Hi, I need help for a line on page 126.
I'm not sure if I understood 「泥みたいな―」 correctly.
The furigana says どろ for 泥, but I can't make sense of it.
I also researched for 「なずみたい」 which is also written as 泥みたい。 And this confused me even more.
So I don't know what it actually means:
1. using どろ > the main char thinks that, what the soldiers were doing was foul play
2. using なずむ > the main char has this lingering feeling of wanting to stop what the soldiers were doing to the old man.

It's the first time I've encountered this expression in this context so I have no idea...

hmmm it didnt make any sense to me either...
even though im a pure Japanese T_T
however, my guess is that the author chose to use "泥みたいな―" to express the feeling of being stuck in mud, such as dirty, struggle, uncomfortable, flounder and etc...
the author could use some other straightforward phrase like "泥にはまったみたいなー"　or "泥の中にいるみたいなー" but many josei manga author like to use those roundabout phrase to make their manga more womanlike.
