I don't know where the animators want to go to
maybe ending the 52 episodes with the suman arc and allen losing his arm?

-sigh- I've kinda given up on the D.Grayman anime. If it's only 52 eps, then there's no chance of it sucessfully going back to the manga plot.

There's not enough space to make up a bs "Allen beats the earl" ending either, which means they're going to cut off and leave it open for more later on.

Well, that's not too bad. It'd be depressing if they did change the ending entirely, but having a cut-off ending at least will inspire some people to read the manga... and others to complain about what a crappy ending that was.

That's true. 11 more episodes left and they still have to find Cross and beat the Earl. Not to mention this filler crap they have going on right now.
See, what I'm hoping for is another season or something, one that will be able to take over the manga plot again. Maybe the last 11 episodes will lead up to the beginning or end of the Suman arc somehow and another season or something of D.Grayman will start, sorta like Naruto Shippuden. Unlikely, but that's what I hope for.. I really want to see the Suman and Edo arcs animated. ;___;

Okay another fillerish episode. Imo this is only a setting to the suman dark arc. There must be a reason to introduce that character and his dissapearance. So the suman arc prolly woul be the end of a 1st, 2nd season (how you call it, like the krory events could have end the 1st season maybe?)
But as I never believed, and never will and as many are starting to doubt -> d.gray-man certainly will be more then 52 episodes long

I don't know
somehow I like this filler arc or at least how it begins
Lulubelle is a very interesting character imho and she is a Noah so it there might be a few good fight scenes
so I'm going to give the next episodes a chance it might be better than the last 10

9 eps left and still this filler stuff. It'll probably drag out for 2 or 3 more eps and then... who knows. Hopefully 52 will be the "end" of some season and the studio takes a break to catch up with the manga? Maybe re-intro the series with the Suman Dark stuff? At least, that's why I hope will happen...
BTW... Yoruichi!? Oh wait, wrong series.

I hope they do the Suman stuff. It was probably my favorite part of the arc. D:

I started crying when I was looking at the seiyuu info on ANN and realized there was a Noah called "Lulubell". Now that they've kind of screwed up Boric (having two Noah from the southern US, otherwise?), is there ANY hope left.
And WHAT is that awful little thing that looks like a demented Allen/Lenalee lovechild?
RainyFrog
August 02, 2007, 09:19 PM
Noooooo. Seriously, enough with this made-up Noah and the stereotypical girl sidekick. I'm kind of wishing Hoshino-sensei had never drawn her (even as tiny and unimportant as she was in the picture), because then maybe all these episodes would be very different. IE, good. :/
I would like to see them get the exorcist group back together and do the Suman thing, but it's not looking likely.

I'm wondering, what's the deal with the anime? Is it really just 52 eps, the end? Is there any talk among anyone whose talk matters that the D.gray-Man anime won't be completely over at 52?
I'm starting to fear that this will be like Kenshin; great manga adaption, then veering way off track to end series on a terrible note.
I really hope 52 eps isn't the absolute end of the anime. There's so much good stuff starting with Suman Dark.
Digital_Eon
August 02, 2007, 10:20 PM
I wouldn't care if it was the end of the anime. The GOOD thing about ending it at 52 episodes is that they'll probably end it with Allen getting killed by Tiki, which means that it ends up following the manga storyline, and will inspire people to read the manga. It doesn't look like they'll have the time or desire to change the ending at this point... but if they do...

Good lord. I just wanted to Crown Clown animated. Was that too much to ask?! Apparently! (Plus we're probably never see Anita or the people at the Asia Branch...)
I would be mildly appeased if it ended with Tyki killing Allen... But the "anime-only" watchers (if there even are any for this show) will be like, "WTF? The main character died."
SPOILERS FOR DEATH NOTE: (Like when I was reading the manga and L died, I was all "Why are there more chapters?!", but it just turns out he got replaced by far-less-cool Near.)

Focus on the akuma girl (the maiden). It's another none original manga filler episode. How? Why? If d.gray-man is supposed to count 52 episodes (though I believe this is a season ending)

Well they are going to the east to search for cross (the direction timcanpy is going). They are in eastren europe and a noah (with a maiden akuma) are teasing/attacking/trying to split up the group (allen/lavi/lenalee/krory). No original manga action filler episode with a noah that was only seen in the background

I actually found impressive the design for those lv.2 Akuma The gist about the episode is that the Theodore group arrives to a presumedly haunted mansion. The appearance of Skin Boric toward the end of the episode gives me hope that the staff had not completely abandoned the manga. Skin looks like he's stalking after Theodore's group.

