Well Well Well,

It wasn't long since my last commentary! *Surprise Surprise* :smile-big here's another one for you. Hope you enjoyed my previous comments, I've got a lot of positive feedback from then, :smile-big and it's because of your support I've decided to continue on commenting on One Piece. If you happen to find a lot of "strange" things in my thread, like my "rainbow" system and the "Star" rating system, please check [i]chapter 432 at the bottom of my signature! Anyways, I'm pretty sure Garaku would be starting his "own" version of his commentary on this chapter quite soon if not later. (I hope he posts the link in his signature so we'll know if it's released or not). As a matter of fact, I hope that you check out his commentaries, it's good to find out two different points of view in the chapter.

*Note: There will be "two" changes here in the commentary. One is that, I'll start using alphabets to mark per comment. Secondly, in order to reduce the pictures being scrolled out, especially bandwith for the dial-up users, I'll be enforcing ! Spoiler ! tags for the pictures. I really hope this doesn't bring any inconvience to you. (If it does please tell me!) Thanks for hearing me out! :)

LET THE COMMENTARIES BEGIN!

WHITE SILVER'S COMMENTARY!

[u]One Piece Chapter 434

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-01.png
[b]WAKE UP YOU MISERABLE B*(*&, [b]MIGHTY THUNDER OF ZEUS ATTACK !!

A. [u]The "Best" Alarm Clock....EVER......: Looks like Enel is up to no good again, first he sees a sleeping guy and now he wants to wake him up in the most "godly" way possible. By THUNDER! From his perspective, that's just one exzzzziting way for a wake-up call!! The symbol is quite similar to Luffy's Pirate Flag, only his is a "Tall" hat. Is he a pirate of some sort? Well, we may find out in the next volume. *BITZZ* *Ouch*

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-02.jpg
[b]You see Padawan, that is what we call a "major" shift in the balance.......

B. [u]A change of Design: In a normal case, the original Manga keeps it's designs, while being a disturbance to some people the Animated version changes or a certain *cough* Viz *cough*. This is the first time a Manga idea or design is changed for the very same reason. According to Wikipedia, Oda's Swastika Design for Whitebeard (which is cool by the way), has made quite a disturbance to the public, in fact, it's so disturbing that not only have the Anime changed it's design he was forced to change the design in the Manga as well (which is quite disturbing to readers like me). Anyways what's done is done..

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-03.png
[b]And he's DOWN for the count.... 1... 2.... oh whatever

C. [u]Mysterious KO's: Well, it looks like someone has boarded the ship, and apprently, one of Whitebeard's commanders have stated that only a "Half-assed resolution can't retain his/her conciousness from that man". Must be someone really great, just in case you haven't noticed, usually mangas (fighting) employ this "Ki" concept where an opponent would faint, lose consciousness or see violent images of death in their eyes against an Adversary who has a superior amount of "Ki/internal energy" in them. Naruto/Rorouni Kenshin/DBZ emply similar methods as well (usually it comes in a form of "Killing Intent"). Must be part of the Japanese/Asian culture. Anyways, it'ss pretty impressive, he can practically go to a "Marine base" threatening them with his energy and none would stand up (unless they have someone who can). Here's another view of what I mean:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-03a.png
[b]Ahhh... FOOD POISONING ALERT!!!

And who is this "mysterious" guy??? http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-03b.png
[b]Hello Ladies.......

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-04.png
[b]I wonder what shoe size he has????

D. [u]Talk of the "Past":Wow, it seems that these folks go way back! 22 years?? That's a long time. Some familiar names show up "Garp", "Roger" and "Sengoku"?? The Fleet Admiral??? Wow, this guy is one big shot to be mentioned. I wonder what the old days were like with him. According to their discussion, these people "knew" the seas before are a lot more than it is now. I wonder what that means? Maybe it's because there weren't enough Pirates out there occupying the sea or such and such. But I always wonder what the "era" like 22 years before. Well Shanks better have something better to say than talk about "Old Times Sake".

