I honestly believe that Cross is ahead of Jio in almost every way except physical strength.

As purely OPT's, Cross has the slight edge in versatility and variety in attacks, although Jio's adaptability lowers that margin slightly. Also, as it's been mentioned before, Jio's new incarnation of Zero is basically useless against him.

As recipes, Cross has already proven that he's leagues ahead of Jio during the Roc Bird arc, where Cross' partial release of Metatron thoroughly owned Jio's full Satan release.

Jio and Cross were fighting pretty evenly pre time skip, I'd probably give that battle to Jio.That was only a brief skirmish that was interrupted by Ruby.

Then, towards the conclusion of the Roc Bird arc, Cross owned Jio badly with only some of his angel powers against a fully released Satan. Although, it's unclear how Jio's inner struggle at the time could have affected his performance, I still doubt it would have had much of an impact on the outcome, since he didn't get introspective until after Cross cut him in half.

In fact, Cross was even doing quite well against Satan Jio before he even started to release Metatron's power.

Also, the Angel light given off by Cross prevents Jio's Satan from regenerating, which certainly wouldn't help Satan pull through.

Cross no doubt right now, I personally find that Seishi overpowered Corss bigtime post-time skip considering what we saw him do in chapter 54(above pic) with just his O-Parts and as of current we have not really seen him go all out in a fight most likely due to Seishi knowing he made cross overpowered. To date we have not seen Jio pull off anything like that now O-Parts/powers aside physically I would say they are fairly even in speed and strength.

Spika's still around and about, although she hardly seems like a threat at the moment, and more looks to be pure comedy relief.

And even though Miko/Shin is now easily the most powerful character in the series, she doesn't have the "villain's aura" about her. Hopefully she'll have some humanoid form being stored in her current Shin "body".

But, Race is faster than the eye can track, can change directions in mid air, and doesn't need to actually hit it's target to freeze it. Also, Shuri could defend himself from G-Shock and other attacks by covering himself in ice.

This could easily go either way.

Wow, nice chapter. I like how it was revealed that Jio's new o-part had more than one ability, and it was to harness the power of Satan. Plus, Jio said that he is able to prevent Satan from taking over simply because he matured soul wise.

I personally can't wait to see Jio's showdown with Icarus and eventual beatdown at the hands of Cross. That former was one of the most epic moments in shounen manga, IMO, and the latter only adds on to it.

As he said "I didnt "pick up" the nucleus, i beat the hell out of it and took it." Most likely (not saying he wont) Jio will not release "Satan" but rather almost lose the fight and Jin will come in to save the day by releasing his "recipe." Keep in mind the others are in different locations, there is no way theyre going to backtrack, find the location of Jin and Jio jump in to save the day. Lets save that for when they get into the HQ xD the others DID fight their own enemies, lets let Jin and Jio have the victory :D

Those might just turn out to be "sacrifical lives" though, since Zero has been spamming that Zadkiel ability quite a bit in the last chapter....and by the looks of that first page, Jin's recipe is bound to be a demon. Also you forget one more aspect to the Jio/rock fight. What about Zero himself? He was revealed as a recipe aswell through the legacy of his father so its not unthinkable that Zero has some aces left on his hand to help Jio out.

In general i think we are all interested in the oparts used in the series, while we know their effects i think some of us are also interested in how they can remake them like what Kirin did with Zero and even more so how Zero R came to be as it is since its effect was purely physical before and now is affected by the soul and all.

I agree with you there. He may not have the recipe in his body anymore, but i think that hes still alive, that hes just reflecting on things that he has done in his past and what just happened between him and his brother.

As for the sword falling down like it did i don't think it was just accident. Kirin isn't the type who'd set down a sword in a manner where it would fall down like that. I think its a representation for Kujakus final thoughts. Hes thinking more of how wrong his actions where in the past and the time he has been living which was a lie now falls down on him and he finally sees the truth or something.

Jin has 1 recipe... There are 2 demons unknown, and all angels known (granted, I don't remember seeing 3 of those angels, but if they are on the pic, they must be known).

Given the description we know of demon 5i, (burn all down, hate humanity, foresee future), we can guess that Jin either has this recipe, or will fight it. After all, it seems to represent his "weak heart" stage of life. It could be possible that he has the 5i recipe inside of him (hence why Satan tried to give him hate), which is why the 4i recipe didn't infect him.

Now, based off of this, it seems that every recipe is, at the moment, either located in 1 of the 2 kabbalahs, or is in the same room as Zekuto Crescent, except the whale.

The whale will likely end up attacking Shin. Which means, that the 2 legendary O-Parts will get together. Team "good guys" will get completely owned, and we can expect a few casualties. Jio and Cross (or Ruby) will end up escaping from the powers of the legendary O-Parts, and than will set out to use Satan's data absorption to take control of 1 of the Kaballah, to beat up the legendary O-Parts.

