Hello there everyone. It seems that Mr. GK is quite occupied with life, he decides to drop the commentary for One Piece and Bleach. Looks like DJudge has taken that liberty revive the commentary by starting his own. Check it out right here:

"D's Ten Comments - Bleach c249" (http://mangahelpers.com/forum/index.php?topic=10358.0)

[font=verdana]Seems like Garaku is commenting on One Piece as well. Check out his comments right here:

Chopper's 10 Comments~One Piece 431 (http://mangahelpers.com/forum/index.php?topic=10499.0;topicseen)

As for me, I've decided to take on the "One Piece section" *prays*. :sweat Hope you guys can bear on me with this! :sweat. As you may find out, I'll be doing a sort of "modification" on this commentary. This isn't a "Top-Ten Comments" for starters, since it's most likely I'll do more or less than that (though I'll try to keep it at a minimum of 8 or 10 at least). And secondly I'll be introducing the "Rainbow" system here. As I do the commentary, I'll try to keep it in General view as possible. The "Rainbow" system will act as the back-commentary. Usually from my point of view. Anyways here are some of the examples:

[font=verdana][size=1]Sample 1: This is my main font and if you see this, it means it's coming from my point-of-view.

[blue]Sample 2: If you see this, it means I'm trying put some other "type" of view, maybe from others, or corrections to the commentary.

[red]Sample 3: Just "notes" or points to find out! Like this one:

*Note: You may see or not see these "extra" comments (rainbow system) within the commentary*

Alrighty then, enough of the long and painful introduction:

[color=white][size=7]WHITE SILVER'S COMMENTARY!

One Piece Chapter 432

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-01.jpg
[font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Enter..... LUFFY'S GRANDPA??????

[b]Family Member Revealed: Okay, this really cut down the "Gol D. Roger" is Luffy's Grandfather theory. Nobody would've expected Vice-Admiral Garp to be anybody but that. Honestly, this guy really shed some light into Luffy's past (family ones). The timing was really perfect for an interesting revelation. But wait.....

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-02.jpg
[font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Some training........ :s

[b]Luffy's Future: Apparently this guy is a lot more that just a simple-minded boy. His Grandfather is a Vice-Admiral and his Brother a Whitebeard crew Commander, and his future was to be a marine? Wow, I can see that now. Luffy the Marine King! Anyways, the training is quite ridiculous (in a good way). No wonder Luffy is so withstanding against heavy punishment.
[font=verdana][size=1]-- I think that may inspire me!!

[font=verdana][color=blue][size=1]-- According to Luckas04, Garp sent Luffy and Ace to train with a "certain" person. Who could he be? I can foresee another interesting revelation ahead.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-03.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]FIST OF THE MONKEY!!

[u][b]You got no respect "BOY": Wow, that is some [color=red][color=yellow]Flaming Fist of of Passion right there. Luffy's morale is now weakned by the great authority of his Grandpa. Well, Luffy is sort of a rude type of person (non-intentional) of course. But if his Grandpa wanted him to be a marine or so, he should teach him some manners. Like his brother Ace for instance. But then, his love for pirating has grown so strong every since he met Shanks. I really couldn't imagine Luffy being in Ace's shoes. That would be too weird.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-04.jpg
[font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Like Grandfather, like Grandson like Brother (Sleep no evil) :notrust

The Snooze-booze: Okay, this the FIRST time I've seen Luffy sleep on a random basis. Although it seems Portgas D. Ace inherited this "stronger" gene from his Grandfather. But by the looks of things, should Zoro be related to Luffy's Grandfather somehow??? :blink

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-05.jpg
[font=verdana][color=green][size=1]THE 4 KINGS!!!

