Alrighty guys...

Seems that I have now the whole Reborn community out for my blood due to recent changes made to the spoilers of Reborn in hopes to makes things easier.

Here is the story... so everyone knows the whole deal.

Before these changes were made... I was receiving many complaints (as I am now) about how they were tired of seeing new posts in the spoiler thread just to see it was a member just gleeing over whatever spoiler info was present at the time... instead of actual spoilers or a meaningful post.

For those that know me for more than just a "faceless Mod" know that I am not an ass and am quite friendly to those that choose to speak with me... either thru PM or from my "Meet the Mods" Thread.

That being said, I went to the higher ups to see what we could do to try and fix this issue that so many members were having an issue with.

Since this section does not have anywhere near the traffic that Naruto, One Piece or Bleach does and the fact that each week spoilers are so ill regular... we could not justify having a thread for spoiler info and a separate thread for the discussion of said spoilers... much like how the big 3 have.

So we decided to try and have people just post spoiler info and post that had any importance to said spoilers.

This of course worked a little... but more than not, we had members just post (as an example) how they thought Character "X" looks so cool and awesome! Or how they think Character "Y" has a great new move!

So on and so on...

These comments are fine when they are accompanied by a well thought out post that added to the discussion... as post are meant to.

But they are not fine when that is all a member post. This is not just my rule, it is the sites rule. They are considered one-liner comments. (http://mangahelpers.com/forum/announcement.php?f=640&a=117)

So many members are forgetting that the purpose of making a post is to inform others of their opinion of the spoiler/chapter and to allow others to discuss their said opinions.

Instead... mostly during spoiler info time, we have members just posting something that adds nothing to the thread and is just a comment of uber glee or disappointment that is just a statement rather than something others can discuss.

With allowing these comments to exist and continue... forces the thread into a downward spiral of bashing and flaming of either the series, characters or other members.

I have to delete these type of posts to prevent this... thus is my job.

So as many of you may know and many may not... for simple reasons of deciding to not pay attention to thread rules, I am forced to lock the thread because comments and warnings that I make go ignored.

You have to understand that I am doing this for the members, not to be an ass.

I can understand being excited over a new chapter and its development... but even before I was a mod, I made sure to make a post that added to the discussion and not some pointless statement about how I thought something was awesome or not.

With all this being said... the spoiler thread shall go back to allowing discussion... the key word here being DISCUSSION.

I will continue to enforce the rules that I spoke about earlier in this post of deleting comments made of one-liners and statements of excitement or disappointment.

Again... I am not discouraging you not to state those feelings. I am asking you to please take the time to post a more thought out post with said feelings.

This is not much to ask and also should not cause anyone to continue with their displeasure with how I am trying to help this section improve and bring members together to discuss a series we love.

I of course welcome your thoughts and opinions... those that have sent me PM's know this already.

But as with the series.... be respectful towards what I have said and what other may say as well.

Thank you and I do care for all of the members of this section along with the Fairy Tail section that I also Mod.

To make this simple you could just make a post by you under the opened thread and add spoilers and edit as you go so that others could make their own comments? Unfortunately this does detract from users participating at all. Except the regulars who come to the forum. But yeah I do see this being a bit problomatic but understandable given your forums policy on traffic. Which could be changed but thats up to the staff and owners.

We were doing that very method you mentioned and we were still getting the complaints...

Again I feel that too many ignore the things they should not.

Thanks for the comment. :)

I think it's mostly confused new members, but they may be SO CONFUSED, because you post lots of advices/warnings/etc..., and most of them are ignored.

Sometimes i see new people that don't post again ever, or in some months, i mean, it's not that difficult to read or use common sense before posting.

Sometimes we see some off-topic parts or spoilers that pop up, sure we all want to have the last word, but thinking a little bit will make us all know if we really all have to post "Wow, spoilers, Vongola blah, blah, Shimon blah, blah, seems awesome!"

Even in the discussion threads which is free to post i sometimes skip posting if i see my post does not provide relevant information.
But sometimes i fall, and then always regret some one-liners or non relevant posts i do.

So please, people, before clicking the "Submit Reply" button, read your posts, think about them. If you read the post and it goes a little bit off-topic or does not provide good info, don't post it!

Thanks for your hard work with the Fairy tail and Reborn! forums ghostexiled, you're awesome^^

what if the person post the fake spoiler. i don't like the spoiler to be like half plus six like that.

unfortunatley there is no control on how long or short a spoiler is. For quite some time now, we have been getting short spoilers.

As far as them being fake or not... they usually are real. But again, most of the members that post the spoilers know where to get them and who to get them from.

Even if they turn out to be fake... we have no way of knowing until some kinda confirmation comes along.

It certainly is nowhere as bad as it is in the Big 3 spoilers.

What's the matter? If you create a single thread for every chapter, people will comment there... You can't claim thatpeople comment in the wrong place if there is only a thread... I don't see the matter about a spoiler thread and a comment thread... really...

It is not my place to say whether or not we do that... that is all Admin's deal.

It is their rule... so if you wish to challenge it, you will need to PM an Admin.
