[The Adamant Dragon]

'Sup people, here Adamant.

Okay, I want to make a new Manga -- I Already have a story and All -- but I can't quite decide on my Primary Character's (The story's Hero, so to speak) design when using his powers...

My friends and Family will only say positive things no matter what, so I want some Neutral point of View and to know your opinions on Him.... I want to know if his design Gets you easily interested to him... I'm open to critics.

Excuse the Images' Low Quality... I Don't have scanner, so I made some quick Sketches and took some pictures of it with my Camera and here it is.

He's too... generic. You really should give him a shirt. And the vibe I'm getting from him is not that of a hero but a mad-killer villain, ready to go on a murderous rampage (was that unintentional?).

Great Lyra, When your superHero's Vibe is of a Mad Criminal then your manga is sure to be on a rough start...

It's Kinda intentional though, I wanted to show him with his powers Activated ( This isn't his true form ).

As for the "shirt" I'm taking your suggestion seriously, I'll imagine some Original Outfits for the Protagonists, working on it. ---> The manga's story is happening close to a desert in Africa, thus why I originaly had him being Shirt-less.

The other characters are good but the main character sucks. It would only get 7 year olds interested with that look. That design is more for a character who accompanies the main character. The brother looks badass, so make him like that or make him the main character. Even if that isn't his true form, he power mode should look more badass, he looks too friendly, main characters in strong mode don't look friendly. My advice, make his face more badass like his brother even in strong mode.

Good thing you like his Brother's design, 'cause he's got a very important role in the Story. I'll work on my Main character's look and Design while in power mode. The main Character's current Design (as seen Above) will be assigned to another Character who fits it after further Modification. Maybe I'll Scan The First Chapter here when it's finished.

Even When Doing a Small manga like this, trying to come up with original ideas is quite hard to decide on what road the manga should take in order to please everyone (The Majority)... It only makes you give even More Props to the Mangakas inJapan for Coming up with cool Outfits.
