Not interested in shipping?

I'm curious, because I'm not always sure what to consider 'normal'...

I'm genuinely interested in Negima because of the magic use and things like that. I liked all the interpersonal relationships and stuff from Love Hina, but that's not what I'm looking for here... What do most people look for in this story?

Well, there's not really much to look at with regards to the shipping. Nodoka's pretty much the only one Negi's acknowledged the feelings of, and while Asuna and him have frequent awkward moments, that's become more brother sister like at this point (especially with the revelation oh her being his 20-something year old aunt). Ako might have gotten something going, but she's pretty much gotten a satisfying conclusion to that little side story.

I'm into it because somehow there are both large amounts of text and ridiculous amounts of action crammed into each chapter. And if you compare the quality of the fight scenes and plans to those of other more mainstream manga, such as Bleach, Naruto, and Keikashi, there really is a quality gap. The blatant fan service is just a benefit on the side.

I really took a liking to Negima for all the various reasons. romantic comedy, shonen, magic, fanservice. Ken weaves a good tale in my opinion. Have never read Love Hina yet, so I cannot compare.

The greatest single moment for me in MSN has to be the first time Fate incanted a spell in ancient greek back in Vol 6.

It's like Love Hina's final saga of Todai Kingdom... it has love-dovey and also fight scenes... :D

Akamatsu-sensei! I mean his style, both the story and art. :)

About shipping, I like that Negi is only 10 years old, and he is too young for these. Its make sense the Harem things.
But if I thinking Reverse Hikaru Genji Procect, I don't know :p

Well, Akamatsu said he made Negi 10 yeards for two reasons, first to get him pactios with several (quite young) girls without troubles (the "he's just a kid" excuse works perfectly), and also because he wanted to make an action manga, and a 10 years old boy, no matter how mature he is, just can't be interested in romance yet. That's why I'm not expecting anything from Negi ever in this manga. He's only 10, give him a break -_-;

That doesn't mean I'm not shipping anything (Kono/Setsu is one of the easiest yuri couple to ship ever, and as a yuri fan, I can't let that go), but what drew me to Negima is mostly the humor, the great characters and absolutely awesome story (I honestly didn't expect that one from Akamatsu). The pretty art and fan service sure help too. But yeah, besides Kono/Setsu, I don't expect (nor want) any romance in Negima >.>

Akamatsu is awesome! The "harem" type of scenes is just awesome since he is ten which gives just makes it both hilarious and wrong.
The fighting scenes are also very good written and the story makes sence...

Oh and rakan is the same type of sensei as Seta-san was... Not that the both of them are pervy - but that both of them are like best, but they have a weakness... Rakan is his pervyness (is that a word!?) and Seta was his... lack of driving-skills

I was in this because the anime left me empty inside and I had to know what happened with my dear Nodoka. But I'm for both the romance and the exagerated action which I love. NodoNegi (or YueNegi, since it seems that if you win one you get the other. 2 for 1 deal sounds awsome to me!!) FTW!!!!!

There's nothing confirmed about Asuna and Negi. We can only wait.
I'm a supporter of Negi and Nodoka too, but, in the end, I'll accept anyone he (Akamatsu) chooses.

I didn't even watch the Anime.. saw 1 ep and then I didn't wanna see more, it sucked :S