[b]Emperor's Divide: Hold on there. Is Shanks really at that level? That's a sort of an amazing feat considering he used to be partners with Buggy the Clown who is completely inferior to him. I wonder how much does this guy have on his head? Whitebeard, is now considered the "benchmark" for pirate leveling now eh. 4 Kings ruling the sea. Boy I can tell you this is going to be ONE LONG SERIES! I wonder what's going to happen if Luffy meets Shanks again? Moreover, what about the rest of the Kings? I really find unbelievable that there are really strong Pirates out there, and Whitebeard (being the strongest) it's quite assumable that there is none like him nor equal him except for Gol D. Roger. Seems like the new Pirate era brings more promising pirates than ever.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-06.jpg
[font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Zoro's lost again..... *smirk* :tem

[b]An "overlooked" detail: Take a good look at those guys who get knocked out by Zoro. Check out their T-shirts "Michael and Hoichael". Does it ring any bells? My guess is not. But somebody at this forum (I'll find out who he is), managed to find out. And here it is!

[font=verdana][size=1]-- Many thanks to Dark Zeza who discovered this. He must have great eye-memory co-ordination. Come on, none of you could've found out! :notrust

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-06b.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Hmm..... you're suspecting the wrong dudes!

I'd bet anything you're reaction is just like this:

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-06a.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Yeah you know it's true!

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-07.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]The mysterious guys....

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-07a.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]First strike...

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-07b.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]WOW. That's nice! Hmm... Soru?????

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-07c.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]OOppsss.. not a good situation to be in!

[b]Mystery Marines: Well well well. Another surprise back there and to those who made the good guess who they are, good for you! [b]*hint hint: A certain facial part was the dead giveaway* I knew immediately who those people were and I was just amazed how much they were progressed. And to those who have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about......

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-08.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Ah..ahh..ahh...ahhhh.... NO WAY!

[b]Mystery Marines REVEALED: Now you get it! It's Coby and Helmeppo from the first Chapters in One Piece. It's just so amazing how far they've progressed in that short period amount of time. And who'd ever thought that "Soru" (a CP9 technique) could be learned within other divisions of the Marines.

[font=verdana][color=green][size=1]-- Or maybe it's just a special case for Coby and Helmeppo.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-09.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]OOHHHH IT'S THE GUY FROM SHANDIA. Or not..... :(

[b]MIND BLOWING REVELATION: Okay, forget the fact that Luffy has a Vice-Admiral Grandfather and his Commander Brother (Whitebeard). Now it's revelaed that Dragon is HIS FATHER? Oh great, monkeys are now being the main cause of trouble in manga nowadays (Dragonball alert). Considering his dad is from a revolutionist army, we're talking BIG storyline here.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/432-10.jpg
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Yeah, that's my reaction as well!

[b]This is one WEIRD family: Great, his Grandfather had to OPENLY reveal about Luffy's father. Now everybody would take his name a LOT MORE SERIOUS. Now here's the common thing about Luffy and his Father. Both of them are now "main" enemies of the World Government (considering that they know Luffy burnt down the WG flag).

[color=red][font=verdana][size=3]Rating:http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gifhttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gifhttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gifhttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gifhttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gif

[font=verdana][color=teal]Bonus Stars:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/REDSTAR.gif

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Honestly, a LOT MORE is revealed here than in most of the whole 400+ chapters combined. This really makes it look like that this just the beginning point for Luffy to be the Pirate King. I'll expect more unexpected twists and events and soon to come. Oda to me is the "best" storyteller out there, non-picture and picture. I hope you really enjoy my comments so far. This is my first try and any criticism is gladly taken.

Very well done, White Silver. I like the style of your comments: ironic but but precise. This a chapter whick invites readers to make theories, but that's not my cup of tea, so I'll lazy wait instead of thinking on my own. :eyeroll
What caught my attention was the fact Garp sent Luffy and Ace to a friend: why did he do that? Is there some hidden and misterious reason?
And how is it possible that a marine vice-admiral is in contact with most wanted man, Monkey D Dragon, to the point to know he met his son Luffy?

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Oh, my first reply! Thanks Luckas04, I really thought it was quite mediocre.

