On the side notes, if the rings are gone Xanxus will be happy. After the business with Shimon is over he can launch another coup to take control of Vongala.

If the Vongola Rings break, then how are Tsuna and co. going to fight back Shimon? I wouldn't be surprised that for the whole nine generations, the Vongola Rings didn't break because the Shimon rings were sealed, and since the Shimon rings are unsealed, the Vongola rings break. How much of a theory I think up of? ._.

He said that he "doesn't care about [Chrome's] background" although he could by lying for all we know. :/ Personally my hope is for the latter theory. So far he's been shown as Julie the Stalker. It will bring him to a different light if he was sympathetic towards Nagi.

I thing in the next few chapters. Kawahira will tell who he is and what is his purpose to the vongola. I thing the kawahira family during primo time is the one who made the vongola rings for primo. I thing that tsuna and is nakama would be able to get the same rings back. If it is desrtoyed in Chapter 298 by the Simone Family.

I think that Vongola primo went the same path as tsuna. I think that the first generation simon primo had a misunderstanding with the vongola primo. Therefore S Primo maybe destroyed V Primo and the others rings. As they said in the previos chapter when tsuna is fighting with Byukarun. He said he been through this before. Which means that V primo been through this. Maybe the V rings might be destroyed in chapter 298.

Don't know whether these are fake or not, and I don't know what to hope for. XDDD If it's true, then it's BRILLIANT and totally unexpected. If it's fake, then we'll see. There's plenty of possibilities for the story to develop... And, I don't understand why some of you say the box weapons will not be usable anymore. I mean, they're DIFFERENT rings from the Vongola Rings. Nuts is a ring separated from the Sky Ring, it's not like in Future Arc when the Sky V.Ring was needed to open the box...

Ah, I actually love all of you saying "che, it's so predictable". I think Amano Sensei made this series incredibly UNPREDICTABLE, and the very proof of it is the total mindfuck caused by the latest 10 chapters or so. XD If it were predictable, we wouldn't have discussed so much for every chapter. This Simon Arc is something awesome. Amano really should go on with what's in her mind, I'm confident she will cover every plot hole in the very last arc, but until then I'll wait and have faith in her. Am I too forgiving?

One thing that bugs me: Yamamoto was taken out, Chrome-if the spoilers are true-is being kidnapped (and I DON'T WANT TO SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO JULIE-CHAN when Mukuro suddenly will appear and kufufu his a**). What if this arc sees Tsuna alone in the end, without his own guardians? They'd come back in the end, but... what if? I know it's unlikely, but it would give Tsuna the spotlight for some serious character development and angst (god knows how much I crave for BOTH).

Reading a bit further from that page, I wonder if maybe 'break' was a mis-transliteration? Maybe it means that the rings split again. May be wrong but I'm willing to bet on that before the actual destruction of the Vongola Rings.

The rings breaking is an awful thought, what would it prove? Making new rings couldnt happen because creating rings of that shouldnt be possible. If anyone could have made new rings, then wouldnt the TYL Vongola family done that?. the Fake Mare rings were A-Rank, but those were already considered very rare.

Kawahira wouldnt make any sense either, besides the fact that he is maybe a teenager Tsuna's age right now, what would he do?? All his powers came from his Hell Ring. He cant be from some powerful organization because if he was, wouldnt Byakuran have known about him? If he was significant in ANY future he would have and since the RFW

Character development aka getting an even greater powerup

What I'm hoping is that the rings aren't "broken," but rather "sealed" in a manner similar to how the Shimon rings were before having Sin poured onto them. This way, instead of "training" even further, Tsuna and Co. journey to find some of Primo's blood as opposed to finding some sort of Hyperbolic Time Chamber type of device to power them up.

Tsuna and his guardians are already pretty unbalenced compared to the rest of the mafia in their time (considering they have the future weapons and stuff). We had enough of training as well. I also don't like the a idea of the enemies having such an absurd superior power. Those rings are new, we haven't seen their full power yet.
I think the current build up is enough. The ones needing development are the Shimon, so let's get to fights already.

