Awesome episode, one of the best there has been. Even the fillers were good. Starrk and his flashback was great too. Shunsui and Starrk have to be the best fight since Byakuya vs. Ichigo.

I mostly enjoyed this episode because of Shunsui. The way he talked put Love and Rose in there place was cool. Next episode Harribel gets a flashback? Kubo should have given her a proper death with flashback and everything in the manga.

Wow..really amazing episode, very touching and full of 'sadness'. The animation also great and i feel like the espada is the good one and the shinigami is the evil one. But the most evil bas#%@* is Aizen....

Good episode. There was some filler inserted, especially with Lilynette (as the wolves) getting killed by Stark whereas they were assumed to have been killed simultaneously. It was understandable seeing as how both characters' deaths were quick in the manga. Harribel also gets the axe from Aizen. Next week we're going to see a *non-canonical* flashback for Harribel, before she meets up with Aizen and referencing the sacrifices her kind went through.
The episode used up material from Chapters 374 and 375, plus filler.

Wow...
One of the best episode ever from Bleach...
I really got Starrk feeling of loneliness...
Starrk and Lilinette are definitely one of the most interesting characters...
Feel sad for Harribel :(

Yeah I actually really liked this episode. Starrk's one of my favorites in Bleach, and the way they covered some of Kubo's plot holes regarding his powers/what happened to them in this episode was good enough.
Was still pretty sad when Lilynette died so suddenly. I guess my only real gripe is that the manga gave the impression that Starrk was daydreaming his flashbacks during the fight, so Shunsui caught him off guard with the coat thing, which I didn't feel here.
Additionally, if Lilynette dies when all the wolves are gone... does that mean she just up and disappeared in the manga? :|
Edit: Oh and lol at Halibel getting a flashback episode.

It was an alright episode. Nothing special about it; same as always. Although this was my favorite Espada fight in the manga (during the FKT storyline, anyway), I feel like the episode kinda dragged it out a little by adding in more talking and what-not. I'll give it a 7/10, because I just didn't like some parts of it.
Also, looks like next episode isn't going to be giving us much of anything canon since it's going to be all about Harribel's past. :notrust
And does anybody know why the season is supposed to end with Ichigo's return, but the ending theme song has Genryusai preparing to fight? If the season does end where I said, then Genryusai won't be fighting until after the fillers. Which doesn't really make much sense.

haven't heard bout fillers before Yama's fight. i think this episode was great, no shunsui glasses, just glad to see some justice done to more interesting characters besides the normal hitsu ichi and co.

10 thts the rating this episode deserved. Stark vs Shunsui... one of the best bleach fights ever. Future chapters and past. Great animation, I loved how he just ended it with the color black... Aizen has his back turned to everyne he just doesnt care, the espada were tools to weaken gotei 13. if the season ends before yama fights ill be pissed. I dont like watchin the stupid filler episodes, that gets annoying. Heh it should be like naruto no filler.

Was one of the better episodes in recent memory, I even liked the last skirmish between Lisa, Hiyori, Hitsugaya and Harribel. Aizen at the end was awesome, he just commands attention in the Anime (even if he's getting tiresome in the Manga).
I don't so much mind the filler next ep, I always liked seeing more about the internal society of Hollows and i'd like to see more about what it was like before Aizen came in and shook things up. There are many parts of the Bleach universe which are not explored in the Manga and I don't think it's a bad thing to show them. Racing through canon content isn't always the best thing.
I am very excited for all the upcoming episodes. The serious battle starts and we're done with the espada. While as characters I enjoyed some of them (Ulq, Grimmjow, Starrk), the rest are mostly forgettable and those Fraccion fights before the most recent fillers were just torture.

great episode, really liked the additional tid-bits of extra fighting in this episode since the manga was always lacked content. Looking forward to the much awaited harriblel back story, good thing that kubo's trolling is only confined within the spaces of his manga...i mean...even nnoitra had a flashback in the manga..haha
overall, 8/10

Apparently there's gonna be fillers in 3 weeks. Not sure for how long, though. But the episode title mentioned Ichigo and a Magic Lamp or something...:notrust
Heh it should be like naruto no filler.
I really hope ur joking.:p

Great episode Stark was made so human having those feelings of loneliness. It almost made me hate shunsui it had me thinking leave him alone shunsui let him go. Matter of fact shunsui seemed almost happy given the circumstances it was almost like he forgot ukitake got impaled a couple of episodes back. I guess he has a short term memory.

I didn't like the episode. Too much non-canon material going on (like Starrk using the wolves against Shunsui).
I know they want to buy as much time as possible so that they don't have to go back to another 6 months of fillers so soon, but still, they're changing so much that it seems like the bleach anime is now only loosely based off of the manga.

i really enjoyed that episode the way he worried about linnete it was really sad but i think they could have made it so he was worried about her but she wasnt spearte from him. it was kind of strange that they say they are one but then she is clearly shown as the wolves. takaoni made no sense, all he did was charge down and it never hurt starrk. very weird.

i'm very surprised at the love this episode is getting.
i didn't think it was anything stellar. but maybe that's just because Stark was/is a huge disappointment to me, both as the #1 espada and as a character, and i'm not a pants-creaming Shunsui fan.
but i'm glad people are reacting positively. i get sick of the bitching and complaining that has become the norm. :p

it strange how far the anime is going tho..stark using wolves..come on...
altho not a aizen fan he look evil n menacing when he appeared in front of harribel n slowly walked up..shame out of the stuff they made up they didnt show some Gin vs Shinji filler.
oh n now according to the anime Stark is dead so anime covers a plot hole to make another one if kubo brings him back (which he shouldnt)..kubo said recently some characters will be back alive.
*sigh* harribel flashback time to ruin her character more as if kubo didnt do it enugh

