A bit too long on flashbacks about Naruto but as expected. The part with Konoha underattack is nicely done with the music, but I hoped to see more fight from the rookies, it seems that the next episode will be focused on Kakashi's fight.

I like a lot this episode. The animation it's not perfect, but very good anyway. It's a bit different, it don't like the prev episode did by Eum-Ik Hyun. It's weird but cool :P

The preview looks normal. Normal animation, only the last scene is "special".

The animation in this episode annoys me. It's like...over-exaggerated movement...and the actual movement is hard to describe, but I'm not that fond of it. But, on the bright side, it is better than how the show usually is. To be specific, I mean when Shikamaru used his jutsu against that giant centipede. The rest of the episode was....typical.

Also, one thing I noticed is that this animation usually comes before the REALLY good stuff. It happened with the SasuBee* fight, and I'm sure in other places.

Oh god.... the music was awesomely epic!!! They reused Jiraiya's death theme and it was excellent. It is by far the most epic BGM Shippuden has!!!. (Pain's theme is second best) The preview doesn't look bad. The Sarutobi filler was also great. I've got a gut feeling it's foreshadowing the manga.

I suppose I can forgive this episode being entirely drawn out of flashbacks with nothing of importance except the Danzo caged part. After all, we get the entire Kakashi fight in the next episode with a few things near the end obviously being left out until the next episode.

I always read and hardly post but I think some of you need to relax a bit. Your critizing episodes because you have a notion of what it should be based on the manga and the way you picture it in your mind. I get that...but come on.

I think the action is good. The music is fitting and yes..ok...Pain's blade looks shitty on the previews..I doubt it will look like that next episode..

I dont mind the fillers in the episodes at least it feeds the manga in some way. They cant do panel by panel you should be smart enough to realize that. If that was the case we would be caught up entirely with the Manga.

this episode was pretty good in my opinion. The animation was nice and the flashbacks were well done, they were re-animated unlike just copy pasting scenes from past episodes.

All in all a good episode in my opinion. The animation was pretty decent, and the music was pretty good too. Only complaints I have was the flashback being a bit too long, and them not including Naruto's training more than they did. It will feel so rushed now, something they could have solved by editing the episodes differently. Pain's blade was epic in this episode too.

Preview looks good. Pain's blade looked like shit, but hopefully it'll be changed when the actual episode comes out.

When Tsunade says "FAITH!", I was expecting an AWESOME image of Naruto working on his training, but what we got instead was a really crappy image of him and some distorted mountains.

I was expecting the you-know-what hype to be wicked awesome, but they totally killed it.

In conclusion, from this episode I can say that the problem may not be the animation itself, or the music, or the colors. It's just that they end up failing on the most important scenes, as if they can't imagine us fans and what are we expecting from a certain part of our favorite manga. It's sad, somehow.

Art looked fine to as well, I actually like the way Pain was drawn when he raised his arm. The explosion also looked pretty good, better than what we've been seeing so far

It wasnt bad it was a okay episode , i kinda liked the filler scenes a little. The animation wasnt too consistent one scene would like it was drawn right out of the manga while the next would be totally sloppy in comparison (Danzo Scene and Start of Kakashi vs Pain) but other inconsistency it was at an improvement over the last episode.

What i truly didnt like was the Tsunade scene, i felt the music wasnt in harmony with the emotions going around with that (This is one of Tsunade Moments )i was kinda disappointed by it (most the soundtracks they used in this episode felt out of place and random.

It's so funny, some posters believe that just because an episode has an opera/dramatic sound track coinciding with tense moments it makes the episode good. This arc has been shit thus far, I am really worrying that the animators mess up what is the best arc thus far.

This was pretty decent, I like that they're expanding on some things or give some rookies a bit more screentime. Shikamaru's entrance was pretty neat for instance. Usually filler fights are absolutely horrible though so I'm not holding my breath for actual fights of the rookies.

Nice usage of music this time, much much better than previous episode, I got into it way more :) Animation was ok I guess, I'm never bothered by it that much.

And preview looks pretty good! Apart from Pain's rod being a spike (...) I'm really looking forward to his fight with Kakashi. Shinra Tensei looked pretty badass :tem

This episode was good. Nothing more nothing less. I liked the hospital scenes and the fact that they succeeded create a feeling that Konoha guys are no pussies and don't fuck their comrades in the ass. Today's episode really has a meaning. Doesn't happen every week.

So I guess they're going to keep the Sage pigmentation around Naruto's eyes as orange since we saw it yet again in this episode being orange so it wasn't just a one-time thing. I guess I'm fine with it as I've gotten so accustomed to it already, and it might end up suiting Naruto better in the future. Who knows maybe even Kishi asked them to make it orange since he has something matching planned for the future (wishful thinking). I still liked the red though. I'm still a little confused about it as I'm confident it looks red in the opening, so why have it red in the opening and orange in the actual episodes? Besides Naruto is supposed to have mastered Sage Mode fully now, so him not having mastered Sage Mode 100% and therefore having orange instead of red pigmentation makes no sense either.

It's not only that. Jiraya's ones were red too. So I don't see any reason, besides the mangaka wish, to make it orange. Let's just hope it's orange because of the weird color atmosphere of the land of toads.

What's so funny is all the people who don't understand what "animation" actually means. There's nothing wrong with the animation. Some of the jutsu designs and Pain's chakra spears look weird, but that has nothing to do with animation, just the art style. And the fact that you think this is the best arc thus far tells me all I need to know about your opinion.

I was very pleased on how this episode turned out. We got some extra Shikamaru kicking ass moments while protecting Kurenai \o/. Sakura punched a centipede last week, I wonder if there's anymore of them for random characters to get the spotlight. xD Tsunade gave the elders a piece of her mind, even I would pee myself if I was in their shoes. Perfect cliffhanger for next week, I'm looking forward to some Kakashi action.

I really enjoyed the episode. I loved the flashback with all the little kids. We even saw little Sasuke.

Tsunade was awesome. She is such an underrated character. Great to see her shine and whip those stupid elders. And Kakashi making his heroic entrance. I love that man.

There was plenty of canon. If you read the manga you know Kishimoto leaves places where the anime can fill in things. This arc has tons of places for filler. I'd rather that than stupid filler arc.

It totally looked like that. It was like the most romantic scene in Shippuden in a long time. He was acting all awesome and heroic and she had these big red puppy dog eyes while looking at him. And then that smile. Like she was in love. "That's my new man since the old one is 6 feet under." Shika x Kurenai :amuse If that was Temari, fans would be like OMG it's canon! I am so confused because it was cute as hell, but Kurenai is like 29. Is a 13 year difference that bad?

I noticed that too. So many scenes and a lot of the art just looked lazy, or perhaps rushed. I hope it doesn't continue for long, but of course that's just wishful thinking.
