It's three days since the Inheritance Ceremony.
The Shimon Family gathering, "Rauji lost?" - Julie asks
Sad Enma, irritated Suzuki
"Isn't it okay for Kaoru to not fight? He stabbed Yamamoto" - Julie again
Suzuki: "Is there any new information from that man?"
Julie: "No, no. I'm with Enma since morning call."
Enma has an old photo of Iemitsu. Something weird with Julie's face.
Tsuna and co walk into a ruined town. In one of the houses ShittoPi is studying. No replying. After Dera calls out "Shitoppi-chan!" she comes out with a pleasure and says that he is weak because his Pride is him being Tenth subordinate.
Shippi's Pride is her being honest.
Dera lets Uri out. They have their usual 'meeting ceremony'. Uri takes her time scratching him and than changes. Dera adjusts his sunglasses... The end.
No Byakuran.

From Julie's explanations, it seems as if Iemitsu has something to do with the truth.
It's as though Simon met Iemitsu for the first time here, and Julie is manipulating Enma.

The chapter came out rather fast this week. Few random points that stood out:

-- Kaoru looked pissed when Julie said he didn't need to fight. He either a) doesn't like Julie and/or b) regrets hurting Yamamoto. At least one of the Simon have to be genuine about their feelings in the mini-Daily Life phase. Kaoru cried so I think he's the most sincere out of the bunch.

-- Looks like Julie/D. Spade is behind everything. Or most things. I never expected him to be that important when he first appeared.

-- Shitoppi-chan is like a domina- quite flashy with her new outfit. I never got to say this elsewhere but she's really pretty.

-- It's nostalgic to see the dynamites again.

I think that the one in charge of telling the Simons about Vongola, their powers etc is Byakuran. Though I think everyone already thought of that after Byaku appeared on the last page of the previous chapter...Byaku does look like someone who pairs out pretty well with Julie. Their minds abit alike except for the "prevert" part=-=

I wonder if Byaku's doing this:
1) for revenge...(way too boring if its that)
2) or maybe he wants them all (mainly the Vongola) to power up (maybe because the 2 first bosses asked for Byaku's help<?>Using his time travelling powers, he could have met them and they somehow asked him to do this and along with it, they left the "keys" to Byaku/Julie/Vindice to hand out to both families)
3) OR he just wants some fun<3~

eitherway, my guess is on #2. I feel that the 2 big bosses just wants the 2 families (maybe even other families/mafia) to achieve a stronger bond..So they, along with Byaku, started this whole plan to up their pride(?), bonds of trust and friendship, kinship etc...


LOLS...dont know...just my thoughts:p

I gotta say that this chapter's dialog was kinda corny. Shitt P's lines were like something u would read when your playing Pokemon and a trainer spots you and says some random shit.

IMO, the most interesting part of this chapter was not the revelation of Gokudera' Vongola Gear, but the reaction on Enma's face after seeing Iemitsu's picture and finding out that he is Tsuna's dad. This does 2 things:

1. Eliminates Iemitsu as the Vongola traitor.

2. Reveals the fact that Enma once met the CEDEF Outside Advisor in the past and holds a great deal of contempt for him.

Interesting stuff indeed.

It's now obvious that Julie is the one secretly pulling the strings here, and the next big plot development will revolve around exactly who he's working for. Is he secretly Daemon Spade in disguise? Is he working for a third family outside of both the Vongola and Shimon?

(Btw, if it turns out he's allied with Byakuran and some new Millefiore family, I'm going to immediately stop reading Reborn and eternally scorn Amano-sensei for coming up with such an asinine idea.)

Dare I say, the culprit behind everything currently going on is some governmental organization...

It feels good for the main plot to be moving.My opinion of Enma really drop to the lowest low ,enraged Enma looks horrible. It makes him look like a useless kid,maybe even a sob. Though i'm not really a fan of XX, at least his enraged face doesn't make XX's personality look bad.

New Uri looks horrible. I wonder if the gems on SP's clothes will tell us her flame attribute, anyway she looks more eccentric then ever.

Oh dear Gokudera, didn't anyone told you not to strap live ordinances all over your body.Gokudera's final attack will probably be a kamikaze....It will be interesting to see how Amano intergrates SISTEMA CAI with dynamits, there are probably dynamites with different flame attribute.

