Hey guys, I need at least the name of 5 legendary mangakas for a project.

And not mangakas that are currently popular, but those who have made history and shall never be forgotten.

Thanks~

Hmm, Osamu Tezuka, Keiji Nakazawa, Ikki Kajiwara (and Tetsuya Chiba), Shotaro Ishinomori, Fujiko Fujio (consisted of Hirshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko), Katsuhiro Otomo, Hayao Miyazaki (started as mangaka). To name a few, though I'm quite sure you would have found those names with much trouble googleing yourself, or opening any avable "history of manga" book.

Thanks :) I googled and found a few but I wasn't 100% sure which ones I was going to pick, was hoping more answers that way I'd have chosen the ones that repeated the most.

i hope you picked Keiji Nakazawa. his manga is probably the most prized in the world. he won many literaly prizes world wide. the most astonishing fact is, that the manga was autobiographic on many parts.

Yeah, Nakazawa is a must pick, Barefoot Gen is totally in my TOP 3 best mangas ever. And I've only read the 2 first volumes, sionce they are the only one that have been published in finnish. Stunning, shocking, touching, and explores so many aspects of old Japan, WWII and (obviously) Hiroshima atom bomb. I could praise it for days, but I think I'll stop now.
