View Full Version : Request "Active", "dropped" and "completed" translations separation in the sidebar

There are times translators just translate briefly a manga, translating only a few chapters with no intention to translate it any further (or they just lose the interest on the series after translating those few chaps), so the project end up dropped; and still, it's shown in the sidebar as if the tlor was still doing it.

So, my suggestion is to separate the translators pages' sidebars in 3 parts: Active, completed and dropped projects. So that whoever checks his page can quickly see what projects is that translator currently translating and which are actually stopped.

What do you think?

An option to "hide" the sidebar parts (for example, hiding "Dropped" ones and only showing "Active" and "Completed" ones) would also be cool (not so necessary, though).

When a translator has dropped a manga, can remove that manga from his sidebar without the need to remove all his/her translations for that manga. I use that, for example, when I translate chapters of mangas my scanlation group releases, but I don't usually translate. So, I add the manga to the sidebar, release the translation, and remove the manga. But that's not a bad idea anyway.

But then the translations of the manga get lost in the Archive without any quick way to find them, unless you know exactly what you're looking for.

What I want to make with this is that, even if the project is dropped, any visitor would still be able to quickly see what projects have you worked in the past, etc.

Giving an easy example, if someone has translated like 30 random (not successive) chapters of a manga (ie, One Piece), it would be great to still be able to see One Piece as a project in the sidebar and have an easy way to see all those tl listed down; but still see the One Piece project aside from the active ones, since it would be no longer active.