Well, sooner or later Amano will explain something more about Kawahira. And I really hope he and all the TYL characters will appear some way, even in their kawaii 14-years-old shape. What I secretly wish for is some Spanner & Shoichi. Cute kid engineers at work for Famiglia Vongola. >.<

About Nana, it's just a narrative device... Tsuna told his mom about the transferees, I think we all would do that in real life... and Amano 'uses' her to tell readers about that while Tsuna is too busy stuffing his breakfast in his mouth. XD

Tsuna and his guardians are already pretty unbalenced compared to the rest of the mafia in their time (considering they have the future weapons and stuff). We had enough of training as well. I also don't like the a idea of the enemies having such an absurd superior power. Those rings are new, we haven't seen their full power yet.
I think the current build up is enough. The ones needing development are the Shimon, so let's get to fights already.

Vongola was formed by Primo as some sort of vigilante group in order to protect the town and his friends and most important people.

Then we get the thing about the vongola rings, that they along with the mare and pacifiers were the things that maintained the order of the world.

then we get to know that shimon and vongola were allies long before the time of primo.

Unless Vongola already existed and Primo gained control of it later, changed some politics and then became the first head of the new vongola.

Actually, the time is still the same. They haven't changed to a different parallel world, it's still the same time line, so whatever happens until the future, still happens. Byakuran will still exist, but he will have his power sealed and the Mare rings are sealed also. So there is no Byakuran threat. But this doesn't mean that there isn't another threat. Yamamoto said on the future: another battle was coming.

The only thing that has probably changed is the year said battle happened.

It could've been 5 years before or something. We also don't know when Tsuna decided to break the VR.

I like it I like this theory alot ^_^. I think the Future Tsuna and Co were still using them during this battle; but during that time it was still probably normal Vongola and not the Original ones. Also during that time there were no Box Weapon or Animal yet so basically they were fight normally or were they? I think they were using Rings and Flames and no boxes; we still never found out how Present Dino know flames and Vongola Ring will be key power in future battles?

Or, he was given the vongola rings sometime when he formed the vigilante group and then decided to create a family with the name of vongola, because as we see, Mare Rings belong to Gigglio Nero. So they were probably given the rings later after being formed.

Actually, the time is still the same. They haven't changed to a different parallel world, it's still the same time line, so whatever happens until the future, still happens. Byakuran will still exist, but he will have his power sealed and the Mare rings are sealed also. So there is no Byakuran threat. But this doesn't mean that there isn't another threat. Yamamoto said on the future: another battle was coming.

The only thing that has probably changed is the year said battle happened.

It could've been 5 years before or something. We also don't know when Tsuna decided to break the VR.

Hopefully this will all be explained by Amano-sensei :D

but here's the thing the ceremony is only happening now because the ninth saw the events in the future and the shimon only have the rings because the earthquake tsuna and co. caused when they returned. so none these things could of happened before. and the timeline has been changed just by going to the future and receiving the new rings and weapons.

This is the thing about time travels that irritates me, not technically the time travel in itself, but the fact that no one explains what happened during those 9 years and 10 months.

We don't know when Tsuna became boss, why he became boss and what happened on his first years as boss.

Somethings could've happened that made the shimon appear on the same time line but maybe it didn't make them appear when they were 15 years old, maybe when they were twenty. We also don't know when Tsuna decided to destroy the rings. We know he destroyed it because of another battle that was looming near, but no dates were given.

Assuming from info we have, ninth are unaccounted for in the fallen of Vongola HQ at the beginning of future arc and Varia declared them self as assassination squad under ninth and didn't acknowledge Vongola tenth (despite helping them anyway) I think in the former timeline Tsuna didn't become full fledge boss yet or maybe years after rings conflict since ninth decide the crown Tsuna due to Tsuna's performance and behaviors during future arc without that I think ninth will give tenth families times to gain more experiences.

1. The 9th is confirmed dead as of Tsuna's resolve trial, only dead bosses appear in this trial.

2. Being returned to the past via way of the two-point Arcobaleno existence (read the chapter where the various Ring's time/space associations are explained) only ensured that Byakuran would be destroyed across all parallel worlds and institute a past without any threat of him existing.

3. Being returned to the past, causing the earthquakes, unveiled the Earth rings. This is a new threat incapable of being "avoided" when Decimo's group is returned to the past as it was generated BECAUSE of the return to the past.