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-05.png
[b]That's right! *Stands up with Pride*

E. [u]WHAT!!! :o :o :o :woot : Okay, that's something "new". *Gosh Oda you keep bombarding us US with revelations*. An "apprentice" from the Pirate King himself. Looks like I can understand why they're being so familiar between each other. I just find this quite difficult to eat but easy to swallow. And here I thought Shanks was just another "pirate". The links between the characters are almost invisible but at the same time "strong". It's really amazing for Shanks to grow in such a level, but anyways, it's a very interesting revelation. This can also explain why Buggy "knew" about Whitebeard so well.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-06.png
[b]My left arm?? :nana Like I'm telling you!!!

F. [u]Yes, who cut your arm?: That's a very big mystery the people out there (though we really know what happened). I'd bet Whitebeard would go nuts to see a lousy Eel bit off one of the 4 Emperor's Arms. The flashback about Luffy had stopped Shanks from explaining so. I guess he wanted Whitebeard to find out "eventually" the greater threat to his position as the "Strongest Man in the World" is none other than Luffy. That arm was the sacrifice of making the future Pirate King, and I think what Shanks see in Luffy is probably the same as Gol D. Roger. I'd bet he can't wait to get his hat back!

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-07.png
[b]You mean "wounds"! :p :smile-big

G. [u]The "tri-scar" mystery: You know, I *gulped* in curiousity before reading the next page. Surely this is one of the many questions fans would like to know. If you read Rorouni Kenshin/Samurai X, you'd think of the same question: "What is the history behind that scar?" (and then some fanboys go, "you know? I want that scar too"). And now it is about to be revealed. Shanks mentioned about it being "aching" more than his "other" wounds. Maybe it's because it had something to do with a really "painful" memory.

May I remind you I was gasping at this point. I nearly didn't read this chapter for some reason (maybe it's to soon to be revealed) but anways...

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-08.png
[b]NO FRICKEN WAY!!!

[b]H. [u]BLACKBEARD????: I was totally surprised by this revelation. One of the 4 Pirate Emperors who fought with Hawk Eye multiple times talks about a pirate who deems a greater threat than one can imagine. In other words, Blackbeard is just using Whitebeard as a camoflauge to devise his real intentions. He must be some real serious dude to do that damage to Shanks (if in fact Shanks say is true of not being an "accident"). From my understanding, Blackbeard Edward Teach is Oda's favourite pirate, that's why he included him in One Piece, honestly I just thought he'd be done over with Ace, until now. Being his favourite Pirate, he's eventually going to put him in the spotlight as the "main" villain of some sort, I don't know. Darn, he's more mysterious than the Akatsuki.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-09.png
[b]Ahoy there! Can you hear me from below??

I. [u]A far more threat that we could've imagined: Now I'm worried too. Ace, being a 2nd Divisional Commander of Whitebeard's crew just made me think that he's really a top-notch guy that can handle trouble, even guys like Blackbeard, and honestly, I've always wanted to see them meet each other while Ace teaches him a good lesson. But reality hits here, "Reputation" and "Trust" blinded Whitebeard from the real truth. Ace may not (it's difficult to say) defeat Blackbeard at all!!! Looks like Shanks have some bond with Ace just like Luffy, and he's looks really worried about the situation.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-10.png
[b]Out of that *clash* came something sweet, real SWEET

J. [u]Rejection! NOW FIGHT: Looks like Whitebeard don't approve of Shanks' concern. I wonder what do you call the weapon Whitebeard uses? But it seems real nasty to me, the power of their clash can split a cloud in half. Now we're TALKING BUSINESS HERE! So this is what it's like between Hawk-Eye and Shanks which brings the question: Who's the better swordsman?. According to this chapter, it wasn't mentioned who won against who. I wonder why Hawk-eye is considered the best if he can't take down another swordsman? Looks like we'll expecting some MAJOR action between Zoro and Hawk-eye after witnessing this scene!