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Well, I love theories, I really hope what you say is true!

What caught my attention was the fact Garp sent Luffy and Ace to a friend: why did he do that? Is there some hidden and misterious reason?

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Yes, I really want to know about that too *goes to edit comments*. So we can say that Garp asked a friend to train Luffy (could he be a marine too?). Here's a crazy speculation. They say they have 3 Admirals: Aokiji, that one dude (I forgot) and another one. Could he be?

And how is it possible that a marine vice-admiral is in contact with most wanted man, Monkey D Dragon, to the point to know he met his son Luffy?

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]I can think of two things:

1. He used a denden mushi (very unlikely) but it's possible in a funny way.

2. He came in contact just as he did with Smoker.

Again thanks for you comments. It's inspiring me to do chapter 433 Commentary!

That is until there are more replies.

Nicely done White Silver. I thought no one will take over GK's 10 comments one piece!

Haha, I am looking forward to see GK's comments on Naruto as well. :p

About the geezer you guys were talking about, since he was old around Garp's age, he might be his friend. But I really doubt that cuz he was rather weak to look after Luffy and Ace.

Thanks White Silver, for giving me credit, actually it was just an accident when I notice them. :eyeroll
Im sure if people notice your signature they will come to give comments. I am looking forward to see your 433 commentary.

It's nice for you to do the OP comments Silvy. Since GK decided to stop his comments on OP and Bleach, I thought that we may not have any more comments on OP. Glad that you've taken the spot :grin I was tempted to make my own comments, but I think it's better for me to not to, at least at the current moment.

Honestly, I like your comments :thumbs I'd love to comment more, but I'm on the verge of collapsing right now, I'm too sleepy right now >.>

Anyway, when I came online tomorrow, I'll make sure that I'll be back to make some comments on your writings.

*******************************************************************************

Ok, I'm awake now. And as promised, I'll be commenting yours.

Family Member Revealed: Okay, this really cut down the "Gol D. Roger" is Luffy's Grandfather theory. Nobody would've expected Vice-Admiral Garp to be anybody but that. Honestly, this guy really shed some light into Luffy's past (family ones). The timing was really perfect for an interesting revelation. But wait.....

I am quite surprised to see this too. Although we saw more of Garp in the anime fillers, it's nice to see him takes center attention in this chapter!! That was quite unsuspected.

Luffy's Future:

You got no respect "BOY": Wow, that is some Flaming Fist of of Passion right there.

Hmm... Oh thought I saw this "Fist of Love" somewhere in other manga or anime. Can't really remember the name, I'll get back for that. It's acary how was Luffy's life when he was a child. Been thrown off the cliff? :s

I don't know about Ace's reaction to this. He probably knows that Garp is his grandpa. And may react differently from Luffy.

Emperor's Divide: Hold on there. Is Shanks really at that level? That's a sort of an amazing feat considering he used to be partners with Buggy the Clown who is completely inferior to him

o.O Four Emperors? Again rings a bell. Because in the anime/manga Get Backers, they also have the Four Kings known as VOLTS. And yeah, I know *self-applied* that Shanks is a major porate, but not to this extent!! And Luffy is right to make Shanks his idol.

Mystery Marines REVEALED: Now you get it! It's Coby and Helmeppo from the first Chapters in One Piece. It's just so amazing how far they've progressed in that short period amount of time. And who'd ever thought that "Soru" (a CP9 technique) could be learned within other divisions of the Marines.

Many of us already predicted they are Coby and Helmeppo. But, what surprising is that they looked very different. Notice the scar on Coby's face? Must be because of Garop's incredible training. And again, surprisingly, they have no second thought of attacking Luffy and Zoro :amuse

Although they were pwned by Luffy and Zoro in seconds, I believe they're strong. To be sergeants on the legendary Garp's ship, must be something, right? Wait!! Coby used Soru?