The Reborn world has a way of balancing itself out. Under all circumstances that something is more powerful, events occur to level the playing field.

As a result, even if the rings *did* break, it would hardly matter in the long run as the balancing would occur.

Personally, I feel that Tsuna never would've accepted the sin to begin with (and he certainly won't now) as it represents all of the evil deeds the Vongola performed and the losses created from it... this is exactly the same legacy he denounced in the face of Primo, which his conviction/resolve was so strong while doing so, he was accepted as the future boss on the grounds that he could destroy the Vongola or continue it as he saw fit.

This (the loss of sin and possibly, the VRs) will likely be the vehicle used to enter a completely new era of Vongola as all the past traditions are being destroyed out of circumstance, giving way to Tsuna accepting his destiny (or continuing to be guided/somewhat forced by it) with a clear conscience.

Regardless of the circumstances used, the arrival of the Earth Rings are a good thing and likely a balancing act themselves. Since the Mare of 7(3) have been sealed, the balance is upset as 1 of the 3 is unobtainable, perhaps this is why the Earth rings now exist, to take the Mare's place.

To unseal a ring with blood, leads me to believe that blood was a part of the forging of that ring. The rings react to a specific wavelength, but what if the reaction is made through forging.

Vongola
If they are the other side of the coin from Shimon, than i believe the rings were forged through the will to protect. If the two parts of the body are blood and will. I wanted to say body, but since they were unshackled purely by Giotto's will, I think they were created with will.

Arcobaleno
Uni activated the dead pacifiers with her soul. Their souls or mortal beings were used in the forging of the pacifiers. She could hide her soul in another plane of existence at will.

Mare
The Mare rings were given to augmented humans. The knowledge Byakuran used to create his guardians and share his selves is evident. This leads me to believe that the mind was used in forging the rings. The Mare ring itself helped to awaken Byakaran's ability.

I only say all this, because i believe that the given rings are going to be reforged by the individual guardians. They will become their own.

Ah I dunno, I feel like training will probably be a lot quicker then the future arc's had been. (However that all depends on HOW they're planning to train) And I'm sure Dino and the Varia were attempting to help but Adelheid easily prevented them from doing so with those spikes/icicles/whatever. Not to mention everything happened so fast and was unexpected. If any of the others attempted to help I'm sure one of the Shimon guardians would quickly prevent them, as Adelheid had with the Varia/Dino.

As to why Reborn did not do anything, I'm not sure.

Either way, I find this exciting. Can't wait for the next chapter!

I knew the vongola would get owned but this was just wow, only enma fought and even broke their rings so easily. Byakuran seems like a joke compared to these guys.
As for enma being only on 1/7 part of his power, I think that's a bit too much seriously unless they plan to make this DBZ.

The ninth and the others didn't interfere because tsuna and his guardians were pretty much the strongest fighters and they got beaten up badly in a matter of seconds by enma alone, for the others it would have been just suicide to fight.
The only one strong enough to have interfered would be reborn, but he never interfered with tsunas battles, I belive he will reveal the reason for that at some point.

Anyway can't what the vongola will do since this is the first time they got pwned without even getting the chance to struggle.

Its a writing technique to give us the illusion that the Shimons are strong, which is why only Enma fought them and the Vongola did not use the new Vongola Rings. Don't get me wrong i'm pretty sure that after 7 days the Shimon will be able to rival the Vongola full power and perhaps even defeat them. I prefer this over Shimon beating Vongola at full power cause it would raise some questions like the Shimon were inexperienced how were they able to blah blah blah etc.

I'm pretty sure that now not all the Shimon guardians are able to beat all of the Vongola guardians. I'm sure the Shimon will test out their abilities during the 7 days.

I think that Vongola primo went the same path as tsuna. I think that the first generation simon primo had a misunderstanding with the vongola primo. Which means that V primo been through this. Maybe the V rings might be destroyed in chapter 298.