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-11.png
[b]Even with my "Sniper" lens, I can't FIND THE DAMN COMIC STRIP SECTION! :cussing

K. [u]Latest News Report: As much as we haven't anticipated. The World Government is not keeping secrets this time! I mean, how would they explain the destruction of Enies Lobby? Guess they're taking Luffy a lot more serious this time. That would surely cause fear and panic to wherever Luffy goes! If he has to get a bounty, it must be something quite attractive like "250 million beli" at most. I'm anticipating this guy to pit up against SogeKing. Oohh... my body is tingling at the thought! But here's the thing, is "Blackbeard Teach" the replacement of Crocodile now? Great, now he can have the Government at his side too!

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/434-12.png
[b]Hey Teach, looking for a "light" for your cigar?

L. [u]Just when I thought it wouldn't happen so soon: This doesn't look good. Had the conversation between Whitebeard and Shanks been removed, I would've jumped for complete joy. But now I'm really worried, this scene is "unforgivingly" familiar as "Team Asuma vs. Akasuki" one. I pray and hope there'll be no "unwanted" deaths here. I want to see MORE ACE!! Let us see what Oda has in store for us!

The cool "symbol" behind Ace's back has now reverted to the Anime version. I really hoped Oda would create something better than that!

[b]Rating:http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gifhttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gifhttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gifhttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gifhttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/kunai_jutsu/OP%20Commentary/star.gif

Bonus Stars:

[b]Just when I thought it was over, Oda has yet again surprised us again with this chapter. It's like the whole "Enies Lobby" (which took forever) paid off with the last 4 chapters. After finding out a lot of things, it's good lot of the revealed things behind and can now completely focus on the here and now! Blackbeard may be the "main" villain at one point but knowing Oda, there's definitely something about the World Government and the ponyglyphs. The pace is getting better and better and it's more exciting as it progresses. Hope you'll tune in for my comments next week!

[b]B. A change of Design: In a normal case, the original Manga keeps it's designs, while being a disturbance to some people the Animated version changes or a certain *cough* Viz *cough*.

There are a lot of cases about this in Japanese manga. Well, actually *personally* it's actually nothing offending. The problem is that, there are certain people that are sensitive to the swastika (ie: religions, Nazi, so on...). I mean no offense because I'm just stating my view. And I don't have anything against anyone ^_^ But the new flag is cooler for me though. Sorry of anyone is offended. I really don't mean it.

C. Mysterious KO's: Well, it looks like someone has boarded the ship, and apprently, one of Whitebeard's commanders have stated that only a "Half-assed resolution can't retain his/her conciousness from that man".

Intimidating Shanks is currently on board! Woohoo!!! In my view, it's just a metaphor of Shanks' character drawn by Oda. Unless Oda is proposing a DF for Shanks, I don't see any other way. Perhaps it's a tradition to draw some "High-Reriatsu" effect like this in mangas. We've seen so many of this, yes.

About Shanks' character I said earlier, Oda just wants to show us the spirit of a man. A real man. He lost his arms but he never lost sight of his goal (whatever that is >.>). Shanks has always been a character that is full of life and always at the top of his spirit. This is important, since that we are probably enterign the second half of OP, where all the characters must have strength and personality. We've seen Oda preparing for this long ago. The latest would be the transition of character of Usopp to Sogeking.

D. Talk of the "Past":Wow, it seems that these folks go way back! 22 years?? That's a long time. Some familiar names show up "Garp", "Roger" and "Sengoku"?? The Fleet Admiral??? Wow, this guy is one big shot to be mentioned. I wonder what the old days were like with him.

Now, this is quite something. I just can imagine the anime would really love to do a filler on this. One or two episodes of flashbacks of 22 years ago, sounds not bad at all. Can you imagine Roger was like Luffy? Brave the GL, finding nakamas and aimed to be the best there is? And then Sengoku chasing them around like Smoker did?

What I believe, from their discussion, are truly the memories of their young adventures. It's a custom that, when two long lost people met, they'll start trading stories, memories and also spark back old rivalries.

