So, Pain thinks that Naruto is a sand Shinobi, and he's trying to capture it (Naruto is of course from Konoha and won't do anything) and that Danzo is from the village as well (but he's in Konoha as well)
He has a paper clone Konan as support.
Who wins?

This match has not really been explained properly, is pain here to capture or kill naruto. And you might aswell call this Pain vs Naruto, Gaara and Danzou because to be quite frank the village is pretty useless; look at when Sasori/Deidara infiltrated it.

I actually think Gaara's sand would be really effective against God-realm Pain, especially on his home turf. The control he exhibits over the sand is intense, and his quick and simultaneous attack and defense would theoretically allow him to easily overcome the Shinra Tensei's five-second cooldown and take him out. I wonder if Hungry Ghost can absorb the chakra from Gaara's sand before being crushed. If so, the killing pressure can be negated before it is applied. All in all, too many unknowns on power compatibility to render an adequate argument.

Konoha managed to take some bodies out before Naruto's arrival ....Two to be exact (though Naraka Path was saved at the neck of the moment..)
Though Nagato reviving them is quite bothersome in the long run..
But Suna? pain will win ..

Gaara + sand everywhere + not caring for his village = win :p
In all other cases when Gaara will try to protect village and stuff <you know: village is useless, maybe Kankurou or Temari or Baki would do sth, but all in all it would come to Gaara vs Pain> there's no other way as: Nagato wins.

No, only one body was taken out, by Kakashi. Hell Realm wasn't damaged in the slightest by Konohamaru's Rasengan, Shiro-kun.

I wonder if Chyo's brother is also a kicka** ninja. together with gaara, temari, kankuro this could be interesting. The landscape is perfect for gaara and kankuro who could hide his puppets in the sand and do some sneaky atacks.
But in the end pain would win.

Pain is WAYYYYYYY too powerful.
The only ninja possibly giving pain trouble is gaara of course, and even then it is not much

I agree with raizen. The possibility of gaara and an army of ninja giving pein long term trouble is about null. Seriously, naraku was a non fighting body and he still took out as many ninja as necessary and ebizu who was a jonnin like he was worthless fodder lol -granted konohamaru got lucky-. Pein is far too overly powerful. Sand gives gaara an advantage but I would find it hard for him to avoid powerful ST or BT in the long while at the same time avoid asura and fat pein. Pein also has flying summons. If things inexplicably get hard for pein then he can use CT to get rid of the village so that he can deal with gaara personally. It is also very likely CT or SST can take out gaara too though.

Hell Realm was incapacitated temporarily so yes, SuperSaiyaMan.
-------------------------
It boils down to Gaara, Baki, Kankuro and Temari vs Pain.
Baki's probably useless here and Kankuro's puppets would get smashed to wood chips... then what would he do without them? Nothing, unless he's Sasori or Chiyo. Oh, but wait! His new puppet IS Sasori now so maybe he could use Iron Sand?
Imo, it really comes down to Gaara's sand onslaught and Temari's Kamaitachi (summon) tearing shit up. These two's Area of Effect skills would really be effective and they'd definitely take down at least 2 bodies (maybe just 1), but in the end they'd get fucked in the ass. It's not a fight I can see Pain winning in seconds, especially on Gaara's home turf where he's got all the sand in the world, I mean really, how many people in Konoha was Pain fighting that was AoE? (not saying he would lose anyway).
Gaara's no slouch by any means but Team Sand would lose, Pain's repertoire is just too otherworldly and trumps anything Sharingan related.

I'd be immensely surprised if temari's summon can take out even half a body lol. Sure it took out a sound 4 but there is no point in comparing fodder to pain.

Pretty simple...
Pain VS Hidden Sand = Pain
Pain VS Konoha = Pain
Pain VS Anyone = Pain for as far as we've seen.
If Konoha was pwned to the ground, hidden sand would have been pwned just that much faster & harder. Even Sasori & Deidara Pwned the hell out of Hidden Sand.
So far, Pain is the only hyped bad guy who hasn't been a complete disappointment.
All the other ones (like Itachi and Deidara) have been hyped and then just torn down and killed off like insects.