... Somehow, it's just a little sad that no one has commented. But then, this anime has been horrible, so I can understand.
Seven episodes left and it appears we're just getting to the part where Skin stalks Theodore and company. -___-

Yea. I initially didn't bother commenting because I'd just say the same things as I have before and complain about the anime not moving in the manga's direction. I'm not even bothering watching the filler because I'm tired of watching the Exorcists running around killing akuma or whatever. I want to see the story progress from the Suman Dark arc. :[

Episode 46 returns to the Cross team. This time Allen and Krory have arrived to the Hindu-Nepalese-Chinese frontier and in order to cross to get to their next destination they must go through Mt. Everest.
The more they are nearing to Cross the more the episodes themselves are signaling that the fillers are about to end, so it is possible that next week or the following one would be back to the manga.
As they climbed their way up Lulubell and Mimi play some illusion games taking advantage of the ravenous blizzard. Krory and Allen while braving the snowstorm are confronted by various faces from their past, but seems likely it is another of Lulubel illusion tactics in a last dire attempt to wipe out the two exorcists.
Meanwhile Lavi, Lenali, and Bookman have already crossed to the other side of the mountain.

Let's hope next season features more canon in it.
Anyway, in my opinion there are two kinds of filler in this season, fillers that add more to the plot and stretch it (Yeegar's, Daisya's, Krory's and Miranda's fillers, etc...), and normal fillers (Leaf of Revival, Victorio filler, etc..). Lulubell's filler would belong to both of these since it expands more on a character that only appeared briefly in the manga, but goes on and on for such a long time...
By the way, I hope the next opening's more gothic.

WOW!! I really never thought it would happen. You know, I'm almost certain there will be very little, if any, filler in the next season. There's just so much manga to work with now. (Or maybe I'm too optimistic. >_>) I'm really looking forward to it! I can't believe it's as soon as December, too.

The raw (http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=526264#post526264) is out!
Summary according to Guido from animesuki forums:
Lulubell reported to the Earl about the disturbance caused by Mei-Ling's Innocence. Obvious, that the Earl orders Lulubell to neutralize the newly-borned menace to his plans.
Lulubell sends Mimi to approach Mei-Ling. Not very sure but getting in touched with Mei-Ling made Mimi to recall back the memories of her human life.
Cut straight into the battle. Mimi changes to her Lv.2 Akuma form but with effort is subdued by both Lenali and Allen.
Lulubell retrieves Mimi before she gets destroyed and reports back to the pressence of the Earl who gets himself in company of several hordes of Lv.2
Looks like Mimi finally was thrown away for being a failed and defective weapon.
I'm not very sure whether or not Mei-Ling chose to remain at her village or join the fab four. It looks like the former, because she's too young to become an official Exorcist and having recovered her confidence with the crystal ball she'll be helping her village with her fortune telling.
On another note, three more episodes until the new ending & opening (http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=522931#post522931) premieres.

The RAW (http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=535789&postcount=32) is out!
This is the last of the fillers; next week, they are going back to the manga arc. :)
This episode has just ruled out the possibility of meilin playing any part in future episodes...why? lets just say that without a crystalball she wont be able to tell anymore fortunes >.>
lulubell attacks allen and Co en masse which totally destroys them, allen lenali and meilin got split up from the group while the rest was stalled behind by some fricking annoying akumas. And while it seems that everything would turn out for the better, in comes an enraged mimi to cause trouble.
she manages to make meilin drop her crystalball which lulubell picks up. Allen tries frantically to get it back but is intercepted by mimi (who at this time has gotten berserk...). but...an attack from allen sends out akuma friend to the graveyard...while lulubell crushes the innocence ~ a loss from both sides
but not all hope is lost...as it seems like even lulubell is touched (and she might even betray the earl )
Go here (http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=533630#post533630) if you want to get info for next week (spoilers for those who don't read the manga).

the calm before the storm ep. And looking at the preview ZOMG WE HAVE AN EPIX BATTLE AHEAD!
back onto this ep the gang follows tim into a city where the soon meet this princess who was an acquaintance of cross and also a backer for the black order. She unfortunatly fears that the worse has happen to cross which sets everyone aback but for allen he knows his master all too well and refuses to believe that he might have died. with that in mind they continue to move onto the next location which was revealed to be Japan. Anita organised some "friendly" pirates who are willing to give allen and Co a ride but he needed to prove himself.
an akuma attacks bla bla and they got to show off their skills gaining the trust of the pirates and off they sail. anita also tags along with her beefed up body guard
moving onto another scene we see the earl sending a whole army of lvl 2 akumas to intercept allen...this is where the epix battle take place from the preview