I like Julie as a character, and him having such an important role this arc just makes me happier. I've said it before, that even though I'm a Chrome fanboy, I still really like Julie, and not just because of his cool character design (I want that hat) :D! I'm loving the recent plot advancements and twists, especially the ones concerning Byakuran and Iemitsu. Oh, and I have to say that Shitt P. looks pretty damn hot this chapter, despite having that horrible haircut. She's rocking the Gaga sunglasses :D.

And I'm also pretty glad that Gokudera's gone back to using dynamite. His new gear is pretty cool, except for the fact that it looks like he's got seatbelts around his torso.

Well, I'm actually pretty sure Julie is just a dick, and that by the end of this arc him and D. Spade are going to be imprisoned by Vindice, forever.

That's when we'll see the spirits of Giotto and The Shimon Primo come out from the rings just to laugh their asses off at them.

Anyway, so, Julie is the one trying to control, and probably having success in controlling Enma's moves, kinda like Mukuro would do.

What's Iemitsu's connections to all this? Could it be that he is really the one behind the scenes like Julie says? If this is it, then I can imagine a father vs son fight in the future.

Shitt P. was way too talkative on this chapter, and she'll lose because of it. Gokudera has to win, else he'll remain a loser forever :| He's never won a freaking fight he's been in :| If he loses now, he might just kill himself, it's the best thing to do.

Regarding Byakuran, he's doing what he did on the last chapter to help Yamamoto and Vongola. Of that I am sure. 150% sure.

Amano said that we'd see them again, we even saw him @ the end of one volume, 31 I think, he was in a beach, with Vongola guards, and vongola mark on the shackle in his feet.

Trust me, he's one of the good guys now. How he regained his powers, well, that's a mystery to me. But he is there to help Yamamoto.

Mukuro, Genkishi, Mammon, Torikabuto, Frog Kid, Kawahira, D. Spade and now Julie. They all wear smiles and masks to hide who they truly are. As I said earlier, I believe Julie's just pulling the strings to make Enma and Tsuna fight...and in the process, the "bond of friendship" will be upheld.

I would like to scratch my opinion that Byaku came in from the 2 bosses time. I forgot that he cant time travel but only to dimension travelling. Which then gives me an option3, he could have gone to different dimensions of Tsuna and saw how horrible the Simons did..maybe worst than him. So to apologize for what he did in the future, he's now helping them in a different way.

Or maybe Byaku's just playing together with Mukuro and JulieXD

Byaku sounds more like a Mist though..so mischievous and he's like someone who wears a mask:p

After losing both Aoba and Rauji on top of seeing visions of Cozart's history with Giotto, Enma's resolve was starting to waver. Seeing this, Julie thought it best to reinforce his Boss' contempt for the Vongola for the sake of furthering his own plans, whatever they may be. By implying (or revealing) that CEDEF was the organization responsible for what happened to Enma's ancestors, Julie was able to rekindle Enma's hatred and keep him going down the path he was on.

I like where this arc is going.

That's not the way I understood that part. I think he made such a face because he believes the one responsible for Simmon's disgrace is a close relative to Tsuna, and it strengthened his resolve to beat the Vongola, and especially Tsuna himself. But I don't think he ever met Iemitsu yet.

And about the Goku vs S.P. battle : so we now have the classic duel between "fight for your own sake" and "power to protect the ones dear to you"... and we all know how this ends up in shounen.

"Myth busted. The Vongola are justice!"

But I know it won't happen. Still, I'm hoping for Gokudera to pull a win.

i hope he wins, he is the character who really tries the hardest to improve himself but still never wins. but in a battle of pride I'm sure gokudera will actually win this fight.

Yes, we have Gokudera's track record but it will be interesting if he lost. Interesting as in Tsuna will be left with the guardians who don't listen to him: Lambo and Hibari. (Mukuro doesn't count because he's sort of with Chrome.)

My fondness for Shitoppi-chan grew this chapter. She has an octopus pencil. Not that I'm implying anything. She's free-thinking and doesn't care about the norms. I love that. I'm hoping that my guess about her flame will be correct!

Yamamoto is out so either way the battle wouldn't occur (as of now). Kaoru shed some tears*, and his attack was more of a nervous jolt than anything else.