All right, I recently read this whole series, and among other questions, one main one has been sticking in my mind: can both angels and demons be seperated from their "hosts"? Based on what I read on wikipedia (a moderately reliable source, but still relevant, I suppose), all angels and demons are nuclei. (Satan seems a bit different, however)

The reason I ask is due to conflicting terms - while all the sephiroths that we've seen removed have been induced into the host's body during their life, it is belived that they all follow the nucleus pattern. So, getting at my questions:

Were characters such as Ruby and Cross born as angels, or was the nuclei induced into them at some point before they were found by Stea? Are they unique, different individuals from their angel nuclei? Are they capable of being seperated from it?

The only text I can recall about Ruby and Cross is from Stea itself, and therefore, they wouldn't know if it had been induced into them as small children before they were found. Ultimately, do you believe that any of the 20 sephiroths can be seperated from their hosts, and allow the host to live a normal, completely seperate life?

I don't think we have ever seen an angel nucleus separate from its host other than Rock, and he is queer...

Anyways, to answer how the things work...


So my guess is that, in the case of angels, the nuclei like to take the form of humans for some reason (or wolves), after which they can evolve into their full form. As in, Zero, Ruby, Cross, Michael, etc, are all nuclei, instead of possessing nuclei.

As for demons, it seems that the nuclei originally possesses enough power to create a body (ex: 7i demon, 4i demon, 10i demon). After they are defeated, or the nuclei is removed, they are round ball shapes (ex: Jin's demon, 4i demon, 7i demon, lucifuge, 8i demon) that can be absorbed into people (ex: lucifuge, 8i demon, 9i demon) upon contact. These than go under the control of the host's spirit and the demon's powers. Once these people are owned, the nucleus once again is removed and goes ball state.

Now, obviously satan seems to be the exception to this. As for this, in ch. 2 (or so), Sabaki mentions selling an egg sized, A-rank O-Part to some mayor, that resulted in the town being wiped out. The picture shown is very similar to Dragon's eye (granted, Dragon's eye is about the size of a county, instead of a town)... So, probably Jio somehow got to touch that egg sized O-Part, and got over taken by Satan. Jio's parents may have bought the O-Part, or it could have been someone else trying to take advantage of the guy's godly spirit power. Or, the spirit power could have come from Satan. Anyways, aside from there being only 2~3 months for Jio to get hated, kill Jin's parents, than create Dragon's Eye because he got a bit of a testosterone build up after seeing Cross, it would allow the theory to work for Satan as well.

Now, there is 1 last pointer about demons. As observed from Satan trying to take over Jio's soul, while Lucifuge only taken over its container's spirit, there are different levels of control. It seems that demons are able to come to a total domination of a body, to a point that it is eventually the demon itself, and not human (ex: Ikaros, Satan). As human bodies contain a source of spirit, this would explain why a ball sized O-Part could create a gigantic body. At this point, it is possible that the distinction between container and nucleus is near non-existent, so that the nucleus changes shape to stay in the container, and won't reform until the area they infected in completely wiped out (note Ikaro)

Now, as for evolution of powers. Currently, there are 3 situations. Angel (container = nucleus), demon (container control nucler), and demon (nucleus control container). In all of the cases, initially there is no control over the powers until you recognize what you are. Even than, in the case of angels, you have to train your powers in order to be able to draw them out, first needing to recognize that you have them. In the case of demons containers, as you are constantly combating the power, you know it is there. Once you have it under control, you need to start gaining it to maximize use. As for nucleus demons, they probably have to train the body of their container (that they control) to be able to handle the constant drain that they require, again, needing to train the power. So in all cases, you evolve as you gain control over the power, and strengthen your body to work in harmony.

Final point on angels: Given that they are still O-Parts of a nucleus, it is likely that they still have to infect something. Since they seem to be born with it, my guess is angel nuclei have a fetish for infecting new borns, hence why people sometimes don't recognize their powers for a while. That may be a valid point - perhaps the angels are attracted to beings with little to no hatred, and as such, newborns/young children.

I loved the fact that it is called (well atleast on the scanlations i read) 666 satan. It may sound creepy to some and it would have done the same for me to had i been 10-15 years younger than i am.
At the moment im more fascinated by the series name and content than creeped out. Satan fascinates me alot (and for reference no im not a satanist, im a very liberal christian with a deep belief in both christianity and science as a whole)

From what i have seen it seems that the recipes can exist on their own at some stages (seems that way on some of the angel recipes) but for the most part on both sides they exist as an extension of someone so they can be separated at a later time. The only 2 i believe this to be different with is Jio and Cross.
Cross was said to be born into a a human form when he was found while his sister (Ruby that is) was made at a later time (thats how i understood it anyway)
Jio's past is still shrouded in mystery but he is seemingly the same as cross (guessing here though) being a born human shape so its integrated into him aswell.

I honestly cannot believe their isn't really any fan fiction for this series. It has awesome pairings. Jio and Ruby are the best. Ball and Mei are cute too. The Kaito/Yuria relationship is awesome. It's a relief to see some clear pairings in a manga, even though they aren't hot and heavy or anything. Oh yeah! And there's Ponzo's (was that her name?) infatuation with Cross. I never expected that to happen! Even though she liked to be naked around him...

