I don't know how you did it, but I can still see the text in the bubbles. Probably the brush settings are to blame for it. Apart from that theres a lot of dust that still need to be removed. For a first clean I'd say it's ok. You should try pages that have grays next. But before that you still have to perfect the part of cleaning up the dusts manually with a brush. Do that, then move on to grays and borders and finally redrawing. Be patient, cause if it's taking a long to clean a page, it means you are doing it right ;)

Looks like you overlevelled, the blacks look too dark. Be careful with levelling the blacks; it's a noob mistake, and which you'll have to fix. Try the page again, but this time, don't level the blacks as much. ^^

don't use brush tool to clean the bubble text, use masking instead.

check out my site I have on recently.

Brush tool is perfectly fine, long as you have the hardness set to 100%. Just generally best to not mark the scans and instead put it in a new layer.

If the bloodycross one is your new try, you still have some large dirt in upper portion of the page in the blacks. Smudging's visible in a couple places too.

oh yeah, after i saw the dirt at the top bit i cleaned it right away. forgot to update the post..smudging..from the effect of denoising?

Possible or if you used the blur tool. I'm talking about around the pants.

yeah I thought so too about it , wasn't sure How I could reduce the smudging effect though..any ideas? Or should I just soften my denoise settings a tiny bit?

I don't use denoise that much, so couldn't tell ya. Usually people don't use it and just do everything by hand if they're going for hq.

Use a raw other than naurto and use one with grays to practice with.
