The spring 2010 anime season is ending and the summer season is just around the corner. But before saying good-bye http://www.messentools.com/images/emoticones/onionhead/www.MessenTools.com-Anime-Bye.gif to the spring 2010 anime season I would like to ask you, what was your favorite anime series of said season? What anime do you think was the best in the spring 2010 anime season?

Here are the nominees (the nominees are series that have a thread here in the Otaku Theater (http://mangahelpers.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=279)):

the Tatami Galaxy (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=11200) and House of Five Leaves (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=11176) have been very good. Sadly the subs have been garbage and I have to wait to watch more episodes. Arakawa and Maid-Sama have also been entertaining. I would not call any of this seasons classics but there have been a number of entertaining series.

My favorite anime of this spring season and the series I think it’s the best is Giant Killing. I have enjoyed every single one of the episodes of this series. http://freecutemsn.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/bella-monkey-girl-emoticons-yee.gif Watching GK has made me feel so many emotions; I have been happy, excited, sad, frustrated, anxious, ecstatic…it has been so much fun watching this anime. :) I also like the fact that the series focuses on themes like conquering your weaknesses and fears and finding your inner strength (or giant killing power ;) ). In addition, we get to see football for different perspectives not just from the players, but also from the coaches, the sport reporters, the fans, and the management.

Honorable Mention:

B Gata H Kei : That anime made rofl so many times. :XD It was also a nice surprise because I would have never thought that anime about what B Gata H Kei was could be adorable, sweet and sometimes even innocent.

Arakawa Under the Bridge : Very entertaining anime with just the right mix of hilariousness, craziness and deepness.

Alphabetical order, I see Destiny is an organized person, me likes what I see. :hurr

1st place and my vote goes to Arakawa Under the Bridge. Superb comedy and stylish animation made it very enjoyable for me to watch for the past 2 months. Such an out of this world characters living in harmony and here comes a guy who relies on himself but learns there's more to life. I await the final episode and season 2.

2nd place goes to Giant Killing. Thanks to this anime I have been enjoying the World Cup than I thought. It extends the manga by giving an action packed sport while have a nice underling story with the characters. I will continue to watch over the summer.

3rd place goes to Mayoi Neko Overrun! No thread for this but thanks to Wowzers I was introduced to this funny series. My favorite episode is where they all play Jenga with crazy penalties on the blocks. I laughed so much I shed a few tears of joy. I will now check out the manga. :3

Would vote for Uraboku if it is in the list...since Durarara!! isn't a spring anime (meh, it ends in spring...but why would that even make it count as a spring anime rather than winter anime as it should've been, since the season counts when the series begin, not the end anyway...:S)

AKA, won't vote. If you want the spring anime, then I would vote for "Others" and the one that is getting my vote will be Uraboku...-_-"

The reason why I included Durarara is because we didn’t have a “what is the best anime of the Winter Anime Season?” thread and it seemed a bit unfair to me to leave Durarara out of the list considering it has been a popular anime. But after reading the posts in this thread I’ve realized some more names need to be added to the list as well as an “others” option. I’ll work on adding the new options for the poll to the list. :)

Meh...lots of animes actually ended during the spring season. FMA is so close to becoming one as well, if it doesn't enter Summer first. *shrug*

So I personally find it even more unfair for all the other animes that ended during spring season if you only put in Durarara!! just for that sake, though my list isn't all that long. After all, my list just shrunk from the list of 8 animes to 3 within this spring season (1 of the five that ended was also a Winter season anime, like Durarara!! as well...). I might like Durarara!! as much, or even more, than I like Uraboku, but still...-___-"

*vote for Uraboku*