I like the way you're saying it *cookies*
I don't know whether Shanks really intend to stop Luffy from being the Pirate King. But I'm sure the arrogant Whitebeard is!! When these two meet, I bet Whitebeard will say "If you wanna stand on top of the world, you have to go through me first kid". And I really believe, Shanks won't accept his hat back, if Luffy is not able to defeat him first.

Look, Shanks really love Luffy. He sacrificed his hand to save Luffy and he was in ecstasy when he heard Luffy got his first bounty. "Luffy, you finally came". That is golden. Shanks is a man of dream, if he can't fullfil it, then he'll pass his dream to someone else. And looks like, Luffy was his target from the start of OP!!

Well nice comments again. The other part I did not write here because you said what I'm going to say.
I will give this chapter 5 stars as well. Two big battles are incoming. So, should be interesting...

[b]I was too excited I had to post the commentary! Plus the quick MQ by Kokotas and Cez just made was all the more encouraging!

[b]Well, at least they won't get to see the annoyance of the pictures being scrolled out, etc.!

*Goes to update comments*

There are a lot of cases about this in Japanese manga. Well, actually *personally* it's actually nothing offending. The problem is that, there are certain people that are sensitive to the swastika (ie: religions, Nazi, so on...). I mean no offense because I'm just stating my view. [b]Anybody affected by the WWII (especially in the west) may have something against it. Well anyways I'm not really that discontented.

[b]Indeed we have. I just don't know how Shanks is able to keep "growing" while buggy doesn't? It's amazing that we get to see the side of Shanks which reveals his true nature.

About Shanks' character I said earlier, Oda just wants to show us the spirit of a man. A real man. He lost his arms but he never lost sight of his goal (whatever that is >.>). Shanks has always been a character that is full of life and always at the top of his spirit. The latest would be the transition of character of Usopp to Sogeking.

[b]Shanks is a cool guy nonetheless, Oda must have one heck of "storyboard" to come up with something like this. He really knows how to use the right "pictures" instead of dragging or excessively repeating it to drag the manga longer, something like Kishimoto does nowadays! Not trying to bash Kishimoto but really, their contrast between the pace of their mangas are obvious.

[b]Well, according to Kokoro (the sea-train pilot/mermaid), Gol D. Roget was an "idiot" just like Luffy! VERY very interesting! Youknow, I would LOVE to see what Sengoku is capable of, being the highest authority in the Marine Division!

I like the way you're saying it *cookies*

[b]Thanks!! *blushes*

[b]According to Shanks, Blackbeard may be the bigger threat, even to overthrow Whitebeards postion. Given the fact that WhiteBeard is quite the "injured" fellow, probably done by Gol D. Roger, he may not be as powerful as he once was. Considering there are 4 at his level! Anyways, I like the idea of a Luffy vs. Shanks match. It's going to be SPECTACULAR!

[b]Shanks is a pretty nice guy for a pirate. I'm sure his very very well known, as his status as one of the 4 Emperor's of the sea, despite all that, the towns people where Luffy lives felt really comfortable by their presence!! Anyways, I'd bet Shanks is surprised Luffy is gaining reputation so "quickly"! I'd bet there's never been a crew in the world that could gain that much "notoriety" in a short peroid of time!

Well nice comments again. The other part I did not write here because you said what I'm going to say.

[b]Indeed we have. I just don't know how Shanks is able to keep "growing" while buggy doesn't? It's amazing that we get to see the side of Shanks which reveals his true nature.

Like I said to someone on MSN yesterday (maybe Khal >.> I recently had short term memory lost >.<), Buggy is nothing more than a comic relief to me. Although if he can use his powers properly, instead of easily *amused* by others, he would be at least good. Yes, be at least good. Because the current him right now, I bet even Usopp would be laughing at him :grin

Hello your (maybe number one) fan back!
Comments time:
1 White Beard weapon look like that of Guan Yu in the three kingdoms era (chinese thing- Dynasty warrior- if you dunno just wikipedia it)
edit- I check and it seem that I am correct