I am Some what happy that thing went down like this, because Tsuna had it easy, always wanting to run away, never thinking about what might happen to his friends until its too late as always. As for the Shimon Family they screw up big time like all villains do. they had a chance to finish them off and they got cocky over their power. and because of their actions they have ruin any chance at reviving The Shimon name. Wow...Great chapter but feel bad for the gaurdians! Theres some seriouse payback in the works and if the Shimon family doesn't get some seriouse BUTT whooping Ill be one angry fan. I dont think Tsuna will forgive them but he wont kill them. Thats just not the way he is but you never know this whole thing might push him over the edge for a bit until he can spare the Shimons family life. I still want to know the REAL truth behind the Shimon and Vongola past.

I have fully accepted the Shimon Rings and Earth flames as integral parts of the series even though they are just a really stupid way to give new villains powers. Im fully ok that they look ridiculous with the rings released and the magical energy spirals they make. im even ok with the fact that the Shimon family are showing 1/7 of their power and become even more ridiculously powerful later. However, this is plain old STUPID. There are two focal points of stupid for myself.

Breaking the rings shows such disrespect to the reader's intelligence i am personally insulted Amano did that. Go back and read Primo's speech about the rings at the Byakuran and Tsuna fight. These werent just some made of metal and stones, NO they were tools that unified and showed power among the Vongola. And they broke. Not even with some osmness like the rings couldnt handle the FV so they broke. NOPE. Enma kinda threw the guardians around and they broke. i dont even care if there is an explanation on why they broke so easily like "oh the rings were designed not to fight the Shimon rings and they broke as self defense". i frankly dont care. you dont do that to your fans. you dont set something up as possible the most important thing in the series, the thing that allowed the hero to win in the last arc, just break so easily in battle.

The second thing is the power level. my god this is dumb. the series has ALWAYS been ambiguous about how strong ppl have to get. Thats what makes it so good. You never know how much stronger a character needs to get, that way its not ridiculous when they become super strong because you never really know how much they improved by. Example: The RFW were introduced and all that was known was that they were stronger than the FFW. Meaning that there wasnt a set limit on how much stronger the guardians needed to get, they just needed to get as strong as they could. But now, we can literally put it to a number. Tsuna probably needs to get 3 times stronger to match Enma now and since Enma will get 7 times stronger in 7 days, he must get 7 times stronger on top of his original 3. meaning Tsuna must get 21 times stronger. YAY isnt that exciting? You know how strong the Shimon are so there is no suspense or tension in any of these fights, you know when they meet up again, the Vongola are going to be relatively as strong as the Shimon, and you know that when the Vongola and Shimon fight, it will be 100% based on their flame types rather than any real abilities and skills they have.

All I can frankly look forward to is that the training and the restoration of the rings which will hopefully be interesting like most of the training in the series. The battle with Shimon and the true back story all seem quite boring now.

this is crazy how can they be so weak when they beat Byakuran which was supposed to be the strongest i think im a little mad at tsuna and the guardians at how they got beat so easily

Because its somewhat telling us that Vongola can power up within a number of days and defeat that strong enemy.

Take Varia for example, assasination squad VS schoolkids. Obviously the schoolkids would lose, but then in 10days, there were able to power up and somehow defeat them and get the prize-->VRs

Then Byakuran, someone in the future who knows every move they can do vs 14 year old kids, a 13 year old girl and a 5year old kid. They showed us what the "fake" funeral wraths can do and it amazed us especially the fight between Goku vs Gamma. Then the RFW came and Choice came afterwards. The power of the RFW was shown a bit and told us how powerful they are in Choice (and the opening of the hell hole)..even Byaku was able to counter illusion Mukuro's illusion...after that its Ghost VS Tsuna's group then Byaku VS Tsuna etc etc you guys know the rest

So basically, it's like in a few days, the Vongola can power up and show their enemies and friends that they can defeat them with their will to protect others. So this time, Shimons are showing us that they are super strong (1/7 power was shown) so that's a huge huge gap from 100% Remember in Byaku's fight, only 80% was shown from Byaku and 20% was showed by Tsuna.

Ah...cant wait for the next chapter~

Anyone noticed that the ring broke into fragment? Um I mean, they're not totally broken into pieces. Tsuna's broke into half, and so does one of the four rings. Can't see very well for the other 3. My guess is if they use the ring, it'll be only the portion of what's left. For Tsuna he has to make do for half of the power of the ring. And since the gems didn't shatter into very tiny pieces, it's still possible to get it repaired. Just attach the gems back into its place, no?

