If you look at this page (http://mangahelpers.com/downloads/?lang=jp), you'll see that there are two copies of both this week's Bleach RAW and this week's Naruto RAW uploaded, each by different users. While allowing anyone to upload to the site is a humongous asset, there oughta be some way to prevent the same file from being uploaded multiple times by different people. Of course, common sense would say "have people search for what they're about to post before they post it", but human nature being what it is, common sense is often not the best thing to rely on.

why not block an upload if the file for the same series already matches a filesize of a raw for that chapter? that's pretty much the only way you could tell them alike besides actually opening up and checking.

The problem about that are slow connections: maybe the uploader had been uploading the file since before the other raw had been uploaded, and I don't think it's fair cancelling the upload only because the server already had something similar on the database.