2 I thought of the same thing, is Mihawk realy the number one sword man? (tieing to the one handed shanks, and same with White Beard, maybe Shank super strong because he lost one arm)

3 I have never underestimated Black Beard, I knew he is strong since he making White Beard as his enemy. and now even Shank

4 Upcourse Shank know Ace since he stayed at Luffy village for a while (and Ace left that village like about 8 yrs after Shank left)

5 I came up a crazy theory about Shank's missing left arm, maybe Luffy ate it

6 GOOOOSHHHHH why do they have to change that freaking design, for the people of WW2 is the current dying generation anyway. If people don't respect that sign as religious symbol of good luck, (I hate Hitler, he offended the Asian race for using that symbol for evil, he so unoriginal copy the sign and then rotate it into a diamond instead of a square, what a bastard, hope he enjoy hell)

Anyway, i am over it, hope this change at least satisfy somebody, I guess Edo's manga fan are also diverse, germans, jewish, and old WW2 veterans or somethings, but it good that people still remember and frustrated about anything having to do with the holocaust

7 and on the KI thing, to my knowledge (of chinese fiction kungfu movie), KI is inner force have to do with year of training, which can transfer into one another, you can use it to heal inner injury or hurt someone. Usually the strong guys is unharmed from other exterior attack if they had high KI, and their KI can took form as an element (wind fire ice, the only three i see so far in movie) in attack and inflict physical damage.

8 I dun think Ace gonna win, but I don't think he gonna die since this is one piece

9 Why you have to do the spoiler thing is it to save space?

10 The guy at the moon look like a giant mole, we see a couple of them in the one piece world, maybe Oda gonna introduced rabbits of the moon (Some asian myth)

11 THANK YOU so much for continuing your comments

12 I predict we will see Buggy again soon, this time he is an ally of Luffy

ONCE AGAIN thanx and I just realize I didn't read your last week comment, I am so sorry (I sorry because I want people to do the One Piece 10 comments, and when they did, I forgot to read them, shame on me) , busy with school, homework, and part time job, and reading manga

In the future I read all of the One Piece comments from anybody.

[b]I think Buggy plays a bigger role in the manga sooner or later, or else Oda wouldn't have placed him in relation with Shanks. But I agree for the rest of your post, Sogeking would own him!

[b]The thing is, Gold Roger is no "main" character. Bascially the whole of One Piece just revolves around his name. I was thinking along the way that he's has a similar attitude as that of Whitebeard. Oh well... let's just hope there is a flashback about him!

I planned it to start next week beginning with chapter 252. But still in planning stage. But it still would be nice to do it ^_^

[b]I'll be supporting!

[b]Feel free to be my Number. 1 fan! Anyways, thanks for posting that information. Quite a weird weapon for a pirate!!

2 I thought of the same thing, is Mihawk realy the number one sword man? (tieing to the one handed shanks, and same with White Beard, maybe Shank super strong because he lost one arm)

[b]The thing is, I wonder what Shanks was like with TWO ARMS?

3 I have never underestimated Black Beard, I knew he is strong since he making White Beard as his enemy. and now even Shank

[b]Me neither, but I'd never expected him to be in "that" level. I assumed he was weaker than Ace, being a subordinate in his division. Oda surprsised us again by revealing Blackbeard's true face!

4 Upcourse Shank know Ace since he stayed at Luffy village for a while (and Ace left that village like about 8 yrs after Shank left)

[b]Hmmm... I never said he didn't know Ace. But I did say that Shanks have a "similar" bond to Luffy although not as strong.

5 I came up a crazy theory about Shank's missing left arm, maybe Luffy ate it

[b]LoL!

[b]Well what's done is done. Anyways, this really won't affect the manga, if you have PS, you can just replace the symbol at the back if you don't like it! :smile-big

[b]KI doesn't just exist in movies, they believed to be a part of their life. But not the elemental ones like you mentioned!

8 I dun think Ace gonna win, but I don't think he gonna die since this is one piece

[b]You may be right, I haven't heard of a "death" in One Piece except for Gol D. Roger.

