Asuma Vs. Sasori

Asuma doesn't have anything on Sasori. Frankly speaking, from what we have seen so far, Asuma just can't compare with him.

Asuma seemed like a close-range specialist and Sasori had an arsenal of bad-ass poison weapons up his sleeve. Not that safe to get near Sasori unless you know the tricks and traps to his puppets.

The thing is asuma could have been an extremely powerful ninja. He had both wind and fire elements and we saw just how strong a combination can truly be. It is a shame he died so early.
I think sasori would win. If he can take the stronest kazekage then he can take out asuma

I would like to call this a mismatch and even if the fight goes one, I doubt even the genius tactician Shikamaru could even avenge Asuma.

To defeat sasori asuma would need prior knowledge(as chiyo had), range (which he doesnt have), attacks which can cover large areas and deal a lot of damage (which he never showed). The only things asuma has on sasori is that he can definitely destroy any puppet at close range but unfortunately that is not enough.
Sasori is not the kind of guy who can be taken by just one elite ninja.

I think if Asuma had Chiyo by his side, his odds will greatly increase but then again maybe not. This is because even in the Chiyo & Sakura v Sasori fight, Chiyo and Sakura got poisoned by a scratch by one of Sasori's Sandaime Kazekage jutsu.

But the nice thing about Asuma is that he has wind and fire ninjuts to back him up.

Well asuma does have access to fire and wind jutsus. We know that wind slice and fire burns. The wind can be used to counter poison while fire and wind can be used to destroy the puppets. However, asuma is still outclassed

Well to be fair, no one knew about hidan's abilities, along with him having to protect his charge makes for a tough battle. While I don;t think asuma can win, he is seriously being underestimated

So far, Sasori's poison would prove lethal to Asuma if he got caught and we have not seen any type of dodging abilities from Asuma which compare to Chiyo's.

Well asuma has been stated to be able to use both fire and wind. SO a combination of those 2 elements can take out the poison and teh puppets

Yes, I know, but we haven't actually seen him use any other Fuuton jutsus other than his chakra blades, nor have we seen any other Katons other than that Ash Cloud thingy. We cannot really imagine what type of Fuuton or Katon jutsus he had sadly :(

I can see the ash cloud doing some major damage though, but in the end he would still lose

Sasori was stronger than Deidara,who defeated Gaara,and in a fight one to one Deidara would have won against Kakashi. How the hell can sasori fight against someone who neither Sakura and Chiyo could defeat?
