Hmm, seems like they made it really clear that Tousen's bankai is what did Kensei in. That wasn't very clear in the manga until we actually saw that Tousen did it and one frame showed the creeping darkness.

Next episode should be some good fight scenes.

so.. tousen actually seemed to have already used bankai back then..

well, this chapter was quite good, but i think the next ones will be awesome. can't wait to see shinji in a fight for the life of his friends..

The animation didn't seem as good as that of the earlier episodes in the arc, but it didn't detract from the show in any way. So, another good episode of Bleach. If only the manga could follow suit...

Another great episode. I really enjoyed the added scene with Shuuhei taking up the stick against the hollow. I can't wait for the next episode.

Loved this chapter. They did the attack on Kensei & Co really well I reckon, showing Tousen pretending to lie be dead lying to one side on a rock. As far as I can recall the Manga was rather confusing in that part as to what was going on; although perhaps that was its greatest point.

episode was cool.

I guess we see where Hisagi got his inspiration for the tattoo. kensei is a beast!! his shikai was bonkers!! plus his squad have them cool jackets with the writing on the back!! :hearts

shame he got bodied by tousen though :notrust...lulz!

Kensei is definitely one of my favorite characters, he looked so damn cool in that episode... :p

I didn't notice it when reading the manga, but his zanpakuto turns into some kind of dagger when he uses shikai, right ? So when fighting full-hollow Ichigo when the Vaizards trained him, was he in shikai the whole time ?

Yup apparently he was in shikai the whole time while fighting full-hollow Ichigo.

The episode was great. Shinji looked so great. Kensei wow he was cool back then. Much better than he is now.

Really good episode, Tousen's bankai is something huh? It is just too powerful, on most opponents, especially the one's you can catch off guard it would be a instant kill technique.
Kensei looked good too in his moment of glory, I still don't like Tousen in this episode for being a sneaky prick.

Anyway sofar the tbp episodes have been really well made, enjoying this part of the story.
