Claymore 88 - Blind Hunters

Stage Two has begun

The chapter continues where the previous chapter left off, and that was when the demons arrived on the battle scene between Isley and the Duo.

The "personalities" and nature of the Hunters

In this chapter, we get the explanation on the origins of the Demons from Deitrich; and for those who predicted that they were failed experiments were partially right, as these demons are a successful higher class of Claymore, keeping in mind Claymores are biological weapons. The method that the Organization chose to create these monsters is to mix awakened flesh into girls; however, it seems that these special claymores have a big appetite for any awakened claymore flesh, due to the fact that they are partially made of awakened beings.

Also, as a result of this mixing, they lose whatever humanity they had before, and become mindless soldiers only caring about the completion of their mission, which is to destroy any enemy with the power levels of the abysmal ones.

One of their powers

To add to their frightening nature, they have shown abilities that awakened beings can do, such as Isley's shape changing; however, if this is a specific individual ability, which I believe it to be, or a general ability that all of the hunters have is yet to be shown.

Generation abilities

So that's what Milk does to people with very fast metabolisms

Another fearsome ability is their fast, fast regeneration. Luckily, they have the same weakness as any Claymore, and that is they are defeated by decapitation.

And an ironic result of Isley's successful attempt to take out Luciela, he had sent eleven awakened beings to distract the organization; who in turn had used the newly completed Beth and Alicia to get rid of them. The remains of these eleven beings were used to create the hunter claymores.

The hunters, or called Abyss Feeders, were made to get rid of the abysmal ones, and as a result, we see them in action in this chapter attempting to kill Isley. Unable to use their abilities to sense yoki, which was taken away by the Org. to hide the hunters' own yoki, they smell their targets and sense any sudden or fast movements of those around them.

That's what happens when people don't pay attention to their actions....

And perhaps the main reason Isley is acting out of character is because this isn't the first time he fought these "filthy" creature, as he calls them. This, of course, means that Isley managed to get away from them, somehow.

Isley's Power.....

Never mess with a centaur....

And as a great proof of power, Isley easily mutilates three of them while Helen had failed to damage one. However, unlucky for him, the hunters have the scent of his flesh and they just love to complete their mission

Rating: 10/10. Another great chapter, with deep development to a further weapon program from the Organization; a direct proof to show that they aren't just lazing around and losing lands to past failed experiments.
Predictions: I believe we should see any information from Isley, if he is to die by the hands, or in this case, teeth of the hunters. This information should be on either Pricilla or the dragon side.

Any Comments or criticisms are welcome:D

Lol, it was predictable, but seeing Isley fight again is the best part, I hope Riful or some powerful awakened being joins the fight(.....Priscilla:D)

after seeing these filthy creatures,i believe more of the claymores will suspect on the organisation's activities.they seem to hunt awakened beings on the outside yet they have created an even more evil creature by experimenting on claymores.what do you think of this?does the organisation have an explanation to fool the claymores or have they already decided to discard them?

Good Question, Shinsengumi.
Deitrich knew about these hunters and their origins, meaning the Org. isn't keeping them a secret; we already saw how Riful was playing with Renee, as well as Audrey and Rachel. These were among the highest in ranks, but they couldn't do squat against Riful. So they must understand the Org.'s motive by making these hunters.

The Organization can't get rid of the Claymores just yet, because they are still running the normal yoma-killing business, which is their funding. Also, the hunters can be considered as special units only used against high caliber enemies, and not against an average yoma or a weak awakened being.
