And if someone says "I know this Asian girl", it confuses me, I don't know if it is Oriental or South East Asian. But I would have to guess depending on where the speaking is speaking from or residing in, if it was in London, I would guess South East Asian. People here usually say Chinese/Japanese instead of "Asian" don't they?
I have a bad habit of using asian for chinese. But that's mostly due to where I grew up because the only asians around are chinese. I specify otherwise if I'm referring to a japanese or a korean...or any other asian for that matter.

Who has been keeping up with the Swine Flu. Yesterday the first death occured happened in the UK due to the virus. Is anyone scared, the figures are constantly rising.

I was at a Japanese culture festival (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Day_in_D%C3%BCsseldorf) on Saturday in one of my neighbour towns and it just happens that the Japanese International school there was closed last week due to swine flu. Over 40 kids were confirmed victims and put under quarantine.

My granny called me on Friday in total panic to make me understand that I was running into my certain death there. Went nonetheless as well as around 850.000 other festival visitors. So if it's spreading now in Germany, you know now where it comes from <.<

We've had some school-aged kids in this city put under quarantine too. I don't know anyone who actually has it, but there's a number of people who do, apparently. it's such a subjective thing that really the only people who can say whether it's right or wrong are the women having one. Personally, it doesn't matter to me for various reasons, but if you ask me, a woman getting an abortion because she doesn't feel capable of supporting a child in her current stage of life is as valid as a woman aborting a child because it was created from a raping. I'm not saying it in a cruel way, but logically speaking, in most cases would you want a woman who considered aborting the child actually raising it? And yeah, I know, there's adoption as a choice as well, but I can't say much about that since I know nothing of it...I would just hope that if a child is born and put up for adoption that it doesn't have a hard life because of that. Ultimately though, abortion shouldn't be a question of whether it's right or wrong, but like Obama recently said at my alma mater, it should be question about what can be done so people don't have to resort to it. Please excuse my offenses...I haven't slept in a long while.

I personally don't think it's wrong, if the woman is considering an abortion it's probably best that she doesn't go through with the birth, since she's most probably grow to resent the child, the man involved (only if the conception was consentual ofcourse) should also have a say and his feelings should be carefully considered though, if the woman decided to go through with the abortion without considering the man's feelings then there should be some sort of compensation.

Prion diseases are typically caught through eating nervous system tissues: i.e. the brain, spinal cord, etc. Prions are malformed infectious proteins that affect your body and are essentially incurable once contracted. Mad Cow is a prion disease if I'm not mistaken. They're also responsible for Chronic Wasting Disease in certain animal populations and Creutzfeld-Jakob (sp?) disease in humans.

Wicked! I'm going to study there 2011 and my sister is already studying to become a Doctor there! It's well... let's say it's cold during autumn/winter/spring but not hot on summers. It's always perfect, like a lot of snow during winters and very beautiful with the leaves during spring, very colourful during autumns and on summers it's not hot but a rather comfortable heat.

Twitter is fun if you follow the right people...I love it! :3 And comparing it to myspace or facebook doesn't do it justice, it's a different thing (although facebook cloned twitter on their last facelift).

Basically, it's a microblog where you write a short message with what's in your mind in the moment. Then, you "follow" other people to receive their updates.

Some people update it at every 5 minutes saying..."good morning, just woke up", "now having breakfast", "going to shower"....those are the annoying people you must not follow. >.>

Buuut there are people that post only really nice links, pics, videos, or funny comments. And of couse, a slice of life here and there is also fun :3

And yeah, lots of celebs on it, for those who like it. I follow some guys from the game industry, they're always funny. xD

Some sites use it as a small version of their RSS feeds, so if you want to receive their latest updates, that's also an option.

And if you use firefox, you don't have to keep on checking the page to read all,there's an awesome ff plugin that keeps the updates at the corner of your page, so you can read whenever you feel like it =]

Eh...I think N.Korea is trying to gain some recognition and maybe some time before it gets bashed and beaten by US or China; Iran is experiencing some changes/ some civil revolt with it recent elections and conflict may be avoided in that region, and that would leave one less country to side or support N.Korea if something happens.

Do you have an internet provider already? My father paid Geek Squad to have his set up years ago, and I set up the new router we got a few months ago. Honestly, I find it to be a pain in the ass to do, so if you can get GS to set it up or have a friend do it, go that route. Saves you the time and frustration of doing it =P especially since you'll probably want to encrypt it. It's not necessarily hard if the setup wizard works, but in my case it didn't so I had to manually do everything and had no idea when it came to port numbers or which kind of encryption I needed to use (AES, TKIP, etc).

My favorite were both California and Philadelphia sushi(dunno why they are named like that, but they taste sweet:D).....Temaki is awesome too...although I am not a big fan of Salmon Gunkan Makis.

That's not true. People will repeat anything if they believe in it, regardless of facts or truth. People believe that MJ molested children, but only a couple of people were actually there and no one can prove it. "Guilty until proven innocent" is the main principle in the court of public opinion.

This came off as a defense of MJ - I'm ambivalent towards his charges. I just don't like the thinking of 'if people repeat and believe something for a long time, then it must be true.' If that were the case, all urban legends would be true.

Heh. Well, Americans prefer Football (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_football) and Baseball over Soccer. Football is my favorite sport!

The USA won't be a major force in Soccer until Soccer gets some semblance of popularity here in the States, and since Beckham coming to play in the US only inspired a national yawn at best, that won't be happening any time soon. That's just the way it goes.

Personally, I find Soccer, like many sports, boring to watch and more fun to play in video games.
