"Manga to Anime Conversion" - Question Thread

Good morning,

first of all, I started this thread because some manga-fans asking about the "anime-version of her favourite manga", how are/is the conversion of this.
Anyway, here in this thread should better aks mangas/animes, which hasn´t his own forum-sections. I mean forum-sections like "One Piece" or other mangas. I now also, that many mangas has her own thread, but it mostly for the manga not for the anime.

So, that was it and my first anime-conversion-question(s) ist about Cross Game:

1. How is the production of the story in the anime-version ? It is better as the manga ? I have dropped the manga, because the story und the character-feelings was to lame for me ( I have stopped it at chapter 40 ).
2. Has the anime "filler" or is an anime like "Hajime No Ippo" or "FMA: Brohterhood ?

I don't watch Cross Game or even read the manga. >.<

The one thing I look for when a manga converts to an anime is that the stories/plot remain the same. The art will change somewhat but the animators do the best work they can. Black and white for manga and color for anime are both special in their fields. The manga will concentrate more on lines and shading etc. While the anime adapts the manga to make it watchable for all the fans. You have to take in voices, colors, scenery, and most important the animation portion. Anime makes the manga come to life and as long as it's not filler, I will continue watching.

I agree. IF the story is the same or if there isnt too much taken out, or added in for that matter, i will give it a try.

HOWEVER i have one rule;if i start an anime i finish it. Even if it pains me.

Long running mainstream shows (the ones for 'normal' people) tend to be changed slightly more. More fillers and possibly events are placed in a different time. Some changes tend to do okay with the audience.

Short running niche otaku series tend to be much more loyal to the series. Otakus were extremely dissapointed with KimiKiss because it wasn't 'ero-kawaii' any more (originally it's a love-sim). KimiKiss's anime added two more male characters, have love triangles and resembles a shoujo manga without any fanservice (personally I liked it, but it was a commerial failure). Also, blame Kyoto Animation. They're the one who can practically animate a carbon copy of the original yet still make things work (excuse me for fanboygirlism). Now we're spoit, knowing it is possible to animate something exactly the same as the original.

On the other hand, following something too closely bores the hell out of me. Especially if it's medicore-ly animated. I look forward to KHR's fillers more then the non-fillers...
