Can someone give me hair tips please?

As topic says, could someone please give me some tips on what tools and techniques they use for getting the right outcome with hair? I have photoshop cs3 and SAI at my disposal.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

standard hard round brush...? depends on what you're aiming at, but i use it for everything, just change the flow/opacity settings, piece of cake.

Wash it thoroughly every night. Go easy on the conditioners and treatments, but do use them because they actually work! =D



.....ah, ps-wise, cell-shade the hair for now if you are not familiar with how hair looks. When you feel like you know how hair flows, you can use the good old hard round brush like Lee suggested, and start layering the shades.

I'm no good with hair, so I still cell-shade parts of the mop.
