Yay, first vote, and I forgot to vote two times... Oh well..

Yes, they were lacking a decent plot... But it's probably hard to make a plot that doesn't expand the main character's abilities.. And make it last for one and a half hour..

Yeah very true, still there should be a decent plot (other wise it ends up looking like a big screen filler episode)

i liked the first two movies i thought they were pretty good and the plot was decent and to be fair almost all anime movies(that are based on shows) have a filler plot its a distraction a very pretty distraction but i really enjoyed the second movie just because we got to learn a whole lot more about the naruto world

a decent plot-line, Im tired of Naruto inspiring the WHOLE freaking world and realizing that, "OMG - I've been living wrong this whole time, THANKS - Dr. Naruto"

....BUT the battles have gotten increasingly better (choreography AND animation style) every time - im looking forward to seeing 3 (if just for the fights)

Nihilism.

i'd fly to jaapn for a movie about naruto vs. a nihilist.

"Yes; Naruto, your frequent appeals to hope and emotion would sway me... if you could prove that this is not all a construction of genjutsu where you insidiously convince me giving into agreeing with you, causing me to lose something important to me in "Reality, and that such a proof, when presented; is not a furthering of that or a separate illusion".

naruto: ". . ."

Sounds philosophial ^_^;

Plot will be the most problem. Seriously, instead of just making a totally different storyline, why not make a movie that has connections with the manga?

And a ninja battle. Yes a NINJA battle. I mean those lightning fast Taijutsu, the flashy Ninjutsus and some beautiful genjutsus too. Maybe what I said is too much, but it would be a great treat to the fan, yes?

Yeap Kakashi Gaiden would have been a great movie. Think abt the high quality fight scenes that could be shown in it :)

LOL i agree. KG as a movie, great animation, chreography etc. NOW a KG movie would be a proper end to part 1 of Naruto IMO

Ssshhh... don't suggest that. It will be nearly a year after the movie is out before it's out on dvd. It will be at least a month before we can get our hand on it :)

Something like that would probably have to be authorized or written by Kishimoto, otherwise it would be considered filler. Also, that topic will probably be explored in the manga anyways, as it would probably show Naruto's heritage.

The plots are kinda weak. I forgot to vote 2 votes, but the second would probably be ninja battles. The ninja battles are even weaker than the plot, as they resemble pretty much those of the fillers, where Naruto just uses kyuubi or rasengan with kage bunshin to win. No strategy and no ninja tricks. Damn it, this is a world of ninja. I just don't hope the next movies end up with having plots like OP movies :offtopic :)

Oh and it seems like the plot of movie 3 is pretty much like that of movie 1. They have to escort a prince here instead of a princess though :s