Through the episode I noticed something that quite surprised me for the better that has returned to us after about 150 episodes and that is having RED BLOOD instead of ink or saliva dripping from stark's wound after the attack of black color, a mistake of Natsuko which he will be fired because of it or Pierrot actually got smarter and realised that due to such changes the emotions which those situations convey really do have much less impact because of the lack of blood.
Nonetheless great episode, I lovfed it and the filler which had Stark using his head, bring a cool looking weapon, be more emotional and having a good swordfight in between

What a great episode. It was nearly perfect. When I was reading this chapter in the manga I thought "Man, Stark is such a disappointment" but after this episode I really feel for him. He is so different from all the other Espada. He is actually human in his feelings and actions. I felt really sad when he died :( I also realized the reason he died so fast.... it's because Shussui is so damn strong ! Stark would have definitely mopped the floor with Love and Rose (unless they went bankai), but Shussui is just too good at his own "games." Also, Stark seems to be the only Espada that is truly loyal and indebted to Aizen. Sure, Ulq. ran some errands and never talked back to him or something, but he lived his own life so to speak. He had his own goals and ambitions. The only thing Stark ever wanted was to be around his comrades, and he got his wish.
PS : OMG SO MUCH BLOOD ! I loved it !!

I did not like the fight in general. I wouldn't have mind if it had just a little filler but as it turned out the fight was 90% made up stuff that did not even come close to resembling the manga. The part about lilinet dying when she collided with busho guma was a load of crap. It didn't quite make sense IMO. Also, the fight was animated and changed in a way unreasonably favorable to shunsui. Seriously, halfway through the fight starrk was already pissing his pants out of sheer fear. No point in watching the alledged canonical parts of the anime if they are not going to stick to the manga.

I don't get it...people complain about the manga, but when the anime try to explain the holes on the manga, people also complaim because it's not cannom...
I liked the episode... Lilinette helping Stark during the fight makes much more sense than the wolfs just disapearing on thin air, like in the manga.
I got sad for Stark's death, especially after he offered Love and Rose a chance to escape, but never got himself one. The guy was not evil, and not a treat to SS by himself, he junt wanted to be with his comrades.

PS : OMG SO MUCH BLOOD ! I loved it !!
... There was blood?:s
Starrk got gutted and all we got was some, what was that? Also, his wound in the chest was bleeding through the manga fight, and here it was like some sort of scar or something. He got pierced all the way through and didn't bleed at all?
[hr]
Fairly disappointed with this entire part of the manga, but it just seems to me that anime is making the top 3 look even worse. Hallibel getting pwned by Hiyori's shikai lol.
Action was a little bit better in this episode though, at least we didn't get that feeling like two rookies with sticks are doing battle, like in the previous Starrk vs Shunsui battles (seriously, their swordsmanship was pathetic o_O)
I didn't like the part where Lilynette died, and stuff like Starrk using wolves against Shunsui (Jesus how much more pathetic do they need to make Starrk). Also, Starrk wounded Shunsui much more seriously in the manga when he called white, yet here, it was just some random slash.
I really liked the feel anime got through though, about Starrk not really being the bad guy and his loneliness. It may have been different in the manga a bit, but it contributed to the feeling of the fight.
Also, is it just me or is anime making Shunsui look more like a dishonorable fighter?
tl;dr - liked the Starrk character expansion, disliked fighting (although it was better than the previous ones) and messing with cannon abilities

This was an alright episode.
The filler in the Starrk-Shunsui definitely wasn't acceptable. I think it would have been better if Starrk's flashbacks of his past were expanded instead adding what they did in this episode. The music that played when Shunsui was explaining his Zanpakutou for some reason felt appropriate :amuse
I did, however, like Starrk's defeat scene: with that music selection, it made you feel for his plight.
The Harribel vs. the three Shinigami fight was okay. I think it's funny that with the filler, it made her look stronger than in the manga what with Hitsugaya being shown in Bankai :p
I also notice the red blood being shown; I wasn't expected that but definitely boosted the coolness factor.

I always thought it was odd that Starrk's hollow hole was what Shunsui attacked.
Since it's supposed to be....a hole.
Or did that change somewhere during the series, and it just became a black circle?
Seriously before this episode I thought Shunsui cut Starrk's legs.

Good episode, first time in years bleach has actually had a meaningful character, they just about connected starks lonelyness with the whole story very well. Some more doggy animation with the stark and shunsai fight and only just redeemed it with the halibel fight, which i fought looked good. Nothing wrong with these fillers, if the animation is nice I have no issue.
Atleast this week we get Gin and Hirories magic trick :)

Hey, there was SOME and it's a heck of a lot more than previous episodes :amuse
Ya, I agree about the damage each character took. It was really dumbed down. I also laughed when Stark said (with a hole through his abdomen) "His injuries are worse than mine...." when he cut Shussui on the back.

I'm a bit behind on my Bleach episodes since I have been away so I'm catching up a bit :amuse. I've got to say that I really enjoyed this episode. It wasn't the best made one I've ever seen but I guess I was just really happy to see Shunsui's games animated. The way Starrk and Shunsui were portrayed in the end satisfied me and I feel that the Anime helped to make Starrk look a bit stronger and the battle a bit more fair in that the two seem more on par in their combat. I'm still really a big fan of how the wolves turned out and they were portrayed well in this episode as in the last one :). Also Stark's sword combat was a plus as well. The change of pace from the guns was pretty enjoyable.