9 Why you have to do the spoiler thing is it to save space?

[b]If it's inconvienient for you, I'll remove them next time!

10 The guy at the moon look like a giant mole, we see a couple of them in the one piece world, maybe Oda gonna introduced rabbits of the moon (Some asian myth)

[b]Well, that's an interesting concept. Mole on the moon!! You may be right.

[b]NO problem, I'll continue my comments for as long there is support! Although I may not agree with the Ally part, my links for the last 2 comments is in my signature, feel free to comment on them too!!!

Maybe....I mean, Buggy hates Shanks, but seems to have given up trying to get revenge for an unknown reason.....maybe its because Shanks really is more powerful than Buggy--who ate the BaraBara Fruit, if you recall.....so perhaps Buggy might call some form of a truce between Luffy and the Straw Hats and himself and his rowdy crew.
Also, this would add onto Luffy's very long list of "unofficial" allies/friends; how many does he have by now? I can name several, but I feel like there might be more than I can come up with (see below)

Coby
Helmeppo (only through Coby)
Town that was under Morgan's control
Town where Luffy first met Buggy
Syrup Village (Kaya, Usopp Pirates, Merry)
Baratie (Zeff, Patty, Carne)
Cocoyashi Village (Genzo, Nojiko, etc.)
Yosaku and Johnny
Broggy and Dorry
Kingdom of Drum (Kureha, Dalton)
Kingdom of Alabasta (Vivi, Cobra, Pell, Chaka, Igaram, Kohza)
Saruyama Alliance
Skypeia/Shandia
Water 7
Galley-La Company

On Topic: Well, lets hope Oda-sensei doesn't take a nod from Kishimoto and kill off Ace....he'd have legions of fans wanting him dead....

Yeah....I...just.....don't know why.......I remember them >__>
Did I really name all of them? I know I left off people like Apis, Zenny, and a handful of others that only appeared in either the movies or the anime fillers.....
Wait....I did leave off some others....Shanks and his crew, Ace, and Bon Clay....lol

Replies to White Silver:
-U dun have to remove the spoiler things, like you said, save me the trouble of scrolling.

-There are peole that die in One Piece (not counting flash back) (the mountain bandit in the beggining, Merry go =(, the bounties hunter of Cactus (this maybe the wrong name) Island, and all the sad creatures that Luffy ate, plus Gin (probably already dead) those pirate who Crocodile killed, and I think there are others beside the ones I mention)

-Luffy have not yet officially defeat Buggy on one on one battle. Buggy was so distract by Nami stealing his treasures that why he got hit in the balls, and Nami steal his limbs, so he lost. But Buggy have not yet showed all his tricks.

-About Black Beard, I knew he had great ambition in the beginning, and I knew he should be somewhat of a smart guy, so therefore I conclude, if he smart and he made White Beard his enemy, he must also be very strong.

-Oh yeah about the KI thing, those came from Kim Dung's chinese kungfu fiction novel (adopt into movie) (which was much older than all of the manga)

-I going to read Chopper's comments next plus your other comments I haven't read

That's it for now.

[b]You're right, how could I forgot about that. But, excluding the poor Sea Kings and creatures that is united in the One Tummy! The Bandits and the poor souls in the war against Alabasta. Oh yes, Nami's Mom! *Tragic and horrible* *Die Arlong*. Not to mention Dr. Hilluk *another sad story*.

[b]Indeed, but in this current situation, Buggy is hopeless against the Mugiwara Pirates!

[b]True, but I thought it was the "tactical" type of challenge. For Blackbeard to reach the "top", that's an entirely different matter. He may prove himself as the "next strongest man in the world". And Luffy is gonna BEAT his ass!

Top of the page.....you labeled this as Chapter 433....just a heads-up....lol

As for Blackbeard being Crocodile's replacement....that would break from the tradition of the Shikibukai....

Look at the names of the Shikibukai we have met so far: Sir Crocodile, Bartholomew Bear, Donquixote Dolflamingo, Dracule Mihawk; all have the names of animals in their name. Jinbei is an exception as he is a Merman to begin with, unless his last name includes the name of an animal....