Wrong, there is still Lambo's too Burr!. I don't really like him but he is still has his ring and is currently the only vongola member to not have his ass handed to him on a hot plate Burr!.

I am not suprised that vongola got they ass whooped, I'm suprised that Hibari got his ass whooped Burr!. We have never seen hibari go down without a fight unless he has a big dissadvantage Burr!. Ofcourse they havent used there vongola boxes which is the reason they were able to win in the Future arc but it probably would have just made it a somewhat even battle Burr!.

Another question I have is how strong the Arclebano(or how ever u spell that) r. Because out of all of them, Reborn is the strongest Burr!. And we saw a bit of his power when he shot at Byakuran Burr!. If Shimon had went at The 9th he probably would have stepped in, my question is if he would dominate them Burr!? I still think that he is the strongest character in the series Burr!.

I'm taking a weird guess. Enma obtained the Simon Rings' power, and now he declares Famiglia Simon will take over Mafia. What if Simon become something VERY similar to what Millefiore was in the future we had been shown? Without parallel dimensions and trinisette things, obviously. After having basically HUMILIATED Vongola in front of many Mafia Families, I guess lots of them will jump ship and go to Simon's side out of fear/ambition.

I'm really curious about the Vongola Rings. Maybe the way they broke is related to the earth flames' wave. Just like a sound wave can break glass. I wonder if they'll be repaired... but I guess they will, as they might be the only way to amplify the seven Sky Flames enough to match Simon's full power. I just wonder how... maybe one of the filler arcs will be kinda canonified? Dunno why but the idea of Seven Trials, with Arcobalenos and/or First Generation Guardians, in order to restore the rings looks kinda ok. BUT we might even have training about countering the earth flames and shimon rings with something else... or we might not have it at all...

This had to be one of the most surprising chapters (IMO). Sure we all knew that Shimon would win the first encounter with the Guardians... but not in this "EXTREME" way.

I don't think there will be an immediate training session after this ass kicking, because in order to train, you have to know what to train and what your training against. Meaning nobody knows the powers of the Earth rings or the fact that they even existed.

So they will have to do some recon on the actual legend/story of the Vongola and Shimon Primos and to find out exactly what went down.

Then there is the issue of Chrome being kidnapped and Yamamoto being seriously wounded. Like Asarii mentioned, Tsuna wouldn't want to go straight into training without trying to help Chrome out.

On the issue of Chrome... I think she will be fine without her ring (surviving wise) cause she had to depend on the ring in the future after Mukuro was thought to be dead but that is not the case in the present time.

I also really don't think the rings breaking are an illusion... just because it would take away from the seriousness of the situation, them EPIC-ally getting beat, having Chrome abducted and of course having a teammate sitting on death's doorstep.

I am sure that there is some way to fix the rings that the 9th will know of... but it will come at some kinda price (another trail from the first generation or something.)

Or maybe them being fixed has to do with 2 of the 7 rings still be intact... Yamamoto's and Lambo's.

The only compliant I have, is in agreement with RAFAT9, Enma should of never stated how powerful he is and then will become. It makes it feel too much like many other fighting Shounens.

Sidenote: I think that this arc is showing the kinda situation and threat, that the Future arc should of shown. Having the whole team get owned at the same time, even Hibari and also having a teammate nearly killed and another abducted.

Maybe they use the power of love or friendship ;), The rings will be reforged into better ones, I guess but at the same time two of the Vongola rings (rain and thunder) are still intact so it also possible they will just restore the rings without upgrades.
It also funny that the guardian haven't used the power-up of their rings, perhaps those power-ups are the key of countering the Earth rings since Enma said that The Shimon family was equal in power with the Vongola. I am looking forward to the next chapters, Amano sure knows how to keep her manga interesting :D

About Chrome, leave that to Mukuro... leave everything to Mukuro. If illusions fails Chrome is totally useless.

-Mukuro released from the Vindiche prison;
-A time travel to the past(some thing connected with the vongola crest);
-Revelations about the simon story from the 1st generation;
-the ring passed till now from each generation are fake, because the true vongola ring was handed from primo to decimo directly;
-return to present after same minutes;
-Rescue Chrome;
-Training and final battle.
