my instructor thought we were insane XD

We have to read four classes if you study nature science. . and the other programs are like, one, two classes. :(

Well I feel you, I've taken 2 classes too many. Regular science programs(ex: Health Science or Pure & Applied) only require 3 math classes(Calculus1, Calculus2 and Linear Algebra), but my program made me take Calculus 3 and Differential Equations >.> Apparently the last 2 I'll have to re-take in University if I go into certain programs anyways(but I think they get credited IIRC).

Regular science programs(ex: Health Science or Pure & Applied) only require 3 math classes(Calculus1, Calculus2 and Linear Algebra), but my program made me take Calculus 3 and Differential Equations >.> Apparently the last 2 I'll have to re-take in University if I go into certain programs anyways(but I think they get credited IIRC).

Oh, well that's nice! I'm not sure what type of math it is. In our third course or "class" we take both Derivative equations, a study of functions with derivatives, a study of functions, and exponents. So basically it's all about 3rd degrees functions and stuff. :(

Labs are awesome! Yesterday we used GC and HPLC to check out the % of alcohol on my friends home-distilled licker.

We got it to 76.5%

Yup I have an R-score, well, it is the same, if not similar, system.

For the fetal pig, it was fun cutting the pig: I was the one who dissected the most on my team, and I destroyed the thymus and thyroid glands while cutting the skin. I would have enjoyed playing with the pig, but the teacher made sure nobody was "irresponsible or childish" towards the pig, so anybody who played would fail the lab.

For physics, the first three(NYA, NYB and NYC) were ok, i was indifferent about them, but now i am doing a complementary course about engineering, and it the most interesting science course I've done so far, IMO.

I personally dislike chemistry, something about watching acids react with bases or imagining molecules that exist, but way way small.

I personally like math more than Physics, Chem or bio. It is mostly about logic and sense.

I remember my Cal2 teacher making a mention at that, he actually gave a small, slightly detailed lecture on that for one class. He said a similar thing, that we surpassed the limit, but soon we will go under that line, after a war or so.

aaaaah played GoW with a friend today, we were giving him some achievement-points for his profile on 360. Cleared all difficulties and we even took time to get all cog-tags. Tomorrow it's Halo 3 on 2difficulties and on Tuesday we might get into GoW 2 or we finish off Halo 3.

Ouch, that hurts.

Same thing happened to my 360 last summer, at the end of may; had to wait for 3 weeks for the main 360 machine to return from the company, and two months for the power converter to come back.....It was a bad bad experience.

Oh the joys of technology lol :p I remember the day when technology used to be more robust >.>

I once sat on my PS2 and it still worked(albeit the lid being cracked so we got a new one).

Best experience was me dropping my desktop computer on the asphalt driveway while trying to play Ms. Strong and carrying it from the car to home. And lo and ho, it lived! :blink I don't know if computers are still built that robust though since everyone keeps telling me to be careful lol :eyeroll

I think they don't make them as robust so if it breaks, you go out to buy another one unfortunately... I think a shelf once fell on my gamecube, but it still managed to work even though it looked half broken.

Well it's better for the economy that way. You spend more and it's cheaper for them to produce obviously lol :p

Guess that's why I always keep those nice older computer cases when we build new computers since they're made from actual metal, not thin metal or cheap plastic >.>
