Well as the title suggests this is my first clean.
I'd like to know whether this clean is LQ or MQ. (My friend told me it was LQ.)

Raw:

Clean:

If it's LQ, I'd like to know how/where I can improve.

P.S- I know I'm primarily a Proofreader but since most groups/translators think proofreaders aren't really that useful I wanted to try my hand at cleaning.

Thanks~~

Look forward to your advice.

you should maybe try practicing with a MQ/HQ raw instead of a LQ one.

you should maybe try practicing with a MQ/HQ raw instead of a LQ one.

Well,I did practice cleaning the text bubbles of an HQ raw once, but frankly it was boring because there was no leveling/burning/denoising involved at all so it wasn't much of a challenge.

And err.. isn't this an MQ/HQ raw?(I'm assuming by MQ/HQ raws, you mean the ones that come out weekly for OP,Bleach etc..)

And if this is an LQ raw did I at least manage to make it semi-MQ?

(I just looked at it again and I noticed that I've burned some details in so besides that, any other critique is welcome.)

Thanks for the advice though.

MQ/HQ RAWs are defined by the fact that they are at least at 2500-3000px in height, and they are at 300px resolution.

Also, you're denoizing a bit too much, lower your settings a bit.

Ok, thanks.

Edit-Will up another version tommorrow.

Edit-Btw- Would you rate this as LQ?

Hey Amit~

Umm yeah I'd say both the RAW and the Clean are LQ....

You over-denoised... though I guess since you wanted to try to smooth the Grays, but it loss way too much of the details...In situations like these you will have to denoise probably but you try to keep it as low as possible...try to stick to original patterns as best as possible.. careful not to over burn and leave those blurs in the whites.

You should really try to clean with a better RAW so we can comment on it...

Try cleaning with a raw that's 3000px like a reborn! raw or something.

You're still denoizing too much; the grays are blurry.

Good job with the redraws/cloning, the girl's jacket in the middle panel is the only thing really which needs just a bit of working on.

Also, what size was the RAW which you used for the clean?

Hmm,this is a 3303 px raw i think.

Kk.

Well,here's another clean(Frankly I think it's my best one)

A lot better, though you're still denoizing a *bit* too much. Just tone it done a notch or two. :amuse

Also, you're overlevelling a bit; you can tell in the last panel, where you can't see the crowd in the clean, but they are there in the RAW.