I have no idea why people keep saying Sasori and Deidara pwned/destroyed/beat Hidden Sand, at least the way Pain did to Konoha. They never did such thing. At most, they killed few guards to the entrance. Then they infiltrated Sand quietly, Deidara fought with Gaara, captured Gaara, and carried him out. Village and most citizens looked safe and healthy, albeit shocked. Thus, we have no idea how Kuno would do against Pain.
I think Gaara would stand a good chance against Pain. I have no idea how Shinra Tensei and Bansho Tenin fully works, whether it's specific to whom it's used on or whether it blanket affects everything in its path. Gaara's main problem would be Deva and Animal Pain. Quite basically, none of the other Pain has a way to defend against Gaara's sand except for Deva (ST and BT) and Animal (like Naruto summoning Gama to avoid being crushed by sand). I can't say more here as I have no idea whether Gaara's still the jinchuuriki or not. :s

Well, it is possible crushing fat pein with sand coffin and techniques of the sort won't work in the least againt fat considering every grain of salt he touches will be rid of chakra in a matter of seconds. I would think a touch on his part would make gaara's sand sphere into regular sand and the sand armor would just come of. I think people underestimate the degree of invulnerability this body actually has considering any and all ninjutsu is worthless against it and in physical combat he can suck chakra out of anyone is mere seconds or less.
Asura has decent speed and firepower. Some of his bombs might actually be stronger than deidara's basic attacks. He has freaking rockets on his feet, it is not out of the realm of possibilities he can actually outmaneuver gaara's sand. Anyways, this body would be better suited to take out the actual village than gaara while the others do fight the kid. His missiles and explosives seem more than easily capable of destroying blocks at a time, he should be capable of decimating hordes of ninjas as he parades through the sand village (kinda like he did in konoha to come extent).

Come on, Chibaku Tensei and the entire Sand village gets instantly sucked into a giant moon. Even if Gaara guards people against being crushed to death with his ultimate defense, no one in the Sand Village has the explosive power of the 8-tail form of Kyuubi to burst out, so they all starve to death inside lolz. I mean, if the 6-tailed chakra blasts can't stop Chibaku Tensei, Temari's penetrating wind attacks won't amount to anything ><, Kankuro's puppet attacks are worse than useless, and Gaara doesn't have a cutting or explosive attack, so game over?

I wouldn't say that CT is the best way to fight Gaara on the desert, really. Gaara could turn CT into his own weapon actually - the problem would be all the sucking to death ball.. I mean, to black ball, but I don't think it would be a real problem for Gaara's ability over sand. Actually ST/BT are the best ways to beat Gaara probably by Deva Path, not CT <but I do agree, that CT along with emoST would be the best to destroy the village, like from the beginning>

Pain just takes out Gaara quickly then does the gravity crush like he did on Konoha. Using the gravity crush before he beats Gaara would be risky as I see a Gaara overwhelming a weakened Pain due to the scale of his sand attacks (could kill 6 at once).

Even a weakened Pain would destroy Gaara handily. The gravity attacks made Gaara rather...redundant.

I don't think the situation has been explained well enough.
In a situation where it's a few one on one skirmishes, I think Gaara is more than equipped enough to fight each one of Pains body one on one and win the fight. He can use his sand to simply crush most of them and he also can shoot bullets out of his sand.
Preta Path - If he could absorb the chakra from Gaaras sand, Gaara has alternatives that don't necessarily need active chakra control, I would assume his sand bullets are compacted sand that is launched and doesn't actively need chakra to be formed.
Human and Nakara Path - Since Gaara doesn't fight at close distance and assuming his sand shield still functions, I think these two would be crushed or mutilated in some way by the sand.
Asura Path - I don't think his missiles and body would be enough to do any damage.
Deva Path - Would BT or ST be enough to do something to Gaara, I doubt it. In an area completely covered with sand if he was thrown back or pulled in he could very well just use the sand to stab him from behind. I don't think Gaara would give him the time to pull off chibaku tensei and if he did I would imagine that putting all the sand in the area into a large ball in the sky would work heavily in Gaaras favor.
Animal Path - I think would give Gaara the most problems because of the sheer number and variability of the summonings.
Again, it depends on the situation. I see Gaara able to dismantle everyone of them one by one.