MIND BLOWING REVELATION: Okay, forget the fact that Luffy has a Vice-Admiral Grandfather and his Commander Brother (Whitebeard). Now it's revelaed that Dragon is HIS FATHER? Oh great, monkeys are now being the main cause of trouble in manga nowadays (Dragonball alert). Considering his dad is from a revolutionist army, we're talking BIG storyline here.

And seriously, the greatest revelation of this chapter. Who would have thought this is going to happen? No wonder he said something encouraging when he rescued and let GM sailed away from Logue Town ages ago. Until, I know more about Dragon than what already been revealed by Oda-sensei, I'll leave my impressions on Dragon at just that.

Wee!!!! Nice comments Silvy :thumbs As yours, my ratings will be also 5 out of 5. It's been awhile since I've enjoyed OP this much :amuse

Nice OP comments, a bit different but entertaining nonetheless!
Thanks!
-Family reveal- I glad Garp was Luffy's Grandpa instead of GD Roger, this is much more like Oda style.
-Emperor's divide- After this chapter, I think they going to speed up and all all four emperor probably show up all as one and the other 2 powers.
-An overlooked detail- That was genious- thanks Dark Zeza
-Mystery Marines- eventhough my instint tell me it going to be those 2 but I had my dought
-Mind blowing Revelation- Wow, I never thought Dragon would be Luffy's father, honestly I can't see the resemblence.
*That's it for now. Looking foward for future OP comments =P

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Yes, I was really quite confused how Luffy was able to attain such power training in an Island. This chapter put a lot of sense to Luffy's unnatural strength.

I don't know about Ace's reaction to this. He probably knows that Garp is his grandpa. And may react differently from Luffy.

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Well, Garp did say he sent Luffy and Ace to train with a "certain" person.

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]
Yes you're right, Luffy meeting up with Shanks is like 1/1,000,000 possibility, not to mention him being a "top" class pirate. I really didn't think much of him honestly until this chapter.

Many of us already predicted they are Coby and Helmeppo. But, what surprising is that they looked very different. Notice the scar on Coby's face? Must be because of Garop's incredible training. And again, surprisingly, they have no second thought of attacking Luffy and Zoro :amuse
[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]
*hands over cookie*, yeah but there might be someone who may not recognize them. Garp really trained them well.

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Question is, what purpose has Dragon for Luffy. It seems he's supporting him to become the Pirate King. Maybe he wants a strong ally in the Revolution?

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Thanks. But you're wrong about the "training" part. At page 10, Garp said to Luffy:

"In the end, I left you and Ace with my friend, asking him to train you guys"!

By-gonit you're right! BUT the page is 3/4 depending on if you count the cover page or not :p

Hehe anyway about 433, how should we do that? Should we work on a odd/even chapter system or a both do it at the same time system? I'm down for either way so it's up to you :tem

You said that the "Commander Brother" Luffy has is Whitebeard.....shouldn't that be Ace??

Yes, this did have a lot more revelations than I can count.
Was a nice touch to see Coby and Helmeppo return.....although Helmeppo's choice of eyewear doesn't fit with me (nor fit his character).....

Other than that, great chapter!
Glad to see these comments didn't go away!!
Thanks White Silver!

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Exactly, Ace is one of Whitebeards commanders in the ship. From my knowledge it's the 3rd or 2nd.

[b][font=verdana][color=green][size=1]Exactly, Ace is one of Whitebeards commanders in the ship. From my knowledge it's the 3rd or 2nd.

Oh, now I get what you mean....I got confused for a second there....
Yeah, Ace is the Commander of the Second Unit of the Whitebeard Pirates....

So now we know more about Luffy's family (and what a family it is!) there's Monkey D. Garp, Monkey. D. Dragon and........ Portgas D. Ace? Makes me wonder if Luffy and Ace are just half-brothers or if they're even related. (Though given that they have similar habits I think the latter seems a bit unlikely.)

[b][font=verdana][size=1]Maybe Ace changed his name on the way. If Oda keeps revealing stuff we might find out next week!