As far as Kirin goes...hmmm...I don't think he'll end up with anyone. He's like a mentor type character sort of like Amidaba...I just don't see them hooking up with anyone...unless it's each other...in which case, that would be sorta gross.

Gangan has announced on their site that the final chapters are here... ついに最終決戦──そしてフィナーレへ…… as translated by Sai the Shaman to be "Finally, the final battle, and then the finale." Chapter 76 is the one that will be the final battle since the announcement is on the what's coming in issue 1 of 2008 page. So we think probably 2 (Chapter 77) more chapters after this at this point. Unless they want to make the finale fill an entire volume of manga. T______T

Well the destruction could lead to the recipes being shattered all over the world again (including satan) and Jio being the only one known to contain satan will have to set out to get it back either to take it on himself again or to simply stop someone else to get it :)

I think Ball is the more likely champion here aswell. It seems that his o-parts real magnetic effect is still missing to be fully used in a simulated combat such as this. The magnetic effect of his balls (boy does that sound just wrong :p ) makes everything it touches magnetic and that said means that any ice shuri makes will end up under balls control until there is no more water vapor left in the air.
Also remember that race is 1 o-part that is bound by its shape. It can't split and from what we last saw can break easily (post timeskip we don't know how this affects it all we know is that the shape of the o-part has changed)

Trickys are from what we assume no different than ball's pre-timeskip o-part other than actual size. The hardness of the balls should still be the same and where hard enough to break other o-parts rather easy without damaging itself in the process.
Now being 3 of them and 1 race it will be harder for shuri to withstand an attack that can come from anywhere and that can use the very ice he makes to add additional attacks to that again essentially exponentially increasing his attacks to amount of ice shards and whatever is usable in the immediate area.
Freezing one tricky ball will only halt him since another ball can just smash the ice to free it. And also take in mind that the smaller the projectile the greater impact force meaning that ice will easily be broken (pretty much like knife through butter) and this won't have much effect.

Shuris only way of attack would be to use Races super speed to attack ball directly but there is no mention of how fast those balls are. From what we see i would assume fairly equal speed.

Well, not that I could decipher much more than names from reading the raw, but it's looking like next chapter will be the final showdown with Satan, perhaps extended into the final chapter, which will probably be a future/aftermath story. Perhaps if some of our protagonists survive it will be similar to the final chapter of Death Note. All I can say is, if Ruby and Jio don't share at least one REALLY good tender moment before the end, I'm going to be puh-issed!! No two characters need to hook up (even if briefly) more than they do.

I have just finished my exams and I decided to give myself a break. I decided to read a new manga and it is 666satan since I am a huge fan of Naruto. And 666satan proved itself an awesome manga. It started off a little bit lame with countless things similar to naruto but then it became its own after a crappy beginning.

I finished 74 chapters in 3 days. I started to love this manga too much and it is coming to an end. It is like I am reading the beginning and the end of the story.

Meh, would be the most disappointing ending i can think of (i think) Besides, it would go against Satan's character to share the world or to even leave something alive on the planet. Thats why satan was associated with evil.
Jio would‘t allow satan to rule the world with him either though. He wants the world for himself (he just wants his friends to live in it ;) )

as for what i think will happen, i would have to say that i think Jio up till this point has just shown parts of his strength. I mean we know he uses his powers to control satan and although satan may have fooled him into thinking he could do so, it is really Jio who fooled satan into thinking that he could control Jio. The friendships Jio made and the parent figures that died protecting him (forgot their names now, but Kujaku killed em) formed such strong bonds and he realized that no evil could stop him from protecting them.

(but like the chicks ont he forum i do hope for a tender moment between Jio and ruby. that HAS to happen!!!)

I didn't really think it was much like Naruto at all, except for the obvious character resemblances, but that can be said of almost any manga. I agree completely. I really enjoy the fact that Kishi took a formula which was pretty overdone (small boy rejected by many hides demon inside) and turned it into something very, very unique and amazing. I was kinda turned off by what I felt like was a time-skip too soon, but post-time skip really won me over.

All in all, I'll be sad to see it go, but I'm also excited to see if Kishi's gonna put something out bigger and badder than 666.

I do have to admit, after the time-skip, the manga did go at quite a fast pace, no filler chapters, just all action and plot-advancement chapters. If the ending turns out to be a good one, then I'll probably say it would be one of the best mangas I've ever read (Even though I've only read 20-30). Let's just hope Kishi doesn't totally rush the whole last couple of chapters and ruin the manga.

Chapter 76 is the last chapter of volume 19. A volume always has four chapters (http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7921). So either it get's finished in one blow next chapter (but even considering Kishis storytelling speed, this would be a little to speedy, imho) or the final battle will go over four more chapters and finish the manga with 20 volumes and 80 chapters - two nice numbers and plenty of time for a great battle and some final romance, that sounds actually good to me. So I would go with option no. 2 :amuse