*Yamamoto and the others never saw him cry so it wasn't as though he was faking it. At least from my interpretation...

I finally found the strength to comment. I adored this chapter and fangasmed over @my LJ. So many emotions crossed Enma's face!*fangirl mode on, sorry* And, the whole-remaining-Simon are being fleshed out. Adelheid's sadness, Kaoru's irritation... Julie/Daemon is just a manipulative "magnificent bastard". And, this arc's plot becomes thicker and thicker... What's CEDEF got to do with everything? Then, the second part of the chapter is refreshingly hilarious. I like how this series is managing to keep the funny and the angsty SO CLOSE to each other. It's not an easy task at all. I'm starting to like its aesthetic exaggerations too[read: VONGOLA GEAR]. Gokudera's (and Uri's) outfit are sparkling with awesomeness. Oh, and I must say I adore Shitt.P now. Her pride is the same as mine if I interpreted it well. xD But I'm a lot weaker and with less self-esteem. [no-one cares about this, lol]

I'm not sure whether I'd like Gokudera to win or lose. Either of the two might be interesting... If he got a draw or lost, we would have an interesting reaction on Tsuna's side (yup, I'm getting sadistic). If he won, well, it'd be his first true victory in the whole series if I'm not wrong. And I think Gokudera should be there until the end to explain what the hell did he understand about the Tsuna/Reborn relationship. [see previous chapters]

[sorry, I've just read you eventually corrected yourself about Byakuran's time-travelling powers, but still I felt like clearing things up, so, no bad feelings:]

Apart from the fact that Byakuran has powers related with DIMENSIONS, NOT TIME, but WHY ON EARTH should Giotto and Cozart ask Byakuran for help? The only time Giotto met Byakuran, he asked Tsuna to "give the Mare Boy a scare". Oh, just to clear things up, Mare Rings don't seem to allow their users to physically CROSS dimensions. Byakuran had to perform a "ritual" (in which he stretches his wings) to gather info from other dimensions. The only Byakuran who "crossed dimensions" is GHOST, and this brought to:
-the complete destruction of his dimension
-him not being exactly... human.
Not even Vongola Rings, which are the ones actually related to time, allow its users to time-travel. Again, NOT PHYSICALLY at least. The Miracle of the Shield Dimension allows Giotto to appear during the battle between Byakuran and Tsuna but "he cannot lend Tsuna his strength in battle", as he himself says. The only real time travel happened thanks to the Juunen Bazooka and Shoichi Irie's Time Travelling machine.
My notes might not be accurate, but I think I'm right, so if you find proof against what I said, link it and I'll be more than happy to discuss.

Whenever XX gives the enraged look it doesn't make him look pathetic since he is not the happy kind of person. The thing is that Enma's enraged look this chapter really made him look pathetic . I know its not he's fault that he is being manipulated but.... With all these being said ,i guess my opinion of him would be more positive when the real Shimon-Vongola situation is revealed, since we will most likely know about why didn't he run,how Enma got indoctrinated etc. Oh and i'm not a XX fan.

Gokudera won against Levi during the Sky Ring battle...just throwing that out there in case somebody forgot :P And even though he didn't got the ring I consider he won his match against Belphegor, you can't deny he owned Bel and the reason why he lost helped him value himself more, knocked-out his enemy and displayed character development, that's a win to me.

There was indeed a developement during the battle and right after it, but few chapters later, you don't see any trace of these developments anymore =_=

I think Gokudera has several moments in this arc that showed he changed:

1. He gathered every member of his family as well as the Simon after Tsuna got attacked by the Cloud guy.

2. In 294 he said that he will never forgive the culprit who hurt Yamamoto. I also interpreted that as he will never allow any harm to come to his family.

3. He complimented Lambo during and after the battle against Large. He even encouraged TYL Lambo when the latter didn't feel like fighting.[hr]
After Large whose pride was to serve Enma, it's quite a shift to have SP whose pride is not following anybody. I'm still wondering how she ended up within Enma's close circle.

With Byakuran suddenly in the fray like that, and us not seeing him this chapter, I wouldn't be surprised if Gokudera ended up getting a pride boost from someone outside the Vongola.

