What is Your Favorite Color Spread?

For the pleasure of the eyes, I've made an album (http://picasaweb.google.com/dom.photo2/OnePieceColorSpread?authkey=Gv1sRgCMz_q6W97NXiIQ&feat=directlink)containing all the One Piece color spread which have been issued so far.
(Well at least I've tried. I may have forgotten one, if so please tell me)

As you will see, some of the color threads are... in black and white. I have put them anyway since they are obviously similar to the current color thread, plus they have been colorized in the color walk (that's why there is 2 of them). However I have not put the black and white covers which were not at double page format (such as chapter 144 (http://www.onemanga.com/one_piece/144/01/)).

Now to discuss about that, what is your favorite one ? Personnaly I have to look at them a little more before I can decide...

Hey, thanks for putting the album together! I had not seen most of those in a long time.

All in all, I still like the early color spreads the best, but if I have to choose a favroite it would probably still be either the one for 464 or the one for 516. i guess I like 464 since it's a bit mafia-esque and that is one of the few cultures I like more than piracy.

I love 516 more every time I see it. It's so reminiscent, seeing every member of the crew just like we did the first time they were introduced.

I do not know about choosing a best color spread but what you have done with the Color Spread Album is great and it is very simple to change from a picture to another. Thanks a lot.

Don't know, I have made myself a repository with all the cover pages that I update regularly and I did this one for a question (http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1328597#post1328597) I asked about cover spread. I thought it would interest other peoples, hence the album but I'm not sure that the mean I choose is good for a long term purpose.

Of those three, I'd have to say that I lean a bit toward the one from chapter 327, but it's a VERY hard choice. I find Oda's color spreads to be wonderfully imaginative, so I love a great deal of them. I would give a lot to have Color Walks 2 and 3 in English, not to mention a fourth one being released in Japan. (Really, it's about time, the last one only went to the climax of the Skypiea arc, we should have one going up to Enies Lobby by now, and we should be near another one going from Enies Lobby through Thriller Bark.)

Note that I left the color spread for chapter 516 out, even though I'm quite fond of it. That's because so many people have already mentioned it that I felt that we needed some variety. And because a large part of why that color spread was great was because of the point in the story in which it came. During the Straw Hat separation, we had a montage flash-backing to how each of them was introduced for the first time. It was a wonderful retrospective, but from a general aesthetic perspective, I tend to prefer Oda's more fantastic spreads, where he seems to let his imagination run wild. So most of my choices were of that type of color spread.

My three favourites are 175, 464 and 516..
I like the look of Nami and Luffy on 175, the stlye off everyone (except Sanji and Franky) on 464 and that atmosphere that 516 has.

Besides, did you guys notice that Nami and Luffy the ones most shown? Never really realised it until now.
I also noticed that there are quite a few showing only Nami, Luffy and Zoro.

I was leaning towards 516 as my favourite, but i'd have to agree with Imitorar's comments about it :

so going with which one i've had as my wallpaper the longest i'd say 483. 532 was speciall too because it was the first ime we saw the Shichibukai together, and there's many more but 464 is up there cos they have that "usual suspects" lookto them...

I actually didn't think it was an Oda spread, correct me if I'm wrong. The style is different, Luffy doesn't even look like Luffy and Drake's chin has....evolved...

I also believe it's not from Oda. Luffy's teeth looks weird and also there is no straw-hat in the picture. Neither on Luffy nor on the OP logo. Still even if it's not from Oda, I think it's the best colour spread I've seen of OP and it has nothing to do, that it is new.

Chapter 2 – Classic imo, love the layout too. Future PK, Strongest/greatest swordsmen in the world and the world’s greatest navigator (+ sexy too) to have ever lived lol.

Chapter 186 – Epic stance/posture from Zoro imo. Love the hippo as well (I want to look cool like that too! I’m talking about the cap his wearing lol).

Chapter 310 – Simply beautiful. Love the fact that it’s so detailed compared to the other cover spreads, l also love the clothing design (Samurai themed) and the colours used all compliment the characters on the cover. Robin :3

Chapter 352 – This is complete win for me. Zoro & the chick! :XD

Chapter 449 – :hearts Nami-swaan :hearts One of my favs. Luffy’s always so care-free like lol.

Chaper 532 – Another classic imo (minus Moria :P). Jinbei looks mean. :cool: Love the doppelman shadow which nicely compliments BB’s DF. Boa looks hot as ever.

Aside from this, Luffy's character is really well done just idly sitting in the back of the crew looking ahead, with his weapon on his side!

The background is amazing, with the vivid scenery and detail included; things like the hoof marks the cattle makes, the detail applied to the grass, and the wayward village on the far side!! Personally, this is an incredible image that captures the qualities of each character perfectly!
