You should post your work at narutofan as well. I think it will be a lot more appreciated than it is here. I personally like your crisp style :nod.

still nothing original? looks like you took even more tips from amaretti's version, even the small light spots are in the exact same places.
look, if you want to be recognized as an artist, you have to come up with stuff yourself. you cant expect people's recognition if you keep relying on other people's work to take you through your coloring.
sorry, but that's the harsh reality.

I would be amazed if amaretti came in here himself and said good work. And shut some of you up who constantly say that. Obviously his style is similar to amaretti's. Just from now on when he post, don't comment.

Well put Lee. The very reason, I just stop coming here sometimes. Using references as a start is great, but try to work to more original paintings. If all you do is copy someone else's picture, you're not really learning anything from it. Its just duplication. BE CREATIVE. Try some different light sources. As artists, we need to find our own style, our own way of doing things. Otherwise you'll be known and recognized as a copy artist, which in fact shows a lack of talent/creative ability. We don't want that now, do we....?

You're finding you're own style by using someone eles's work? Not to mention using the same colors just a different palette. Just fanart.

well said HB- THE FUNNIEST THING IS THAT I DIDN'T EVEN USE amaretti's WORK AS REFERENCEThat's really funny because it looks from 99% the same, just a bit worse shading.

E-manel using Amaretti's pallete doe not bug me, it's the light source. I just like to see variations. I loved the ones you did that I haven't seen Amaretti do.
Amaretti did base hers off the cover, right? Maybe that's why we're seeing the similarities.
You are gaining some skill and experience, so that's a good thing. And you are cranking these out at a quick pace compared to the others here. Anyways, I like how you don't let this talk bother you too much.
Any chance that you'll post more colorings that are more blended? Keep up the good work. I wasn't trying to be mean in the threads you've posted, just trying to be helpful. Keep up with the colorings.

you may have painted it, but you used the same angle of the shadow of amaretti used the and same colors. Try to innovate now.
Not only that, but his other paintings are like that.

I have had problems like yours, always wanted to be like Amaretti-san, but unfortunately it is impossible.
If you saw my version on this case, must have realized that my shadows are not so different, I really am not very proud of it, but at least I made my own way.
Try crir style guy, copying you will not get to anywhere.
