We have to check the cast, cause studio effects can make voices very similar. The other day a friend thought that Kanda's seyiuu (D.Gray-man) was the same as Sasuke's when he is actually the same as Sasori.

Nidaime has always had the same voice as Pain.
Ken'yū Horiuchi did Nidaime back in Part 1 and did Pain in Part 2 :)

The only thing annoying was the last ninja being beaten by water drops from the last jutsus clashs.

Very good episode.. I hoped they would show Kosuke to have advanced to Chunin atleast as his skill would qualify him to maybe special Jonin or even Jonin. Music when Naruto talks to Kosuke and the later remembers his failure in the past was amazing.. They should really use this one in the shippuden episodes.

I think they've killed more ninja in this episode than in all of Naruto. :o I did like how they placed traps, that was pretty neat. I also liked the different philosophies when it came to countries treating their genin. The episode was good except the female earth ninja losing to water droplets. I guess the anime staff has just as hard a time killing girls as Kishi does. :eyeroll

No,he's the Eternal Genin!He qualifies as awesome by that alone, the nice old man that can help us kill out enemy's.Besides I think it's good for a man his age to do things at that pace as opposed to normal chunin missions.

wow this ep was good! filler at its finest. its was fun and entertaining. animation was pretty smooth. so much happened in this single ep. filler eps like this is pretty rare.

the meSSage of this episode was great I just hoped that nidaime had more screentime.. anyways, the old genin's flashbacks regarding the teachings of the hokages really touched me.. :)

The only bad part of this episode was the way the villain chick was owned, what's up with that? I turned a blind eye to that anyway, as the rest of the episode was flawless and rather good. The next episode looks hilarious too, looking forward to it! I got to say I'm really liking these random part 1 fillers.

loved this episode it had a very nice flow to it. if this is going to be the quality of the filler than they should be enjoyable until the real actions kicks in. also we should send a petition to the animators to rehire toshiro mashuda. that guy is seriously amazing. no matter how lame the scene just his music lifts up the entire scene.

the anime staff should pay a bit more attention to the manga. it was quite funny that naruto was able to figure out that his clones were wiped out when actually at that point he should have no idea.

i had the same doubt so i went back and read the chapter where kakashi tells naruto about kagebunshin's experience going back to original.

kakashi's clone takes naruto's clone in the forest and they paly rock paper scissors and naruto's wins. when the clone is dispersed naruto realizes. the way it was presented made it seem that naruto realized for the first time that he was able to figure out how his clones worked.:o

anyways its a trivial thing ;) just another way of showing how stupid naruto was/is. :p