I can't even believe people'd seriously believe that Gaara would even stand a chance against Pein Sama. This is Pein we'e talking about. The leader of the Akatsuki. The man who controlled 10 S-Ranked ninjas. The man who decimated konoha with little to no effort. One half of the child of prophecy. The Invinvible God. Know Pein. Fear Pein.

Yeah, Gaara on the desert is far more powerful than on another terrain. That's why ppl believe that Gaara can put a decent fight until his defeated. This wouldn't be fair saying just: Pain defeats Gaara in 1sec or sth similar.

Yes pain did start akatsuki and yes he has 10 S-Ranked criminals within his orginisation. If i recall NONE were in akatsuki against their will.
Itachi - Joined to keep an eye on madara
Kisami - no explanation given
Deidara - take revenge on Itachi
Sasori - no obvious reason
Hidan - to kill more people for his religion
Kakazu - Money/greed
Konan - following nagato
Zetsu - no obvious reason
Madara - Moon eye plan
all their main reason was to be given a biju and become the ultimate mercenary army.
Pain is powerfull, but as been shown by mulitply ninja its possible to defeat pain bodies 1 by 1 (kakashi and jirayi did show this).
A single pain body is powerfull but doesn't a chance against a kage. Pain his bodies were primarily designed to increase its total power through team work (And to preserve his own chakra).
Suna is a weak village at this moment in time due to orochimaru, the fuedal lord and latest deidara/sasori attack.
Suna have lost possibly lost hundreds of chuunin and jounin level ninja in their fight against konoha and during deidara/sasori attack. You cant build a ninja army within a few years.
if pain were to attack the sand village and fight like he did in konoha its quite possible that Suna is able to take down at max 4 bodies of pain
human path: could be killed without much trouble by either temari, kankuro and gaara.
Asura path: shouldn't be a problem for kankuro since he is the master puppeteer atm
Naraka path: shouldnt be a problem for temari or gaara
Praeta path: the only one who would be able to stand a chance against this path is kankuro for him being a puppeteer and not using any ninjutsu but only chakra manipulation (wich doesnt) cost much chakra to use.
The animal path and Deva path cannot be beat by temari, kankuro and gaara. Gaara might be able to stand a chance against the animal path but certainly not the deva path.
This match up can only be done when all pain bodies are taken apart by the sand, and were the sand knows pain is coming (no intensive preparation is needed for this)

If pain attacks suna that means nagato has to be near...in the desert. He already had some breathing problems while hiding in the forest, if a sandstorm occurs while hes attacking hes pretty much fucked. Additionally, depending on the moving mechanism of nagatos wheelchair, he could very much be a sitting duck as sand makes it hard for wheels to properly function. If there are Suna scouts patrolling around the village (which I dont see why not) and one of them happens to spot nagato, he could probably (being a sand ninja) know of a good ambushing strategy. There is also no konan to protect nagato and help him hide. The scout pretty much needs to avoid standing in front of nagato to avoid the chakra rod and he could just back stab him. Or just run back to the village, report to garaa, and let him take care of things.
Anyway, they should be able to see pein comming before he ambushes the village like he did to konoha. If that happens, Garaa can just wait outside the village and solo pein. One huge ass sand tsunamy and if hes lucky enough, he gets nagato too. Though I would be curious as to how Garaas absolute defense would fair against chibaku tensei, considering Garaa can breath inside the sand... it would only boost his defense. Or perhaps he could counter it by manipulating the sand himself. So how can pein penetrate Garaas absolute defense while at the same time avoiding the sand THAT IS RIGHT UNDER THEM? Imo Garaa just needs to sit in his chibaku tensei absolute defense and let Nagato choke to death.

Konoha was left in ruins DESPITE knowing some/most of Pain's secrets. They knew each body had one power each before hand, they knew they had shared vision, they knew who to take down to end the summons, etc. Gaara & Suna don't have that luxury here (since the creator never stated it). So this is no-contest really. Pain would take this quite easily. Deva Path & any other Path would be enough to take Gaara. He attacks his blind-side to kil that body...but he somehow manages to block every single attack from Gaara. He won't know why, and he won't figure it out completely for a while. Jiraiya alone didn't figure that out, it took Pa AND Jiraiya to figure that out. Plus, if he somehow manages to take out one body...it will be revived shortly after that. Thus quite possibly catching Gaara off-guard and killing him in an instant. Pain is just too broken, and if you don't hand out his secrets to boot, there is only a handful of people that could put up a good fight...and even less the one's that could actually take him out.

