in the 517th chapter,Kankuro said to his companies that their side would use illusions to trick Kabuto into ending Edo-tensei --> http://www.mangareader.net/93-58746-6/naruto/chapter-517.html
But Kabuto told Kakashi he wouldn't talk no matter what sort of torture or illusions they try on him http://www.mangareader.net/93-94-4/naruto/chapter-89.html
So,Kabuto won't end Edo-tensei,and if he was killed, zombies would remain. I think Kishi know this and want to make a surprise. what do you think about that? will the world stop Kabuto or are they going to fight every dead ninjas?

I can only say: good catch, man xD
Though.. I don't think Kishi remembers such details :p He let someone has the phrase of putting Kabuto into genjutsu and to make him end ET just for the sake of.. doing it in some time <after all zombies will be captured in some way or another, and some will "free" themselves like Shin :p> to prevent someone doing mass Shiki Fujin, imo xd

Kishi surely knows it,SURELY! he knows by heart his manga. I even know almost all Naruto by heart(I think as you members know). remember when Hayate used versus Baki the leaf-style crescent moon cutter http://www.mangareader.net/93-97-8/naruto/chapter-92.html
and in the 517 Omoi used it but in the cloud-style
http://www.mangareader.net/93-58746-13/naruto/chapter-517.html
or when Hiruzen remembered the hokages (read what Tobirama tells him) http://www.mangareader.net/93-128-14/naruto/chapter-123.html
and while Danzo died http://www.mangareader.net/93-46747-9/naruto/chapter-481.html
Kishi remembered everything he wrote for years

Kabuto could have used the old ninja art of bluffing when talking about his resistance to torture and tricks.

Kabuto is not immune to all type of Genjutsu.. For example Sasuke's Genjutsu or Itachi's would get him no matter what medical skill he knows.

Some genjutsu are stronger than the will...
For example, if someone was to use something like Shusui's sharingan, Kabuto would end the Edo Tensei and would think that it was his own idea, so he will not fight back.
I don't think they are aiming for a torture-type of genjutsu...
More of an illusion-type forcing him to think it's the thing to do.

We don't know that...
Sure Itachi was genjutsu-god and Sasuke looks to be good at it, but Kabuto IS the genius of this manga.
He can basically pull out ANYTHING out of his ass, and make it sound reasonable because it's him.
I wouldn't be surprised at all, if he's somehow immune to genjutsu :P

im 99% sure that Sasuke will be the one who will kill all edo zombies, he has EMS and Itachi's sword that is the best weapon to do the job

why would Sasuke have the sword and/or mirror? Itachi never gave them to Sasuke nor did sasuke ever use them while he was using his MS.

The conversation that Kakashi and Kabuto had was nearer the start of the story, and alot was based upon the knowledge of what we, the readers had seen already, since then we have learned more about s-class and forbidden jutsu's, and as of yet we have yet to see a non uchiha appart from Jiraiya use some SERIOUS genjutsu, that being said I do believe that a strong enough genjutsu master could quite easily bend Kabuto to their will, a number of pains were overcame by Jiraiya so to say Kabuto would be impervious would be going against all we know in the manga.
What we should point out is that Madara will fiercely protect Kabuto while he is of use to him - the edo-tensei's are of a great use to him, so getting to use a form of genjutsu or capturing him will be nearly impossible.

Kabuto wasn't joking or bluffing when he spoke with kakashi. And Now that kabuto is one of the strongest i think he is albe to win versus the strongest genjutsu like tsukuyomi, shisui's and the frog's one

I don't think kabuto is the type to reveal information through the village's conventional torturing techniques as brutal as they may be. Even if he is captured it would take considerable amount of time to get anywhere at all if that is even possible.

...
Shisui couldn't fight itachi's genjutsu, who leads him to suicide and maybe to write on that paper his confession(that would say itachi's illusion is better and strongest than sishui's and that those genjutsus are similar) so I think that Kabuto too is able to win versus uchiha's genjutsus

I thought they implied that Shisui's written suicide note could have been forged by another Uchiha, due to their ability to Sharingan-copy movement (ala Sasuke, Chuunin Shiken, Part 1)... I don't think we have any confirmation about Shisui vs Itachi in the Genjutsu department....

Well, I agree, there are certain techniques that could indeed do that to a shinobi of kabuto's caliber however those are by all intents and purposes even rarer than shinobi of kabuto's caliber. None of the villages have access to a legitimate sharingan succesor for one thing. In that sense, tsukioyomi, regular sharingan genjutsu and shishui's genjutsu are out of question. Seriously, the 3 strongest genjutsu the manga has ever bothered to show are ruled out just like that. I guess there are still other reasonably powerful genjutsu but could they realistically match up to what we have seen until now? Above that, genjutsu of the sheer caliber to get kabuto to do something like that should be in themselves rarer than shinobi of kabuto's caliber. Even if kabuto is captured I can't imagine him being tricked so easily even with a horde of genjutsu and drugs. Heck, genjutsu is a field where kabuto himself has shown to be quite proficient (he placed an entire stadium full of people under the effects of an a rank genjutsu) and to a great extent it should be weird drugs would work on him at all given all the knowledge he should have on the topic and all the stuff which should be on his bloodstream by now... Even if they do capture kabuto it would take a long while to get him to do such a thing assuming it is possible at all.