[b]Well, if I remember correctly, one of Blackbeard's Nakama nominated Blackbeard for the replacement, seeing how things turned out, maybe he's already accepted, and secondly Blackbeard may be his nickname only. We have not heard of his name yet! Maybe it's Teach DeBear or something!

[b]Yes, Jinbei means Whale Shark. All you have to do is search images in Google and type Jinbei, a picture of a Whale Shark will appear.

Hoi Hoi but we already have a bear! :darn

As for Shanks level compared to Mihawk, I can't seem to find the page where they meet, I have the anime, but from what it says it seems like Shanks is actually stronger than the swordsman. But then some people are saying Mihawk is stronger. I don't know what to believe!

[b]You know, Shanks maybe stronger than Mihawk (without the sword skills). But then it's very very confusing, what does Shanks use to fight?? Is he barehanded or does he really use a Sword, and if Mihawk can't defeat him, why is he considered the Best Swordsman in the World??

Eeerr... best guess. Shanks is not a swordman? But he uses sword. But that doesn't necessarily means he's a swordman. But perhaps, Mihawk is stronger than Shanks. We don't have any reference at all on who'll win when they fight.

[b]I think when you are skilled with a sword, you can be qualified as a swordsman. But there wasn't any reference on who won who, just "muliple" fights. Maybe they were just testing each other's skills? But the way Whitebeard talks about the past, the both of them seemed like former Nakama. Hmmmm.....

Shank and Mihawk, I can't tell who stronger but Mihawk is the better swordman. Shank still have his secret weapon, the STARE OF DEATH (1st chapter, where the sea king retreat just after Shank's one stare). PS Black Beard look like a hippo more than a bear.

Blackbeard's full name is Marshall D. Teach.
Unless the "D" in his name stands for a name of an animal, it is unlikely that Blackbeard will make it into the Shikibukai....and then there is his crew, he doesn't seem to be the type--to me, at least--that would abandon them.....even if its for Crocodile's former spot as a Shikibukai.

So, we will have to see what happens....

G. The "tri-scar" mystery:

I was wondering where did shanks get that scar from, and when I knew that Buggy was one of his friend, I thought Buggy did that. But after all, it turn out to be Teach.

H. BLACKBEARD????:

Yeah, I've never imagine Teach is that power either. After we saw how powerful Shanks is, and he said that he was not careless. This revelation makes me think that Ace might lose to Teach, if they encounter.

I wonder why Hawk-eye is considered the best if he can't take down another swordsman? Looks like we'll expecting some MAJOR action between Zoro and Hawk-eye after witnessing this scene!

IMO Mihawk might gain the title after Shanks lost his arm, assume that Shanks can fight on par with Mihawk back then. After he lost his arm (he was not comfortable and balance when he lost his arm) he gave up his title or lost to Mihawk or something. Then 10 years later he might get stronger and can fight on par with White Beard again, but he did not get his title back cuz he doesn't fight with Mihawk anymore.

K. Latest News Report:

Really a good news!!! Straw Hat crew will be famous, and we wont see anything like what happened in Jaya again, everyone look down on Luffy and crew, and their dreams.

About the upcomming fight of Ace VS BB, I dont think Ace will die, even if he lose, cuz it is One Piece. :smile-big

Another great revelation chapter!!!! This chapter really deserve 5 stars.

[b]Hmmm..... but considering the situation, Mihawk had the "strongest" sword. Surely an advantage when fighting Shanks, but if Shanks is able to equal him in that time, then Shanks should considered to be the better swordsman.

Yeah, I thought that he slash Shanks' face with his knives somehow (cuz I dont see any opponents who can slash him with tri-scar). That was around volume 10+ or something, when I come up with the idea. But after seeing Shanks' crew with rookies, Rockstar, I thought "no way".

Who knows, he might not have the sword that time, or Shanks might gave up his title. I hope Oda sensei will reveal who is stronger.