Actually, I think Suna would do far better then Konoha did against Pain, even without knowing his secrets. Gaara himself would be a force to be reckoned with, even against the six Paths. With an entire desert of sand to use, Gaara would be able to combat all six Paths at the same time. We've seen that Gaara is fast enough to catch Kage level opponents, so catching the individual Paths shouldn't be any problem. That in itself should get rid of Hell Path, Human Path, and maybe Animal Path and Asura Path. Once he draws them underground, that's the end of them. Hungry path should be able to survive by absorbing the chakra out of the sand and Deva Path by Shinra Tensei'ing the sand away. But that's where the rest of Suna can come in. Kankuro can trap Hungry Path inside one of his puppets and then let Gaara draw it underground and with him by himself, a consistent onslaught should eventually finish Deva Path off enough for Gaara to seal with the other. If Deva Path tries to use Chou Shinra Tensei, Gaara can protect the whole village like he did against Deidara's C3. Gaara's fighting style would be a benefit against Pain.

Pein get's there, interogates one of them and finds out Naruto is not from that village. Then he:
Would just go away but let's say he does not:
Super ST the entire village killing them all including Gaara.
CT the entire place and killing them all including Gaara. If 6 tails Naruto is flat on his belly and his super insane powerfull shield is bleeding down, the same shield that stoped a piercing move that trew him back a insane distance from a sword stated to damage even damantine then the succion from CT's power is going to crush anything and pull anything up and Gaara is dead. Nothing in Gaara arsenal has enough power to fight off the gravity/magnetic (probably magnetic as gravity can't push and then can push to) pull from that thing. Anything would be puppled up and crushed.
So all in all easy and instant win from Nagato.
Now let's say this is Gaara vs Pein and Pein is not going to just ST/CT the entire area.
BT+soul rip = dead Gaara, next? Before you say the sand shield bla bla bla that is going to crumble the moment it get's into close proximity to fat realm as he will just extend his shield and make it lose chakra and stop te jutsu (the shield is a type of jutsu). Hell fat Pein can instantly drain all of Gaara's chakra.
Oh end if i was Pein i would just make it rain and then Gaara is useless lol.

Sand Village wins.
Unlike Konoha's surroundings this is a desert with nothing but sand and Nagato needs some high place to control his paths, which means his only option is on those large rock plateaus around the village, which are probably covered by Gaara's sensor sand, so he's a sitting duck out there.
Ignoring that, Suna still has the better odds of victory.
-Chou Shinra Tensei is useless since with all the sand around Gaara shouldn't have any trouble defending everybody. Afterwards Pain loses shinra tensei, thus his only effective way to do something against those masses of sand.
-Chibaku Tensei? Everything that gets sucked up into the sphere is sand, so all Pain would accomplish is creating a Mini Moon sized weapon for Gaara to control... not only that but he'd shut down all this other realms as well and on top of that he even has to pump his chakra into Chibaku Tensei to keep it maintained. If he stops the jutsu he'll just unleash a shitload of sand which Gaara can direct at godrealm, his only remaining body. Now consider that God Realm needs to be close to Nagato to use Chibaku Tensei and I'am sure you can figure out why he's in deep shit.
So with those two large scale jutsu trumpcards out of the way Pain has only his actual bodies to fight, and with the power boost Gaara gets from the desert, Temari, Kankuro and Baki around and even a shitload of fodders for distraction I give Suna enough credit to take those realms down.

Both Pain and DeiDei-chan were going after the jinchuuriki, they weren't trying to destroy the village from the start. Thats said, DeiDei-chan did nothing to SunaGakure because of Gaara's Kuusa Bouheki : >

The same: Pain at the beginning wanted to search for the jinchuuriki. If he was just trying to destroy it from the beginning, the moment Paths landed inside the village <or in other words: Deva Path> he would Shinra Tensei the whole village to pieces. With Gaara and the sand around its not that simple <Gaara proved AT LEAST 2 times that his reaction speed in using big amount of sand to protect sth/somebody is top notch: while DeiDei-chan used C3 on the village and in the newest chapter when he protected his division with randoms>