I'm of the opinion that they are responsible for Byakuran's appearance in Yamamoto's room. With the likes of someone like Irie (and to a greater extent, Tsuna) to guide and influence Byakuran, he could easily be used as a force for good.

For this upcoming chapter, I predict a showcase of both Gokudera and Shitt P.'s basic abilities, with the Shimon Guardian's powers really seeming very UMA-ish (eye lasers, hidden missiles, etc.) haha.

Yamamoto is out so either way the battle wouldn't occur (as of now). Kaoru shed some tears*, and his attack was more of a nervous jolt than anything else.

I'm pretty sure most of the Shimon is willing to fight any vongola guardian . I know that given the set up Kaoru is 'destined' to fight Yamamoto , but from a realistic POV if Kaoru did go out i'm sure he will be willing to fight any vongola guardian.

If she's the type who will fight for herself only (being true to herself), it might be that the Simon's plight strike a cord with her own 'truth' and that the revenge is just part and parcel. Something like fighting for what she feels is justice, instead of what the Simon (or Enma for instance) think is right.

That image of Julie-Spade some chapters back still bugs me... So far, with one win and one draw, Vongola and Simon does show that they are both on par with each other, which makes me wonder is this a showdown to de-throne Vongola or to crush Simon? The thought that Spade might have to do with everything and given his personality in the anime (not sure if that's canon?), all these seems like an effort to erase any traces of Giotto's vision of Vongola than killing off the mafia 'Vongola'. With Enma raging over Tsuna's Dad, it feels as though Julie is stirring anti-Tsuna thoughts more than anti-Vongola.

And about Chrome being vulnerable, I wouldn't say she failed as a mist guardian, but rather, why does Mukuro allowed Chrome to be in the hands of the enemy in the first place? Is he observing and forming opinions in the dark or just maybe... is he being held up somewhere that prevents him from appearing? I remembered him warning Tsuna about Xanxus's evil intentions in the rings arc, wouldn't be surprised if he saw through this one and someone just stepped in earlier to keep him silent.

Has anyone ever thought that if one of the Vongola Guardian lost whose going to clean the mess left behind? What will happen with Shimon Guardian that just beat the Vongola Guardian? I could only think of 3 possibilities.

A.After Winning they fight the next Guardian?

B.After Winning they retreat?

C.After Winning they understand they are good guys and appoint Tsuna to the next destination?

Anyways I still think that every Vongola except for Chrome will win the battle. I predicted the fight between Julie is not with Chrome but will be with Mukuro and Vindice will make an exception to let Mukuro take part in this battle. The pride and competition is going to be who loves Chrome move :D Winner will be Mukuro and Vindice comes out to take both Mukuro and Julie away. There is no escape for Mukuro win, lose,or draw Mukuro will be lock back up in Vindice once the fight is over bringing Julie along (Mukuro: Kufufu)

I have been thinking about the Vongola Vs Simon family Guardian fights. I am thinking that maybe all of the Simon family will lose except for Enma and Julie. I think that since Julie seems to be pulling the strings of the family I think he wants to get Enma alone for some reason. I think that the end fight will be Julie Vs Mukuro and Tsuna Vs Enma. I think that there will be a way for Mukuro to be freed from Vindice for the fight and after the fight somehow. I think that Tsuna will want to help the Simon family in the end because of Julie's scheme, Enma's letter, and the Vongola traitor.

I have been thinking about Shitopi's pride. I have this strange feeling that she may have been bullied in her past. She is both very smart and looks unusual. If Shitopi was bullied in the past then her desire to fight for her own self worth would make sense.

I think that the fight between Gokudera and Shitopi will be interesting because of the philosophic nature of is it better to fight to protect someone or to fight to defend your own self. It really goes back to the beginning with Gokudera who was completely willing to die to protect Tsuna. Now he still wants to protect Tsuna but he wants to live to stand by his side after he has protected him. I think that he also wants to keep the rest of the family safe too.

I am looking forward to the outcome of this fight. I am also looking forward to learning about a new Earth flame. I hope that during this fight we might get to see a little bit of Byakuran and Yamamoto too.

As far as I remember those betrayal of Spade was only portrayed in fillers of the anime... it wasn't really nice to have a ghost hunting :o or a ghost on revenge.:eyeroll