Whatever he meant back at that time, now i believe he is more prepared to defend against genjutsu. I think his snake is the measure against genjutsu, it can act his partner, bite and snap him out of illusion. Beating him with genjutsu won't be as easy as it was against oro.

uh...guys, REMEMBER that Kankuro said "our side" and no uchiha is alive,so noone can use a genjutsu versus Kabuto. Ninja who are able to use a stronger genjutsu aren't in the world alliance, and for this reason I think Kishi remembers Kabuto's sentence and will fail Kankuro's plan

Well, in all fairness it was only extremely powerful genjutsu that got orochimaru. Itachi was arguably the strongest genjutsu user the manga has ever seen. Saying it was "easy" against orochimaru is a bit inappropriate considering the sheer skill those nasty sharingan users he fought had. Not sure about the snake doing that though, I would think orochimaru would have also been able to think of something like that on his own. Perhaps kabuto has a few barriers placed in his head though like that rain shinobi which jiraiya brought back.

Where does it say there arent strong enough genjutsu users in the alliance? we have yet to see the full range of the Kage's skills, also as a whole the manga has focused on the Konoha ninjas, now with the alliance it has expanded its numbers by a huge amount, so now we get the possibility of seeing other villages specialized clans and top ninjas for that reason alone.
Now I don't disagree that Kabuto is strong, infact he is in the top 5 now I would say, but every character has its weakness, him included... We just have yet to see what his is, what I would like to point out tho is that as much as I say this, and believe that if someone is proficient enough at using genjutsu they could overcome Kabuto with it, Kabuto himself has now become too much of a main player to be taken down by a support character... Kishi's plans are *WAY* too big for Kabuto to have him taken down in the way Akatsuki members have been by teamwork etc.. something else I'd like to point out is that the Edo Tensai zombies are just padding, if you notice Kishi has made them lose without much of a problem at all, he has made the zombie characters act all complacent because they can't "die" so they become careless and lose their basic ninja skills... Sadly this takes away from what could have been some truely epic battles.

@kkck about oro not thinking of using a snake...i would point out that one would've thought he would use ET the way kabuto did. Or jiraya should've thought to use KB in naruto's training the way kakashi did. The point is such thoughts out of box don't always hit everyone, even if they were the maestros. And the way oro kept dropping his guard around itachi should've made it pretty much easy to genjutsu him. His body wasn't merged to another snake like kabuto's is, and kabuto strikes me as a much more careful opponent...

I was under the impression kabuto and orochimaru had the same type of body(perhaps kabuto is just one big snake while orochimaru is several hundreds of them though). Even the use both of them seem to give to snakes is about the same.... Also, orochimaru did not lower his guard around itachi, itachi's genjutsu was simply that good...

You have answered your own question there :) sometimes the jutsu you are facing is too strong to be resisted, Izanagi being the foremost of these most likely, Kabuto revered Orochimaru, this shows how strong Orochimaru was/is yet when faced by a master genjutsu user in Itachi he was reduced to the level of a genin in an instant.
The hard thing will be getting a chance to use anything on him as he is probably the most intelligent character in the manga he will know the tactics which will be employed to counter him.

Itachi told Kisame "It's said that every strong man has a weak point"

maybe Kishi remembers it and want to use this sentence too XD

Lol at Kabuto being so awesome an Uchiha is needed to put him into a genjutsu.
He was put into a genjutsu alongside Team7 in the Forest of Death. And he wasn't faking it, he was surprised he got caught.
The Rain genins are hardly Itachi's Tsukiyomi level in genjutsu. Sure Kabuto got better, but he won't grow immune to any non Tsukiyomi genjutsu.

I think kabuto was faking that time. I mean, the guy was said to be capable of fighting at kakashi's level and had medical skill comparable to tsunade since his true identity was revealed. Above that, his mission was to keep tabs on sasuke and investigate his level, it was to the benefit of his mission to let himself fall into the genjutsu. Not to mention he turned out to be more than capable of using A ranked genjutsu so he clearly is quite proficient at it. I don't think regular A ranked genjutsu would work on him for the most part to get him to release the edo tensei.

You are right.
In the anime, they implied Kabuto wasn't faking (he thought to himself "I got caught ?" looking surprised), but in the manga, he has just a faint smile looking at the dead centipede and doesn't look surprised in the slightest.
And as usual, the anime version is the one imprinted in my mind.

There is no way for me that Kabuto could beat Itachi's Genjutsu.. He isn't even a Jinchuriki. To me Madara is far more powerful than Kabuto even in the state he was is in before getting the rinnegan

Kabuto summoned even Itachi and Nagato,i don't understand how Someone could fight against all those zombies. Kabuto has a snake that can put its chakra and stop the illusion.
