Where are Nizuma Eiji's parents?

It seems he lives alone. Does he have his own place or are his parents asleep upstairs with earplugs in? Will we ever see them? They did a weird job raising their kid..

Well, they've been mentioned in the past, when they moved with him to Tokyo, but yeah, I don't know what kind of parents would let their son act like that (then again, I can't see anyone ever actually getting through to him long enough to make him change anything in terms of personal habits).

This is a very interesting point. Perhaps Mashiro and/or Takagi will one day got to Eiji's house and meet his parents. I doubt they're like him, though. I think they'll be a bit pleased that their son is already a manga-ka in Weekly Shonen Jump, but concerned about what he'll do with his life if being a manga-ka doesn't work (it's a risky business, because it's very hard to become truly succesful. That's what the first chapter of the series was in large part about, after all), and perhaps a bit concerned by how much of an otaku he is. But those are just my thoughts on the matter, there's nothing really that they're based off of except for logic as to what parents of a guy like Eiji would be like, and that could be faulty. It'll be very interesting to see what they're like if they ever appear in the series, though.

They were in chapter 9, on page 17. They didn't get a lot of attention because the scene was about Eiji saying he plans to end a manga he hates, but they were bowing as the Jump people showed up

They are at his house at whatever town he came from. He went to Tokyo to work with Shonen, so no more parents to see for the moment.

This is a shounen, parents aren't exactly great at their job nor are they ver important except for when they're terrible at being a parent.

Well he moved to Tokyo on his own so we might not see his parents often now (Maybe we wont see them at all)

I'm also curious about Mashiro's father. Saiko talked to him on the phone right on the beginning, right?
I don't know why, but I always tought that his father would be important to the sotry somehow.

Eiji actually gives most of the money he earns to his parents.
Also,he is obsessed with manga,so that's the best thing they can do.

As for Mashiro's father,i don't think he will do anything in the future story.He already helped Saiko,when they were talking on the phone and he won't do anything more.
First of all,he does not seem to be the best father on earth,as Mashiro rarely ever saw him.In addition,Mashiro is already 18 or 19 and is a busy manga-ka,so he does need his father anymore.He will probably be a father himself in 2 years.

That's right they stayed at the countryside while Eiji moved to the big city. After seeing this thread I'm interested in seeing what their personality is like.

They probably will be more calm and collected than Eiji. Genius are strange so unless his parents are geniuses they will pretty normal I guess.
